Ren’s eyes were wide as she stepped into the sky bar for the first time.  She had heard stories about its balconies and the great glass dance floor but it was the first time she had worked up the courage to come to bar.  It wasn’t the heights that got to her, no it was the people giving her just enough distance to make her feel like she had the plague.

Tonight though Ren was sick of training, tonight she she wanted to have some fun, maybe try a drink, maybe meet someone, and maybe try to dance a little…

But first the horned girl made her way to the broad open balconies and looked out over the village with a broad smile on her face as the wind caused her blue hair to swirl around her neck.  She had a feeling tonight was going to be a good night.


OOC: Originally for me and Baki, but anyone else who wants to show up is welcome.

Baki walked into the bar and took a seat. The music was at the perfect volume and the place was flooded with activity. "Hey old man, mind getting me a drink?" Baki asked the bartender, not out of being rude but more because he was a frequent. He leaned in closer too the guy. " So whats the word, see anything interesting?" He asked. The man said nothing but pointed to a blue haired girl up on the balcony. From the looks of her the mystery girl had what seemed to be horns on her head. Baki smirked as he finished his drink, then setting the glass down he walked up the stairs intent on meeting her.

As he made his way closer he could see she was clad in blue and seemed to have a serene look about her. He smoothly walked up next to her, the same confident smile on his face.

"Whats a girl like you doing up here alone?" He said staring out into the distance.

Ren’s head snapped to the side to the see the owner of the voice.  He was taller than her and she could just make out his sandy blonde hair underneath the black cloak he wore. She knew knew typically people were more open in bars or when they had a lot to drink, but she still couldn’t quite believe that someone had approached her so fast.  

“Well, I just thought I’d come and take a break from my training,” she smiled to the hooded man next to her while a little color rose in her cheeks.   “And normally people don’t really ask me to come out because of…” she cut herself off while feeling the warmth in her cheeks raise a little more.

“So do you come here often?” she asked trying to take attention off of her misstep.

Baki listened as the girl explained her situation. He nodded at her knowing that what she said was true. "So you're a shinobi too huh." It was more of a statement then a question. He took a deep breath and looked back down at the crowd. "Because they are afraid." Baki paused and thought before continuing. "I however don't see why." Baki leaned in closer. "Anyways, This has been my favorite spot to drink for a while. The food is good as are the drinks, Its one of the few places I can be me outside of the battlefield."

"I can see why," Ren smiled into the night night sky, purposefully ignoring his comments about peoples feelings toward her. "The view is really amazing up here." Turning to face the mystery man she grinned, as strands of her blue hair swirled around her face "so if the food and drinks here are so good is there something you'd recommend?  This is my first time here, and I'm not really sure what I want."  Her voice was light and airy, but she was having a difficult time containing her excitement.

"Well they have a huge menu, sea food, steak, ramen, you name it. Hey by the way, what squad are you in?" Baki asked. It never hurt to ask, sure he could be relentless in a a fight but that did not mean he did not have some common curtsey. Baki shuffled his feet for a minute. For some reason the blue haired girl made him feel a little better then normal, although he shrugged it of as best he could. When she turned and grinned at him, to his surprise his own cheeks started to redden a little bit. Truth be told he was just as excited as she was, the only difference being he could hide it better or so he thought. "What kind of food you like?" He asked as he smiled. This time his smile was genuine, not just some cocky smirk like normal.

"Seafood..." Ren trailed off abruptly and looked over to an seat at the bar.  "Come on," she grabbed the stranger's arm while grinning.  Dragging him to the bar she sat down the blue haired girl sat down at at a pair of empty seats.  "Don't worry, it's my treat," her grin was wide as she tried to peer over the bar and into the kitchen to see what kind of fish or sea creature she'd get to try today.

"Ohh, what should I get today?!" for a minute she completely ignored the man next to her as she mulled over her options.

"Can I get you anything," a bartender approached the two.

"Yeah!" Ren's voice was enthusiastic as she glanced toward the older man, "I'm not really sure what I want, can you just ask the chef to surprise me with the best seafood he has in house?  And then get my new friend whatever he wants."

Ren grinned as she turned to the blonde man to see what he would order.

Kotaro wanders into the exciting atmosphere of the Sky Bar. Open eyed, he scans the room in awe. People being served drinks, laughing, men unsuccessfully hitting on women, dancing on the lustrous glass floor. The teen could only wonder what to do.
He waits by the entrance as if expecting a guide to escort him around, and brief him on each of the possible activities. Realizing how foolish he looked, he places himself onto a bar stool at the bar. Noticing his pockets are housing nothing, but a couple units of pocket lent he spins the revolving seat and faces the alluring dance floor.
"You can do this... You can do this." Kotaro begins to muster up courage to head to the dance floor and maybe ask a girl to accompany him. He turns to his sides and notices everyone engaged in conversation with a partner or friend.
"...Ahg I shoulda brought a buddy yo." He squeezes out in a mumbled and defeated tone to himself. He then turns his chair back to the counter of the bar and places both arms folded on the counter. Burying his faces into his arms as if he was sleeping in class, he tries again to build up a tiny bit of courage, at least enough to make him head to the dance floor on impulse.

Baki let out a small sigh as the blue hair drug him along, True he had offered her some food , however he had not expected her to drag him like this. He stumbled a little as he made it to the bar stool, but he quickly regained his balance. He again was caught off guard by her offering to pay for his food. He watched as she ordered her food and led him to do the same. "Well I um I ... um Ill take steak please." He was at a loss for words as the girl had turned his world upside down.

Just as he was about to dig in he noticed a nervous guy sitting down at the bar. The poor guy seemed to be struggling to gain the courage to stand. He just turned to the Girl and ignored him. "Hey my name is Baki, What is yours?" He asked the girl. The shy guy was still sitting there and for a moment Baki felt he should say something but her just thought maybe the girl would first.

Aneki's form moved swiftly through the village. He had escaped once more and wasn't going to go back to confinement until he'd had some fun. For ANBU of the cloud, they didn't know how to pay attention well. Though Aneki knew that if he were too sure of himself, he could get caught easily. He dipped between alleyways, dodging a few people and moving between large buildings, trying a bit to stay out of sight, for the most part. He was doing well and he had one destination: the Sky Bar. He hadn't had a drink in so long and he could go for a good ol' Konohagakure Fire-Brand whiskey. Sake made his taste buds feel strange, otherwise he'd go with a Kirigakure Sake, in any case he was nearing his destination and could feel his skin tingling in excitement. His white hair was parted and spiked as usual, his bangs falling over his left eye, covering it in the silver locks. It was a look he was adapting to, as it helped conceal his face a bit more.

He arrived at the bar, waving at the bouncer. The man nodded as he entered, the cloud's resident rogue ninja looking around in excitement. His sash was covering his mouth and he moved his form to sit down at a table, looking around. There were so many people here, music was bumping and there were a few girls dancing. Some guys, not that many though. Figured. When it came to dancing most men in the village had 'two left feet' so to speak. In any case, the shinobi was in his normal garb, the cloak partition over his left arm adjusted a bit to flow loosely. He wore his katana on his back, should he come to any trouble and the bandages were wrapped around his left hand, concealing the cosmetic tattoo of his clan's symbol upon the palm.

It wasn't long before he noticed the blue-haired beauty with horns at the bar and he smiled underneath his mouth concealant. There was a male with her but that wouldn't be a problem. He moved his form onto the stool on her other side, nodding to the bartender. The staff here knew him well as he drank here often when he was still a member of 'normal' society. He was in a great mood tonight and wanted to have fun. He put two fingers up, then knocked on the bar. The bartender, upon hearing the knocking and seeing the gesture brought two shots of Konoha Fire-Brand whiskey and set them down in front of the man. Yeah, he was well known. He nodded to the girl and her companion, pulling his sash down to take a shot quickly, putting the sash up once more. "Ahhh..Fire-Brand.."

OOC: Ok I'm back sorry for the delay

"Hi Baki, I'm Ren." she smiled at the blonde man next to her.  For an instant her eyes wandered to the depressed looking man past Baki, and she wondered if he was waiting to meet someone, or if she should say something to him.  But the thought was interrupted as she heard another new voice behind her, "Ahhh..Fire-Brand..".

"Fire-brand?" Ren stuck out her tongue making her distaste for the liquor obvious.  She had never tasted the stuff but it had been her father's drink of choice and the smell of it had always made her gag.

"I can't believe you drink that stuff!" Ren swiveled to face the white haired man behind her.  She quickly noted the sash that covered his face and the bandages covering his left hand.  Then she looked back over her shoulder and jokingly questioned Baki, "You don't drink fire-brand, do you Baki?"

Not able to build the nerve to dance he spins his chair and withdraws a sketchpad from a utility pouch.
"Maybe I can't go out there and dance, but at least this place has some nice scenery." Having reassured his right to be at the Sky Bar, he happily begins to draw the lively life of the establishment. The vivid lights, the bubbling drinks, the steaming aroma of food, the laughter of customers, and the booming music. Eventually he found himself involuntarily bobbing his head to the catchy beat."Dom-dom-dom-be-do-de-da-da." He scats, as if chanting an ancient language. With a large smile, squinted eyes, and his face painted with color, by the barrage of flashing lights, he had felt amazing, in only a couple moments.

"You don't drink fire-brand, do you Baki?" Baki paused for a second, "Oh you mean that weak stuff? Na I prefer a more eloquent beverage." 'Hmm so her name is Ren, that's good to know.' Baki thought to himself. While he was lost in thought they shy guy that had walked in was drawing a picture. To him it seemed weird to go into a club and draw, but hey to each his own. " So what do you like to do?" He asked the girl named Ren.

OOC: Fire-Brand weak my ass. Bahaha..

Aneki silent pulled his sash down once more, taking the other shot. He thought for a moment, laughing at the other shinobi's comment about fire-brand being 'weak.' "Eloquent ah? The most you've probably drank is milk." He chuckled silently, his hand moving to motion at the bartender again. The bartender came back over with a large bottle of Kirigakure Sake. He nodded to Aneki, switching out his two shotglasses for a few sake glasses, moving back to his other customers. The male silently poured himself a glass of the mist-colored liquid. It had a sweet smell, with a hint of a mist-based bouquet. It was the pride of the Kirigakure, and was a drink among drinks. This sake had a particularly sweet taste, with a bit of bite on the after-taste. It was quite the strong drink for a sake, but was considered a delicacy as it was usually rare, and quite expensive.

He swirled it in his glass a bit, giving it a quick whiff, smiling. He silently drank on the sake, downing it quickly. He turned to the male drawing at the other table thinking silently. He smiled, pouring another glass, handing it to one of the barstaff, pointing to the man. The staff nodded, walking over and handing him the drink with Aneki's regards. Why should he be the only having fun? He then quietly poured himself one more glass, taking smaller sips this time to enjoy the beautiful taste of his drink. It was quite the sake.

“Me?” Ren laughed a little at Baki and the man next to her arguing. “I’ve never had anything to drink before.  I don’t really think I’d like it, it all smells so awful.”  It was true the smell of liquor always made her feel sick, but there was something smooth about the way the man next to her drank from the sake glass, and there was something sweet about the smell of the sake that he poured into the glasses.

Smiling Ren looked past Baki for a second and tried to figure out why someone would be sketching in such a crowded place.  He seemed like an odd and nervous guy, but Ren knew that first glances didn’t always paint a full picture of a person, after all most people would immediately be put off by her appearance.

“So Baki,” she turned her attention back to the blonde man who sat next to her.  “Are you a genin too?  And are you in a squad?”

He notices the clatter going on behind him a turns his head. After coming to the assumption that alcohol was being served, he broke the combo by ordering a glass of lemonade. The bartender chuckled and went off to get the boys beverage.
Fearing the pain of spilling any substance on his newly started project he neatly compressed the pad, and placed it into his jacket. The bartender arrived with his drink, and after scrounging around in several tiny jacket pockets the teen found enough money to pay for his drink. While sipping his refreshing lemonade he catches wind of the conversation next to him. "You're a Genin too?" The teen obnoxiously ask. Comically bending over the counter, butting in on the conversation, so he could make eye contact with the interesting girl.

“Are you a genin too? And are you in a squad?” He heard her say. While it was true he was assigned to a squad he had not meet them yet. "I am in a squad but I have not meet them yet." He said after he ordered his steak. The place was getting busier and busier, the guy who had been drawing ordered what looked to be a lemonade. Baki himself was enjoying himself being with a good looking girl who was nice but had a air of danger around her. The blush he wore a few minutes ago had long faded. Just as he was about to ask Ren about her squad the boy that had ordered the lemonade interrupted, It was obvious the boy was trying to be obnoxious. Turning his head to the interruption that was leaning on the counter His face turned serious. "Hey pall, whats the big idea? Didn't anyone ever teach you not to butt in on conversations?" Baki said in a near growl. The stair he gave to the boy was cold as arctic ice.


((OOC My job sucks at the moment so I post when I can.))

"That's exciting Baki!" Ren's voice was enthusiastic, "I can't wait until I get assigned to a squad. When are you going to meet them?" Before the blonde shinobi would get a chance to respond the odd kid who sat just past him leaned so that he caught her eyes and then interrupted their conversation obnoxiously. Baki was quick to respond in telling the kid off, but Ren could tell despite the way he had done it, the odd kid was just trying to find someone to talk to at the bar. That feeling of loneliness and looking for someone to talk to was a feeling Ren knew all to well.

"Baki, it's alright," she smiled reassuringly to her new friend. "Yeah I'm a Genin too, she responded to the newcomer. "And my name is Ren, what's yours?"


OOC: I was waiting for Aneki to post, but I guess that's not happening.

He shrinks down at the mans words, and genuinely apologizes. "Sorry, yo." Kotaro knew he had obnoxious tendencies, but he didn't have many friends, that were his age. After seating reeling himself back, and taking his seat again, he here's the peculiar girls question. "Ren?"He mumbles to himself. "I'm Kotaro, nice to meet you. He nervously glances at the blonde male, then back to Ren, and gives a light smile out of common courtesy. "Sorry again... you can have the rest of my lemonade if you want. I didn't drink much." Kotaro gestures to the glass of the sparkling ice cold lemonade. Kotaro really enjoyed it, it didn't taste like normal lemonade, maybe a little sweeter, with some added carbonation.

Baki was about to tell him off more when he heard Ren say :
"Baki, it's alright." When she said that he calmed down some, he was still mad but not as much. Then the new guy said he was sorry and even tried to give him is lemonade, that took him by surprise and the anger left him. "Hey dude its ok, keep your lemonade." He said in a more somber tone. After all he was there to have fun, not fight.
