Sero

Sero

S-rank
Here he was again. Just another demon walking the streets of Yokai town. However he stood out among those around him. Not the average demon or even ranked among the soldiers but a devil himself. Few beings existed in such a way that the very shadows and mist reached for them and clung tightly. Darkness spreading from him like how others breathed. A reflex he could not control. Still he walked and the shadows danced even in the night as he passed the dim lamps. The shadows prefering the darkness and racing up to snuff out torch and light alike. His steps held no sound and his movement was fluid as if he were floating. Like the Yokai legends of old. How they moved and spread their influence among the mortals. These Yokai were of thinner blood but of the bloodlines enough to recall. So they moved from him and kept distance while whispering still of how the man reminded them of their elders. He was more than a mortal man and yet those eyes of his were already dead. The grave was as silent as his gaze so when it fell upon another event the ticket master froze in his words mid breath. Another had come to take the mission.

Sero approached the pit which appeared to be a mass grave full of coffins. An assistant held in one hand a hammer and in the other dozens of nails. Sero tilted his head as they were reverently offered to him. How odd for a mission to be handed so casually in his direction. Still he would hold out his hand and the hammer would seem to fly from the assistant into his right hand. The nails however seemed to shake as they reacted to his left hand. Taking a moment before the nails would turn black as if infected by his chakra. Rising into the air and then floating around him in a circle. A floating belt of nails. With that he stepped down and seemed to soar down into the pit. Landing with a step into a walk to stand in the center. Whatever this challenge was meant to be he was ready for it. His grey eyes lifted to see the ticket master praying over some sort of large beads. Was there some sort of jutsu coming about? If so what kind of jutsu would it be with the grave he now stood in?

Sero stood and watched as the man continued his prayer before using the beads in a complex series of hand seals. Each time he finished one complex set a seal would appear on the beads. Most of them the same size except the one on the bottom was twice the size of the others. Once the seal appeared on that one the beads split apart and flew in a circle around the ring. Each of them spaced apart evenly with the big one floating in the center. Together they began to arc a dark purple energy until they all connected to the center one. Purple lines forming and holding strong until they formed a larger seal. As soon as it was finished forming there was a muffled roar from below. The coffins around him began to shake as an echo of groans took over. The coffins began to be pried open from within and Sero now understood the mission. He had to seal them. To use the nails to claim a peace for the dead. With that in mind his left hand would lift into the air above his head just as the first of the coffins began to almost fully open. Then he let it fall.

As the pale hand rose the nails as black as night circling around him flew over each of the coffins save for five. Each of them hovering just above the coffins. When the pale hand dropped the dark nails shot down in unison. Sealing each of the coffins with one loud crack as the nails were driven down. All settled for a moment after that. Yet the seal above seemed to shift. The lines all forming into the large orb in the center as the beads fell. The ground before Sero began to rumble and before his eyes a large red arm began to rip its way from beneath. The arm itself the size of his body. Sero would take a breath then before his left hand collected the five black nails between his fingers. He would exhale before launching forward. His hammer moving as little more than a blur as moving up the arm he placed four nails driving the arm into the ground before reaching the hand itself. There he rose his hammer and slammed the final nail down into the hand. Pinning it to the earth and all the noise died down. He had passed this mission as well he noted as the last orb fell.
