Skye

Skye

D-rank
Bending over and picking up a handful of the yellow sand, he smiled. There was going to be a little pain in his heart leaving his old village. The memories and events that took place when he used to be there made him a bit saddened to leave. As he walked past the large clay buildings, he looked up and admired their shapes and overall structure. Suna was an amazing place. Skye considered himself lucky to be born in such a place. Though the weather was hot and next to unbearable, and the beauty of the sand added onto the kind people there was what truly made him happy to be there. But alas, all good things must come to an end.

Skye headed straight into the scorching desert and made his way back home. The first few steps were the hardest to take. He’d miss Suna, but it would be good to get back to Kumo. His students weren’t quite done with Chuunin exams, but he didn’t have time to stay with them. Being a Jounin and a Clan leader, he had a vast amount of responsibilities to take care of. Missions were going to be the main issue. No doubt the Chuunin exams would have made missions pile up and the amount of people needing assistance would skyrocket. Whatever he was walking back to, he’d have to deal with.

As much as he felt like just turning back and remaining in Suna, his judgment got the better of him. Continuing on, he made it out of the scorching desert and into the forest that bordered Suna’s lands. Of course the sudden change of scenery took him by surprise. It seemed to always catch him off guard about how quickly the environment changed around him. Hell, sometimes he even got lost when travelling. What would usually happen from there would be him searching all over the place for the road, heading the wrong direction, checking a map, and then turning around. Laughing as he continued on, he could only think of all the times he did so. Putting his hands behind his head, he started to think about the souvenirs and some of the foods he brought along with him for the trip.

Finding a small open area to rest, he sat down and put his pack down in front of him. Fumbling through its contents, he pulled out some food he had previously gotten in Suna. Laying back on the grass and using his pack as a pillow, he stared up at the dense clouds above. Squinting up at them as he took a bite, Skye noticed the wisps of water and wind getting darker. A single raindrop fell and hit him directly on the forehead. “Oh great… just what I need… rain…” With a sigh, he stood up and put the contents of his pack away. The rain started coming down almost instantly. Heavy and cold, he rushed forward as fast and far as he could. His main goal was to get out of the rain as quick as possible. Skye got pretty far considering he was sprinting in the rain. Where he ended his sprint wasn’t too far from Kumo.

Through the rain, he could make out the dark silhouettes of Kumo’s buildings. Hurrying forward and past the main gate, he found the nearest public building and headed inside to escape the rain. He was soaked, but at least he was home safe and sound. Looking around the room he was in, he saw a chair and immediately sat down. He’d stay there until the rain passed.
