Abel had gotten up that morning to try and do something for money. But the mission board had been crowded and once he finally got a mission it was one he would of much rather have stayed in bed. He was to go collect 10 Kilos of resources...but that wasn't the worst part. They where sending him to a place with reported haunting s. If it was anything else he would be fine but the dead scared him. He felt a shiver run down his back as he peeked around the tree at the edge of the island. His bottom lip trembling as he contemplated going back. His stomach rumbling was the one thing that kept him rooted to the spot instead of running and screaming. His left hand had a trembling grip on the hilt of the hunk of metal he called a sword. He knew it wouldn't do him any good here but he had hope that it would bring him some comfort. Still the swallow felt like swallowing a lump in his throat as he slowly edged out from behind the tree. This was silly. There was no such things as ghost right?

Still he progressed forward at a slow pace. For the first time he hated the heavy mists of Kiri and how eerily they settled around the path here. Still he mustered his courage and took step after step. It was lonely here. So much so that he wished to himself he had brought at least one other person with him for company. Now every breeze sounded eerie and every shift in the mist was the undead. Hell the air itself was cold and damp. Regardless his slow trek brought him to the giant mouth of an abandoned mine. The wind blowing through it reminded him of a howling animal angry at an intruder. Once more he contemplated turning around and running to the turn in station and beyond. If he wasn't so hungry he would never of come out here to begin with after all. His teeth grit as he steps forward into the cave entrance. Ignoring how his legs where shaking as he faked some confidence walking deeper into the mine. After all his family was considered monsters in their own nature. The way that nothing seemed to kill them as they healed. An uneasy grin crossed his lips. What monster would bother another monster?

He was some distance into the cave now as he contemplated how much further into the cave he would have to go before he would know what he was looking for. It couldn't be much further he reasoned. After all who in their right mind would travel this far under a mountain of earth willingly? Another shiver ran down his spine as he pictured being buried alive. Crushed under the weight of the mine on top of him and this being his grave. it was these thoughts that kept his attention away from the scene around him.

He finally stopped walking as he noticed it. There where tools and wheel barrows loaded with items all around him. Even a helmet was sitting on the ground as if a work crew had simply vanished. But why would they? He stiffened as he heard that bestial howl made by the wind and he decided he was done here. He grabbed the fullest wheel barrow he could find and went sprinting with it out of the mine and back up the path with his eyes pressed shut hard. He was never going back there. No matter how much they paid him. He was going to have a cheese burger and a milk shake and all was going to be dandy.
