Sōdaina Borudā

Sōdaina Borudā

The Bald shinobi had just entered the bar from the street, he had just gotten done with posting a small note on each member of squad three's door. The note stated as below:

Spoiler:

Smiling the Shinobi waved over to his old friend, and bartender, Doroba a stocky man with short black hair, and a constant demeanor that insinuated that he was aggravated. Moving over to the Bar Boruda addressed the situation with the new headquarters "I'm supposed to be picking up a key for the room upstairs." Doroba reached under the bar pulling out a small manila envelope, inside of which was a set of keys to the upstairs room. Taking the envelope Boruda moved behind the bar and to the staircase which lead to his squad's headquarters.

Unlocking the door Boruda observed his surroundings, a dust filled room which held a rectangular wooden table surrounded by four chairs, toward the back of the room was another bar-counter, although this one was devoid of alcohol a situation which Boruda would remedy once he had a little spending money. There was also a private restroom, and a set of three booths on both sides of the room the padding on all of which had been stripped away long ago. The room for lack of a better word was just a bar, atop the other one. Obviously they hadn't gotten enough customers to have need for such a thing, allowing for Squad Three to rent out the area.

With a smile still plastered upon his face Boruda made his way to the table, wiping away a bit of dust that had accumulated due to neglect. Pulling out one of the side chairs he once again quickly wiped away the dust before sitting and awaiting his squad mates to enter the room.

Eiji woke up with someone putting something on his door. Eiji was not concerned about it, but it was not everyday when someone came and visited him. He was a still a little paranoid due to the fact that the town still did not accept him that well. Throwing on his clothing and grabbing his tricourner hat he spun his hat on the tip of his finger and flung it in the air, it landed perfectly on his head as he walked toward his door and opened it. He pulled the note off his door and looked at it. "Oh yea, forgot new team and things like dat." Sodania, must be one of the new people placed in his squad, he hoped that the new guy could keep up.

He took one last look at the note and realized that the meeting place was now in a bar. Fitting, especially for the fact that Eiji drank like a fish, and Kaguza would probably drink an ocean of booze. He wonder if that booze would be supplied or not. He crumpled up the note and threw it on his bed. He set off for the bar shortly afterwards.

Walking to the bar was not hard at all, he knew where the bar was. Mainly due to the fact he visited all the bars around here frequently. Walking into the bar he noticed a stocky man there. "Oi Doroba, lookin for some ninjas that be around here. Where they at." Eiji grumbled towards the man as he puts on money on the counter for a drink. The man pointed up the stairs and gave Eiji his drink that he payed for. Walking up the stairs sipping his drink he noticed that he was not the first one there.

Smiling at the new person he went up to a chair and blew off the dust that was on it and proceeded to sit down and kick his feet up on the closest table. "Aye, who ye be?" He grumbled out. He took drinks out of his mixed drink as if it was water almost.

Tsuneko

Tsuneko

Tsuneko had been notified of her assignment to Squad Three, the Heavy Assault Squad, but hadn’t thought too much of it, besides wondering if someone had seen her and Kaguza’s recent spar and had thus decided that her Kekkei Genkai would be more useful in this squad. Since returning to Kirigakure after the fire, she had been assigned to something like three different squads with as many different leaders and had yet to meet with any of them in that capacity. This would be her fourth placement, and she assumed that it would be more of the same. Fortunately, she had found a training partner in Kaguza Myugan, for training solo had proven to be not as effective as she had hoped. Therefore, when she found the note on her door indicating that she would meet today with her most recent squad, she was rather surprised and felt an odd mix of nerves and excitement. She did not recognize the name on the note, which added to the mystery of it all. After being shuffled around multiple times, she hadn’t wasted time trying and track down the names of the other members of this particular team, and with the first one she learned of being an unknown, she assumed that the other two might be new to her as well.

Although she was eager to make a good impression, there was actually little for her to do; she always dressed neatly and carried herself well. Donning her favored outfit for general missions and training, a fitted but sleeveless crimson shirt and a short charcoal skirt over a pair of black shorts, she tied her forehead protector over her Kaguya clan marks, a habit, and attached her medical kit to her belt. The message was vague, and she didn’t know what this meeting would entail; however, as a medical-nin, she felt that it was her responsibility to carry the mundane tools of her trade with her whenever she went out so that they would be able to fill in any gaps that her still growing repertoire of Medical Ninjutsu left open.

Actually finding the meeting place took the fifteen year-old longer than getting ready had. Due to her age and the minor shifting of the location of things in the post-Amaterasu rebuild, she had no clue where the bar was. Rather than heading straight there, she first had to stop and ask someone on the street for directions; after his little joke about her being a little young to be heading to a bar, he pointed her the right way, and she was able to find the location. Entering the building, the corner of the girl’s mouth twitched in distaste. The few patrons whom were present in the mid-morning were the epitome of her general dislike for bars; she had an issue with people whom preferred to drown their sorrows rather than do something to improve their situation. However, they were not whom she was here to meet.

The stocky bartender greeted her, “And what can I do for you, missy?”Even in a society where children were sent off to war, a teenager, whose body still leaned slightly more towards girlish than womanly, was an odd site in a bar. “I’m supposed to be meeting my squad here, on the second floor?” she answered, the last part sounding like a question itself. In answer, he pointed to the staircase, “Two of ‘em are already up there waitin' for ya.” Thanking him, she stepped behind the bar and headed upstairs.

She found two out of the, traditionally, three other members already seated. As she, perhaps, should have expected from a squad that was assigned to meet in a bar, albeit the second floor, she was clearly the youngest of the assembled members. Approaching the table that they were seated at, she found that she recognized one of the members. ‘Eiji’s a part of this squad? I guess it makes since, with his battle experience. I wonder if he’s the leader or if that’s this other guy.’ Her lilac eyes shifted to the 'other guy'. The man looked to be of an age with her kinsman, but between Eiji’s multitude of scars and this guy’s premature balding, it was hard to be sure. She could be wrong completely, and the leader could be the unknown fourth member; she’d find out soon enough.

With a friendly smile, she introduced herself to the stranger, “Hey there. I’m Tsuneko.” Habit of masking her clan name from the many whom didn’t trust the Kaguya, more than of any desire to mislead this man, led to her using only her given name in the casual greeting. After Amaterasu, she had resolved not to allow fear of prejudice to keep her from using her strongest asset, her Kekkei Genkai, and since they were on a squad together, he would likely see her use it sooner or later, anyways. After her brief introduction, she pulled out a chair and dusted it off with her hand before sitting and casually brushing some of the dust off of said hand with her other hand away from the table, although the table itself was rather dusty; it wouldn’t do much good, but there wasn’t a whole lot of options when meeting in a dusty, infrequently used room such as this. Her seat put the balding man on her right, and Eiji, whom she smiled at in greeting upon taking her seat, on her left; the empty chair across the table from herself… across the table that Eiji had his feet up on.

Kaguza

Kaguza kept a fairly regular training schedule. The beginning of the week he laid around the village, usually resting. The remainder of the weekdays, he focused on a mixture of drills and techniques. The weekends were devoted solely to endurance, this was usually a nonstop period of a single task. This weekend was nothing but weapon drills, it seemed fitting with his newly created War hammer. Returning home to his little shack, he had planned to simply pass out and begin a period of rest. It often served to harm fighters if they never rested. However upon arrival, Kaguza found a note on his door. Who would leave him a note? Plucking it from the door, he quickly skimmed it. Both his body and mind were fatigued, causing him to only pick up very few key pieces of info from the note. "empty second floor of the Kirigakure Bar." "Urgent" and "Sōdaina Borudā" were all he caught from the note. "Sodane Baruda, Sodiana Borada, Soda in a bar uddar." Feeling the fatigue of his training, his mind couldn't process the long name. The note seemed to want him to quickly come to an abandoned room of a bar to meet someone. Attempting to process the information he pulled from the note, his tired mind came to the conclusion that it was a love letter. "Holy crap, some one likes me! I better show up a little more presentable."

Changing from the dirty training clothes he had on, he put a clean set. His wardrobe was severely lacking in anything different. The final choice was rather or not to take a few of his weapons with him. Should he show up to something like this armed? It was likely that this person knew him to always have a weapon, it might seem strange not to have at least one or four. With careful choice, he would bring his newest toy. The largest of his growing arsenal, this weapon was special. "Temper" was it's name, the five foot six tall war hammer took it's place as the center piece on his back. Next his War fans and yawara took their usual place on his person. lastly, his chains held their place wrapped around his forearms. With his weapon selection chosen, he set out for what was a quick find.

Entering the bar, a few of it's patrons called out to Kaguza. The Myugan clan had always been well known through out the drunken community, how they always seemed to recognize a Myugan by sight was beyond reason or logic to Kaguza. Pushing a few of the drunks who wanted a drink aside, he approached the bar keeper. It was quite clear, that kaguza wasn't here to drink. Doroba simply pointed towards the stairway, "There all upstairs already." All? Did this person have friends that liked him too? Refusing to put any more thought to it, Kaguza simply made his way upstairs. Through the door, he found a poorly lit room with three people sitting at the table. Immediately two of the people registered in his head. Eiji sat with his feet up on the table, and Tsuneko was beside him. These two he knew from prior encounters, Eiji was the squad leader, who besides Kaguza now had an entirely new squad. Tsuneko was now his occasional sparring partner. However, neither of them had the name that failed to register in his mind, nor did they feel for Kaguza the way he though came from the note. A third man sat at the table, he was completely bald and in a business suit. Was this the person who posted the love letter? A flame seemed to ignite in his head over the discovery of a bald man leaving him a strange note. Quickly reaching for one of his fans, he hurled the closed weapon towards the bald one's head. Pausing for a moment only after launching a mild attack did he think back to the note. He had only skimmed it, perhaps there was more to it. A full read told him exactly what this was, a squad meeting. Sitting down in the probably only open seat remaining, he gave his greetings to the two he knew, completely ignoring the fact that he just attacked the bald man.

Several minutes passed, the Shinobi sitting alone at the table twiddling his thumbs in boredom thinking of going back downstairs for a drink. Unfortunately before he could put his plan into action a man, Eiji, entered the room causing Boruda to turn his head and look at him as he took a place at the table. He was the only member of the squad Boruda had gained information upon, well aside from the names of the others, one of the advisers at the academy had been kindly enough to give him a file upon him, of course the file was open to public access, so the only thing he really gained from it was a few pictures and a note of sorts detailing that he had a checkered past of sorts. He had also surmised, from the location they were chosen to meet, that the other members of the squad were probably heavy-weight alcoholics as well as he was.

Boruda quickly scanned over the man, with his frilly red jacket-blouse thing, and his relatively unkempt grooming he seemed to be quite the rogue; which was to be expected considering his past. "I be," he thought it would be funny to emulate how he talked "Boruda, the one who sent out the note, and the newest member of the squad." Boruda paused thinking of shaking Eiji's hand, deciding against it. He seemed far too casual for such a thing, "And you're Eiji Kaguya, I've read a little into you, as I'll be working under you for the time being." a slight grin crossing his face as he uttered the words working under you, they signified that he was officially a 'Real Ninja'. Squad and all.

Soon after a younger woman entered the room, in a momentary lapse of thought Boruda wondered why they had let such a young woman in, she couldn't have been a day over sixteen. Of course after his momentary lapse a light bulb shot into his head, she was clearly a member of Squad three. The name 'Tsuneko', entered his head as it seemed a bit more effeminate than 'Kaguza', his suspicion was confirmed as she spoke introducing herself. Giving the young'un a quick glance, her features best to be described as supple. Pale, with milky white hair and light purple eyes. She was pretty, in the traditional sense of the word, obviously too young to garner attraction, but still he was able to admire beauty in all the senses of the word.

Giving a curt wave Boruda replied to her introduction, "Yeah, I'm Boruda." feeling he needed to further elaborate who he was he continued "I put the note upon your door." as he spoke he felt a tinge on the back of his neck, something odd about the note itself, or well hers anyway. When they had told him of his squad they had given the full name of the other two members, yet not her own. Strange, although it didn't particularly matter.

Before he could speak on the matter it seemed something had been thrown at the back of his head, still new to the whole ninja-thing, and not expecting something like that to happen the item managed to blast him in the back of the head. The force drove his head into the wooden table the shock causing him to bite his lip, and the force busting his nose upon the table before his head shot back up. Still he recovered near immediately, a thousand thoughts shot through his head, all of them violent. Ignoring his baser instincts Boruda simply turned, now with a busted up face, to see his assailant, "Ah you shiri!" he yelled grasping his nose in attempt to stop the bleeding. Then the man had the audacity to sit, without an apology!...Holding his tongue Boruda simply stared as he the man sat, "So, you're the Myugan then." his eyes locked upon him, he who had just belted him with a damn war fan...
