Posting order:

This was it, the moment of truth. Kenji had chosen to have his squad meet on the outskirts of the secret Chikara Base. The base was mostly farm land, and to outsiders, they just assumed it to be an extension of the Rice paddy fields. Kenji used to train in this area as a youth. The place was a clear and somewhat snowy pasture. The ground was always a bit marshy. Behind him was the Castiline Cabin, a majestic and serene locale. The outside was painted a sleek grey. The cabin was enormous and inside was over 50 meters in radius of empty space.

Kenji walked, a swirl of nostalgia hit him. He bounced lightly, feeling the creak of the old floor boards. This used to be a dojo that rivaled the Akako family dojo. But it's been a long time since it's been in business. There a few scattered benched. But for the most part it was just empty space, 50 meters in radius and about 30 meters hight. The interior still looked good. The floors and walls were a mix of grey and blue, and shined royally, even after all these years.

Kenji waited for his students to arrive at this grand location that he had given them the directions to. What Kenji had in store for them really wasn't that bad. He was simply going to have them fight him. He was looking to determine how quickly they would be able to adapt to each other's syles in order to defeat a common enemy, and a superior enemy at that. Ren already had intel on Kenji's ability, so she would have to communicate the information to Takeshii sucessfully in the heat of combat, or if either of them was perceptive enough to discern what Kenji had planned, they could've discussed it on the way, assuming they traveled together which was unlikely.

Kenji was eager to witness first hand the next development of his squad. Kenji was fully equipped. He had his hane and rusty katana strapped to his back making an "X" and he had his gloves of reflection. Not to mentions his projectiles, most of which were inside his pouch around his waist. It was approaching quarter till 7, so he expected one of them was to arrive soon.

“Why does it always have to be somewhere cold,” Ren shivered as she made her way to the designated meeting place.   She was grateful it wasn’t as cold as their last meeting place, and unless there was a breeze her warm clothing at least made her feel comfortable.  The young shinobi was excited for whatever was coming up for the squad, and she would be lying if she said she wasn’t ready for a little action.

Ren’s feet sunk a little into the marshy soil with each step, and as the decaying grey building came into view she picked up her pace a little.  She wondered for a minute why they could be meeting here, were a group of missing nin camped nearby?  Was there an ancient scroll or artifact for them to recover here?  As she slid open the wooden door to the ancient dojo she peered through the haze of dust that had lifted into the air.

Catching the dark blue hair of her sensei deep in the room, the horned shinobi stepped inside.

“Hi Kenji sensei, what kind of mission do we have in store today?”

(OOC: Sorry for the wait. ^^;)

Takeshii strolled through the wilderness, keeping in mind all that that Ren and he had talked about the night before over hot cocoa. Takeshii had been proactive, and decided that it would be a good idea to at the very least know what his team mate was capable of. Everything that he knew about her, she'd also know about him.

For example, he was aware that she was a specialist in both the scickle and chain, and the long Scythe. He also knew that she came from wealth, but was unaware of ANY information regarding her clan or its techniques. He also knew that she had a temper problem at times. He was aware that she specialized in fuuton and raiton like him, and that their jutsu repertoire were largely similar. Ren would be aware that Takeshii had good reflexes, good perceptive abilities, and was a fast learner. She'd also be aware of Takeshii's aversion to medical treatment. Not that he was afraid of needles or anything, but that through his training his body had been beaten down so long that normal medical treatments took more to do the same for him, as someone else. She would be aware of Takeshii's health problem as well, with his greater perception also came chronic migranes. A side effect of his clan's bloodline. Besides that, they'd be aware of eachother's jutsu but nothing else, and absolutely nothing about eachother's clans besides what had been discussed as a group the night before with Kenji. (This has been agreed upon by Ren and I via AIM)

Takeshii took all of this into account as he made his way into the beaten down old building, as he openned the creaky door he expected the inside to be in a similar state of disarray and was pleasantly surprised to see a colorful interior. Blues and grays awashed the interior of the dojo, and it looked quite impressive, in size and design.

Kenji and Ren had already arrived, and it seemed as though Takeshii's timing would need to be worked on. It seemed by Kenji's fully armed personage, that either they had a big mission, OR that they'd be fighting their sensei. Takeshii, presumed the latter as he walked further in, taking mental notes of the environment.

"Hi, Kenji sensei, what kind of mission do we have today?" Ren asked.

Takeshii listened intently, but mentally was already strategizing.

'About 50 meters wide it seems, 30 meters high. Benches scattered about but other than that no cover.' He prayed mentally, and awaited his sensei's answer.

Ren arrived first. It was an interesting turn of events, the last week or so. Kenji welcomed a challenge, and his newest challenge was to transform Ren and Takeshii into two of the strongest shinobi Kumogakure has ever seen. Before they would get a chance to prove themselves in an actual mission, they would first have to prove themselves against Kenji. Similar to his first meeting with Ren, Kenji would not be fighting any where near full strength nor would they be asked to ACTUALLY defeat him.

Takeshii arrived almost immediately after Ren, at that time Ren had posed a question, expressing her curiosity as to why they were in the glorious dojo. “There will be no mission… only a test.” Kenji walked towards his two students, every step being heard clearly due to the creaky floors. The gray hardwood glistened as the stray light beams traveled through the entrance and windows. Kenji used his reflective gloves to capture the light and direct it to the ceiling, Kenji then held out his glove, looking into it giving the impression that he was looking at himself, but in actuality he was using it as a trigger, and if his two students looked at the glove Kenji had stretched in front of his face they would be caught in his Genjutsu. “I want to see how you two fight as individuals, but more importantly, I want to see how you two fight as a team. Almost every task that will be entrusted to us will rely on you two’s ability to coordinate thorough and effective combination strikes. I take it you two took advantage of our meeting yesterday to get to know each other better.”

If Kenji’s Genjutsu was a success he would begin walking towards them slowly, or at least they would see him walking towards them. In reality he was walking to his right, out of the line of potential attack, he would use his Genjutsu to hide away as far away from combat as possible. “All you two have to do is land a single strike, seeing as I’m outnumbered, it shouldn’t be a difficult task. If you two accomplish this, I will be pleased and notify the Kage right away that Squad Kokatsu shiri is ready.” Kenji’s false image stood about 10 meters from his two students. Any attack launched onto the false image of Kenji, he would make the reflection vanish and then reappear somewhere else right before an attack could land. If they charged and attempted a close range strike, Kenji would let them get within striking range of the false image, and then re cast the reflection somewhere else before the strike landed (The reflection will be casted in the students’ field of vision, so they will always be aware of the reflections new position). Kenji was very interested in their first move, they wouldn’t be aware of the Genjutsu most likely, since all they currently saw (assuming they looked at the glove) was Kenji standing still, nothing suspicious. However, Ren did have some background information on Kenji’s tactics… what would she do with it, would she fall for the same trick twice, or would she take a different approach? Also, Kenji had little details regarding Takeshii, so he was also intrigued to see what he was capable of. “This should be interesting.”

Ren’s eyes immediately narrowed as she listened to the task her sensei presented the pair with.  Her eyes followed the beams of light that reflected off Kenji’s gloves, and her body grew tense as she readied herself for the test presented to Takeshii and her.

Immediately after Kenji stopped talking and waited for the two of them Ren backed quickly to her squad mate, still standing in a ready position.  “Takeshii,” she got his attention even her voice was a hushed whisper that only the two of them could hear.  “The only time I met Kenji sensei before this he was helping me with some training, and when we started to spar her used some sort of instant jutsu that replaced his body with a clone.  There’s a good chance he could be using that jutsu now, and the Kenji we are looking at is not actually Kenji.”

Takeshii figured this would be a test. As his eyes met the reflection, a natural reaction of a student to attempt to keep their eyes on their sensei's face, his perception was challenged. Though at this point in time he was unaware that he was caught in a genjutsu. To him, his sensei was simply waiting for them to attack.

"Takeshii!" Ren spoke, and came close enough to whisper quietly.

“The only time I met Kenji sensei before this he was helping me with some training, and when we started to spar her used some sort of instant jutsu that replaced his body with a clone.  There’s a good chance he could be using that jutsu now, and the Kenji we are looking at is not actually Kenji.”

"Hm... he said yesterday that his specialty was Genjutsu, to do that with actual clones, you'd need to specialize in Ninjutsu. I can't be for certain yet, but there's a chance that his clones aren't 'clones' at all. If I'm right, than he should be exactly where he was before his first clone appeared. Let's attack as if we think this is the real Kenji. If I'm right than I'll signal you, at that point we can feint an attack to his clone, while aiming our true attack at where the real kenji should be. If we time this action correctly, than it should take him by surprise." Takeshii spoke in a whisper barely audible, but able to be understood by Ren.

He also had remembered that Kenji trained with Blue Lions and had gained the rank of Sage. If his logic was sound that meant he gained some abilities from the lions. Lions being cats had superb senses of hearing and sight, if he had any of these abilities, he would have heard what Ren had told him. But Takeshii spoke low enough where even if he had those senses he should barely be able to only register Takeshii's voice.

"Whenever you're ready."

As Kenji's reflection walked slowly towards his two students, the real Kenji was moving quietly to his right. Kenji saw a welcoming sight, they were preparing some type of strategy, "They have the right idea." Kenji spoke internally as he waited quietly for his students to put their plan in action. Kenji was positive that Ren was informing Takeshii of the possibility that the Kenji they looked at wasn't real, and since he had divulged his specialty, they would most likely guess that the means of his jutsu was Genjutsu. So what would they do? Would they give up at facing the hopelessness of facing an opponent who's position they couldn't verify, and being under the constant stress of knowing that Kenji could attack at any time from the shadows. OR, would they fight. Using teamwork and strategy were the only ingredients that would produce a desirable result.

Kenji was about 5-7 meters diagonally to the right of his reflection. Kenji had the unique ability to alter the rate of which his reflection moved, so to them, his reflection moved slowly and not far, but Kenji moved quietly and quickly. "Everything is ready." Kenji lurked in plain sight. The blue haired shinobi waited for them to test the solidity of the reflection as they most likely wouldn't be able to prove that it wasn't real unless they attempted to strike it. He was already glad that they didn't charge, it was important to be tactful, but the time for waiting and strategy was nearing its end. Kenji waited for their first move. There was one and only one true flaw to his Genjutsu, like many jutsus, it has at least one weakness, and Kenji was trying very hard to eliminate it, but in due time it would surface, it was inevitable. The thing was, when that time came, would they being able to capitalize or would they engineer an ingenious or strikingly simple solution to dealing with Kenji's tactics.

"Whenever you're ready."

Takeshii's voice was so low Ren could barely make it out, but she already knew what he was going to say.

"Alright, go!" her voice was still low but it carried strength that willed her to lunge forward.  Her eyes stayed sharp for any sign of movement or any irregularity as she covered the ground between her and Kenji.  She controlled her breath as she ran, trying to keep her ears sharp for any sounds the real Kenji would make, if indeed this one was a fake.

After a second she had covered the gap between them and she lunged directly at her sensei's form, her fist moving for a quick jab in the ribs.

"Alright go!" Ren said with strong authority as she lunged at the Sensei.

Takeshii followed not far behind, but his senses trained on the yet to be determined illusion. Once the copy vanished Takeshii would certainly notice that this was not a true shadow clone, being that it could not effect the environment, and made no noises in an environment where stealth was pretty much out of the question. This fact would tell Takeshii that it was in fact a Genjutsu. A Genjutsu of this nature would be far out of Ren and Takeshii's power to dispel so the next available option would be to use their strategy.

Takeshii would leap over Ren shortly after the copy vanished and reappeared else where, as he did this he'd place a hand on Ren's shoulder. This was his signal. Vaulting over Ren he'd make the Rat, Dog, and than Monkey seal before openning his clasped hands revealing a disk of Raiton energy. As he landed he'd throw both hands out in an arcing swing hurling three Raiton energy disks of minor power, traveling at very high speeds, speeds typically associated with Raiton attacks. One disk would go straight infront of Takashii, and the others would go diagonally to the left and right. Hopefully one of these attacks would come close enough to Kenji to force him to move. If he did he'd surely create some sort of noise which would give away his position for Ren's assault. Directly after his assault he'd turn his head from his crouched position to keep an eye on the new Copy, hopefully even if this assault was unsuccessful he'd atleast get new information to use for the next assault.

He'd duck low to give Ren a clear shot, should she be given an openning to take it.

The two students initiated their combo attack. Ren dashed for Kenji. Ren attempted a jab to the reflection's midsection, that's when he would have the reflection vanish and appear about 7 meters to the right of Ren and Takeshii. Now there was an approximate distance of 15 meters between Kenji and his reflection. Kenji didn't move a muscel, he simply casted his reflection elsewhere, and it was standing still just as he was. After Kenji's reflection was repositioned, Takeshii unleashed three disks made of raiton chakra after leaping over his squad mate. One disk was aimed for Kenji's reflection and the others were aimed wide looking to snuff out the real Kenji. He smiled at the clever tactic. Unfortunately, at this point the distance between Kenji and his reflection was considerable (~15 meters) so the disks that went wide found nothing but wood and air. The jutsu was impressive though as it was able to pentetrate the walls slightly.

It was now obvious that Kenji was using a Genjutsu. However, since Kenji was content on not moving and simply casting his reflection in various areas, an ambush attack was bound to open up as the two shinobi's perception of his location dulled. This was a tactic Kenji developed to lessen the glaring flaw of his Genjutsu, as simply casting his reflection all over the field was sometimes just as effective as having his reflection move. Kenji drew two kunai, and they would see the reflection do the same. Kenji was using this as a scare tactic. The real Kenji could be anywhere, and now they would be aware that Kenji had drew a weapon, so at any point they could be attacked by an unseen opponent. Kenji still hadn't moved, and he was interested in what Ren and Takeshii would do next. "They're doing well so far, let's see what they do next." Kenji didn't plan on using his Genjutsu much longer, he just wanted to get an idea of how they approached less than ideal situations, so far they were doing alright, but he needed to see more.

Ren frowned as the form of Kenji dissipated before her fist even had a chance to connect with it. There was no doubt this had to be some sort of Genjutsu as Takeshii had deducted. Her eyes snapped to the location of the disks that her squad mate had launched, but all she saw was holes in the wall where they had traveled.

Her frown turned into a scowl as she quickly searched for any sign of Kenji. As she found the new figure she took a second to calm her mind and consider the situation.

"Takeshii, there's no way this one is real," she knew he must have already come to the same conclusion, but they needed to figure out an approach to deal with this jutsu.

"How should we find him? We can't just throw those disks around until he turns up."

"Takeshii, there's no way this one is real," she said.

"How should we find him? We can't just throw those disks around until he turns up." She said.

Takeshii went back to back with Ren, so that they had all corners covered. At this point, Ren's body should be facing the fake Kenji, while Takeshii would be facing the opposite direction.

"We don't, if we actively look for him, we'll loose our barings and burn ourselves out. This will only make us easier targets for him. We wait for him to come to us. This way we conserve our energy for the real threat. However this poses a problem. He knows where we are, but we don't know where he is. So I propose that you follow my lead. If this works, and he attacks we'll have a higher chance of catching him off guard. Also because he's physical we'll notice him before he spots the trap... I pray." Takeshii whispered to his ally over his shoulder keeping his eyes on his environment.

He'd than inhale deeply and charge his breath with Fuuton chakra. Starting from his right, he'd exhale a thin stream of powerful air at the dusty old ground. The air would kick up the dust and create a smoke screen that would mask their presence, as if they were in a smoke bomb, but to a lesser degree. Directly afterwards he would create the ram seal and produce 2 bunshin, one facing west and the other east, so that they all created a square. One of the bunshin would be henged to look like Ren. Because of the smoke screen it would be difficult to recognize which one was the real Takeshii until they were dispelled. This is because while within the smoke screen none of them had a percievable shadow, and physical forms didn't effect smoke clouds signifantly enough, unless moving.

If Ren repeated the same action it would create a larger smoke cloud, and more options for Kenji to attack. If he did attack with say a ranged attack, the real weapon would disturb the cloud and help give away his position. If he attacked with a close range weapon, he himself would give away his position, both by moving and disturbing the cloud of dust.

However, at this point it was only a 50/50 chance they would be safe. But a 50/50 chance of being safe is waaaaay better than a 100% chance of death.

The following events revealed Takeshii's and Ren's next plan. Takeshii showcased his fuuton ability creating a gust of wind kicking up dirt to create a cloud of dust. Kenji rubbed his chin contemplating his motive. "I can limit the sound, but if I attempt to attack while they're in that cloud, my position will be made obvious regardless if I don't make any sound." A wide smile came onto Kenji's face as a few additional figures appeared in the cloud. This would make it difficult to lauch a surprise attack, as Kenji wouldn't know who the real one was. Kenji was impressed, they had came to the realization that attacking wouldn't work...

Kenji cancelled his Genjutsu, and drew his Hane from his back. "Well done, not many can escape my 'Ultimate Deception' so skillfully." Kenji bowed slightly. He extended his Hane, the point facing his two students who would have probably turned around at this point to face him after he spoke. Kenji began run around them, essentially circling the two shinobi, he ran around them at blistering speeds (SS rank speed). The wind created by the sheer speed of Kenji's movements blew the measly cloud of dust away. Only two of the figures had their hair blown back by the wind, signaling him to who was the real ones. Ren and Takeshii would be lucky to keep track of Kenji moving at this speed around them. As soon as Kenji moved into their blind spot he released two kunai, one aimed at the heel of Takeshii and one for the shoulder of Ren. Ren and Takeshii would also most likely be aware that he was able to discern the clones. After Kenji threw the kunai, regardless if they hit, he would halt and prepare for a response.

"Well done, not many can escape my 'Ultimate Deception' so skillfully."For an instant Ren felt success and pride welling up inside of her.  She had known she possessed the skills to be a successful shinobi, and praise always reinforced that feeling.  Still the success was short lived as Kenji launched into a rapid movement.

As Ren’s eyes failed to track the impressive speed of the blue haired jonin all the young girl could do was wait and keep her senses open for the opportunity to make an action.  In an instant Ren heard Kenji’s movement halt, and the sound of weapons whizzing through the air in her direction.  Knowing there was no hope to dodge Ren did the only thing she could do.  Blinking her eyes her left eye transformed into a silver copy of the distinct demonic symbol of her clan, and she winced as something sharp struck her shoulder.

The blade barely cut into her shoulder leaving a shallow red line on her back before falling to the ground, and the stinging only heightened her senses.

“Takeshii, are you alright?” she glanced quickly at her companion, showing the young man his first glimpse of her transformed left eye.

"Well done, not many can escape my 'Ultimate Deception' so skillfully." Kenji spoke, and Takeshii gave a slight smile at the compliment. Though he was only doing what came naturally. As did Kenji, when he started in on his high speed attack.

Takeshii had an idea of what was coming, such high speeds at such close distance... if he wanted to do a close distance attack he would have simply beelined through the mist and dispersed it in one movement and than changed direction to attack at close quarters. Even Takeshii with his perceptive abilities would've NEVER seen such an attack coming, and if he did he didn't have the ability to evade such an assault. So eliminating a close distance assault meant he was using his speed to flank them from all sides at once. A clever tactic, but with Ren and Takeshii facing away from each other, that left their sides the only 'open' target. And so, Takeshii crouched down anticipating an assault from either side. When the assault came, Takeshii was ready and turned his body so that the Kunai stuck into the thick rubber soles of his shoes, cutting the bottom of his foot but leaving him completely mobile.

Likewise, Ren was able to use some skill to deflect the kunai aimed at her off of her shoulder blade. She turned her head to check on Takeshii and Takeshii got his first look at her Demon Eye. It was peculiar to say the least, interesting and fascinating to say the most.

“Takeshii, are you alright?” She asked.

"Yeah, I'm ok. Are you?" Takeshii said removing the Kunai from his foot and holding it in his hand.

Directly after the assault his assault, their teacher halted, no doubt waiting for a response. However Takeshii was well aware that any direct assault was a suicide mission. His eyes took in every detail, every bench, every crevice. A direct assault was useless, if Takeshii went for an assault he'd leave Ren vulnerable and vice versa. A risk he was unwilling to take. If they waited for their teacher to attack, certainly he wouldn't do the same tactic twice, and Takeshii's smoke screen diversion tactic wouldn't work again, in fact it would only provide the same result or worse. All they had was this lousy Kunai. But if Takeshii tossed it carelessly they'd be out of luck. Takeshii took his time to think carefully, and decided that a simple attack or defend tactic would be best.

"Hm... We can attack together as a group, but we have to be careful to conserve our movements. If we attack we need to try to set up each others assaults. Defending will buy us time, but not much. I'll try to draw his attack to me, so that you can finish him off." He whispered to his comrade. Than he'd rip his sleeve off and twist it into a makeshift rope, and tie it to the end of the kunai, holding both ends.

Now to see what his teacher does.

Kenji came to a stop after he launched his projectiles. Both kunai were met with an unwelcomed obstacle. The one for Ren might as well have been a twig, “She’s just full of surprises isn’t she?” The one that headed for Takeshii’s heel met the rubber of his shoe instead. He removed the kunai from his shoe and wielded it. Kenji could see the hopelessness in their eyes, but it was equally clear that they hadn’t given up and were indeed still thinking. The blue haired sennin watched his students with pride… “What an impressive first showing; they will both be formidable shinobi no doubt.”

“I must praise the two of you once more. However, despite your zeal and tact, if you two cannot land a single strike then it will be all for naught.” Kenji squinted his eyes as he mentally prepared his next phase, “Well… maybe if I hit you two, it’ll show you how it’s done…” Kenji smiled as tightened his grip on his rusty katana. “It may be too much, me wielding a weapon, but it is two against one…” As the sensei, he wouldn’t make it easy on the two, he would insist that the pupils make the first move. “It’s always more difficult to initiate than to respond.”

BOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!

A thundering explosion set the front entrance ablaze. Kenji turned to face the fiasco, his students behind him. With relaxed posture, Kenji casually strutted closer to the entrance that was now veiled in smoke. “Would you mind explaining what this is about?” Kenji exclaimed, directing his inquisition in the direction of the blast. From the smoke emerged 5 whizzing shuriken, all heading for Kenji; Kenji began spinning expelling fuuton chakra as he spun. The cocoon deflected the shuriken away emphatically. The smoke had finally cleared, revealing three bandits dress in all black, with masks covering their face. They appeared to be a bit younger than Kenji.

Kenji glanced back at his students, “I’m a bit tired, would you two be so kind? If you defeat these bandits, you will have passed, I think hitting me may have been too hefty a challenge. However, getting rid of these punks will suffice.” Kenji grabbed a granola bar from his pocked and took a single bite, afterwards he leaped behind his students, leaving to the bandits.

Ren's eyes grew wide as Kenji's speech was suddenly interrupted by the explosion in the front entrance to the building. For a second all Ren could do was watch as the shuriken flew at the blue haired sage, but in a single action he deflected the attack and jumped to safety.

“I’m a bit tired, would you two be so kind? If you defeat these bandits, you will have passed, I think hitting me may have been too hefty a challenge. However, getting rid of these punks will suffice.”

Nodding her acknowledgement Ren's brow furrowed with determination. Then without a glance back to Takeshii, she said something to him that wouldn't be heard by the assailants.

"I'll draw their attention, try to find an opening."

In a flash the girl crouched and gabbed the kunai that had struck her in the shoulder and leaped toward the bandits. As she closed in on them a new cluster of six shuriken flew at her. Twisting and raising her kunai, Ren dodged two, deflected one, and let the others strike her forearms. She winced slightly, but the weapons only left shallow cuts and fell to the ground thanks to her harder than average skin.

None of the bandits seemed phased by her display of toughness as she approached them, and as Ren approached them she lunged at the closest one, lashing out with her kunai. She had enough faith in her new squad mate to know he wouldn't let her fight these bandits alone, and hopefully this move would help him get into a good attacking position.

Takeshii flanked the opposite side of Ren, two of the bandits faced off with Ren throwing a few shuriken each, the last squared off with Takeshii and leaped at him Tanto first with Chuunin Speed. However, Takeshii's visual acquity allowed him to see the attack coming, and his reflexes allowed him to do something about it. Grabbing one side of his shirt with his left hand and the kunai tied to the other side with his right, he'd dodge out of the way, and using the shirt sleeve as an improvised unorthodox weapon he would throw it over the bandit's neck and flip him end over end using his attack against him, so that as he fell his throat would land on the Kunai. All the while keeping hold of the Tanto weilding arm tightly so that on impact the force of him falling would cause his elbow to dislocate. The man's strength would create momentum, aiding Takeshii's movements. And being focused on attack would mean little time to counter. For good measure he'd break the bandits neck as well, all in one fluid movement.

With one bandit down, Takeshii patted the man down and took two kunai and one explosive tag wrapping the explosive tag around one of the kunai (now referred to as the Kunai B, the one without the explosive tag shall hereby be reffered to as Kunai A.) He'd throw Kunai A just to the left of the bandit on the left, which would hopefully cause him to leap towards the second bandit. At the same time he'd throw Kunai B between the two bandits so that as the first bandit leapt towards the second both would be caught in the blast.

Hopefully this tactic would kill them. But at the very least it would injure both, disrupt their senses, separate them, and make them easier targets. Takeshii watched to see how his Feign Kunai Explosion Tactic worked out. On a side note, Takeshii would also begin to feel a slight pressure behind his eyes. Nothing too serious yet, hopefully he could finish this fight before it got worse.

Ren barely had time to acknowledge that Takeshii had taken down one of the attackers, her combatant was occupying most of her attention.  When she had leapt at the obscured man he had blocker her kunai with his tanto, and then the two shared a few quick exchanges of strikes and blocks.  The blue haired girl knew she had to change tactics as her movements were barely able to keep up with the assailants.

In an instant Ren found the opening she was looking for as a kunai flew at her attacker, while he didn’t leap away toward the other bandit he was forced to sidestep the attack leaving Ren a small opening.  As her peripheral vision picked up the flash of another explosion Ren lunged at the bandit.  Dropping the kunai she held, Ren then used her open palm to stop the frantic counter attack the bandit tried to launch at her.  She felt the sting in her hand as the blade cut slightly into her flesh, but she knew her skin was too tough for any deep wounds from the small weapon.

Ren then closed her hand trapping the weapon, and her left hand grabbed the hand holding the tanto.  Blinking once quickly, the demonic symbol on her left eye changed to a soft shade of green, and immediately the bandit cried out in pain.  Where she had grasped his arm was covered in dozens of cuts, and as she let go of him the tanto clattered to the ground.  Immediately after the bandit reached with his good hand to grasp the wounded arm.

The horned girl didn’t give the bandit that chance as she punched him repeatedly, each strike leaving similar cuts on part of his body she struck.  Her last blow struck the wounded man win his solar plexus and the bandit doubled over and fell to Ren’s feet.  Then in sharp motion Ren kicked the man in his stomach, ensuring he wouldn’t be returning to the fight anytime soon.

Smiling with satisfaction Ren looked up quickly to see how Takeshii was handling the last bandit.

The explosion threw the last bandit close to a bench. Takeshii dashed forward holding his improvised weapon. As the bandit rose Takeshii let out a short yell which got the bandit's attention. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Ren punching the crap out of her bandit, so he knew that that bandit would likely survive. Takeshii figured that an interrogation would work best if there were two.

As the stunned bandit staggered to his feet, the bandit leapt forward with a spinning hook kick, Takeshii kept the shirt sleeve taunt, and as the kick landed on the sleeve he'd wrap the leg stepping close to the bandit and slamming him into the ground using his own power against him. He'd than stomp down repeatedly onto the back of the bandit's head until he was rendered unconcious. Afterwards he would twist the bandit's ankle until he heard a pop.

"Tie him up so he can't escape." Takeshii said towards Ren. He'd than tie his opponent's arms together and sit him on the nearbye bench, and pat him down taking all weapons off of his body. He'd slap an explosive tag on top of his head, and take the rest with him. Hopefully Ren would follow suit.

The young blue haired girl rolled the bandit at her feet onto his back, and quickly patted him down. She pulled the weapons he had off him while he groaned, and placed them in a pile out of his reach. When she felt confident he was no longer armed, Ren rolled him onto his stomach and tied his hands behind his back.

"What now Kenji-sensei?" her eyes searched for the blue haired sanin as she awaited further instructions.

OCC: Sorry busy weekend, the next one I'll be gone too, I'll post weekdays though

With both bandits tied up and disarmed, Takeshii waited for his orders as well. Today was becoming more interesting by the moment, first a sparring match against their sensei. Now they're attacked by bandits. The attack itself was peculiar, as Takeshii had noticed when it happened. The tactic they had used, blowing the door off its henges. You only do that when you know someone's inside, but from looking at the outside of the building, there's no reason to believe anyone would be in there unless you saw them enter. On top of that, this wasn't an excavation team, they came heavily armed and well prepared. What this told Takeshii was that they were after either the whole team, or Kenji specifically. Logically one's mind would start to wonder, why?

Takeshii wagered that they were after Kenji, and weren't prepared to find a whole team. And that they over-estimated Takeshii and Ren, which led them to be overly careful, and to their defeat which Takeshii admitted was far easier than it should have been. Though they'd soon have the real answer.

Kenji left his position against the wall where he watched attentively as his students flawlessly defeated the intruders. "I do not think I could have done better myself" Kenji said with a slight grin as he walked gradually towards his students who currently towered over the criminals who were tied up on the ground. "It seems you two have learned much from the academy and independent training. Consider yourselves members of Squad Kokatsu Shiri." Kenji had both his blades sheathed on his back, as he drew closer to the bandits he drew a single kunai and cut their bondages giving them their mobility back. The bandit took off their masks and revealed their faces. One of them began screaming, "GOD DAMNIT KENJI, YOU SAID WE WOULD BE FIGHTING TWO SNOTTY NOSE BRATS. YOU SENT US UP AGAINST A COUPLE OF THUGS YOU ASSHOLE!" The blue haired sennin tried to stifle his laughter but a few chuckles still managed to escape his lips. The other two bandits were also snarling at Kenji, "listen, I didn't know. They were just assigned, but you have to admit, they're pretty good. And plus, it's not all my fault, you should never underestimate an opponent regardless of the circumstance, unless you're me and then you can have that luxury... but you're not."

The bandits got their stuff together and stomped out of the abandoned dojo. It was now just the sensei and his students. A moment went by where the room was filled with silence, Kenji just stared at the two of them. "Ren, your passion and spirit, I've never seen anything like it. And Takeshii your anayltical ability is an invaluable asset. You two are very special and I am glad that you are on my team. This team is special in many ways. Believe it or not, the Raikage had her reasons for making this a three person squad, every single one of us have exceptional talent that sets us apart. You have already seen a glimpse of mine, and I'm sure your abilities will surface and soon." Kenji's smile faded. "Unfortunately there is rarely time for celebration and things like that for a shinobi, like I've stated already, there has been a major influx in the demand for Kumogakure shinobi. We will be embarking on our first official mission as a squad in two days, we will meet at the village gate, 8 am sharp. This will be a dangerous mission, so come prepared." Kenji would wait and observe their responses and take any questions that they might have.
