Kaguza

Kaguza

D-rank
Kaguza took a brake from his usual training routine and ventured about the country hidden in the mist. His path taking him out to the swamps of the land, the land wasn't one you'd find children running around and playing. A danger was apparent with the surrounding terrain, a mix of creatures such as snakes and Crocodiles, along with quicksand pits. His training regiment was pulling at the back of his mind, it was how long he had basically done the same style of training as opposed to not actually doing the routine. Having managed to achieve a very high rank within the village, his skill set wasn't very versatile. The years of his training had given him a mastery over a variety of weapons, but there wasn't much more that he could do. Lightning and Earth jutsu were refined through his training, but they had their limits. Kaguza wanted something new to further expand his capabilities. Looking around the water that sat amongst the wetlands, ideas arose in his mind. Those who could use water in their jutsu could create a few different results in battle.

The large War-hammer Temper hung on his back, a weapon that bore the mist village's emblem. The more he thought about those with water release, the more he wanted to come up with techniques and combine them with his war hammer. The problem was that he didn't know how to use water release. Setting Temper down on the ground, Kaguza sat down beside it. Taking an almost meditative pose, he began contemplating what it might take to utilize water. The more he tried to think about it the more he simply thought of those who could use it. The list primarily contained those of the Aisu clan within the village, the Mizukage Ayakashi, Strafe, and Yuudai, all coming to mind. Kaguza had a habit of training as well as problem solving alone, years of training and working in such a manner had created a very stubborn and independent person, though he did ask on rare occasion.

Strafe sat on the majestic beast known as Momaru as they walked casually towards a very familiar place in Kirigakure. The Swamp of Sorrows was Strafe's unofficial training grounds, so it was obvious what he was going to do there. The blue haired teen smiled as he looked down to the lion that had become his best friend. Not only was Momaru an awesome training partner, he was a convenient ride in the mornings. His bo-staff, The Staff of Hurricanes, sat loosely in both hands, as he was going to be training his use of it that day. He had learned that very fighting style in this swamp, so it seemed fitting to train it in the very same place. Strafe's train of thought was broken as he saw the entrance to the swamp and smirked. It was about time to begin his training. Their slow stride quickly changed into a speedy run as Momaru took off like lighting through the swamp. He was quite used to the various traps and such that lined the area, so it was like child's play to get through. Strafe sat quietly and looked around for anything out of the ordinary.

It didn't take long for a surprise to come their way as Strafe spotted a man in the distance. He seemed familiar in shape, or so Strafe thought. "Get Closer" Strafe whispered to Momaru as his pace slowed until they were walking a normal speed once again. Momaru didn't want to alarm the person after all. As they got closer and closer, Strafe recognized the identity of the person. It was Kaguza, the man he shared his early days with as a Genin. He smiled and yelled out to the old friend. "Kaguza! It's Strafe!" He said loudly, hoping to get the man's attention. Even in those days, Kaguza was a strong shinobi and someone he had always looked up to. His recent promotion to Sannin only confirmed his strength and reputation as a ninja. Momaru walked up to man casually before letting Strafe jump off and approach him. "What brings you to the swamp?" Strafe asked the man with a friendly expression as he waved to Kaguza. Maybe he could help in his training.

Thoughts of Kaguza fighting in a water armor jutsu kept him occupied as another approached from the village. As he stared into a pool of swampy water, Strafe of the Aisu clan made his appearance mounted on a large lion. Despite calling out to Kaguza, it wasn't until he got closer and dismounted the large creature that he noticed his presence. Almost snapping back to reality Kaguza looked over at Strafe not expecting to see a powerful lion standing behind him. Staring at both Strafe and the lion for a moment, "That's a lion." It took a moment for the fact that such a powerful creature was simply standing there. "I didn't know you had a lion with you." Kaguza was never one to keep up others. He mostly kept to himself and his training.

Putting the fact that Strafe had a large lion with him aside, it had been some time since he last ran into Strafe. The two of them first met during an assignment while the village was still under the major portion of it's reconstruction, they were to help with rebuilding houses and other buildings. Standing up to properly great them, Kaguza returned Temper to it's appropriate place. The war hammer named Temper stood a tall five foot six inches, and hung from Kaguza's back. The weapon was more complicated then it appeared to be, able to extend with a chain and strike up to ten meters away. "Hello Strafe, that's quite a fearsome lion with you. I didn't know there was such a creature living within the country." While he didn't know of the Lion, word of Strafe's Bo staff had reached his ears, a simple but powerful weapon. "I'm just looking for change of pace, was fantasizing over the potential of learning to utilize water release." A light bulb seemed to click inside his head as he spoke to Strafe. "If you're willing to, you think you could teach me a thing or two about water release?" Strafe was of Aisu clan, ones known for combining Wind and Water to create Ice. One of the Aisu clan would be next to perfect to teach someone about either wind or water.

"His name is Momaru and he's one of a kind." Strafe said looking back to lion, signaling him to approach Kaguza as well. The smokey lion walked over with a smiles as he looked over the Sannin in front of him. "Nice to meet you, Kaguza." He said politely as he stood beside Strafe. The difference in size was considerable, making him impressive to most that see him. "He saved my life and has been my companion ever since." Strafe explained as he patted the beast on it's right shoulder, showing their friendship. Strafe then turned back to Kaguza as he listened to his question. His face lit up with excitement as he considered the request. "Absolutely! You wouldn't be the first." Strafe responded with a warm tone as his mind thought back too Nagare. That was a fun time for him, and a fond memory that he would always possess. Strafe thought about the situation for a moment a remembered the fact that Kaguza was considerably skilled with weapons. An idea immediately popped into his mind. "Would you mind helping me train Bojutsu in return?" He asked with a hopeful expression. That was one skill that he needed to work on, among others.

Strafe moved the staff in front of him and looked at it for a minute. It was not something he was completely comfortable with yet, so a little spar and some pointers would be extremely helpful. "We can do Suiton first if you like." He said hoping to kill two birds with one stone. Momaru nodded at Strafe to encourage him in this training. He wanted nothing more for the young ninja than success in everything he did. The bond they had was sort of parental mixed with friendship. A unique relationship that helped push Strafe in the right direction when it came to his training. Momaru stepped back once again, giving the two of them appropriate room to maneuver and train. Considering the skills that were being trained, he didn't want to be caught in the crossfire. Strafe looked at Kaguza with an encouraging gleam in his eye as he nodded. "Whenever you're ready, we will start." Strafe said as he waited for the man's response. This would be an interesting day to say the least.

Amazement washed over Kaguza as he heard the lion speak, "You are rare sight, It's a pleasure to meet you Momaru." To have such a creature at his side would make Strafe a dangerous foe to go against, thankfully he'd never have to go against the two of them in real combat. "It's good to know Strafe has a companion to look after him." Kaguza meant well, though he did aim to tease Strafe a bit with his remark. The thought of help him with his Bojustu training in exchange for learning about water release was a fair trade to Kaguza. His experience with weaponry varied more then most ninja, though he'd wouldn't claim a mastery over some types such as the Bo staff. He knew enough to at least give a few tips.

Kaguza wasn't entirely sure how Strafe was going to teach him. Did he want to teach by sparring? Taking Temper in hand, he stood the weapon on it's end. At it's locked position the weapon stood only a couple of inches shorter then Kaguza himself. Temper was a master piece to him, at full length it had a the potential to strike ten meters away. "I suppose we can trade ideas as we go. I'll point out a few things for you as they surface." Strafe held his weapon in front of him, the perfect position for one quick rule. "Rule one, control. It's your weapon, not mine, don't let me take it from you." A click sounded from his war hammer. With a swift swing the head of his weapon flew towards Strafe. It's target more specifically was Strafe's Bo staff, he intended to latch onto it using his anchor jutsu and try to pull the weapon from his grasp. Even if his initial strike missed, it would collide with a large rock behind Strafe. Kaguza would latch onto the rock and begin swinging it around like a morning star at Strafe instead.

Strafe smiled at the remark of Kaguza. While it was meant as a playful comment, it was true. He did need someone to watch his back. Momaru simply chuckled as he heard the man's comments. "I appreciate it." He said politely as he looked to see what would happen between the two of them. Strafe prepared himself for the upcoming spar with a few deep breaths and a little concentration. He knew that Kaguza was quite skilled with various weaponry, so it would be top priority for him to focus on that. "I'll give you some tips on Suiton as we spar as well." He a bit more seriously as he waited for the man to make the first move. It didn't take long, as Kaguza used his hammer to begin the spar. The head detached, surprisingly, and flew towards Strafe. A chain connected the head to rest of the weapon. Considering what he had just said, Strafe guess that he wished to disarm him in some manner. He didn't have enough information to assume how though, so the best option would be to dodge. Strafe immediately dove to the left, landing on his hands, with the bo staff in them, and bounced to his feet further to the left. The move was successfully dodged, or so he thought.

He then decided to turn to the offensive, moving at considerable speeds as he charged towards Kaguza. A crashing sound could be heard behind him, making him assumed that the weapon had connected with something. He glanced over his shoulder to see that the hammer had latched onto a rock. That wasn't all it was doing, as it was moved and swung at him in a way similar to a morning star. Strafe's body twisted, hoping to build up some momentum as he turned to strike the rock by bringing the bo staff down to hit the rock. His staff moved fluently as it connected with the rock to smash it, causing it to crack and crumble under the strength of his strike. "The first thing you need to know about Suiton is that it requires your chakra to be fluent and consistent. Similar to how you move with a weapon." He said turning to look at the Sannin as he panted lightly. "Any abrupt interruptions in the flow of the chakra can cause the technique's flow to cease." He said adding to his first tip on using water jutsu. He had barely countered that attack, so he needed to be careful in the future.

Kaguza had yet to move from his current spot, giving himself and challenge, he'd stay for as long as possible. "Fluent and consistent, very well." Based on what Strafe said Kaguza could see a similarity between the way water moves and how he wields his favorite weapon. What remained of the rock that he had latched onto now fell away as his jutsu ended. Visualizing a ring that his hammer could reach, he began a long series of fluid strikes particularly aimed at Strafe's feet. "Rule two, balance. Consider it a third arm or leg, strike with it, stand on it, make it a part of you." Kaguza aimed to sunder the ground where ever Strafe stood or landed. Considering that the battle at hand was more of a learning experience, he'd at least have some fun with it.

The series of ranged strikes would make it difficult to approach Kaguza. Temper's ability to strike from up to ten meters away, made it an impressive weapon. It's creation was the idea taken from multiple weapons. One of which was an old saying specific to the Bo Staff, A foot longer is a foot stronger. The head of his war hammer demonstrated this idea each time it lashed out at a distance. The scene was quite a display as the chain that connected the head to the handle seemed to be everywhere.

Strafe listened to the man's words carefully. He knew them to be true, but that was an area he lacked in. He swapped his focus to the hammer that was being swung at him from a distance. He took a hard jumping forward into the air, dodging it's first strike as expected. He peaked with his head facing the ground, planting his bo-staff in the dirt. He used the strength in his arms to leap off the ground once again to dodge the second strike of the man's hammer. He landed gracefully a few meters away, turning his body in preperation of the next attack. He used the momentum that he built from his turn to strike the hammer, which flew at him from the side. While the strike redirected the hammer as he wished, the force behind the hammer sent him flying a few feet back. He immediately used a jutsu out of habit to stop him. An almost transparent disk of ice appeared behind him at an angle and Strafe landed on hit harshly. The disk cracked a bit, but remained in tact.

Strafe was breathing a little heavy at this point. His mind raced to find the hammer, which was once again headed his way. He dove off the ice disk and rolled onto his feet. The hammer crashed into the disk and destroyed it. Strafe used the distance to try to close in on his opponent. He took a few steps before planting the bo-staff in front of him. He used the staff to vault himself up in the air and position himself for an attack. His body flipped once in the air as he curled it up and straightened it out once again. as he declined, his bo-staff was aimed at Kaguza. "A key to using Suiton is discipline. You have to have endurance to control water. It is not something you just release at your opponent. It has to be molded and controlled continuously to get it's full effect." He said has he approached his opponent.

Strafe was managing to dodge his ranged strikes quite well, even counter attacking the head of his hammer, though the force it generated knock him back as well. The war hammer was a weapon made to go against defenses, the blunt force often strong enough to render armor useless. Vaulting himself into the air, Strafe made an attack from above. Against an opponent of similar skill it would likely be successful, however the difference between himself and Strafe was similar to if they were using water against each other. Keeping in mind that this was more a learning exercise then a battle of blood, Kaguza simply jumped to the side enough to avoid the falling Bo staff. "Rule three is your opponent. Take into account his skill and weapon." Retracting the chain quickly, the hammer head met it's handle as Strafe landed. Moving the head of his weapon behind himself, he aimed to strike Strafe with the pommel end of his War Hammer. The pommel end of his war hammer Temper by design was drawn to a point for piercing potential. Kaguza purposefully moved slower, he wanted Strafe to dodge in some fashion, and not be skewered.

"The moment the potential for battle makes itself clear, you should identify every possible threat from an opponent's weapon." The more the two ninja sparred and told each other of there desired areas of learning, the more the two lessons seemed similar in Kaguza's mind. Disicpline, fluid control, consistency, concentration, and endurance were all required to successfully utilize any weapon or fighting style. Slowly he could feel an aspect of water, well up inside himself, but it wasn't quite strong enough yet for him to put chakra to it. The fight however, now that his "standing ground" challenge has ended, he could put more effort into. After finishing his stab, he turned in motion to strike out with the head of his hammer, holding it locked to the handle.

Listening to the Sannin's words carefully, Strafe moved on instinct. He jumped forward, moving past Kaguza at impressive speeds as he landed in a roll, ending up on his feet. It require extreme agility to do what Strafe did, but that was one thing Strafe had quite a bit of. Using his agile body, he moved the bo-staff around his body as soon as he was on his feet, building momentum in the process. He swung it horizontally at Kaguza's ribs, knowing that the man would dodge it. He decided to follow up by shifting his center of gravity downwards, spinning one more time as he descended. He swung the bo staff horizontally, letting the shaft slide down his hand to get the full reach of the weapon. He aimed to sweep the man's feet. "Chakra control. When using Suiton jutsu, you may not have a body of water to use, and the more water you create, the more chakra you use. Similar to the way a weapons master regulates their breath and energy spent, a Suiton user must always be mindful of how much chakra he is using to create water."

Strafe knew this to be true. He had seen more than one shinobi die of a lack of chakra because they did not heed this rule. More so than other jutsu, the water change in nature takes mass amounts of chakra to create larger and more powerful jutsu. Strafe knew that this wouldn't be a problem for someone like Kaguza, but he needed to stress that point to him. As he brought himself back to his fighting stance, he planned out the next few steps of his strategy using the tips the man had taught him. This was proving to be quite a learning experience for the jounin.

Strafe dove past Kaguza avoiding his attacks. It was clear that his opponent fought based on speed and fluid motion. His ability with a staff still had a lot to learn but with such speed it wouldn't be too difficult to land a blow, or several. Attempting to strike at his side, Strafe swung his staff and followed up with a sweeping strike. Jumping into the air away from the swinging staff, he managed to avoid the assault. Despite dodging, Kaguza still listened as his sparring partner. "Chakra control huh, Perhaps I should focus on expanding my chakra pool then. I tend to get carried away in my use of chakra, thankfully it hasn't been my downfall." Landing on his feet a good distance from Strafe, his rules so far having been simple in nature. " Rule four is the advantage. There is always some benefit in a fight, rather it's terrain or allies. The high ground for archers, or outnumbering your foe. Smart fighters keep such things in mind during combat, the clever make it their own." Setting his hammer on it's head, Kaguza began quickly weaving hand signs.

The speed of his hand signs were deserving of his rank, seeming as he had just begun was was finished. The spiked end of his War hammer Temper lit up as what appeared to be a small blue flame formed. A slight buzz was audible as more of the strange flame formed and spread over Kaguza's entire body. Reaching out and picking up his hammer, the flames spread engulfing Temper as well. In a moment Kaguza appeared to be made solely of the strange flames as none of his body was visible through the fire. Once his form was taken over the creation of the blue flames began forming over anything that came to a point or blunt end. The grass and tree branches within a large twenty meter radius of Kaguza began to bear the strange flame, even the ends of Strafe's staff lit up with the blue flames. Upon closer inspection however it would be clear that it wasn't fire, but lightning. The small fire like phenomenons being created as a by product of a highly electrified area. While serving to spook those without an understanding of raiton, the electrical flames gave off no heat nor were they harmful to touch.

Serving to demonstrate his advice regarding the advantage in battle, Kaguza stood covered in the coronal discharge of his jutsu. Holding his large war hammer in his hand, he broke out into a run, charging towards Strafe. As he began to move however he seemed to split into three, this was the true purpose of his jutsu. While active Kaguza could create clones without a need for handsigns, though they were similar to the academy level ones. The two clones also appeared the same as Kaguza, covered in the electrical flames. Kaguza and his two clones encircled Strafe, each holding a flaming war hammer ready to strike. All in time, the three struck out as the hammer came of it's handle landing where Strafe stood. The three attacks landing in the same spot making it difficult to tell that the two clones had no mass to them.

Strafe frowned as his attacks both missed their target. Kaguza was fast and he was quite a bit more skilled, so it was to be expected. That didn't take away from the disappointment that he felt though. "Advantage, huh? Understood." He responded calmly as he awaited the man's next move. Not long passed before an unique fire substance started to cover his weapon. It slowly covered his body and eventually a twenty meter radius. Strafe's eyebrow rose as the tip of his staff was even covered in the odd substance. He contemplated the usefulness of the jutsu, as he didn't feel any heat and didn't see any smoke coming from the fire. His guess that this technique's purpose was not one of offense. Strafe looked at it with intent before focusing back on his opponent. He would be sure to keep on his toes for this counter, as it could be a tricky one.

Kaguza wasted no time in charging, moving at incredible speeds as he prepared to strike. Much to Strafe's surprise, he seemingly split into three people, throwing Strafe's mind immediately to the idea of either Genjutsu or clones. However, he didn't want to assume anything and simply slid into a defensive stance as he waited for the perfect time to retaliate. He watched intently as the body's started to move away from each other, trying to circle around him. Strafe eyes narrowed as he thought about his choices, but quickly settled for a strategy. He darted to his right, catching one of the body's off balance, and gripped his bo-staff tightly as he brought it up diagonally towards his target. To his surprise, the bo-staff went through the torso of his target without resistance, confirming that they extras did not have any mass or tangible form. This was similar to the Academy Clones that everyone knew, but it did not completely rule out Genjutsu.

Strafe turned to meet the other two, watching as they struck where he once stood. Strafe moved just in time to conveniently dodge their attack while starting his own. It was a lucky break, that was for sure. "Imagination. As silly as it sounds, Suiton is the one element that can take the form of whatever you wish. Creativity is key in the advanced uses of this element." He said simply as he decided on his strategy for a counter-attack. He immediately charged forward in response, hoping to catch Kaguza off guard. He moved at incredible speeds as he closed in on the body that he thought to be the actual Sannin. He moved in close and swung his staff vertically, adjusting it in mid-swing as he was actually aiming for the handle of his weapon. If he could jar the man's hand or potentially disarm him, it would leave an opening for him to strike directly. He smiled as he executed the second step of his plan. Six spears of ice sprung from the ground around the pair of ninja, potentially blocking the Sannin's escape route if he was the actual ninja and potentially blocking a counter if he was not. Strafe wanted to take this to close quarters as his weapon was lighter and therefore easier to maneuver in such a situation, or at least he thought.

Kaguza had his opportunity as Strafe dashed to strike one of his clones, it simply dissolving as the electrical flames went out, leaving a body replacement in place of one of the two remaining clones. Turning towards the now two fake Kaguzas, Strafe dodged there attack and began another pointer of Water Release. Imagination seemed more like a humorous tip then advice for learning, though creativity was the reason for everything including his current jutsu, without it the world wouldn't be as it was today.

His intention was to fulfill a basic job skill of being a ninja, erasing one's presence, though it wasn't something he did often. Three spikes sprung up around the two fake Kaguza's pinning them in, as Strafe struck the hand of his replacement. The staff gliding through the clone's hand as the rest of it dispersed the same as the first. Stealthily watching, Kaguza wanted his opponent to begin doubting and stop attacking the clones. His jutsu allowed him to create clones anywhere within it's range. He could hide while sending several clones at Strafe.

The other pinned clone watched as Strafe struck the other fake, dispersing itself just after. The field stood empty aside from Strafe as Kaguza clearly had hidden himself. The temptation to give out another piece of advice had to fall to silence, or else he'd give his position away. Instead he'd display several of Strafe's advice towards Water Release, through his jutsu. All around where Strafe stood, several clones climbed out of the electrical flames that lay scattered on the ground where grass or rocks lay. A total of fourteen clones stood around the Aisu ninja, each holding a large hammer in hand. Taking a fighting stance, the clones stood at the ready, waiting for Strafe.

Strafe's facial expression changed to one of confidence as each of his hits landed to no avail. With every connection came the dispersion of a clone. It seemed as if the talented Sannin was hiding at the moment. Strafe knew that clones of this level were bound to have some capability, but he wasn't too worried about it. He looked around to see 14 clones appear around him, making him chuckle a bit. To fight them would be easy, but also a potential trap. Instead, Strafe immediately though of a jutsu that would allow him to get away from the oddly normal flames that covered the area. He considered a few options before deciding on a specific jutsu. This would be fun.

Strafe raised his hand and activated a very familiar jutsu to him. A solid disk of ice appeared before him. It was about four meters in diameter and it was only a few inches thick. He left the ground with a push as he landed on the disk gracefully. The ice disk immediately moved to the right, ascending as it did so. He smiled as it made it's way out of the range of the flames, hopefully keeping himself out of the possibilities of attack. He turned to face the covered area with a grin as he looked to see where his opponent might be hiding. Deep blue eyes darted from one side of the area to another, searching for any mistakes the ninja might make.

After a few moment, he decided that such a mistake would not happen and it was time for him to change things up. He smiled as he thought of a few possibilities for a counter attack. He could destroy the area, but that would likely be a waste of chakra. He considered a few more options before deciding on another jutsu. He would see how composed this ninja was. He inhaled deeply before spitting out a dozen ice darts in a wide spread. He new the chances of hitting the Sannin was slim, but the potential to bring him out was enough to take the chance. Another upside was the fact that the jutsu did not take much chakra. From here, he would wait on his opponent to see how the next portion of the match would continue.

Kaguza continued to watch as Strafe stood surrounded by clones, a grin of confidence coming over his face as he used a disk to simply leave into the air. A smart move that put him at a disadvantage. From the sky Strafe had a birds eye view, as well as a range advantage as the electrical flames on his staff dispersed upon reaching twenty meters from kaguza. Such a distance he couldn't reach. He couldn't strike out with his hammer as it could only reach ten meters, throwing at such a distance would be easily avoidable. He'd have to come in closer before he could launch any form of assault.

Strafe atop his ice disk scanned the field looking for any sign of his hiding opponent, before letting out a set of ice needles raining down on the pack of clones. At such a distance it was easy to see the attack coming. Each of the clones sprinted towards the closest piece of cover, each moving towards there own protection. One of the clones moving behind the same tree that kaguza used to conceal himself, dispersing upon taking cover so that Kaguza could retake his place on the battle field should Strafe come closer to earth.

He dispelled the ice disk as well, causing it to crack and shatter into a rain of tiny ice particles. There was no point in wasting chakra, as Kaguza couldn't hide forever. Keeping his eyes on the spots in which the clones scurried off to, Strafe simply held his staff firm and shifted to a defensive stance. It was his move and he was sure to make full use of it. Strafe was at full alert now and felt a bit more comfortable with his bo-staff. He made sure to remember the tips that he had learned earlier in the training session. It was surprising to see the young Aisu come down from such an advantageous position, though it would be difficult to train in the air against and opponent who couldn't follow. Stepping off his ice disk, it dispersed in a mist of tiny particles. Back on the ground Kaguza could continue the sparring match between the two of them. The battle so far wasn't much to marvel at, however he felt confident that he had grasped water release, he'd simply have to put some more specialized training into it later.

Kaguza's Haunting Field jutsu having now a bit of more realistic battle experience, it was clear that this wasn't meant for a one on one fight. A group battle would give such a technique more use. Being a one on one fight there was a jutsu he had taught himself specifically for such fights, perhaps Strafe was the perfect opponent to field test the technique. A smile painted his face as he thought about it, it was time to step up the battle. Kaguza and all of his clones dashed from their respective hiding places. The mass of flaming bodies moving to encircle the Aisu ninja. The clones ready to move and attempt to keep Strafe within five meters of his actual person.

The original Kaguza setting his hammer on his back while he began weaving a quick and steady stream of hand signs, the remaining clones each performing different hand signs themselves. Upon completion, the ground under both Strafe and Kaguza began to shake and rise creating a large flat platform. Four pillars emerged from the earth, one at each corner just out of reach from the platform. Electrical sparks begin discharging from the four towers growing in size to full lightning bolts. The rate of discharge increasing dramatically till they generated a solid barrier that encased the two ninja.

Dispelling his Haunting Field jutsu, the electrical flames as well as his clones disappeared. "Welcome to my arena." With his war hammer Temper in his hand, he began channeling his chakra throughout the weapon. "Let's step up our match and give you something a little more difficult." Clearly the Sannin wasn't going to hold back any longer. Kaguza had a habit of over doing training exercises, but doing as such during his own training had made him stronger. Kaguza stood in an offensive stance ready for an attack, he wasn't one to make the second move however. Similar to his arena, electricity began arcing over his weapon. A fast swing of his weapon, the head of his hammer flew towards Strafe. A thick raiton chakra coated the head of his weapon as it flew towards Strafe, the chakra gave his war hammer the appearance of a powerful dragon. The dragon let out a frightening roar as it opened it's jaws to attack Strafe.

Strafe raised an eyebrow as all the clones of Kaguza, and possibly the ninja himself, came out of hiding and started to circle him. He grasped his staff tightly as he peered at each of them, making sure to keep an eye out for suspicious movement. Before he had much time to plan, they started forming hand-signs at rapid paces, causing the earth below them to shake. A moment passed and four pillars started to rise out of the ground. As they rose further up, a flooring followed them, making an arena like structure. Strafe chuckled at the thought of having a personalized arena, though he sort of did have a jutsu of that sort. The pillars halted in place and immediately shot out electricity. Each pillar seemed to connect with another via electrical wall, making Strafe grimace as he understood the power of the jutsu. He was trying to trap him into a close battle. Well that was quite fine.

As The ninja dispelled the clones and electrical fire, all that was left was the actual Sannin. He looked to be determined to take the battle up a notch, which was fine by Strafe's account. He wasn't looking for a play date. He immediately gathered an orb of ice chakra in his hand and released it into the air around them. The jutsu was one that he liked to use, as it tended to come in handy with someone who was stronger than him. "I hope you don't mind me making a few adjustments to the arena." He said smiling before awaiting his opponents move. His gaze never left Kaguza, waiting for any type of movement that was detectable. Before a few moments passed, Raiton chakra began to cover the hammer Kaguza was famous for, signifying the start of a technique. Strafe slid his left hand into his pocket and grabbed a Kunai. This could be bad. With incredible speed, The Sannin shot the head of the hammaer at Strafe, creating a massive amount of raiton chakra around it. It took the shape of a huge dragon, impressing Strafe with it's power. Strafe tossed the kunai to the right of him, planning his next move. The dragon closed in on him, but Strafe had another plan in mind. He substituted with the Kunai, allowing him to dodge the attack without worry for a minute or two. The dragon barreled into the Kunai, destroying it.

While the attack was being completed on the substitute, Strafe formed a few hand-signs before unleashing an attack of his own. Water particles gathered in the ground and air around him, forming into a large pile of snow-like ice. Strafe smiled as it launched at his opponent, hoping to catch him off guard now that his hammer was not near him. The attack was only strengthened by his earlier jutsu, the orb, so it was at full strength. If the Sannin dodged this attack, Strafe would have to go on the defensive, as he needed to conserve chakra. Even if the jutsu missed it's target, it might do some damage to the arena that they were in, keeping it from deterring him in the future.

The air had a chill as his opponent released a ball of ice, shattering and spreading out through the air inside. Kaguza saw as Strafe threw a kunai to the side, such a strange tactic, till his opponent performed a replacement with it. A strange idea turning into a smart way to dodge his initial attack with his raiton dragon. Inside of the enclosed area, dodging was more difficult as space was limited. Strafe's replacement jutsu inside of his arena easily marked him a skilled ninja of his rank, the question became how long could he make such maneuvers before coming in contact with the electrified walls of his jutsu.

The speed of the battle quickened as Strafe wasted no time in beginning his next attack. Gathering ice crystals from the air around him, Strafe launched what appeared to be a condensed blizzard at him. Mobility was not one of Kaguza's strong points though he wasn't terrible at it, the head of his dragon remaining in the small crater it had created with it's initial strike. Without even moving, Kaguza flew to the side avoiding Strafe's jutsu as it collided with the wall. There were two benefits to his dragon technique, the first was his weapon gained a powerful electrical aspect to it, the second being it moved at his command. With it's head still in the small crater, it acted as an anchor point pulling Kaguza out of the way. With the handle of the weapon the made up the core of his dragon firmly in his hand, moving his own body with the dragon was a possibility and aided him now in more then one battle.

"Make all the adjustments you want, the box won't come down unless I stop the jutsu." His arena technique played to his strengths of close quarter fighting. On the inside, unless hit with an incredibly powerful technique, the walls could endure nearly anything, including S rank techniques. The pillars on the outside however were it's weak point. They couldn't withstand same force as the walls and the entire jutsu would collapse if a single pillar was destroyed. It was perfect for one on one or multiple people so long as they were all contained.

Having dodged Strafe's Polar Jutsu, it was his turn to launch another attack. Shaking off the debris from the arena floor, Kaguza's raiton dragon again charged for him, the body of his dragon swinging in an arc. The ten meter long dragon inside of a fifteen by fifteen meter arena, it's body covered a significant amount of the space inside. It's reach when Kaguza stood in the middle of the arena, there was nothing that could escape it's area of threat. Kaguza himself joined in the assault as his dragon moved. Running towards Strafe, he dug his hand into the arena floor, and pulled out a hammer made from the earth floor of his jutsu. Now Kaguza was what he considered prime, he had multiple weapons at his disposal, currently one in each hand. With his raiton dragon ahead of him in it's assault, Kaguza aimed for after Strafe's dodge. Jumping in whatever direction necessary to strike him with his earth hammer, even if it meant jumping over the body of his raiton dragon.

Strafe eyes furrowed as he launched the huge stream of ice-like snow towards his opponent, just to see him dodge it with the hammer. It was an impressive weapon, one that Strafe would be sure to take care of soon enough. He watched as Kaguza slammed into the wall and winced at the thought of that pain. He would most likely need to heal Kaguza and himself by the end of this spar. His opponent took no time in deciding how to attack again. He sent forth his dragon once again as it roared with electricity and headed directly for Strafe. He didn't have much time to dodge, so he decided to let his staff do the work for him. He let go of his staff as it stood directly up on the ground and vaulted himself into the air from the top of it. The dragon crashed into the ground as Strafe was shot up into the air, barely dodging the dragon in the process. Such a tactic would not work again, and he knew it. He had to take the fight to Kaguza and fast.

It seemed that the Sannin had a similar idea as he soon appeared above the dragon as well with what seemed to be an earth hammer. He grimaced as he knew he had to do something quick before the hammer struck him into the wall. He racked his mind for an option as he though of a jutsu that had helped him many times in the past. As he started to decline, he created a mirror of ice a few meters in front of Kaguza, hoping to throw him off in some way. The ice shown brightly and had multiple layers to it to keep it from breaking easily. He knew the jutsu would not keep the man at bay for long, but maybe he would slam into it. Strafe descended to the ground a safe distance from both the dragon and Kaguza, or so he assumed. He had no time to think of such a thing. It was a desperate time, so desperate measures were called for. He landed with a focused mind and body as he immediately focused his chakra for a move he had never used in battle previously. "Adjust to this, my friend." Strafe said simply as snow started to fall on the ground in the arena and outside of it in a wide radius.

It was a success, as he felt the air chill around him to a impressive temperature. He focused back on Kaguza and what his next move would be, keeping an check on the dragon as well. He glanced back and forth as he tried to think of what he could do in the situation. He would wait on his opponent at this point. His movements would be slowed to the point where Strafe could dodge them, or at least try. The next few moments would decide the outcome of the match. The fact that he had done this well against the Sannin was enough to strike pride in him. He was satisfied.

Kaguza's raiton dragon rushed Strafe only to be avoided as his opponent pole vaulted over the creation with his staff. Crashing into the wall of the arena behind the Aisu ninja, his staff fell to the ground. A simple and effective way to dodge such a large attack, however against an opponent such as Kaguza, it was also a mistake. Continuing his follow up attack, Kaguza jumped after Strafe, his earth hammer in hand. The distance between the two became obstructed however, as several mirrors of ice blocked a direct path to his opponent. Wanting to test his new jutsu, Kaguza landed flat against the first mirror in his path and struck it with his earth hammer instead. Vibrations sped through the object, but gave no sign of giving way. This was the first time Kaguza had seen the ice mirrors of the Aisu clan. It was slightly surprising to him that Ayakashi didn't use such a technique in their battle. Creating a barrier to impede a direct path, Kaguza quite liked the idea.

The created ice mirrors gave his opponent enough time to perform his next attack. The temperature inside of the arena began to fall quickly. A coldness beginning to grip his body. Even his breath became visible. Those with a Kekkei Genkei truly had unique abilities, however Strafe's didn't warrant a fear as the Mizukage's did, though the difference in rank could easily state why. His attention returned to Strafe's dropped Bo staff, it was his first rule not to allow an opponent to control your weapon, Kaguza would make it clear why such an idea could be so important. Jumping off the ice mirror, he could feel his legs not give their full strength due to the cold. With the aid of the dragon in his hand, he moved at his full speed even through the increasing cold. Even mid air, he wasn't going to waste an opportunity to launch an attack. Sparks of electricity jumped from his earth hammer as he hurled the make shift weapon. Attempting to throw it with a curve and get around the mirrors to make his opponent move, the weapon spun into an electrical disk. On impact the weapon would be destroyed and all the raiton energy channeled into what ever medium it hit.

Gracefully Kaguza landed next to the head of his initial raiton dragon, Strafe's staff just at his feet. Reaching down, he picked up the weapon. His familiarity with Bo Staffs wasn't enough to effectively use it against the jounin, but just having the weapon in his hand was a danger itself. Holding the staff above his head a cloud of jutsu smoke enveloped the weapon. The smoke quickly dispersed revealing that it was no longer a Bo staff, but a replica of his war hammer Temper. This was one of Kaguza's most used jutsus, it allowed him to transform any weapon in his hand into another, similar to the academy transformation jutsu. One difference between his mimicry jutsu and the academy transformation, was that the mimicked weapon was a perfect physical replica. This would be the first time, he'd use his dragon jutsu to it's full power. "You've failed Rule One." Sparing no time, electricity began arcing from the second war hammer. This time however, Kaguza wanted to intimidate Strafe. The head of the hammer began letting out it's chain, creating a second raiton dragon. The fact stood that at the very beginning of the battle, had he taken the staff from Strafe, he could have had two dragons at his command. The pair of dragons released a fearsome roar as they moved to flank and strike at the Aisu ninja from both his left and right. With two dragons capable of incredible damage, Kaguza had to remember not to maim his opponent as he was an ally. The amount of chakra required to maintain such jutsus was beginning to take it's toll on him as well.

His opponent was full of surprises, that was for sure. As the Sannin bounced from the ice mirror, he threw the doton hammer in a curved direction towards Strafe. It seemed to spin faster and faster, and crackled with electricity. He had enhanced the weapon with raiton chakra once again, or so it seemed. However, Strafe wasn't going to run this time. It curved from the right side, heading towards Strafe's ribs and side. He immediately slapped his hands to ground to create a jutsu he used proudly. A huge wall of ice appeared to the right of him, blocking the attack completely. The sheer size of the wall covered the entire dimension of the arena. Strafe had basically made the battlefield even smaller. Great. He knew that something like this would only be a disadvantage for him, or so it would seem. He immediately scanned back to Kaguza, watching as he did something that Strafe should have thought of himself. The man was truly a weapons master, as he stuck by the rules that he gave and punished those who didn't via example

As Strafe watched the Sannin's movements, he noticed Kaguza landing beside his staff and picking it up. Strafe grimaced as he remembered the first rule of the weapons training that seemed like hours ago but in reality happened just minutes ago. He grimaced as he knew that it would be an advantage for him, regardless of how he utilized the staff. He stared the Sannin down as he transformed the staff into an exact replica of his hammer. That was impressive. To be able to transform any weapon into one of your choosing is a powerful ability, one that would serve Kaguza well in the future. He made sure to watch the Sannin arms, as he controlled the dragons with them. Another surprise then came as the transformed Staff of the Hurricanes duplicated the same jutsu that he had been dodging forever. The enemy now had two raiton dragons with extreme power. It wouldn't be as bad if the dragons were made of any other element, but Raiton happened to be quite effective again his ice techniques. He snapped out of his train of thought to see a movement from his opponent. It was now or never.

Strafe immediately dashed forward, hoping to move fast enough to dodge the dragons before the attack was finished. He immediately started spitting ice darts in the process, shooting a dozen of them at Kaguza. He made sure to make some distance between each dart, giving it a shotgun effect as the darts spread out to cover more area. Hopefully, they would be harder to dodge that way. To follow up, he also created six ice spears from below his opponent, giving them space between each other as well to limit his dodging ability even further. Directly after the two jutsus were completed, He heard the cracking of the dragons behind him and the crash of of ice as Kaguza's dragons destroyed his wall. They landed with a crash as Strafe barely dodge them, though the resounding mini-explosion of excess raiton chakra sent Strafe to his back and away a couple of yards. He wasn't burnt, but he was sure he bruised a couple of bones and possibly tore a lower leg ligament in the fall. He didn't realize that when the two of them met, excess electricity would be given off. That was a mistake that would probably cost him the sparring match. He slowly rose to his feet and scanned for Kaguza. He lowered his down to his leg and activated a very basic medical ninjutsu. His hand started to glow green as he healed the leg. Regardless of his opponents condition, Strafe was almost done. Another attack like that and he would have to forfeit the spar. "Give me a second to heal myself. Based on how much I can heal of this, I might be done." He said as he finally spotted Kaguza. Hopefully, his friend and ally wouldn't be merciless and attack at such a time.

As Strafe stood there, healing as much of his injuries as he possibly could, he knew that he was done. He was running low on chakra and he didn't have any techniques left that the man had not seen. He had been defeated. It was as simple as that. He stopped the Zenchi Te no Jutsu with a sigh and turned to Kaguza. "I concede. You did a wonderful job. I hope to see you again soon!" Strafe said with a smile as he bowed to his superior. He dispelled all of his own jutsu and waited until the Sannin dispelled his arena jutsu. He trotted over to Momaru with a sigh. As he looked into the lion's eyes, all he could see was the pride of a parent. "You did very well against a Sannin. I'm proud." Momaru said as he lowered his head. Strafe climbed on the beast's back and waved to his long-time friend.

Momaru turned and ran in the other direction. It was time to get to a hospital and rest. He knew that he wasn't injured badly and could probably take care of it himself, he just always wanted to be sure. You never know about injuries for certain. Anyone in the medical ninjutsu specialization could tell you that. "You know what? I will be a Sannin one day." Strafe said to Momaru as he thought of the battle that just took place. He might have even come out on top, had Kaguza not been so well versed in Raiton. Raiton happened to be his ice release's biggest weakness. Next time they met, he would be sure to be prepared for such an occasion. "Of course you will." Momaru said in confidence as they exited the swamp and headed for the village. It was destiny, after all.
