Eiji Kaguya

Eiji Kaguya

D-rank
It was like any other day in Kiri, the grey sky loomed over Eiji and the people were running around still trying to revive a burnt town. Eiji looked out his window on his second story apartment, if you could call it that. It did not have any bedrooms and did not have anything special in it. It was just one big room and it had a hammock and a bed underneath, a kitchen and other normal everyday things. He sighed as he got up from his bed he was comfortably sleeping in. The sun was coming up and that meant he would have to rise with it too. It was out of habit now, he just did it everyday expecting to go to his crow nest to look for a unsuspecting sap who be in the same area as his crew. It has not been that way for a while, yet it still made Eiji almost feel homesick.

He got up and grabbed some breakfast bar. While eating it he quickly put on his eye patch that he wore everyday and slipped on his bandanna that kept his hair in check. Finishing the breakfast bar without touching it, he proceeded to get dressed the rest of the way, his shirt, vest and boots. Finally he grabbed his jacket and flung it into the air having it fall perfectly on him. His arm going through the sleeve and it having enough momentum to swing around and get the other arm in. He grabbed his his flash that he had and slipped it in the pocket inside of his jacket. He also grabbed his book, it was a pervy book, and it was old. Yet still effective as ever. He grabbed his hat and put it on twisting it to left and right to make sure it was tightly on. He lastly grabbed his waistband and put it on his waist like a belt. It had the symbol of Kiri on the where the buckle would be. He grumbled as he walked out of his apartment and toward the area he told his new team to meet after early morning.

He wanted to get this over with as soon as possible, he knew nothing about the team he was assigned. He was given files, but what are the point to reading those. He caught the name of each one, and if they wanted him to know they would tell him. He respected the fact that some people are trying to start a new and even get away from what their family name had given them. People were different, and could change. He was living proof of that.

He walked down the street that lead out of the town, he told them all to meet him at some well that was outside of town. It defiantly was not hard to spot, it was just a lone well in the middle of no where. The grass around it was about shin length, but was not tall enough to annoy Eiji. He had scouted out the area before he told them to meet him there, making sure it would not be to dangerous for them. It was just a simple meet and greet, or at least it was going to start that way. He was sure that if they were eager enough he would have to motivate himself and come up with some training idea. He, personally was not thrilled of the idea, but he was the teacher. As a teacher he had to do what he had to do.

He was defiantly there early, the sun was not even up enough to light the whole sky. The sky was pink with the grey clouds making it look like something out of a painting. He sighed as he started to think about himself again. He was apart of the Kaguya clan, and he had no idea how they acted. Sure he was his own person, but he did not want to give the other Kaguya a bad name. He was a man of women and he loved getting into fights, yet this could follow others in town. He would have to make a note and head the temple he heard about to see if anyone else was there. The only thing he knew about his clan is the more he used his bone abilities the worst the bone disease had a chance of getting. He restrained from using it often, but the fact most of his weapons were destroyed in the fight against his own crew made him think he would have to do it here to help with the weapon users in his group. He shuddered at the idea of using it, not because of the creepiness of his bones coming out and becoming weapons. It was the idea that he could get sick from it.

If he had them, he was getting kind of excited now. He was about to meet his crew, people that would be under his wing and he could teach them how to have a party and get outrageous. He was ready for them, and he waited for them patiently until the first one would get there. He was curious on how they would act, well he would defiantly have time to get some practice in before they got here. He slowly got on the ground and started to do push-ups and then followed by some Taijutsu techniques he learned from being on his boat. He defiantly need to work on it, his sword skills were way better than his fists. He planned to fix that today. He would take this opportunity and train them, he needed to be less lazy and get to it. He decided that he would change that today, or maybe tomorrow. He shook his head, he needed to stop thinking like that.

He decided on the spot that he would train with them today, maybe some simple catch the teacher. Picked up a rock, that would be the training today, get the rock. He tossed it into the air, it was easy to throw and manageable. He could hide it with ease, and he had ideas on how to train them better. He grabbed another rock and tried to crush it, no luck, not yet. He continued to practice he Taijutsu until people started to show up.

Kaguza

Kaguza

D-rank
Kaguza woke up a little late in the day, he received a message from the man assigned to be his squad leader the day prior. It had finally happened, he was to be part of a squad again and the claimed leader wanted to meet with everyone. It was perfectly reasonable to meet as a squad, though prior memories brought up a sense of dislike towards the idea for Kaguza. Putting the thought out of his mind, he still needed to perform his usual morning ritual. Getting up he showered and shaved, donning his usual attire of darker colored clothing before strapping the harness that carried his arsenal for him. His collection of weapons was growing, though the majority of the items were nothing special save for one. It was a strange day, when he found it, he was assigned to clean up one of the residential areas, unfortunately his group was short handed so he was alone. Moving a large pile of debris, he discovered the handle of a broken sword. Digging around further for it's missing pieces, he found a few. The broken item seemed like a puzzle to him, taking a brake he decided to try and fit the sword back together, though he had no way of returning it to one piece. Upon finding the right piece of the blade that fit what was left on the handle, he set the pieces together. Almost seemed like a miracle at what happened next, the broken shard of the blade fused itself to the broken sword, then another piece fused itself without warning. The remaining pieces flew to the blade and fused itself, reforming the sword entirely, even the pieces Kaguza had not found. The blade glowed with a strange light, and the jewel embedded in the hilt seemed to ring a bell. Remembering his studies, a weapon was desscribed in one, he struggled for a moment to remember the blade's name. The Sword of Kusanagi, the name of the sword. The name seemed to ring out in his mind after a few moments of trying. Knowledge of the blade flooded his mind after that.

The sword was the only weapon in his possession that held any kind of significance, as well as value. The sword unfortunately was also the only one he had no training on, every other weapon he owned, he used with a sense of expertise. Arming himself for the meeting took it's time. Kaguza even had a quick bite while grabbing weapons and setting them into their appropriate spots. Two sledgehammer, two war fans, two yawara, a pair of chained hand scythes, and a meteor hammer completed his usual ninja arsenal. Before leaving the door, he tied a gourd to his waste that swished with liquid and popped a few small pea sized pills into his mouth. These two items didn't serve as weapons, but more as novelty items for distraction and diversion. The gourd was filled with a highly concentrated alcohol and the small pills were concealed embers for igniting the alcohol. the combination was usually used to either blow fire or light his opponent on fire.

Kaguza began making his way through town towards the designated meeting spot. What kind of leader was he assigned to? What were his squad mates like? Would they be able to handle him if he lost control? If they couldn't how badly would they be hurt? Several questions flooded Kaguza's mind. Memories of his depression came, last time he was very lucky and wasn't punished. His father was able to convince several people to not punish him for what was part of his bloodline. Hopefully this squad would be able to handle themselves around him if he ever lost control. An idea popped into his head as he walked towards the meeting spot. What if he tested his squad. If he tested there fighting ability, then he'd be able to gauge rather or not they would be able to handle him, if he ever lost control.

Finding the meeting spot, he could see that there was only one man to have arrived. Most likely this was his assigned squad leader. The man was practicing his taijutsu, most likely out of boredom while he waited for everyone else to show up. Looking around he didn't see anyone else, apparently it was now only Ejji and himself. Kaguza had been given the man's full name, he was a Kaguya. His leader was a bone user, though beyond that he had no information on him. Watching his taijutsu for a moment, the man need practice but could clearly handle himself in a fist fight. Reaching his hand into the earth, Kaguza channeled his chakra and created an earth hammer. This was the perfect time to test his new leader. Pouring over a battle plan, the best one seemed to be a jutsu that he had yet to master. It was not his bloodline, but a Raiton based jutsu. Earth hammer in hand, Kaguza began focusing his chakra through his body and weapon. The jutsu would amplify his striking power enough to sunder bone and earth, if Ejji could hold his own against it, he'd likely hold his own against his drunken self.

His earthen hammer began emitting jolt of electricity, the rate of discharge increased as he focused his chakra. Finally the weapon all around glowed with an electrical field. Holding the charged weapon firmly in his hand, he continued to focus his chakra, if he was going to test the man, he'd go all out. "What I seek is the Thunder God. Strike." He called out as his jutsu had reached it's peek, and was ready to be used. The call was more to warn Ejji of his attack. Dashing forward, he moved at an increased speed towards Ejji. With his skill at taijutsu and the raiton boosted speed, Kaguza closed the gap in distance within seconds. Fighting with his weapon, he lashed out at Ejji. As the hammer moved electrical sparks trailed off and floated through the air. Kaguza swung out rapidly, trying to land as many potential hits as possible. His constant physical training over the course of seven years allowed him to begin an onslaught of attacks without stopping. A couple of minutes went by as his assault was called off, but not by a person. Any calls from Ejji to cease would have been ignored, but his hammer ended the jutsu. The strength of his chakra flow technique proved too much for the weapon. The weapon had reached it's limit and disintegrated in his hand. Breathing heavily, he looked over the man and began to judge him in his mind. He seemed to be capable of holding his own, as a reward he offered Ejji a drink from his gourd. "I'm Kaguza Myugan, have a drink."

The world exploded into light...

Solstice stood upon the precipice of a frozen world. Her eyes adjusting to take in the miasma of refracted light assaulting her from every direction. Stepping forward and turning to the left she saw a forest opening up before her, each of the tree's trunks seemed solid crystal, the branches eternal frost. Though there were no leaves... Looking down she noticed her foot swallowed by a fresh layer of crunching powder snow, which she could only assume was once the leaves of the trees around her. One foot after the other followed her deeper and deeper into the growth around her. her reflection ricocheting from tree to tree and warping like a field of mirrors scattered to the horizon.

There was no path, how could there be? Solstice however did not question the remarkable land before her, looking up to the sky as the morning sun birthed over the treetops cascading crepuscle light over the miraculous hillside. A solitary breeze swept down the road toward her lifting the snow from the ground and whipping it up into a gale which caught her in its centre. the stinging razor-sharp snow which collided with her was less like the snow on which she walked, and more like minute shuriken shaped like snowflakes. Guarding her face and eyes Solstice gasped as her breath became frigid, then she felt it.. Chakra.

Looking to her side she was shocked to feel the familiar sensation of Hyoton chakra, and not too far away at that. Guarding her eyes from the stinging pain the wind whipping up around her became harsher, and stronger. Feeling like she was about to be lifted off her feet she pushed harder against the wind, any sweat that would have crossed her face was frozen instantly before crumbling into a salty dust which disintegrated from her brow. Her feet beginning to falter as she gripped one of the trees for support. The razor sharp crystal biting into her hands and causing her to cry out sharply but she could not recoil. Recoiling would mean being swept away by the winds.

What seemed like hours passed, she clung to the branches of the faux trees pulling herself to her destination, toward the source of chakra. She could hear it now, a haunting subtle tune hanging in the air around her, seemingly ignoring the violent wind and reaching her ears all the same. The tune whispered a warning, though, Solstice chose to ignore it.

Pressing past the next tree, she was so close she could feel it. Until suddenly, stepping past the tree and reaching out into the emptiness of the white storm before her the wind cut out, and she slammed face first into the ground at her feet. Her elbows and her forehead aching. Even her frost resistant body was damaged by the intense chill which caused her to shake uncontrollably... Her focus began to fade, her eyes began to close, and her world began to dim.

No... dont give up... You cant give up... Soldier on... More... MORE..!

Solstice's eyes re-opened, looking out before her and seeing not wind, not bladed trees which bore marks of her own blood. There was a glade of crystalline blue flowers, but she felt something familiar from them. They were made of her ice, demon ice. Pressing her broken and torn palms to the ground she pressed against them, lifting off the ground in a forced press-up. Gritting her teeth and ignoring the spreading bloodstain from where she had been laying. Standing light headedly she rose her foot to move forward. The light of the flowers was strangely comforting in this wild, barren and forsaken landscape.

She found herself almost in a trance, stepping forward into the centre of the glade. Moving her gaze around her, there was nothing out of the ordinary, until she heard a breath behind her. Turning slowly, a large mirror of ice had appeared. Her own reflection staring back at her. Solstice gulped and prepared for the worst. She felt her bloodied hand reach out, against her will, as the bloodless pristine reflection reached out to do the same. Outstretching her palm Solstice stepped closer. At this point she knew something was wrong... This had to be a trick, a genjtsu, SOMETHING. Her mind panicking, trying to pry her away from the mirror with everything she had.

But she couldn't, he hand douched the Demon ice mirror. Her Chakra flared against her will as she touched it with the pulse of the demon ice corruption Jutsu. As it pulsed. She saw the image of herself in the mirror begin to corrupt. Her skin went black and frostbitten. Her eyes flared ice blue, and shone like their own moons. Then ice began to expand from her body, her teeth became sharp, spikes and ridges grew over her as the frost encompassed her reflection like a chitin. She heard the wind around her beginning to built up louder and louder and louder, until it became a low but thunderous booming sound in her ears.

------------------------------

Solstice's eyes snapped open. Her breathing erratic and forced. Raising her arm to her brow she looked around at the area around her. Crystalline sweat flaked from her skin and she looked to a black wound on the palm of her hand... She'd lost control of her Hyoton. Perhaps only for a moment. her eyes scanned the area, and she was relieved to find herself sitting cross legged on the roof of her house. She'd been there for some time, and the dawning of the sun was well underway.

She had fallen into trance meditating and attempting to hold her hyoton chakra out of balance, as is required for her Demon Ice Corruption. But the visions she had experienced... were something else. She felt a little stronger. Able to stretch her Hyoton a little further, tempering the cold within her skin, within her blood and strengthening her family birthright. But now was time for more practical training.

Stepping down from the roof, it was time for a little more practical training. She smiled, standing and stretching to the sky, before leaping from the top of her three story roof on the outskirts of the town. Touching down on the ground she took off at full tilt for the location of their training.

The Village went by her in a flash. As she came into range of the area before her. She stopped to see that there were two people sparring with each other in what looked like a rather brutal manner. Or at the very least a one sided assault. Stepping forward she waited for the attacks to end. Before waving to the two of them.

Hey you two, I'm Solstice Aisu. Nice to meet the two of you.

She smiled sweetly and talked softly, trying to shelter the black spot on the palm of her hand which robbed a lot of strength from her left hand, basically making it useless as a striking hand in general. But it could be healed with a little time and care from a medical nin.

Can I chime in on this training?

Yuudai

Yuudai

D-rank
Today is the day, the day he’ll meet his teammates and sensei. Hopefully today isn’t too rough of a day. Lacking any form of weapon to use, to replace his practice katana, Yuudai is left useless in terms of close range combat and would have to rely on ninjutsu if their sensei wanted them to have practice on the first day, not that he objected. It was just the circumstances that made him weary of such a thing. All he really knew about his team was his sensei’s name and their team number. With his usually clothing already on, Yuudai made his way out of his home and towards the backyard, to practice his accuracy with his ice needles.

He had a few hours to spare, and this was the only thing he could think of at the moment. Instead of going through his usual routine of conjuring the ice needles, aiming at a target, and repeating, he opted for doing the technique once, but with a higher focus of precision. Plus there was the added objective of not using up too much chakra, in case the chance that an actual practice where their skills would need to be shown occurred. He opted to take his scarf, tie it around his head, acting as a blindfold. Ninjutsu was his main specialty as it stood, and he felt quite confident in being able to his each training dummy, or at least two out of three, in the dead centre of their eyes.

Conjuring up the three ice needles, Yuudai faced the general direction of the training dummies. Standing still for a few seconds, registering the direction of the wind, and feeling for any nearby disturbances that would cause him to lose focus, he found that the wind was slightly traveling to the west, which would make his needles go off the mark and land towards the right side of the head if precaution wasn’t taken, and there was a lack of disturbances, besides the neighbourhood cat that always lazed about on the floor. Taking in a deep breath and raising his right hand up, with all three needles nestled between his fingers, Yuudai chose to move away from his comfort zone and start from the right, then hit the middle, and finally hit the last dummy on the right.

First thing first, he moves two of the ice needles in to his left hand, maintaining a single ice-shape senbon in his right hand. He knew the generally area where the heads are located, as they are just 2 inches shorter than him, so aiming in the approximate zone isn’t the difficult part, the difficulty is placed upon the speed he wants to achieve and hitting each target. Throw in factors from the outside environment and the task is made a bit harder than normal, but as a shinobi, the objective placed before him seems like childsplay, due to excessive amount of training that was provided with kunai, shuriken, and, on the occasional chance, senbon, his personal favourite.

With no further hesitation, and no lingering thoughts, Yuudai quickly throws the first needle at the dummy to the right. Swift hands quickly moved one ice needle from his left hand to his right. The object remained in the possession of his right hand for a slight twitch and then was promptly thrown at the middle target. For the last target, instead of switching hands, his left hand swiftly threw the last remain ice shaped senbon at the target to the left.

Untieng his scarf and returning it to around his neck, Yuudai prompted to look up and see the results of his work. The first one was located in the dead center of the target, right between the eyes. The middle target had similar results, though was slightly off and was just above the dummy’s right eye. The final target, the one he had the least confidence in, showed that the ice needle was directed and landed right where the mouth of a person would be. Content with the result of just one short exercise, Yuudai instantly turned around and headed towards the gates to the city, and then ultimately to the well.

His lack of a katana, due to a recent training incident, made him almost agitated at his late night practice the previous evening. The jitters of today’s meeting amplified his anxiety and his only solution was to practice. A practice that now basically left him defenseless. He lacked the funds to buy a new one for today’s practice and he refused his mother’s insistence of taking her money. This was his first step into the real shinobi world, a world where he cannot rely on his mother for every little thing possible.

Well, at least the day started off well enough for him. Well as in nothing out of the ordinary happening, yet and a relaxing time so far. Yuudai half expected himself to be the last one to the training grounds. As much as he hated tardiness, he had a tendency to put things off until he had no choice but to go with it. In this case, leaving at the last possible second in order to make it exactly on time. So he decided to take the faster way and use the trees to reach the intended setting.

To say he wasn’t nervous was an understatement of the century. He felt as if he would probably be the odd one out in the group in some form or another. He just hoped he would at least get along with his teammates if nothing else. Just hoping that they would accept him, even if he doesn’t come off as a friendly individual. If anything else, they would all be mean-spirited, not only towards him, but between each other. All in all, there was nothing to really lose in this situation, though the constant want of being able to get along was at the forefront of his thinking. This team would most likely be connected to him for the majority of his lifetime in some form or another.

Approaching the notified location, Yuudai could already sense a presence of a shinobi that was stronger than him, most likely, probably 100%, the leader of the team. Yuudai’s guard rose at that moment. Now that he was out of the city limits, and even within the city limits, anything and everything could occur. Passing it off as paranoia, Yuudai decided to jump down from the last tree, landing at the edge of the forest. He watched the individuals for a few seconds, not feeling anything threatening at the moment, he walked in to the clearing and stopping with a reasonable gap between himself and the others. The feeling of unease due to the lack of a katana was still getting to him, but he pushed it down.

“Hello. My name is Yuudai Aisu.”

He felt giving his name at this moment was more than enough information at the time. Besides, he really didn’t know how to come out any more friendly, besides adding the little ‘hello’. Though his voice did come off as detached, like always.

Posting Order:

Eiji was busy practicing his Taijutsu to much to notice the person flying at him. He heard the person say something before attacking which must have been a jutsu of some sort. Eiji was still learning exactly what a jutsu was, he knew the basic of one, from when he was training with some missing ninjas. That was a while ago while on a boat, where they said often "We don't have the supplies to teach you right." He was still a little mad at them for that, but that was the past. He now had to handle this smaller person charging at him. He loved the fact that the person was a vamped up and ready to go, but if Eiji was a really well trained like the ANBU dickheads this person may have ended up dead.

He did have to admit, the person was fast. Yet he was faster, and he knew this. He could tell that the person was using some technique of some sort to speed him up, and even though that was nice right now that would be problematic later on. 'You can't rely on your chakra so much in battle' he thought to himself. Especially if this was real fight, how much chakra did this person just blow right now? Clearly it was way to much. Kicking off the ground he could dodge each blow faster, yet out of natural instinct he took the rock that was in his head and threw it at the person's head. Where it bounced off and Eiji quickly moved to the side to catch the rock. The onslaught of attacks proved to have great potential and was a great thing to see. Sliding down to the ground Eiji almost did the split to dodge another attack, and then using his hands to push of the ground sliding back to where he was before. That was good Taijutsu work out and he knew that he was getting better at it every day.

He was hoping this person was on his team and not someone who just decided to interrupt him training. That would lead to some conflict and he knew it. He just wanted it to be a good day where he had nothing to worry about. It was suppose to be a simple meet and greet. Hopefully the picture person would come and they would get there photo done. That is all he really had plan today.

The onslaught finally stopped after a while and the person seemed to just stop out of no where. As if he was satisfied with what he saw. Eiji sighed as the person offered him a drink. He lost a lot of things when coming to this village, his flask being one of them. He really wanted a drink to parched his thirst right now, but he was in the middle of training and soon to be teaching. His listen to the name of the first person to get there. "Pleasure to meet ye Kaguza" He was really trying hard to get rid of his pirate accent, but he was failing miserably at it. He gave the person a sly smile that he should be trademarked for. Guys wanted it, and women had a tendency of swooning to it. "Aye I be takin that drink up for ye later. Just mean ye be buying." He was serious about it too, if the person was old enough to offer him a drink the person should be old enough to get in a bar right?

He noticed very quickly the other person coming in, it was defiantly female. He could hear the boobs jiggle, even if they were in a tight bar. He did a quick mental check with that, he needed to be a teacher. Teachers don't sleep with students, or at least that is what all the books told him. Her voice did not help when she spoke, it was almost as if an angel had spoken to him. Just like most females do, and it made him want to instantly enter flirt mode. "Aye welcome Solstice, nice to know we be havin at least on pretty lady on me team." He could feel the dedication from all the members. How long would this team last? He knew it would not last forever. He just wanted it too, give him more time to adjust to this type of situation.

The last member finally arrived, his voice sounding detached to the world around him. Reminded him of his old crew mate he hung out with all the time. He wondered if there was a reason why he was detached from the world. The last person like this killed his whole family, in a spur of a moment. Loosing control of his power that he had contained inside of him. "Ye be the last person ere Yuudai, yet ye be on time. So no harm be done. Even I be liking to be fashionable late most of de time." He said with confident, he knew that it was important to teach these people the first rule about a crew. Everyone was on the same team and had to work as a team to get the goal that they want done.

Now that the team was here Eiji decided that it would be time to introduce himself. "Me be Eiji Kaguya, not to be messin with the name Kaguza. If ye did not know, me be the pirate the whole town has been freaking about. Wondering why we be lettin some scumbag like me into this town and dis army. Ye can take it as ye will, but me job is to teach ye about how to be working as a team. Me be noticing that all ye want to be great, and seem to already progressed fast." He took a second to nod toward Kaguza "Dis be a great thing if ye don't cause yer mission to fail. Ye can have 4 elite ninjas that are best on der own, yet a team of 4 that be well trained will quickly take them out." He knew that from personal experience, when his crew was attacked by some Kiri ninja trying to prove there worth. Most people don't know how tight a pirate crew is, and this leads to most of there downfall. "First let get all ye to give a demonstration of ye techniques and powers."

Training Taijutsu C>B:

Kaguza

Kaguza

D-rank
Kaguza rubbed his forehead as he tied his gourd back to his belt, he didn't expect this man to bounce a rock off his head repeatedly during his attack. He could definitely handle himself when it came to Taijutsu, or at least getting out of the way. It actually bothered him that the man didn't seem to take his offense seriously, though he probably knew who he was upon sight. It was a slight surprise to hear that the alleged pirate that had been welcomed into the village was now to be his squad leader. Sero always struck Kaguza as a strange leader, even without the age in mind, but as kage he had improved the village more then Jurou had. Regardless of who Ejji was then or now, he was his squad leader, he also turned down his offer for a drink. Looking around Kaguza noticed that the remainder of their squad had arrived, he was unsure of just how much of the little fight they had seen however. A change in demeanor seemed to come over Ejji as he spoke to Aya, a much brighter and happier feeling, the man was likely an excessive flirt. The idea of his new squad leader being a flirt wasn't a bad thing, though it would likely cause problems since he started the moment he met the only female on his team. It would be unethical for a teacher to go after his student, even if they literally just met. After addressing Yuudai, Ejji gave his little speech, the man really did seem like a pirate. He wanted to see each his squad's abilities and techniques, this man may regret asking to see Kaguza's. Being only a demonstration Kaguza could show off his more toxic of abilities, though he'd have to limit their exposure to it, last thing he wanted was to his squad lose control by his own jutsu. Stepping forward Kaguza offered to go first, "I'll go first then." Putting just enough distance for the three of them to easily step outside the technique's range, he began to concentrate his chakra. "Let's all have a drink." Taking in a deep breath, he let out what looked like a very light steam. The same steam seemed to expelled from all parts of Kaguza's body as well. The steam looked harmless, however it was neither steam nor harmless. The vapor that exuded from Kaguza's body was his own tainted chakra. As the amount of chakra he expelled increased so did the size of the forming cloud around Kaguza's body. A powerful smell of alcohol extended even further beyond the chakra cloud's reach. The jutsu utilized the Myugan's almost toxic chakra to make his opponent's drunk the same way any Myugan would inebriate themselves. Those without training to handle this form of inebriation would suffer severally, by lack of; concentration, balance, clarity, as well as control over their own jutsu. he cloud of chakra around Kaguza had reached it's maximum range, with a radius of roughly 8 feet it was quite efficient for close quarter's combat. The jutsu could in theory could be manipulated by another wind jutsu to blow the chakra cloud around towards an opponent, though an enemy could perform the same action for their own benefit as well.

Quite proud of his alcoholic jutsu, he had other jutsu to display. A new idea came into Kaguza's mind, a combination between a couple of jutsu that he had yet to master. Clapping his hands together, he made sure not to face directly at his new squad mates. Several electrical sparks danced around his hands as he slammed his foot into the ground in front of him, raising a large slab of earth. Striking the large chunk of earth with a strong kick, Kaguza sent the earth flying forward. Only a moment after kicking the earth slab, he swung his arms out to his sides creating a trail of chakra connecting his hands. A bolt of lightning streamed across chakra trail, at the speed of sound the thunder came after. Aiming the concussive shock-wave produced by the lightning bolt, it dramatically increased the speed of the flying slab of earth, easily plowing through several trees it met along it's course of flight. The two techniques each had there own destructive powers alone, however this was the first time he had used the two in conjunction with each other. The results were quite satisfying. The first of the two, was one of his simplest jutsu, simply raise the earth and use it as a ranged attack. The second was more complicated, it actually required research to both come up with and get a grasp of control over. He had to build up a large amount of Raiton chakra, and store a positive charge in one hand while storing a negative charge in the other. Streaming chakra between the two upon release the arc of lightning produced would burn those unfortunate to be caught in the electrical portion of the technique. There was more to it though, the thunder always follows after lightning, the shock-wave produced by lightning was a means to increase the range of the attack, and force back anything in a directional cone.

Kaguza's display put a strain on his chakra, he had practiced all of his techniques however never in such a short period of time, though he felt proud about his display. With a smirk he looked towards his squad, "Who's next?" Having just displayed a fair amount of his own techniques, he was curious to see the rest of his squad's abilities. Having met Aya previously he had an idea of what she could potentially do, though knew nothing of her actual power. Yuudai he had never met and had no clue about his capability, the same went for his new squad leader. Hopefully, the group would be well rounded, even if they were meant as a destruction squad. If the group had at least every element to it, Kaguza would call the group balanced, though the truth had yet to be revealed to him.

Solstice gravitated toward the member of her family, though he was probably only a distant relation, the Aisu shared a long and bloody history with each other. A history which together had bought them closer as a clan, at least it was so in the eyes of solstice. As Yuudai appeared, Solstice wrapped an arm around him and greeted him like a family member, his skin felt normal to her, the chilling cold of his pallid skin did not seem to bother her as she gave him a quick embrace. Deciding to remain close to him for now, she turned to hang off the words of the person whom seemed to be their squad leader. Though, in analysing his tone, she became disappointed very quickly...

There was already one person whom had tried this with her, upon the arrival of a female, changing their demeanour in an attempt to court them, though it was unsuccessful and only resulted in a rather heated fight. It angered her slightly, what was she to these men? A piece of meat that was made to be nothing but admired for the assets of her gender? She felt her muscles begin to shake as adrenaline began to administer to every inch of her body, her eyes and posture of her head lowering in a vain attempt to hide her anger from the rest of the team. Shaking her head slightly in disbelief her long blue hair fluttered majestically over her face before, but before she knew it he had asked them to demonstrate their prowess. What jutsu they knew, and what skills they had already attained through whatever training and missions they had already done. Kaguza was up first, and though they had talked about their own abilities they had never witnessed each others. Solstice remembered the things she had said to him a couple of days before hand, and stepped into the radius of his drunken aura, Using the full force of her Demon Ice corruption, smiling at Kaguza, hoping he would remember what she had said to him before about always having his back And him not being able to hurt her.

The vaporous chakra as it impacted her skin froze, through it reduced the effect she had to hold her breath while she was this close to him, as when she inhaled she felt herself quickly become light headed and inebriated slightly. As they were both Taijutsu users, they would need to be able to fight close to each other to have each other's backs. It was important to begin devising a way to be able to accomplish this, so they could use the advantage of the aura to make them a whirlwind combination. Retreating from the vapour, she watched as a rock began to raise from the ground, she saw the lightning and quickly covered her ears as the sonic boom swept past her like a gunshot. The ability was impressive indeed. As his demonstration came to an end Solstice took a little time to isolate and freeze off the corrupting Myugan chakra within her body, allowing her to focus again. Having maintained Demon Ice Corruption technique.

I'll display my technique next. She said with a cheeky smile. Welling up her strength and washing away what Myugan effects on her concentration that she could in such a short time. She clenched her fists tightly welling up one of her surges within the tight grasps of her fingers, over her knuckles. She could feel the power of her hyoton chakra running over her skin like a sheet, stilling vibrations. The amount of Hyoton chakra she was using was dangerous... The power in her hands even more so, flaring up not in colour, but icy vapour began to expel from her skin in a thick cloud, like warm breath on a cold day multiplied a dozen fold. It was a shame she did not have a target other than the ground at her feet. The hyoton in her chakra began to overflow slightly with its visual cue, beginning to literally freeze some of the air around it giving off the impression that her hand had become at least as cold as dry ice. at least nearing -90 degree temperatures.

Raising her fist high, she then bought it down on the ground at her feet with an amount of finesse that was installed into her by being the kind of student she was. Falling to one knee and driving her hand toward the earth she felt the cold sweep past her. Amongst the intense cold, was a wave, like sound spreading and rippling outwards as far as she could make it go. From her punch about a meter of ice expanded from the location she impacted with, matching the extent of the wave. Crawling outwards as the ground began to freeze solid into the same ice which comprised the kekkei genkai of the Aisu Clan. Demonic Ice. The skill was rare, and not possessed by many of the Aisu clan, her father was well known for the ability in the Kirigakure. Though with his death the skill had not been seen until his daughter joined the ninja academy. She looked up to the others for the approval of the skill. But she had one more up her sleeve.

Using the slick on the ground she ushered people too close to her to back away a little. Creating traction on one of her feet. Wrapping her arms around her tightly and spinning rapidly, three hundred and sixy degrees. She unwrapped her arms and allowed them to stretch out in a 'T,' all the while focusing her chakra into her fingertips and palms like another one of her surges. Her hyoton chakra clinging to her skin, violently unbalanced. Spinning out of control and projected violently outward in a spinning release, which ripped the ice she had just made from the ground and pushed it away, re-freezing the ground once again in wake of the skill and pushing away everything within two meters from her with a rather substantial amount and sum of force. Solstice ground to a halt after her one spin having demonstrating her second skill. Exhaling and looking up at the others around her.

The skills are Called Demon Ice corruption, Allowing me to freeze anything I touch, and to a much lesser extent, what EVER touches me. She said looking to their instructor giving him that rather clear signal that she would rather him not flirt with her on such an open level. If she had of been able to use but one of these skills the last person whom she had fought she would have frozen solid as he had attempted to turn his body into water. Probably shattering the poor soul, though probably not killing him, he would have been in a substantial sum of pain and limited movement. Though, that being said, she wondered what would have happened if he attempted to reform when an amount of him was frozen in ice. An instant passed as those thoughts, little more than a dramatic pause was spent thinking as she opened her mouth to continue.

The other is my Hyoton rotation technique, which is more defensive than offensive. Though, it's pretty good for gaining some distance. She said standing to her feet and stretching high. interlacing her fingers and curving her limber body and spine to the heavens above her. Looking to the others for any sense of approval or something of the equivalent, though she didn't think she was the strongest in her group by a long shot. She did however think and feel that she bought a lot to the table as a team mate.

Yuudai

Yuudai

D-rank
Yuudai’s first impression of Eiji Kaguya, was one that he did not expect. He would’ve displayed some sort emotion on his face, when the squad leader openly flirted with one of his teammates, an Aisu, thereby a relative, but Yuudai kept his face apathetic. He knew their teamwork, as a collective unite, would need time and practice to improve, after all, this is their very first meeting. He understood Eiji’s point of view when it came to working as a team, though he had his self-doubts.

While one teammate, the male, Kaguza he believed the name to be, stepped up to demonstrate his skillset, the other, Solstice, drifted towards him. The contact between the two, made Yuudai tense up a little, due to not having blatant contact, or embraces, from anyone, barring his mother. Perhaps it was because they are related that Yuudai didn’t feel too rigid compared to another time when a stranger initiated contact. Deciding to act indifferently towards the contact, Yuudai chose to watch his older male teammate display his skillset. He didn’t know much about his style, though he knew it would be in the best interest of himself, and his team, if he learned how they would act in a combat situation.

The first thing he noticed, or rather smelled, was that Kaguza’s style would bother him until he got used to the smell of alcohol. Alcohol was something he never came to understand and knew he would prefer if he could avoid alcohol when necessary. The stench of the alcohol made him feel slightly light headed causing Yuudai to back away slightly, to try and get further away from the source of the smell. The next combination was rather impressive, though Yuudai remained unfazed by the resounding shockwave.

Next up was Solstice. Yuudai let a breath out when she was out of his direct proximity, getting back to what he considered ‘normal’ to himself. The feeling he got from her technique, was based around hyouton, one that felt odd compared to the standard hyouton chakra. His senses felt off, and the hyouton chakra, he didn’t know how he felt about it. Ignoring the abnormal feeling, he analyzed her technique, trying to figure out how they would be incorporated in a team sense. He knew he was the odd one out due to being the only one proficient in taijutsu, but he felt his kenjutsu put him up to par, with the added reach of the blade.

The odd feeling he got was from ‘Demon Ice Corruption’ from what Solstice just stated. He wondered if he had any immunity to it, due to being a member of the Aisu clan, though he didn’t feel the need to test this theory out anytime soon. He felt a small smile tug on to his lips, with what he saw skill wise. Yuudai felt he had the most to improve with due to trying to balance ninjutsu and kenjutsu.

“Well, let’s get started.” Yuudai muttered more to himself than to anyone else. Taking in a deep breath, he thought of how he would show his skills. Obviously, they would suffer due to his previous training accident, resulting in half his skillset be removed. The Hidden Mist Jutsu he didn’t feel the need to show, as most Kiri-nin were utilizing it anyways. “I apologize beforehand, my previous katana is irreparable, due to an, ummm…. training accident. Basically I utilize iajutsu. I shall show you my skills in ninjutsu. Two techniques don’t need a demonstration for they are simple. The Hidden Mist Jutsu and Ice Needles, which are basically senbon made from my hyouton chakra.”

Deciding to start off with Zone of the Frozen, Yuudai gathered hyouton chakra and began releasing it through the soles of his feet. Slowly, the ground beneath him began to be covered in a layer of ice, then suddenly it spread at an alarming rate, reaching its maximum distance allowed in all directs. The remainder of his current arsenal could be mixed in to one technique. Gather hyouton chakra in to his lungs, and then releasing it all out in one breath, two dozen ice pellets were released, then he quickly followed it up by clapping his hands together, causing a gust of air to speed up the pellets and increase the distance they covered.

“The Gale Palm technique I used has various purposes depending on the circumstances available. And I apologize again about not being able to display my kenjutsu.” With a slight bow, Yuudai walked off to the side, as the ice on the ground melted away and turned in to water, waiting for the former-pirate to address the next matter, whatever that was.

Eiji Kaguya

Eiji Kaguya

D-rank
Eiji slowly watched the others show off what they had to offer in the heat of battle. He slowly backed away from each one as they performed what they did. The Myugan did an area of effect attack, which was followed by a touch attack by the young lady Solstice, and last but not least Yuudai who did yet another area of effect on the ground and talked about the other techniques he could use. The ice was quick though and Eiji did slip on the ice, yet with his quick reflexes he managed up put his elbow and his fist on his head as he slipped away. Yup this team was destructive, to the enemies around them and to themselves. Eiji sighed as he began to speak.

"Aye, we be definatly one of da most destructive teams made right now in Kiri. To ourselves and to da enemies. We be killin everyone, and I be talkin about everyone. Yet dis is where we be getting the upper hand. Anyone be knowing why?" It was a rhetorical question and he did not expect an answer. So he continued after a quick breath in, "Cause we be knowin what we do, and how to work together to make it more power full." Eiji got out of his ridiculous pose by putting on hand and the ground and pushing himself off the ground with it, making him stand straight up balancing on his hand. He put his feet on the ground and stood up all the way. It was flashy, but he was flashy and that was him. Then he realized he still had the stupid rock in his hand. He had other things to teach now, he did not need the rock. He threw the rock into the well nearby.

"Now dat we be knowin yer abilities, how can we be utilizing dis in battle?" He sounded different now, not the light heart person that he started off with. He was actually being serious. These people he did not grow up with, yet he was being asked to train them and to eventually rely on them in battle. He was not sure if he was comfortable with this, but this was his new life.

He had already came up with a few ways himself on how to effectively use everyone in combat. He continued to talk after everyone input, "As ye can see we be lacking dem healing people. Med-nin yer callin dem right?" That had meaning, that meant that they would have to prevent damage to themselves and protect those who did get hurt. He waited until everyone was catching up to what he was saying.

He noticed off in the distance a man with a camera coming. Which lead to a long drawn out sigh, supposedly this was normal for new teams to do. Take a picture of them when they first meet, this usually was done when people were young. The fact it was an order to do this was stupid in Eiji's mind. "Aye I be forgetting bout dat. We be takin a photo today. Orders from people above me. Dat can wait though. The question be now, how can we use each other skills to destroy everyone in front of ye?"

Kaguza

Kaguza

D-rank
The squad as it stood to Kaguza was lacking. Though the purpose of their team was to destroy, and they were geared to do just that, they didn't seem balanced to him. Medical ninja aside, the squad held a weakness purely through there variety of elements. As it stood Fire was missing from the squad's abilities, though it wasn't much of a weakness considering least half the squad could utilize water. "If we can learn precision with our area of effect jutsus then our strength would increase. My steam jutsu, which was the area jutsu I showed off, can cause inebriation to those who take in the steam. The downside is that it will effect everyone around me, including myself." The thought of losing control on a battlefield came into his mind. "If one of us can use a wind jutsu, we can blow the steam around the battlefield and intoxicate our enemies."

A thought formed in Kaguza's mind, the squad had just shown their abilities however Eiji had yet to. "Hold on, you talk about knowing our abilities since we just demonstrated them. You've had to take the stage and show us what you can do. I know your proficient in Taijutsu from when I found you, but if we've yet to get an idea of your capabilities, how can we efficiently use each other in combat?" That was the truth, a table never worked as well on three legs compared to four. The camera man making his appearance was of no importance to him, though he would like a picture of the group at some point. The picture could wait till the remainder of the group has witnessed there squad leader's abilities.

Solstice was thinking for some time already about how their abilities would mesh together, she thought of her own abilities, generally focused around the power of Ice, or Hyoton chakra which was an advanced element Jutsu between wind and Water. Though her namesake as an Aisu ninja usually would entail that she was a rather potent Ninjutsu user, on the contrary it was not in her repertoire of skills at all, instead she had decided to take the approach of using chakra flow with the rather devastating Kekkei Genkai ability which increases the raw capability of the moisture which was widely considered in the world around them. But what she saw was a rather potent combination in a combat scenario. She envisioned them all walking on a road, in which they were attacked by an enemy to the front...

Her and Kaguza, with their leader proving assistance from the flanks would charge to break the front lines using The Myugan steam, as well as Solstice's own Chakra flow to minimise the effects of the steam by freezing it on contact, so long as she did not breathe it in, they would be able to whirlwind in the direct offensive. Kenjutsu operated the best with opponents spread. with their fists they would break the formation and weaken the resolves of the people in front of them, giving the nin-kenjutsu user behind them the ability to prepare his assault from the backlines. The weakened, and now possibly drunken opponents would either scatter to regroup or press on from all angles. Should they scatter, they would press the offence, but should they stay...

It would open them up for the blade of Yuudai, and allow them to be eliminated. Any complications would be able to be handled by their squad leader. This state, with two in the front, and one in the back also meant that with his ninjutsu, Yuudai would be able to cover them from unseen threats with his Demon Ice mirror technique, in case things should begin to get too hairy for them in the front-lines. The mirror would give them both a chance to tactically retreat even just a couple of paces to be able to re-entrench themselves in their offensive. The swiftness of the use of the skills, combined with how well the co-ordinated with each other would be like a phalanx, attempting to break an enemies charge before spearheading their opponents into nothingness. Of course this was only one of the strategies which circled through Solstice's head. There were others, but this seemed to be the safest.

Finally opening her mouth to speak solstice looked to and fro to her team-mates. Having listened to Kaguza, remembering his berserk nature, this formation would require them to become very close, to be able to read each other, and almost fight like mirrors. If he were to go berserk and attempt to strike her, she would need to turn that into an advantage, and direct as well as dodge the attack into another opponent. I think our tactic is relatively simple. Kaguza and I against the sign of aggression take the offensive stance, acting as both a shield to Yuudai as well as a means to break the enemy formation. The combination of my hyoton chakra flow will heavily delay the effects on myself so long as i do not breathe it in, as well as Kaguza's mist will distract and disorient our enemies long enough for Yuudai to strike from the backlines. Or pick off straglers with fast moving gap closing Kenjutsu, but should he use the latter option, he would retreat quickly to the back-lines.

We may not have anything directly in the means od healing, but we have plenty in the means of defence and even craft, to which even the reputation of our squads name can play to our advantage. The bi-product of both mine and Yuudai's jutsu freeze the ground around us, as well as myself making a jutsu which allows myself to skate on the surface of ice with chakra flow. To which i can teach any of you. Our defence lies with Yuudai's ninjutsu, namely the demon crystal ice mirrors technique. You could use it to shield us, or erupt the skill between us and an opponent likely to land an attack and guard for us. With all this in mind, it's just a matter of picking up each other's combat rhythm, and being able to mesh together. Additionally, should anything go wrong, you as the squad leader would be able to step in and aid in a way that could allow us to regroup and re-plan our approach.

She finished. Looking toward the squad leader, her eyes glimmering as she cocked her lips in a smile having explained one of the extents of her plans. her mind wandered once again to her Fuuma shuriken, the B rank weapon was something which she prided herself in, as well as her ability to use substitute jutsu churned her mind into the beginnings of developing another strategy, should Kaguza and their squad leader take the front line, the skill of the squad leader would be able to more easily handle a situation where the frontlines were outnumbered. Though he would have to contend with the intoxicating mist which made putting kaguza in the front lines so blatantly effective.

From this point Yuudai would take up his position as the supporting combative back liner. Though with the squad leader in the front lines, the pressure of having to defend two less experienced ninja would be removed from him as the most integral member of the prior formation. But it was at this point once this was established that Solstice entered the mix, should she be waiting in the canopy, or make herself scarce, she would be able to use various substitute techniques to enter the battle seemingly out of nowhere, from substituting with her shuriken and entering the fray only to have the shuriken meet its supposed mark seconds after. Or enter with a speed enhancing jutsu with her large freezing area of effect abilities from a flanking position. The rapid flanking attacks, even if they only dealt a minimal sum of physical damage would put enough pressure on the defending 'slash' aggressive opposition causing them to buckle and break under the harassment.

The other option would be to switch you with myself Eiji, which would allow you to take a large sum of pressure off the aggressive front line, which would make Yuudai's position easier, and put a lot more stress on me. As I would use my Jutsu, abilities, and superior speed to attack the enemy from the sides through both trickery and raw force. The combination would devastate any small group which stood against us. Though the regrettable factor about the alternative, is in any strategy is that Kaguza's Myugan mist jutsu is far too potent to NOT use in combat. Which would entail you to needing to train an ability to help you resist the effects without eliminating them entirely, or, even causing them to spread further than they already are. Though finally as a further added positive, should Kaguza happen to lose control in the front lines and become more of an adversary than an ally, you would be better equipped and skilled to handle him as a threat.

Solstice finished talking, and began to run scenarios through her mind, one after another, thinking of both of the plans as well as common situations they could find themselves in in correspondence with those stratagems. Seeing in which scenarios they would prove to be effective plans, and in what other situations they may prove more dangerous than effective, potentially leaving them open for more threats than they would like. Thinking about a battle against even numbers, the biggest stress is on the front line, in which having the squad leader there would do a little more than help slightly. Though having someone striking from the sides at random intervals does not merely hold them off for Yuudai's attacks, the enemy would become panicked and potentially routed after the fist couple of rounds. Their greatest weakness would be if their team were to become surrounded and outnumbered. In that scenario they would not physically have the manpower to be able to protect Yuudai long enough to provide his support. Then without his support the front lines would most likely fall in a rather rapid motion.

Their best chance in that situation would be to physically surround Yuudai with the three of them looking out and keeping tight around him, working together to hold off enemies attempting to attack, and blocking for Yuudai as he blocked and attacked over their shoulders for them. hopefully giving them the support they need to be able to fend off the attackers until they either routed, retreated or gave them enough of an opportunity to retreat themselves. Though in each situation Yuudai was the king piece. Without the three of them, he was near useless, but his versatility was the crown jewel of the group.

But the note Kaguza had hit resounded with her somewhat, it was true that the squad leader had shown nothing other than his taijutsu. Whatever else he was capable of was hidden, unless his entire fighting style revolved around throwing rocks. At Kaguza's words, as well as thinking back on them, she looked to Eiji and attempted to think of the other skills he could most likely know. Not many came to mind other than his Taijutsu, Solstice doubted very much he would be a genjutsu user, or even a fuuinjutsu user. More than likely chakra flow or ninjutsu would comprise of the other speciality. But to whichever extend his skills expanded, element, as well as style of offense/ defence. She was interested to see who the person training them would be like in the ring.

Listening to the way the others thought the squad would be ideal in combat situations; Yuudai began storing that information in his head. For Kaguza’s abilities, and ultimately his steam, Yuudai knew he could use his Gale Palm to direct the course of the haze. Solstice knew what she was talking about, though with the way her idea ran, he would ultimately be the weakness of the squad. Something that he didn’t want to be. Leaving him the options of becoming stronger or altering Solstice’s idea with his own flow. Though in the end, the squad would need to decide as a whole. After a minute of silence, once everyone had said their piece, Yuudai chose to voice his input, though he doubted it would be as efficient.

“As Kaguza stated, I should be able to redirect his steam with my Gale Palm jutsu, thus our squad not being affected by the steam. We’d also need a lot of communication due to having multiple techniques that hit an area, so none of us get caught in the cross fire.” Yuudai pinched the bridge of his nose, these area of effect techniques could basically be their weakness. “If we are not able to communicate, the area of effect techniques could result in our failure.

As much as Solstice declared that Yuudai was the backbone, in terms of defense, his deficiency would be with his team, specifically Kaguza’s mist. “If we follow with Solstice’s strategy of letting me handle the defense and picking off stragglers, it would only work if we can direct Kaguza’s steam. I can only handle so much in that kind of situation, as far as my current abilities allow. I’d be able to handle defending you two, but in no way should I be relied upon, though for now we should keep things simple. Me being responsible for the entire defense should not be a situation I should deal with. As a “heavy assault” squad, our main deficiency is defence, something which we all should improve upon along with offense. We have a long ways to go in working as shinobi, not only as a squad but individually. Start simple and then expand our strategy as we learn more techniques and our abilities and knowledge in combat improve.”

As much as strategy was necessary, their current abilities did not allow them to develop a more complex stratagem. Besides, they had to get used to each other’s combat styles in order to work as an efficient unit. He then turned to face Eiji, and looked him dead in the eye. “Your abilities would also be necessary and you have yet to show us. As a squad leader, you would also need to incorporate yourself, yet we cannot shape out tactics without being informed of your abilities.”

Eiji smiled as he heard all of them talk. They were quick on their feet and were also quick to find weakness. They also quickly determined on how to cover it up and make it not a weakness anymore. It was quick thinking and the fact they could respond to that quickly and effectively was great. It put a little bit more confident in Eiji, that he would not die if they were ambushed right here right now. It was great that know how to handle each other.

Even though he had not been a pirate for a while, old habits die hard and acute paranoia still sat with him. The fact that they can blast around the area no problem was nice too. It was just like being with his old crew. Taking down enemy boats and causing mayhem where ever they went. He listened to everyone talk for a while and nodded when he needed too. Ayakashi defiantly knew what she was doing, there would be a time when she would not even be the lower rank she was now. Yuudai and Kaguza seemed to be the same, he started to think once again on how long this 'team' would last.

"Aye ye be asking 'What can da amazing Eiji can do?!' Can he be swingin from the clouds, is he be a master at fist fighting?" He gave them all a smirk of confidence, this was usual for Eiji, he had a hard time taking things seriously. "Lets do another training thing. What do ye think I do?" The question was simple enough, yet so many things could be guessed. "Remember each ninja can be a master of multiple technique, it be better to overestimate yer opponent. Then be surprised otherwise. Also what clan would ye be thinking I be apart of?"

Kaguza

Kaguza

D-rank
Kaguza thought for a moment on Eiji's training idea, seemed more like a game to him. A smile came across his face as he contemplated his new squad leader. Upon arriving he had found Eiji performing taijutsu, so clearly he was a close-quarters fighter like the rest of the squad. Aside from actually seeing his abilities, everything he knew about this much he had been told. The man was a former pirate, and his name was Eiji Kaguya. Two key pieces of information could be taken from that alone. It was highly likely that he wouldn't have the standard ninja training the others would have, so; ninjutsu, genjutsu, summoning and the rest that were entirely chakra dependent were likely out the window. That left the more brutal and physical natures of fighting were left, such as taijutsu and kenjutsu. Swords and pirate were a stereotypical combo, though it was true. With the likely hood that he could wield swords along with his skill in taijutsu, his own name gave away the second bit of information. With the name Kaguya he could utilize his bones in the same way that Tsuneko could, combined with a pirate nature could be a nasty outcome. "I know your versed in taijutsu, being that I found you practicing. As for what else your capable of, I bet your good with a sword. With the last name of Kaguya, you can also manipulate your bones." His squad mates words regarding the negative portion of his steam jutsu weighed on his mind, "I'd like to point out one quick fact real quick. I do have a condensed version of my steam technique, my chakra will only effect those I come in contact with. I will still take it's side effects over time though and possibly fall to my bloodline. I feel I can trust this group though if that happens."

Solstice listened to the others, though her mind ran through scenario's seconds before they all came crashing to an abrupt halt. Her eyes turned to their squad leader, looking at his muscles, his body was made for taijutsu, strong, lean, and none of his muscle formations limited him particularly. Though her eyes could not pick up anything else from him. His hands did not shake passively, they were dagger-like, firm, like knifes. The kind of calm that came with steel like resolve. Then she thought of his clan, it was more than likely his blades could be hidden within his very bones... She had wondered before if using the Kekkei Genkai of the Kaguya was painful to use. She thought about this for a while. Before concluding that she would probably surpass their squad leader quickly given the opportunity.

Your stance, body, and clan would suggest a 40% likely-hood that your second specialisation is kenjutsu. a twenty six percent chance it is infact ninjutsu. While the least likely skills you possess would be Fuuinjutsu, due to the nature of the technique, Summoning would also be highly unlikely, as well as genjutsu due to the nature of your clan. The Kaguyaa are known as fighters. An aptitude for melee combat would be genetic. Thus making it more likely... Beating you would not be terribly difficult, were with minimal training. Solstice resolved. Though not breaking out into a smile. She looked through him, and saw his advantages, as well as his many flaws. Ones that would be easily coverable with skill in Chakra Flow or ninjutsu.

But Solstice saw the world in a series of objectives, and this squad was very, VERY melee operative. Which was a sizeable disadvantage should they come across a more balanced team, their weakness would be able to be rather exploited. Their strategy lay in their formation as ninja. If Eiji was indeed a potent kenjutsu user, it was more than likely that he would be capable of longer range skills by using either his bones or his blades. Unless of course they were one aand the same.

Though Mr Kaguya, even your skill is prone to an unspeakable disadvantage, with no medical ninja in our squad, you would not be able to use your Kekkei Genkai in battle due to the nature of its disadvantage. Your blood-line skill would kill you should we enter a strenuous battle against powerful opponents... unless you have an alternative sir...Solstice spoke very bluntly, almost to the point of being rude, but most of it stemmed from anger, still simmering on his change of attitude earlier. Bottling up the rage within her intending to use it at a later date. Hoping that should she have to fight against this guy she would be able to do more than simply hold her own against him.

Solstice began to doubt the group and began to realise just how badly a medical ninja was needed in this team. But for now these people would be a nice group to train with. Looking to the other two squad members, looking for visible opinions of what she had just spoken, seeing if they would attempt to deny her statements in any shape or form, or agree that the group sorely needed something to be vastly effective.

Yuudai looked up at Eiji, determining his other strength besides the one that was given away by his family name. Yuudai knew fairly well of the clans within Kirigakure. The Kaguya clan, from what he could vaguely remember was their utilization of their kekkei genkai. Their use of their own skeletal structure was unique, but had drawbacks as well. Manipulating anything within the human body would easily disrupt the internal systems, thereby destroying the body from the inside out. The Kaguya were gifted in taijutsu. Though with Eiji he had to think a little bit more. With what he knew of Eiji from this brief meeting, Eiji’s past as a pirate would make his skills differ from the norm.

“Based on your family name, and of my limited knowledge, I suppose you are proficient at taijutsu, though it would also be your greatest fault due to the structure of your kekkei genkai. Though what intrigues me more is not your taijutsu ability, but rather the other aspects of your combat abilities. Given the nature of your past as a pirate, there are limited options.” Yuudai was wary of stepping beyond a certain threshold with the way he spoke. Given the nature of being a ninja, Eiji had to have some versatility, as he could not rely on his kekkei genkai. “But given that the Kaguya’s main ability also can be their fault, I assume that you possess abilities beyond that of your kekkei genkai. After all, it would be idiotic to rely on such a thing. Being one dimensional severely would hurt your prowess, and as a shinobi, and a squad leader, you would need to possess expertise outside of your kekkei genkai and taijutsu, though I am still unsure of your other ability.” He knew this squad would be limited to close range combat given the abilities the others possessed. As the only one with proficiency for ninjutsu in the squad, Yuudai felt that he would be the most flexible and effective in almost all situations.

Eiji nods as everyone states what he did. They were good, and effective at pointing out what they need to notice. It seemed that this team was ready to go right off the bat. Which seemed to work well. It was getting closer later on in the day and Eiji was going to call it here. "Aye it seems that ye all are ready to go, lets call it a day." He had people to meet later today. "I be leavin now don't kill each other." He said as he walked off.

He stopped and look back and turned around. "Oh ye, now dat we are a team don't be afraid to come ask for help for any reason." Eiji had a serious look on his face for once. "It don't matter what we be doing in the future. We all be teams forever. Either one big team or not." With that he turned and walked off. He was in a hurry he had to meet someone later today.
