~ Must be Home ~
--

A familiar hue of blue light burned brightly through the forest canopies, illuminating the gaps between the tall-standing trees in an array of celestial magnificence. The forest floors were carpeted with a gentle assortment of rare and colourful flowers that were generously outnumbered by the repetitious beds of untrimmed grass that littered the scene. A pair of flat layers of gravel and dirt trailed their lengths across the forest scape, running through the scenery in a parallel march between adjacent countrysides with all their functionalities. The heavens could not have dreamt of a more alluring display of elegant beauty, completely unphased by the brutally unforgiving touch of man, resilient in its own permitting way. A bright greyish haze, undoubtedly cast by the emerging Sun, cut diagonally across the landscape, reminding the cunning swordsman of the eventual direction of his journey.

Binsu stood a few feet away from his camp, gazing across the forest scape and drifting his eyes from one end of the gravel path to the other. His student Kazui would wake up eventually, only to see her master already packed up and ready to go. The Jounin was never the type to let circumstances dictate the rate of his activities; he’d wake before he had to and sleep before he wanted to. Today however seemed different. He hadn’t woken up with the same amount of excitement as he would before a big trip such as the one he would go on today. His thoughts were on the new Raikage and what he or she would make of his uncatalogued departure. A chilling wave of doubt washed over the shores of his hopes and goals. Perhaps his return would be greeted by a much-deserved prison sentence, which made a hell of a lot more sense than a medal and pat on the back for what little information he could share with the new kage of his village. Nevertheless, should he be denied re-entry back into the village as an ally, the swordsman would simply continue his travels towards Sunagakure, convinced he would be more than capable of escaping prison and fighting off what little manpower Kumo still had left.

With his two swords Daken and Hada-no-Ken slung loosely across his back, and the rest of his camping equipment sealed within one of his scrolls, Binsu would make his way towards his student’s tent. His face was still hidden behind his iconic porcelain mask and his voice still muffled by the built-in voice changer. His hood worn over his head. Underneath his usual hooded, crimson-red coat he’d wear his modified ANBU armour. After stopping a few inches away from the opening of the tent he’d say, “Kazui, it’s time for us to go.” Cerberus, the Jounin’s feline companion, had been sent out by the latter to scope out any potential traps that might lie ahead. The panther would travel approximately ninety meters ahead of the group and cry out it’s exclusive growl should it detect any threats along it’s path. It’d then stay within a meter of the danger and wait for the arrival of its human companions. The masked swordsman would wait for his student to get ready, before embarking on his journey towards the borders of Kumogakure no Sato.

The pair would slowly begin their half-day trip towards Kumogakure shortly after demolishing their tents and eliminating all evidence of it's existance. Binsu would walk at a steady pace along the twisted pathway, before leaping into the trees above him and urging his student to follow in his footsteps. Using merely the balls of his feet, the masked swordsman would push his mass from tree branch to tree branch, soaring freely through the air towards the next distant tree every once in a while, before planting his right foot down against the next strongest tree branch and then quickly pushing off against its weight towards the direction of the lighting country. It'd take the trio the good half of a day to reach the Kumogakure birders alone, though upon arrival Binsu would advise his student to enter the village gates alone and meet him inside the next morning. The truth behind the proposal was that Binsu knew he would be thrown into prison the moment he set foot into the village, but he didn't want his student to have to witness his capture. After a dozen hours or so the trio would reach the edge of the Kumogakure border, at which point Binsu advised the young girl to go on ahead without him, reassuring him that he would surely be able to see her again the next morning.
