Nagare and Horui stood atop a tall building in Kumogakure, smiling down at their surroundings. The clouds in the sky weaved around the rocky mountain that served as a foundation for the village, and the sun overhead felt within reach as its rays shone down on them. They were having a bit of a competition. Are you ready? Horui thought with glee, determined to win. Nagare nodded. They both took a step forward, so that their bodies were propped against the edge of the ledge, facing down at the ground below...

Nagare yelled, "Go!" and they took off running down the side of the building, using Supernatural Walking Practice. Horui moved slightly faster, gaining an advantage of a few inches, and he reached ground level first. A few civilians were watching them with surprised faces as Horui jumped with joy at his victory. "Fine, you win that race."

Walking along ground level, with sun shining behind him, Rui was glad for the fact that the blinding light was not directed towards his eyes at the moment. Deciding to go for a walk, as he had nothing better to do, he walked the streets of Kumogakure no Sato, with the glaring eyes of the citizens of the village continuing to follow his figure like always. Ignoring the piercing looks, Rui continued leisurely along the way.

Slowly, and oddly enough, Rui felt the looks off of him disappear. Stopping in his tracks, he turned to face the direction everyone else was looking. It seemed like a good idea; however, the glaring rays of sunlight began to affect and blur Rui's vision. Though what he could make out was two figures racing down the side of the building and landing on the ground, seemingly unaffected. As people continued on their way, he stood there, trying to make out the figures.

"Arrrg" Kenji growled as the sun struck his pupils as he walked out of his favorite diner. He was now equipped with the fuel he needed to tackle his day. Kenji was highly disappointed by the weather and how it was seemingly becoming more unpredictable by the day. The heat that radiated from the sun did send a comforting warming sensation across the surface of the genin's face. After a few moments of walking through the streets of Kumogakure, he realized that the natural flow of the village was irregular and there had been something that had stole their attention.

Kenji used his speed and agility to quickly maneuver through the crowd to the front, Kenji was driven more by curiosity than to make sure everything was fine. "Wonder what has these fine folks gazing in the distance." Thinking as he was now far from the crowd and it was him and another guy that had approached the skeptical the closest. Kenji was only able to make out the silhouette of the person that had also taken notice of whatever was going on. Kenji looked up and could make out two figures running down a building, the two persons were now distinguishable as shinobi by their obvious utilization of the Supernatural Walking technique. "What are they doing?" He had stopped in his tracks and was the furthest out of the three others from the action and was patiently waiting to gather more information or maybe just become acquainted with them. A strong gust picked up and blew his blue hair wildly; with it came a sheltering cloud that sealed away the sun's light. Kenji was now able to discern the details of his surroundings.

Nagare scanned the crowd with his analytic vermillion eyes. There were about 12 people standing around them. Some of them were cheering, others just stood in amazement. As if they'd never seen a shinobi before. How pathetic of them, considering the Supernatural Walking Technique was as common  as it was. Horui noticed a kid with teal blue hair first, seeing as his appearance was far more interesting than that of the others. He approached the boy and waved, his unusable vocal chords straining to say "hi", but to no avail. Nagare gave the kid a quick once-over; he was the exact same height as Nagare was, yet he was armed with a variety of ninja tools, basically making it known that he was a shinobi as well. He didn't look as surprised as the rest of the people, either.

The only tools that Nagare and Horui held were scrolls and a few knives, and they were wearing casual clothes, so maybe people didn't think they were ninja, which would explain the surprise. He shrugged off the rest of them, saying loudly "Go home. We're just training, we're shinobi. Nothing special here." The rest of the people obeyed and scattered away, half-offended at Nagare's tone. He turned back to the kid, and stood alongside Horui. "And what's your name, kid? You look like a shinobi, too." Nagare wished that he had brought his hitai-ate with him today; it was sort of like a badge of honor to him, to show his pride in being a ninja when he was in the presence of others. He awaited the kid's response patiently.

After a few moments, Rui felt a presence next to himself. Though he couldn't see clearly at the moment, Rui was able to see faint outlines of the individual. Traces of a teal coloured blurred in with the colour of the individuals skin. He had posed him a question, asking about what was occurring, though he provided no answer to the question. Hearing a voice that there was nothing to see, something he couldn't do at the moment, Rui promptly turned around in order to go along his way. With nothing planned for the day, Rui felt just walking for a bit would certainly be better than sitting at his apartment doing nothing at all.

As Kenji could now make out the figure that had garnered the attention of several civilians; he could see the guy's crimson eyes scan him. He went on to announce that he was a shinobi and stated his purpose for his little antic, which successfully caused the attention that was set on the two of them to dissipate. He could now see the kid that was standing next to him, and he was beginning to head in the opposite direction following the orders given to him by one of the two shinobi. However upon taking his glance off the blonde haired boy; the shinobi that had barely reached the ground first approached enacting a greeting gesture. Kenji's hands caressed his waist that had his ninja equipment, despite his subtle defensive response Kenji flashed a slight grin and reciprocated the jovial shinobi's wave with a nod of his head. Then he heard the other one who resembled the eagerer of the two uncannily. "Twins" "And what's your name, kid? You look like a shinobi, too." Kenji had seen his fair share of identical twins but it was still a sight he suppose.

"The name's Kenji." He didn't bother to answer the other question referring to his profession as the stranger had obviously deduced as much. The lean stranger had black relatively long hair. He wasn't sure what to make of the two shinobi yet, so far he was a little perplexed. The one that seemed the friendlier of the two, didn't speak, and the seemingly more distant sibling did. Kenji had a few assumption and theories to why the roles were reversed; then again the correlation Kenji had made was a generalization, and not free of variation. In effort to present himself as being more friendly than what he was currently leading on, "Nice chakra control, pretty impressive running straight down at that speed." He directed the complement towards both. Hopefully his attempt to be urbane would be recognized as he also removed his hands from his waist and offered the one who had yet to speak his hand. "I take it you two have names as well?"

Nagare and Horui looked at each other for a moment before looking back at Kenji. Nagare replied for both of them. "I'm Nagare Sōseiji, and this guy next to me is Horui, my, uh, 'twin'. He's mute, so..." he trailed off, noticing the short boy near Kenji looking quite disoriented. Nagare walked past Kenji and placed a shoulder on the boy's hand. Horui scratched the back of his neck, tired from the running down the side of that building. Nagare calmed down a bit at noticing that the sun seemed to be blinding the kid, and it was nothing serious.

"Short stuff! Are you alright? The sun hurting you?" he said, softly. It was out of his nature to be so kind to new people, but why not? He was in a good mood, since his arm was no longer broken and he was closer to Jounin than ever before.

Upon a shoulder halting his movement, Rui turned ever so slightly to stare at the individual who stopped his movement. The comment about his height 'short stuff came off as an insult to Rui, thus a gleam in his eyes sparked up. His concern about his eyes passed through Rui as quick as it was said. With a quick shrug of his shoulder to remove the lingering limb on his shoulder, Rui turned to face the man. A curt "No" was the simple response out of Rui.

Nagare huh, and the one that noted to be mute was Horui. Kenji looked mildly interested at the pairing. Kenji had disregarded the short blonde boy but Nagare hadn't as he hurried to grab the shoulder of the boy as he noticed that he was being afflicted by the sunlight supposedly. "Sensitivity to light" Kenji made a mental note. The defensive boy shrugged Nagare's hand off his shoulder and responded with a vehement "No". Kenji smirked at the gumption of the guy. Kenji shifted his body to get a better look of the proceedings between the two. Kenji shot a glance over at Horui then back at the blonde kid. He was sure that the boy had gathered his and others' name; but Kenji did not want to insist on conversation with someone who did not welcome it. He was the type of person who accepted people for who they were, and let them be. The guy appeared to have somewhere to be or just didn't want to be bothered so until shown otherwise he would let the guy go on about his business.

Nagare almost blew it when the blonde haired guy just shrugged off his shoulder with a forceful "No" escaping his mouth as he stormed off, continuing in his original intended direction. Horui held him back, thinking, Calm down. He's just a kid. Nagare smirked at Horui and shoved a hand out, pushing Horui back. "Shut up. That 'kid' was just being an ass to me." he said aloud, before continuing after the boy. Horui urged to follow, but motioned for Kenji to come as well. He figured that if Nagare was going to try and attack this boy, Horui would need back up.

Nagare kept a steady pace as he followed the blonde boy down the street. His haphazard form in walking only showed that the disorientation from light or whatever it was that was bothering him was only growing worse. It was about 4 PM, so they still had a while before sunset, and it was pretty bright out. Nagare called after him, having grown a bit less frustrated. "Hey! I'm sorry for whatever it is I've done. I assume it was calling you short stuff that got you angry, and I apologize deeply. Just, hey!...be careful! You're walking far too quickly and I know you can't see..." his footsteps evened with the boy's and he grabbed his hand gently.

Apparently, the rude person, Nagare, resumed following after him. Remembering his encounter his a female kunoichi just days prior, a turn of events that started off a little hostile then turned friendly, this same situation had seemed to apply today. Resisting the urge to sigh as the male continued following after him and the showed concern for his vision, Rui had to resist a little smirk growing on his face. Most people didn't know about the exact conditions of his vision, nor could they comprehend, but he usually preferred if it was left alone.

Stopping in his tracks, Rui decided he may as comment on the concern about his eyes. "Thank you for your concern, but I can see perfectly fine." Which he could at this exact moment, due to facing away from the source of the sunlight. Deciding to use the words Jishin had once used when speaking to him, Rui spoke in a calm tone that held no hostility. "Besides, you should just join the herd." Really, he didn't know what compelled him to use those words; maybe because the older female had said that she had other friends, maybe he could use this as a connection to find out who they were.

Nagare seemed offended by the boy's words and demeanor and continued after him, Horui signaled for Kenji to follow them. Kenji assumed that this Nagare fellow had a bit of a temper and Horui seemed mildly worried that Nagare might attack the kid. Kenji was not one for unnecessary violence so he followed to make sure everything went smoothly. An apology was given to the blonde haired kid; and the boy replied with a statement Kenji did not understand, the statement seemed a bit out of context. "Besides, you should just join the herd." Kenji looked at Horui and shrugged his shoulders, as he didn't understand the comment, he looked for some gesture from Horui as to if he knew why the kid said it.
However, the tone of his voice indicated he was no longer upset at Nagare's choice of words; so the tempers would most likely simmer down.

"Thank you for your concern, but I can see perfectly fine. Besides, you should just join the herd." Nagare had no idea what this meant, but the kid still seemed to be a bit less angry now, and he had stopped. Horui caught up with them and was standing there, waiting for what Nagare would do. Nagare felt obligated to make up for what he had said to the boy; it wasn't normal for him to be so apologetic and caring, but the events of the last week and the development of his relationship with Jishin had given him a softer side.

"I'm not sure what that means, but I'm just trying to make sure you're OK. You look like you're in pain, or disoriented or something, but if you insist you're vision is fine, I won't argue. Let me properly introduce myself; I'm Nagare Sōseiji. What's your name?" Nagare said, in a soft tone. Between this boy and Kenji, he was being rather sociable today.

Staring at the now apologetic, seemingly older male, Rui turned to face him. His eyes were shadowed by the figure of the man who introduced himself as Nagare Sōseiji, thus relieving his eyes. The sudden change in personality seemed odd, something that had occurred to him once in the past before. People acted nice just to get something, then suddenly show their true colours beneath all of the acting. Rui was a bit skeptical, though showed no signs of it outwardly. "My name... is Rui Abe." Keeping his answer short, Rui looked over at the teal haired boy, then towards the identical figure that looked exactly like Nagare. Not saying anything, the question in the air was clear, asking for a name of the unnamed twin.

The blonde haired kid seemed to be satisfied with Nagare's apology. He in turn gave the group his name, "My name is.... Rui Abe" he didn't directly ask the name of Kenji and Horui; but it was clear so Kenji decided to introduce himself as well as Horui, "Nice to meet you Rui, my name is Kenji Chikara and this is Horui Soseiji. As you've probably noticed, they're twins; and Horui is mute." It was nice meeting some new people Kenji thought to himself. Kenji looked at Horui as he introduced him as he felt a little weird, he figured it was usually his brother that introduced him to others, but oh well. The entire group was finally calm and cooperative. "Now that we're all playing nice, were you and Horui really training? If so, what?" Kenji posed the question to continue the dialogue until something more active or appealing presented itself. Kenji forgot to ask Rui if he was a shinobi; he assumed the small kid with the light sensitive eyes couldn't be, he was sure Nagare would ask or Rui would offer the information willingly.

"Well, not exactly, Kenji. Just basic chakra control training, simple stuff. Not training, just kind of exercise." Nagare said as Horui waved to Rui with a smile. He found this kid interesting; his hair was a blonde that was uncommon in Kumogakure; not as uncommon as the teal that tinged Kenji's locks, but still enough to attract attention. Although taken by the rare appearance of these two, Nagare's interest was still running thin, and he wanted to go for a jog (as was planned with Horui before the preceding events). "Okay, it was nice meeting you two, but Horui and I are going to continue our exercise with a jog. I guess we'll see you around." Nagare said with a half smile before turning around. Horui lingered for a moment, waving good-bye to the two...
