Mikumi Senju

Mikumi Senju

A-rank
S-rank Mission:

Mikumi was looking up above towards the heavens, the sky a mixture of the fading blue and orange as the sun began to set down for the approaching nightfall, Columbus clouds slowly drifting about the area while a light breeze gently blow towards the west making her two pigtails that had only lengthened overtime to blow the way of the wind, her right leg had been crossed over her left while her right foot swayed back and forth to the tempo of the festival music below her that had just started.

She turned her gaze from the sunset to look down at Konohagakure citizens and foreigners alike came to celebrate the annual coming of the Chunin Exams where young genin competed against each other's skill to see which among them was skilled enough to be called Chunin, although that was the purpose of the event it was little more than a way for ninja to showcase their skills to the public in a safe environment because if a shinobi wanted to earn chunin rank they could do so simply by continuing to do missions and hone their skills in silence.

Although that's how she boiled down the festivals and chunin exam overall Mikumi loved watching the people get away from their mundane tasks and daily life and enjoyed themselves knowing that they would be well protected, she looked down upon a group of children who had joined hands and were now laughing and smiling as they danced around in their own little circle, Mikumi smiled at them even though they would never notice her presence unless she wanted them to but she was content enough just watching them from afar as long as it meant they were safe and having fun.

Mikumi narrowed her eyes to her left as she felt a shinobi moving fast on to her location, she knew it wasn't an enemy as a single one wouldn't dare attack her in such a public opening during the chunin exams but she knew by how fast they were moving whatever they had to say was going to take her away from her nice spot, just moments after a shinobi with black hair and a yellow streak and brown eyes wearing the standard Konohagakure flak jacket appeared, "You're appearance has been requested, please meet are assignment director in his tent on the far north side of the village." And just as quick as he appeared he was gone, Mikumi sighed because she was somewhat hopeful that today would be one of the days she could simply relax without a care but it seems fate had it out for her instead.

Mikumi got up from her position while brushing the specks of dirt that had fallen upon her clothes before making her way towards the far north side of the village while enjoying the amazingly beautiful florescent orange the lantern lights gave off and the many people dancing in celebration, it was a short eleven minute trip but she finally landed on the ground and took a short walk to the main assignment camp and stopped at the entrance, "Mikumi Senju, A-rank Jonin. I have been notified that I'm needed." There was a moment of silence before a low raspy voice followed, "Enter." When Mikumi pushed her way through the tent she was greeted by the sight of an elderly man whose age had to be close to sixty-five if not more with balding hair but his gaze was confident and laser focus, "Don't be shy,I don't bite~!" The elderly man egged on and Mikumi got closer where she noticed he had twelve different folders with various shinobi on it, nearly all of them looking young in age, "I see my work has caught your eye, do you notice any of them or have seen them lately?" Mikumi studied the folders more carefully and realized she didn't recognize any of them and nodded her head no to her superiors question, "No I haven't."
