Ooame was instrumental in Kenji’s introduction to Senjtusu as well as teaching him the basics of what Senjutsu entailed. After that Kenji went on to actually practice and learn the advanced techniques treasured by sages from the Kasfarians. The Kasfarians are a breed of giant blue lions, all possess incredible strength and speed, and most had amazing talent in elemental ninjutsu. Kenji as a Genjutsu specialist, he was severely ridiculed and jeered constantly for his primary specialty. However, his confidence and passion eventually won the hearts of the Kasfarians; his skill in Bukitjutsu and overall tactics saw the most improvement while training at the Kasfarian Compound. Of course his latent skill for Senjutsu showed itself as he partially mastered Senjutsu as he obtained the ultimate jutsu of a sage; sage mode. Many powerful techniques that spawn from knowing the revered art of Senjutsu can only be obtained by first entering and mastering sage mode, which he was able to accomplish. Virtually becoming one with nature has increased Kenji’s awareness in general and his discipline. Still a fervent competitor Kenji had the heart and enthusiasm of a lion, and in battle he utilized his great speed and instincts to pounce on enemies. Despite his arduous training to achieve sage mode, he only entered the state as a last resort.

It had been several months since he left the Kasfarian Compound, and he was finally going to catch up with Ooame; upon Kenji’s return Ooame was out of town. Now that he was back, he was notified that Ooame wanted to speak with Kenji as well as spar with the Third Lion Sage. The talented Special Jounin was excited to actually fight with Ooame, the leader of the Chikara and a sage, the Second Lion Sage. Of course Ooame wasn’t able to fully master sage mode and could only perfectly enter sage mode for a very limited time. However, Ooame was extremely skilled in Genjutsu, Bukitjutsu, and Ninjutsu, he not being an expert in Senjutsu wasn’t a big deal and he would still most likely get the best of Kenji. The teal haired shinobi would of course give Ooame everything he had and force him to at least fight near his full strength, which would be a victory in itself. Kenji learned how to use blunt weapons from Ooame, now wielding the famed and coveted DCLA, a weapon treasured by Chikara. He also increased his skill in weapons in general by training with his father known to be a master of nearly all weapons disciplines, also Kenji had trained under his uncle; revered as the most dangerous Genjutsu user among the Chikara. It was said though, that Ooame surpassed both in their respective fields, which was quite intimidating. This was the main reason Kenji found it so difficult to believe that Ooame “failed” Senjutsu training; a master and near perfect shinobi was defeated by the tact of natural energy.

The sun snuck into the window of Kenji’s bedroom on cat paws, slightly illuminating and warming Kenji’s face. Most of the objects in the room were related to history; a room of knowledge and wisdom yet the prudence Kenji shrouded himself in for so long still seemed to elude him. It was only upon learning Senjutsu from the big blue cats in the Kasfarian Compound that he has finally retrieved a slice of the discipline he surrounded himself in. As more information was divulged to him about his past and his clan, things began to warp into perspective giving Kenji a new and broader vision, one to be cherished and irrevocably dedicated to. Son of Kenjasi, the Third Lion Sage, the Magician, the Ghost, and of course by most just Kenji; was going to embark on yet another milestone in his ninja campaign. All the spars, lessons, and meditation at the Kasfarian Compound truly changed Kenji, but it was now time for him to make a major jump in his development. Not one for complacency, Kenji didn’t and never intended on stopping at mastering sage mode; he would now undergo strenuous training under Ooame; the head of the Chikara. Having the knowledge that Kas’Lam defeated Ooame with little to no ease played no factor in his upcoming stent under the tutelage of Ooame; besides on several occasions Kas’Lam admitted to the fact that he has personally seen very few shinobi as balanced and versatile as Ooame, being a master in Genjutsu, Bukitjutsu, Ninjutsu, and partially mastering Senjutsu. Kas’Lam also divulged that Ooame was too eager to use Senjutsu, not his other skill; that was because he was embarrassed and ashamed that he couldn’t perfect his sage mode, so his pride impeded his effectiveness in the battle greatly. Anyway; in just two days he would begin his training with Ooame. The blue haired Jounin would take the next day to relax and enjoy his leisure.

Slowly reacting to the arrival of nature’s crutch, the battle tested man arose and began his morning routine. His incredible physique that was forged through years of arduous and relentless exercise allowed him to perform incredible feats of agility in combat; however, he was never estranged from fatigue and/or soreness. His advanced kekkai genkai coupled with his rigorous regime underwent at the Kasfarian Den has meagerly circumvented the issue.

Kenji got dressed and sat at the edge of the bed wanting to just explode with fury as he wanted nothing more than to destroy Ooame, his clan’s leader was an enigmatic figure who for most of his life was the cause of his shame and isolation, now he was the source of his development. However, it was indeed a moot point as Kenji would relish defeating anyone; as the most fearsome opponent he would ever face Kenji was chomping to prove himself as the strongest of all the Chikara. Knowing how cerebral and tactical Ooame is; he knew that he would have to take advantage of the training period, where he would have to implement that knowledge to assist him in their inevitable clash.

Foolish to take Ooame at full strength on right away, Kenji for the first time was actually planning to take the instruction seriously. Kenji arrived at Ooame’s office and took a seat. Ooame had on his rare ninja attire and was beaming; a very unusual sight indeed. “It is wonderful to see you Kenji. I rushed back into town so we could start our training.” Kenji had faced many surprises pertaining to Ooame but this one was by far the most shocking, this level of enthusiasm… “This guy really is an enigmatic figure.”

“You have been absolutely fantastic. Enduring your childhood struggle, Conquering Senjutsu with relative ease, Mastering Genjutsu, Becoming extremely skilled in Bukitjutsu; so skilled that Kenjhasi actually passed on fighting-” Kenji held out his hand to interrupt, “He ‘passed’, because he’s my father. A fight between the two of us would be legendary, but he knew it was my time so he simply stepped aside.” Both men bowed slightly, “Well, congratulations on defeating Jasio. I heard he was a bit sour about the loss. Anyway, you’ve come a long way.” He cleared his throat and employed his more calm tone, “You’re probably asking yourself, what is there to learn from me, what else is there?” Kenji’s thoughts trailed off because he had indeed been thinking that very thing. He defeated the most powerful Genjutsu user of his clan, a clan notorious for Genjutsu and he had surpassed his father a weapon’s expert; he mastered sage mode and he was getting along just fine increasing the amount of chakra he could regenerate by himself. What exactly did Ooame have to offer?

~FEW WEEKS LATER

This was it; Kenji was now heading to the same area he defeated Jasio; this time he was going up against Ooame. The ground was moist from the previous showers. He was sure Ooame could hear him arriving to the destination. As soon as Kenji waded through the brush, there was the leader of the Chikara with his ornate robes on. The robes flew off; he used some type of Ninjutsu. He had on a tight long sleeve black shirt with the Chikara symbol on the chest; he also wore black ninja tights along with traditional ninja sandals. Kenji was aware of all of Ooame’s ability: Master of Bukitjutsu (SS), Master of Genjutsu (SS), barely failed to achieve Sage Mode (C), and a skilled Ninjutsu user (B). Ooame was also extremely strong (S rank shinobi with SS rank Bukitjutsu) and he had good speed, he might be able to keep up with him, he actually wasn’t too sure about that aspect of him (S rank shinobi- S rank speed). Kenji could match Ooame in Genjutsu and he could beat him in speed, but Kenji was at a big disadvantage in strength and Bukitjutsu making him vulnerable in close. If the fight took place in close, it was going to be a long day for Kenji, unless he used sage mode, and that would even the fight in close due to the Kenji’s sensing bubble granted by sage mode allowing him to react much quicker than he normally can. Kenji’s sage mode might be the deciding factor, he surpassed his “sensei” in the art by far, and he planned to flex his superior talent in Senjutsu.

Kenji stood with his scarf flowing in the wind; he finally whipped it off and tossed it to the ground. Kenji had on a tight dark blue long sleeve shirt with the Chikara symbol on the chest with blue ninja tights on and traditional ninja sandals. Kenji had with him his Hane, rusty katana, and his kunai/shuriken. Across from him, Ooame wasn’t wearing a third of his true arsenal: He had only the Chikara twin axe on his back making an “X”. And of course he probably had some kunai and such. The Double Chikara Lightning Axe was a very dangerous weapon, and is strong enough to be your only weapon in combat. The DCLA was proverbial among the Chikara and naturally Kenji knew all of its capabilities. The DCLA had poor piercing ability, only capable of just breaking the skin, but contact of any kind would electrocute you, dealing second degree burns to the area and if coupled with a complete swing, severe bruising if the electrocution/2nd degree burns weren’t enough. This next portion was not as well known, because so few have mastered its full potential but Kenji was aware of what a master in the art could also perform with the weapon. When the tips of the DCLA are brought together orbs used for defense, blasts used for offense, and debilitating waves of electricity can be created. The ultimate technique was the Dual Lightning Wave; a massive wave of electricity can be released that travels dauntingly fast and covers a tremendous area. Someone like Kenji with his speed, even if Kenji was in sage mode he wouldn’t be able to avoid it if it was timed correctly. However, Kenji did have a technique that could possibly save him, so he would have to save that jutsu and hold it for when or if Ooame used Dual lightning wave.

Not a word was muttered, there had been plenty of talk over the past few weeks. The two shinobi were undoubtedly close in ability and the fight would be close and intense. Ooame’s expression would imply otherwise; Kenji simply smirked at his sensei’s apathetic expression. He drew his Hane from its sheath on his hip and dashed forward in a linear fluent streak towards the imposing figure. A few feet from being in striking range, he made eye contact and pivoted, feinting a straight forward attack and was now striking from an angle in Ooame’s side vision. In a flicker Ooame was wielding one of the axes. Kenji delivered a downward diagonal strike from his angle to the left of Ooame. His right arm brought the Hane down with force, technique, and speed. An attack of this caliber, quality, and speed would probably decimate a lesser opponent. However, in this case, Ooame placed the axe in position to intercept the strike easily. The fast shinobi followed up with allowing his Hane to be deflected by the parry and with a twirl of his fingers his Hane was coming back with a slightly different trajectory. Slight shifts in his body weight with minimum movement of his axe allowed him to defend against Kenji’s strike and his other sword attacks; Kenji’s following attacks consisted of a horizontal slash and an array of other quick and subtle slashes. Ooame’s strength and skill with the Axe allowed him to maneuver/control it with ease, in his hands it was a formidable offensive and defensive weapon. After the exchange, Kenji utilizing his skill in Battojutsu, he brought down his second katana from the scabbard on his back.  Even with Ooame’s significant strength advantage, he was only using one arm to Kenji’s two, Oomae began to waver but the power struggle soon stabilize and both shinobi leaped backwards creating space. Oomae landed with a thud. Kenji landed with his momentum still going backwards as he slid backwards, his feet dragging against the damp terrain. Unlike his fight with Jasio, the two shinobi made no agreement that they wouldn’t use their shared special ability. Therefore, Ooame could have it active; there was no way for Kenji to know. Kenji would use the brief moment of rest to activate his. There was a way to find out if Ooame has his active, simply attempt a Genjutsu. Even though it made sense to activate his Genjutsu Block when facing a powerful Genjutsu user, there was a chance Ooame underestimated Kenji’s ability in Genjutsu, even after defeating Jasio. Kenji sheathed his katanas and made a hand seal, preparing his Mirror Dome Genjutsu. Mirror Dome was a Genjutsu that weighed down the opponent’s mind, making them more susceptible to Genjutsu. Kenji needed only to hold the hand seal for a while (he can move while holding the hand seal) then make eye contact, and that would increase the effectiveness of all his subsequent Genjutsu, obviously if Ooame had his Genjutsu Block active it would repel the Genjutsu. As Kenji held his hand seal, Ooame was weaving some of his own; then, from his mouth came a violent torrent of suiton. Kenji’s eyes narrowed as the torrent frayed as it drew closer. The single body of water broke off in three sections; Kenji now had a massive stream of water coming from his left, right, and directly in front. The crouching shinobi had no choice, and he had to break his hand seal. He drew both katana and began to channel fuuton chakra through both. Kenji spun rapidly while fuuton chakra was being released simultaneously. The maneuver created a “cocoon” that wrapped all around Kenji.

All three water torpedoes collided with the “Cocoon of the Steel Spirit”; one of Kenji’s few defensive jutsus. His collection of defensive jutsu was small because he often relied on his speed, reflexes, and Genjutsu from range to aid him in avoiding attacks. His sheer speed was always a plus, his reflexes were adequate and his Genjutsu often made it difficult for opponent’s to land a clean strike due to their senses being disrupted; feeding them false images, sounds, and sensations. It was because of those things that he rarely used the Cocoon of the Steel Spirit. Not only that, but the suiton jutsu was so strong Kenji was forced to use the jutsu with two katana. Ooame was able to maintain the attack for a while, but Kenji was able to sustain his rotation as well. The ground soaked up most of the water generated by Ooame’s technique. Kenji concentrated chakra in the bottom of his feet, giving him better footing on the increasingly soggy ground. As his balance stabilized he sheathed both his katana once more and clapped his hands together attempting one of his easiest triggered Genjutsu. “Let’s see if your Genjutsu Block is active.” As the sound emitted from Kenji bringing his hands together advanced to Ooame’s ears, Kenji waited patiently. Once the trigger succeeded, Kenji gained control of Ooame’s chakra; he was so surprised he almost forgot to execute the Genjutsu. Sonic Diffusion not only severely reduced the opponent’s hearing but it also decreased their reflexes, and with Kenji’s speed advantage that might be all he needed. “I don’t know why your kekkai genkai isn’t active, but I’ll make sure you pay.”

With his Hane drawn again he sprinted ahead at full speed for Ooame. The leader of Chikara braced himself. Right as Kenji was about to enter striking range, he felt a tug on his ankle stopping him from moving. “You might as well discard Genjutsu of that level against me.” Instantly the axe was coming right for Kenji. The blue hair shinobi still had his Hane, and he began to run raiton chakra through to defend himself. However, the natural electric properties of the axe negated the desired effect and the axe completed its course not only knocking away the Hane but connecting with the left shoulder of Kenji. He spun violently through the air as electricity surged throughout his entire body. Kenji struggled to his feet only to be stomped in the back by the swift and silent Ooame. Kenji’s face smacked into the wet ground. As he managed to lift his head up out of the moist terrain, “Gotta go!” Whoosh. Kenji was gone and in his place, a log. Kenji was about 8 meters behind Ooame and he initiated another Genjutsu with a gust of wind heading quickly for Ooame. The leader of the Chikara’s head slowly turned around and as he did the gust of wind smacked him in the face. Ooame was talented in detecting and combating Genjutsu even without his kekkai genkai. Therefore, Kenji launched four shuriken all aimed for his back, he went with this attack as opposed to charging because there was no telling what Ooame had planned, and for now he preferred attacking from a safe distance and ensnaring him in Genjutsu.

Ooame would be unable to combat the shuriken since the Genjutsu robbed the opponent of their sense of their surroundings as it swirled out of control, and Kenji strategically launched the shuriken after he was in the Genjutsu. The four shuriken penetrated and stuck in his back. A bead of sweat ran down Kenji’s temple, “I hit him.” Ooame turned around fully, “I know you’re not a physical mid range threat, so that Genjutsu is pointless since you can’t risk getting in close against me. Measly shuriken only ruin my clothes, and I have 8 identical shirts.” Kenji scoffed, “You’re quite cheeky in combat aren’t you?”

“Do I really have the needed techniques to provide me sufficient cover to deliver a substantial blow? I might have to sage mode earlier than I would like if I have any chance. He hasn’t even shown any of his Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and very little of his skill in Bukitjutsu. If he can thwart me this easily, there’s no telling how difficult he’ll be to hurt when he does.”

~Ooame: He’s always been scrappy, but it appears he is not yet ready. He still has sage mode in his pocket; that is the only thing that will enable him to keep up with me. In that case, I’ll have to resort to mid range Ninjutsu. (Smiling) It’s been a while since I’ve had to use Ninjutsu. Anyway, the only question left now is, when will he realize his predicament and enter sage mode. His skill in Senjutsu and his speed is remarkable; I’ll never be able to prevent him from entering his augmented state. I’ll continue to reserve my chakra until he goes all out.

Ooame was already more skilled with weapons making close range combat his territory against Kenji. But not only was he a better swordsman he was significantly stronger than Kenji [Ooame- S rank strength + SS rank Bukitjutsu + significant size. Kenji- A rank strength + S rank Bukitjutsu – Frail trait]. The only reason he had minor success earlier was because of his superior strike speed, forcing Ooame to take a defensive stance. Finally, Kenji made the first move and sprinted to his right. Ooame eyes squinted as even he struggled to track the blue blur that was Kenji. The Jounin began to circle Ooame, and as he circled him he slowly transformed into sage mode and the speed increased. “I’m in trouble.” For the second Kenji was Ooame’s blind spot he launched 2 kunai that hit the back of the neck and the heel. After a wince Ooame drew both axes. Kenji’s speed (Beyond SS rank) was going to prove too much to handle for Ooame, just like with Jasio. “I see why Jasio lost to you, this speed is… ridiculous for someone so young and early in development.” Then out of nowhere a cut appeared on the cheek of Ooame. “?! I didn’t even sense it! Alright, I knew his sage mode was going to be impressive, no shock there. It’s time to get serious.”

Kenji finished circling and stopped right in front of Ooame (7-10 meters away). The leader of the Chikara began to mold raiton chakra in his hands. “Oh how I wish my Rubber Synch Suit was ready. If I had my RSS I could easily withstand raiton of this level. Well, I’ll just have to use raw speed to avoid his attacks.”

~Ooame: I never expected him to be this fast. This will surely fail in hitting him, but hitting him isn’t the plan.

Kenji looked at Ooame analytically. Kenji knew Ooame was calculating as well, digesting all the information he had on Kenji’s ability and even personality to maximize his effort. Then, Ooame made a fierce whirling punching motion that fired several orbs of raiton chakra. “He can’t believe an attack of this speed can hit me…” Kenji didn’t know what Ooame was up to… but he was up to something. Kenji’s sage mode also allowed him to sense changes in the environment, increasing his reflexes greatly, and in an effort to conserve as much energy as possible Kenji avoiding the 5 orbs of electricity without moving from his position. A series of leans and ducks proved sufficient. What Kenji didn’t expect was that the orbs hovered behind him, “Oh, this isn’t good.” The orbs exploded one by one, due to Kenji’s awareness and his speed he was able to escape the blast radius, and while he escaped he could sense Ooame charging him with both axes drawn. Kenji planted his right foot and pivoted to face Ooame. He dodged his first three precise and heavy swings; if Kenji wasn’t in sage mode the strikes would’ve most likely connected. The sage’s strike speed was even more superior to Ooame’s now; he quickly drew his Hane and rusty katana and in flash, placed multiple well placed slashes that penetrated Ooame’s defenses. Kenji was able to predict where Ooame was going to block and because of that perception and his control and speed he was able to direct his blows accordingly. The five strikes landed in a little more than a second. In sage mode he was aware of everything within 10 meters, and he could sense high speed movement way beyond Ooame’s ability, “Substitution, and I know where you are.” Ooame didn’t have a moment to breathe before Kenji was pouncing. “Damn it, at this rate, I won’t even have an opportunity to use Dual Lightning Wave.”

Kenji’s attack was thwarted by a wall of lightning released from Ooame’s hand after sheathing one of his axes. Kenji quickly dug his left foot into the ground and circumvented the wall, sprinting around it and arriving less than a meter behind Ooame. Kenji moved in position in a second and initiated a sword slash. Ooame sunk into the earth barely avoiding Kenji’s strike. Not only could Kenji sense life above ground but also below and as Ooame tried to grab Kenji’s ankle, the Jounin was all too aware and placed his Hane where his ankle was. The palm of Ooame went straight into the Hane, his own force being enough for the extremely sharp blade to penetrate all the way through, but Kenji helped him out and applied force of his own, now half of his Hane had drove through the center of his palm and it was still lodged. Ooame was on his knees with the Hane sticking out of it; then Ooame began to sparkle. “Lightning clone!” Kenji removed his Hane and leaped away. “The real Ooame must have barely slipped out of my sensing range using the shadow clone as a decoy, so where is the real one?”

Kenji stood atop the surface, his blue skin shimmering with sweat. His sharp nails tapping on the hilt of his now sheathed Hane. Kenji had heard rumors about Ooame being able to cast Genjutsu from underneath the earth, but Kenji didn’t have to worry about that since he had his kekkai genkai active and Kenji was sure Ooame was aware of that. Kenji could feel a disturbance in the nature of the earth, right after he sensed a disturbance it manifested in the earth below his feet rumbling violently and cracking slightly. A arc of earth was created with the center of the arc (10 meters high) was above his head, and before Kenji could make a move the arc began rotating at a deadly velocity.

“I’m trapped and he can strike from underneath me at anytime. There has to be a way to defeat this rotating arc before Ooame arrives… got it.” Kenji drew his Hane and channeled a mass of raiton chakra through, this was the premise behind his Chikara Clash jutsu but he wasn’t going to use it on his opponent but against the doton arc. “Raiton is strong against doton, this should be more than enough of raiton to break through this arc.” With Kenji’s speed and awareness he figured he could place a powerful and precise strike on the moving arc but decided on something else, something surer. The center of the top of the arc was essentially stationary making it an easy targeted. Kenji jumped up and drove the tip of his raiton infused katana right through the earth, the result was shattered earth. Due to the rotation, the bits of earth flew violently in all outward directions, if anyone was in the area they would by severely injured by the debris.

Kenji moved from the cracked earth he stood upon to smoother terrain. He could now sense Ooame again as he could only remain underground for so long. “He’s coming up…” Ooame head protruded from the surface of the earth and the rest of his body soon followed. Kenji had his ace up his sleeve, but he didn’t want to play it until Ooame used his most powerful jutsu, Dual Lightning Wave. However, Kenji’s plan would have a better chance of working if he remained in sage mode, and his time in sage mode was running out. The combatants were separated by 10 meters of air. The broad and tall Ooame actually looked worn down and Kenji with his blue skin looked cool but he was fatigued. It appeared Ooame knew that Kenji didn’t want to attack and get caught in Dual Lightning Wave, so he was keeping his distance so he could avoid, and then after avoiding it launch his own finishing move. As a result, a stalemate occurred.

“As expected, you’ve transformed into a top class shinobi. Your speed and Senjutsu prowess alone make you a formidable opponent; if I weren’t a Chikara and had access to our wonderful special ability I might have not made it this far.” “But wait, I thought you weren’t using Genjutsu Block. I successfully captured you in every Genjutsu, and from what I discerned, you defended with conventional means.” Ooame smiled, “As you progress, you will find that our special ability is a lot more versatile than that. I guess Jasio didn’t share that with you, he really doesn’t like to lose. He was so salty about the loss he chose not to share with you the variation of the Genjutsu Block.” Kenji was puzzled, once again there was more to his clan than he knew, “This clan and its secrecy!” “No, it’s not secrecy but a right of passage. The knowledge must be earned is all, but mostly I’m simply resistant to Genjutsu due to my practice and experience. So, your high level Genjutsu Block has been active this entire fight and you’ve been in sage mode for quite some time. Do you have enough chakra, or even enough stamina to contend with me? I assure you my appearance is simply a result of me being underground, I’m not worn or tired in the slightest. I can go several days, but you, I give you 10 more minutes max. I guess that’s the deciding factor, I am physically a lot more durable and stronger than you.” Kenji kept a stern expression, he knew Ooame wasn’t bluffing, he’d seen his great stamina and durability first hand in the past. He was proverbial for his toughness and great chakra. He was right, and Kenji had already come to the determination himself he would have to act quickly to take advantage of his sage mode. It was time to act.

Kenji in a sudden burst took off towards Ooame, the distance (10 meters) between them small enough for Kenji to get in close in less than 2 seconds. However, Ooame knew what he was doing. He already had his axes at his side and in one silent motion the tips were on path to collide with each other. Kenji, using his keen awareness and speed in sage mode waited until the slightest twitch from Ooame. When it occurred signifying he was going for Dual Lightning Wave, he used his incredible aim to fire a kunai that was set to go in between the tips of the two axes, preventing the tips from coming together. “Here we go, and he still doesn’t have his Genjutsu Block active. I’ve got him.”

Naturally the CDLA shattered the measly kunai, but the contact threw the large axes slightly off course and the tips of the axes barely bypassed each other and Ooame’s arms were now crossing as a result. He appeared to be in pain, he swung with a great deal of force and the miss caused his shoulder to be thrown out of joint. Kenji was now in range (4 meters) and weaved his hand seals in an instant, and the fight was over. A tree suddenly appeared and from the trunk emerged large thick branches that wrapped around Ooame tightly, completely restricting his movements. Now immobilized, Kenji was still charging at full speed now within striking range, Ooame was helpless. Even if Ooame manage to break the Genjutsu, Kenji was too fast while in sage mode for Ooame to avoid the strike afterwards, and in addition, Kenji’s awareness would allow him to determine Ooame’s course of action further increasing his chances of hitting a moving target, once again with his speed, that would be relatively easily along with his extensive training in precision.

Kenji’s Hane was pressed up under the chin and into the throat of Ooame, “You should’ve activated your kekkai genkai, it seems you are more arrogant than me sensei.” Ooame chuckled slightly, not able to laugh completely due to the deadly weapon pressed against his jugular. “No, Kenji. Genjutsu wouldn’t have been the deciding factor either way. With your speed and awareness, you could’ve detained me without this impressive Binding Genjutsu. My Genjutsu block would have only wasted chakra. Your tactics, knowledge, speed, skill, and tenacity make for quite the combination I must admit. I never dreamed of being pushed this far by you. There is no denying your strength, your quick ascension in the ninja ranks, your early aptitude for Genjutsu and Bukitjutsu, and finally, your mastery of Senjutsu. You have also shown to be responsible, addressing the issue with Latika and being an ambassador with class and professionalism, whenever you want the title of ‘Head of the Chikara’, it’s yours.” Kenji relaxed his hand and let his Hane fall from his neck, he slowly sheathed it. “Thank you, Ooame. If I desire the responsibility and honor of leading the Chikara clan, I’ll let you know.” Kenji bowed slightly, but Ooame appeared sad that Kenji didn’t jump at the chance to become the Head of the Chikara. All he did was give a solemn nod. “Alright then, let’s get something to eat.” “Ok.”

Ooame and Kenji fused with the patrons that filed into the cafeteria of the Chikara Base. It wasn't often Kenji himself ate here and Ooame as the head of the Chikara almost couldn't be forced to eat here; he considered himself a leader of the people but he still preferred to keep his distance. The Chikara buffet style restaraunt was a decent place, the food was good, the service fast. The elite Chikara grabbed their plates and began to stack them with what they wanted. The two made their way to the poultry section lokking to equip their plates with chicken. "I apologize if I offended you, Ooame. I've grown a lot in the area of leadership, but being the 'spiritual' leader or the head of the Chikara... I'm a powerful shinobi, I can't argue with that, but being a leader is more than just being skilled in combat. Not saying I'm not capable of leading, but I think there are others more suitable for the position. Like my father, yes he's older and not as strong as me anymore; but he would make an outstanding leader, or my uncle, yes he's quite arrogant but he has genius level intellect." Kenji broke off as he looked at the food items. "It's ok. I understand, it's never been your preference to be counted on in such a way. You're use to people expecting you to cut people down or add flare and eventfullness to a situation. You're not the serious type, I understand."

The two had not been shy in assorting their platters. Kenji had a slew of items; eg; clams, scallops, chicken, rice, and bread. Ooame's dish didn't differ by much. They both sat down with a frosty beverage and began to eat. "You're skill in sage mode is remarkable. The Kasfarians were right in selecting you to continue Senjutsu. That was a fantastic fight we had." Kenji nodded in agreement as he was in the midst of chewing multiple juicy scallops. "I've developed an existing style of combat that I feel complements me extremely well while utilizing sage mode. 'Predatory Style' and 'Blitz/Blitzkrieg Style'. I've yet to face an opponent who can withstand such violent and relentless offense mixed with precise defense."

Ooame raised an eyebrow, "Explain." "Well, with predatory style I tend to use Genjutsu, as the slightest flaw in the opponent's senses can be exploited with relative ease given the speed I'm capable of moving at while in sage mode. Also, predatory style involves patience and timing more than anything. Blitz style however, I view as the ultimate application of my sage mode abilities. I use the speed to charge the enemy at angles, most can not even follow my movements; then, I use my enhanced awareness to alter strikes at the last second decreasing their chances of effective defense even more. I often dread going to such lengths as it normally takes the fun out of combat, as they simply become sitting ducks when I get serious." Kenji smirked at his arrogance, he simply couldn't help himself

Both men had worked up quite the appetite and they ceased conversation as they enjoyed their buffet. Kenji made many trips back to the isles of food to replenish his plate all over or to dress a new plate. Kenji hadn't indulged himself like this in awhile, lately it's been all work and room for gluttony, but over the past few months he had made tremendous accomplishments and he decided to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Using sage mode to most was very tiresome, but even with Kenji's low stamina reserve he was able to stay in the mode with ease thanks to his prowess with Senjutsu chakra. Being to absorb natural energy had permanently changed the makeup of his body more or less, he had more energy and he had access to even more granted he had the time necessary to absorb so much. Kenji almost felt bad about his actions to come... a smile tugged on his lips as he relished in the moment he would betray Ooame, the moment he'd kill him.

"What do you find amusing Kenji?" "Oh, nothing."
