It was an interesting time to be a shinobi in the sand village. There was truly a push for change going on, one that exhausted Atsuhiro. He didn't particularly have any interest in the happenings of the village, as he wasn't originally from here and had no interest of getting into the politics of things. Over a short time it had seemed that all of the higher ranking shinobi in the village had gone missing, which was a curious thing in and of itself. When he had heard that the village would make a massive announcement it was something tha the tried to avoid honestly, but there was almost no way to do so besides leaving, which he personally didn't want to do. It had been presented to the village that there would be a new Kazekage, a position that hadn't been filled here in a very long time. When Hisaki had first become a shinobi, it was Gin Kuroka who was in charge of the sand, and for a time there was Suzume whom he hadn't really heard much of. Now it appeared that a girl named Midori would be getting the hat, which would be an interesting thing to see played out. The village was completely overtaken by crime and strife, and he imagined that the village may even try to push back against the woman who was being put in charge. Atsuhiro wanted to stay neutral on the subject, but his hand would be forced when he was informed that he would be leading a squad of genin.

He had taught students in the past in Konoha, and while it was something he had enjoyed doing, he had decided to never do it again after losing a squad of genin on a mission. He had been ambushed and didn't even see it coming, something that still haunted him to this day, and was a major factor in why he had fled Konoha. He looked at the names on the list and their strengths that had been presented to him from their academy days. It would be interesting to see the three of them together, and it seemed like they would be a competent group, but it still worried him getting involved in this scene again. His eyes scanned the area, not entirely sure what to make of everything quite yet. He wore a beige button up shirt that was undone at the top two buttons, sleeves rolled up half way up his arm, and a pair of blue jeans, the shirt hanging loose outside of the jeans. On his feet he wore a pair of brown loafers and he wore a belt to match. His face, as always, was clean shaven, and he had his medium length red hair swept off to the side so that it wasn't obstructing his vision. Atsuhiro had spent a couple of days to find the perfect place to meet up with his squad, and he was fairly happy with the location that he had chosen, as he wanted to see their prowess.

First on his list was a teen named Kei Iriye. Apparently he was a ninja who specialized in the medical arts and the use of Taijutsu, which was a perfect common ground for the two of them. He had supposedly run into some trouble at some point with attempting to leave the village, according to the reports that Atsuhiro had received, but it didn't seem to be an issue anymore. Atsuhiro understood leaving ones village, and maybe that would help the two of them bond a little bit. The oldest of the group, Anon Brier, was a swordsman and a fuuinjutsu user, something that they would have in common a well. Atsuhiro was considered a rare breed of Hyuga, as they didn't typically learn fuuinjutsu, but he found the infinite uses for it too good to pass up, and he simply couldn't say no to learning it. He was curious to see what this individual would be like. Rounding out the group was Ryo Knetegawa, a puppeteer and ninjutsu user according to his reports. He was the only one that Atsuhiro had nothing in common with, but he was curious to see how he would mesh with the group irregardless. It would be an interesting match up, that was for sure.

Atsuhiro stood at the rails overlooking the Colluseum, waiting for his three new students to enter the central stage. He had told them to come prepared to fight, though he hadn't told them what he would be fighting. Atsuhiro smiled at the cleverness of the whole situation. It would certainly make them have to think on their feet and he looked forward to seeing how they would overcome this situation...

Ryo smiled widely as he straightened up his outfit before he looked himself over once more. He was wearing black ninja pants with his long-sleeve dark blue shirt, and over that he wore a light grey V-neck T-shirt. He was looking ready and he slowly pulled up the Scroll harness that held his two sons Kuro and Shiro. Once he was finished getting the things on her person ready he moved to clean his face making the purple tear drop tattoos shine even brighter now that they were clean. Finally, he moved to the door of his home slipping on black ninja sandals before he heard the twins coming in bounding with laughter. No sooner had he managed to slip on his ninja tool bag on the back of his waist than the two bounded up to him “Where you going!?” They asked in a loud unison tone.

Ryo smiled and pat their heads “I am heading off to meet my new sensei and the rest of my new squad. Now behave, for big sis I’ll see you all later.” With that he rushed off to the colosseum. He was determined to the be the first one there if it was the last thing he would do. On his way there he thought about the recent changes in the village. He had heard that the very lovely and very interesting girl he had met in the parts shop was now the Kazekage. Meeting her he hadn’t realized that she was a Jounin nor able to be actually picked for that job. Using the greatest speed that he could manage and before it was the end of it. He arrived at the colosseum which he knew well enough being that he had come here many weeks earlier to fight a friendly contest with a friend. He thought about his puppets and about his team. It wouldn’t do to lie to his own friends, and comrades. So, he decided that he wouldn’t bring out either of his sons for this first meeting or anything else. With that decided he walked into the center stage of the colosseum looking around for his teammates, and his sensei.

From what he could see he was indeed the first one to arrive, and that was a good thing for him. This meant he could set up and watched the others approach him. He didn’t like being the one doing the approaching if he could help it. Now, he moved to the dead center of the stage looking up and around even more. He found what he was looking for; it was his new sensei. This man was strange enough looking he had deep red hair, and there looked to be something wrong with his eyes, but instead he shook his head not bothering with anything else. Instead, he waved his hand calling up “Hello up there! Are you Atsuhiro- sensei?! If so I’m your new genin! It’s a pleasure to meet you!” he said simply, but said nothing else. He didn’t want to give his name to someone he didn’t know, and someone who may or may not be an enemy. His eyes were watching the sensei with eager inspection and were committing every detail to Ryo’s memory. His hands were loose now down at his sides which happened to put both of his hands right over the scrolls that were resting right in their holsters silently.

Lazy hazel hues stared up at the sky, watching the clouds shift by. Anon was sitting outside his apartment building, killing time. He was feeling rather lazy today and didn't actually feel like getting up and doing anything despite getting a letter earlier that day. The letter held a time and place for a meeting with his new sensei as well as two other ninja who were to be members of his squad. Anon had thought about just not going at first but knew he'd probably get in trouble for skipping out on it. Would that really be so bad though? What's the worst they could do, kill him? Doubtful, they needed ever able bodied ninja they could get and it was very unlikely that they would kill him over simply skipping a meeting with his sensei. He supposed the day wasn't getting any younger, though, and it would behoove him to get up and suck it up to go meet his squad. With a sigh, the young man stood, brushing the sand off of his outfit and stretching to get himself ready to go. Anon was wearing his normal black shinobi netted shirt, gi vest, shinobi tights as well as his tabi and soft step sandals. Anon, as always, was also wearing the violet face mask that covered the bottom half of his face, covering his mouth which now had an apathetically drawn line.

His now white locks shook, as his head did. He'd forgotten to dye it violet once more, but it couldn't be helped. He'd have to remember to do so later, else he'd feel as though he was losing his touch. With a yawn, the man bent over to pick up the tool pouch next to his swords that were on the ground next to where he had been sitting. He'd gotten them out of his room because he figured at some point he would cave and go to the meeting, which he was told to be ready to fight at. After attaching the tool pouch with three scrolls inside it, one scroll having a kunai and three shuriken sealed inside it, to the front left of his belt next to his hitai-ate he looked back at his swords.  With one fluid motion his kicked both swords up into the air, moving his arms in fluid motions while turning his body. His hands quickly and gracefully found each hilt, the shorter of the two swords finding his left hand while the right held the larger one. In the same motion, he kept turning to be in the same position he was originally in upon standing, the blades' tips sliding into the sheaths on the back of his belt, crossing behind his lower back. With a single harmonized 'click' the two swords were in their homes and ready for the ninja to travel with them. Smiling under his mask, Anon made his way through the market district where he made his home, heading towards the meeting place.

Not long after he arrived at the location, which happened to be the Grand Colosseum. Smirking to himself, Anon stepped into the giant entrance that was made to allow throngs of people into it at once. There were three or four arenas in the place, each tailored to something specific depending on what the organizers needed. Finding the place mentioned on his letter, Anon's expression became more apathetic once more, and he stepped through the entrance into a large area which already had another person standing, looking up at something. Following his vision, he saw someone up in the area overseeing the arena partition of the colosseum. Presumably this was his new sensei and the young male nearest him was another in his squad. The other ninja looked rather excited, while Anon's hazel hues moved towards where the other male stood above them, his hands coming back to rest upon the hilts of his swords casually. Not tightening their grips, but not off of them. As if he were relaxed, yet ready to fight.

"Is that you, honey? It's hard to see.." Kei would hear his mother ask as he would pull the blanket over her, having recently replaced her sheets and clothes with new ones. "Yeah mom, I'm gonna head out again, they slapped me onto a squad." He would respond as he would place his right hand upon her forehead. Hot as ever, just great. It was all the more worrying that she was struggling to see as well, he hoped she can hold out a little longer. 'I'll fix the slums mom, just hold out a little longer.' He would think to himself as he would gently place a kiss upon her forehead before turning around and moving towards the door of his home, looking as his tattered black coat for a few moments. He didn't want to head out today, not with her like this and definitely not with how he was feeling overall. He had a bad taste in his mouth, almost as if he was going to be disappointed in something.

As he would walk out of the door, dusting off the white tank top he wore and black pants, Kei would begin to make his way towards the coliseum. He could still recall the events at the glass museum, fresh in his mind they were of how he met that jerk that essentially implied that people with his mindset generally only talk big talk. He could guess that helped attribute to his bad mood, when he meets those that are arrogant enough to assume such things about others when they're walking around talking about how they're going to become ANBU, almost as if that's going to help anything. It made him annoyed just thinking about it, how could one make such assumptions about the lives of others? If they weren't in that building at the time he would've just duked it out with him right then and there, but alas, it wasn't worth possibly breaking a statue. He just hated how others made assumptions about him, or just in general acted like his own views were flawed when he's not the one telling strangers about how he's going to become a secret special ops member.

Still though, it did give him some to think on, like how he could work on better finding a way to help improve these slums. He knew a good place to check out was exactly the place he was told to stay away from by Ryu; the Western territory. If that part of the slums is truly as terrifying as described, then clearly the major root of a lot of the issues here would most likely have stemmed from there, meaning that if he truly aspires to change things, he'll have to plant his focus on there sometime. He was already planning to better show that he wasn't just all talk and no action, and his previous fiasco with Ryo and his training with Ryu were just first steps. He was going to have to end up being more active than before, to hurry with his improving so he can have a stronger impact at a faster rate. He still technically stood alone in his little crusade, but considering how he has little in regards to a future, what does he have left to lose?

He wondered who he squaddies will be. He already had a general idea of what is commonplace in Sunagakure; the Sabaku, those people that play with sand or whatever, are a pretty common suspicion when it came to Shinobi. They had the blood of the Kazekage Gaara running through them, and all in all it could make life easier to have someone tossing sand into the enemy's eyes, an extremely useful ability indeed. There was also all of the puppet users the village gives birth to. If it's not medical specialists it's a person walking around with a mechanical construct on near-invisible strings, and considering how some of them such as Ryo's clan and the asshat that ambushed him when he tried to leave had some serious resources for their creations, it would make for an interesting experience to work alongside one in a group.

Still, whoever his squaddies were, he just would appreciate it if they weren't jerks, or people that talked a big game. The patchwork male didn't exactly have too extensive of medical techniques made for some foolhardy soul to get too rash and hurt themselves, so he'd love it if injuries are few. He had a feeling it wouldn't be much of an issue, but still, it was something to take into consideration at the end of the day nonetheless. As he would enter the coliseum, he would be pleasantly surprised by who was already there; it would be an all too familiar make wearing black pants, a life grey v-neck shirt with a dark blue undershirt, and two all too familiar purple tear drops on his cheeks. It was a good thing that, if they're going to have a puppet user, it would be Ryo. He dreaded the idea of having to deal with another Kikisu, especially if he had to listen to how much of a traitor someone was for wanting to walk a meter or two out of line or because someone ate a certain type of food. Thankfully, it was someone like Ryo and not that idiot.

It seemed he was the third person to arrive, or at least, he thought so until he looked around and upwards, seeing a man that wore a beige button-up shirt casually with rolled sleeves and some jeans. His red hair wasn't in the way of his regular brown eyes. It would be then that Kei would remember how this man, the actual first person to arrive here, had informed them to come prepared for a fight, and so he would reach into his tattered black coat for a few moments, checking and making sure his fuuma shuriken was still there before withdrawing his hand, instead using it to scratch his black hair for a few moments before he looked over to Ryo, his blue eyes resting on the male. "Hey, Ryo, looks like we're on the same squad, eh?" He would call out to the other male as he moved towards him, entering the center part of the coliseum.

It would also be then that he would notice the masked appearance of the male, already recognizing him to be the one before. He would be internally smacking his head against a wall, already seeing why he had such a bad taste in his mouth previously. It couldn't be helped though, and while he didn't like being on a squad with someone that left a bad taste in his mouth previously, he figured he could do nothing about it but give it a chance, at least, and so instead he would just offer the same smile he gave Ryo to him. "Hello, future ANBU guy."

OoC:

Ah and in they came one by one. Atsuhiro quickly realized that this group seems a little bit...odd. The first one to arrive was the youngest of the batch, who seemed to be quite pleasant and eager to be here. Atsuhiro smiled and nodded to him when he spoke. He made a quick mental note on the fact that he was presentable and prompt and polite, all things that were appreciated, but Atsuhiro was more curious about his ability. This was the puppeteer, something that was fairly famous in this area, but not something he had particularly dealt with much back in Konoha. He was curious to see how such a shinobi would work into his dynamic and it was something that made him quite excited to watch out for. He wouldn't speak yet, simply nodding in acknowledgement of the question, as he wanted to wait until all three of them were there for him to introduce himself and tell them what to expect.

The second of the three approached and Atsuhiro raised a brow at his approach. He looked like he had spent a summer in Konoha, seen the sixth Hokage's face on the great stone mountain, and decided he liked that "cool edgy look". Atsuhiro personally was not a fan of people who felt the need to hide behind a mask, but he had essentially been doing that since coming to Suna, as he had completely changed his physical appearance. He wouldn't mention anything about it, but when he made his mental notes on this one, they included the words "untrustworthy," and "secretive," and also possibly "impolite" as he had not introduced himself. Atsuhiro frowned but he wasn't going to let this bother him. He was sure that when it came down to it, this guy would be useful. The only question that he was left with, however, was would he be useful as an individual or as part of the squad, because if it was only in the first aspect, that was something that led to death. He had experienced the loss of a squad before, and it was something that he never wanted to have happen to him again...

As the third and final student approached, Atsuhiro was a little surprised by his appearance. If anyone should have been wearing a mask, it was this guy. It looked as though half of his face had been torn off and had been crudely stitched back together...in fact the stitches were still there. It was quite grotesque to behold. Atsuhiro didn't know weather he should jump down and save the other two students from this off-putting figure, or if he should let them fight him and see what happened. With a face like that he was either completely worthless in a fight, or he had some fascinating power that Atsuhiro was looking forward to seeing. Either way, this one at least seemed to know Captain Mask and was polite to the younger boy, so that was a plus. Mental notes on this one? "Scary looking..." "Buy him a mask, force him to never take it off..." yeah...that'll do...Wait a minute, this guy had more stitches than a poorly sewn coat that had been overcompensated for shoddy workmanship with extra lines of stitch. Maybe he would add "Straight jacket" to mask. It seemed appropriate.

He took a second to compose himself after that affront to his sensitive eyes before speaking, his voice carrying over the area well in its baritone. "So...you are the unfortunate few who have been put into Lotus squad under my care. I would say I feel sorry for you, but I don't like to lie. I am not a nice person, I am not the sensei any of you wanted to be paired with. I am not the easy ride to the Kazekage's good side. I am going to beat the living shit out of every single one of you, until you are crying and begging me to stop. I am going to break your spirit and at that point, you will realize that there is no one better at what I do than me. When I am done with you, you will be superior shinobi, and will be carved into the upper echelon of Sunagakure history alongside the names of Gaara, Sasori, Gin, and so forth." He stopped for a second, looking over the group assembled before him. He had no intention of backing down from what he was saying. Losing a sqaud had hardened him, and he would harden these boys. He jumped down from the top of the coliseum, landing in a crouched position before approaching the boys.

"Now. I am Atsuhiro Mitsuhada. I have come to this village from a foreign land with no intention of training people, but your kage begged me to teach students, and so here I am. I will harden each and every one of you..." He looked at each of them for a second, gauging each of their reactions accordingly before saying his last words to them. "Any questions?"

Ryo’s eyes flicked from the man after getting his response which made him smile a bit wider, but then looked to the other who had entered the arena. He was interesting and was quick to notice that there was indeed something to worry about. This man had a pair of swords on his back, and wore a face mask. Ryo didn’t look to noticeably change his demeanor, but his hands were already resting over his scrolls and they were already in the pull position which would allow them to be quickly snapped out with such speed as to make summoning the puppet no trouble, but his left hand got ready to weave hand-seals. He only needed one hand to do that and that would be easy enough.

Presently he smiled a bit wider showing his teeth as he turned full to face the incoming man “Hey there! You must be one of my teammates. It’s a pleasure to meet you! It seems we are going to be working together.” He said cheerfully and casually so as not to let the feeling of readiness that had settled over him be apparent in his voice.

After a few moments, Ryo’s eyes caught movement entering the arena. He forgot about the other man he was keeping eyes on and rushed to Kei with the biggest smile he could manage. Finally, he arrived stopping a few feet in front of the older man nodding his head “It looks that way it’s so good to see you!” he looked to the other man lowering his voice down as he whispered “How’s your mother? Did that money help? Do you need my help to get more?” he asked to keep himself from being overheard and to show that he was genuinely concerned about Kei and the state of his life. Yet, he was distracted by the fact that Kei was looking back at the other man and he followed his gaze looking over the guy once before. He smiled again nodding “I like weapon masters. They are trouble for the enemy. If he’s on the team he’ll be a big help.” He said loud enough to be heard by the other guy showing that he thought this guy to be friendly enough. He wasn’t sure why he saw the muscles in Kei’s body tighten and the baring he had change ever so slightly, but that wasn’t important. He was on a team, and Kei was on the team. He was sad that his other friend in Suna wasn’t on his team, but he would still have to hurry up and give life to his first daughter Midori sooner than later to thank the Kazekage for her doing him such a favor.

He was snapped back to reality by the sound of their sensei speaking. He looked up to give the sensei his full attention to the man. He heard the intentions and the speech that his sensei was intent on giving. It wasn’t a speech that would hearten most but Ryo’s dream and driving force was to be the best of his clan, the best puppet master and shinobi that his clan had ever seen. So, if this sensei could help him achieve that dream then he was ready to go through the gates of death, and kill death himself if that was the case. None of the pain he went through mattered to him so long as this promise the sensei offered would be kept.

Learning his sensei’s name, he listened standing straight up and without any desire to show he wasn’t paying attention. This man was a stranger, but if the Kazekage, and more importantly his future daughter’s namesake trusted him enough with the village’s secrets and future of the village then Ryo would trust him with the secrets that were tightly held by his clan. Ryo smiled widely as he heard the question and he nodded “I have a couple Sensei. Why are we here and supposed to be prepared for a fight? Then” he paused for what he thought would be dramatic effect “When do we begin this hardening process?” he asked his blue eyes flashing intensely as he slowly settled his hands over his scroll holsters ready for action and he slowly readied his legs for the inevitable moment when he would have to spring into action or get out of the way.

Anon's attention went from the young male to the man up in the higher area, over looking the arena. They were told to come battle ready and he was up there, was he simply here to be entertained by the two struggling against each other, or suppose he wanted the three to fight amongst themselves? That didn't seem like teamwork to the Mitarashi, but who was he to judge? Regardless of being a ninja and obeying the mission, the last thing that he wanted to do was fight his new squad, the people who in the ninja world were supposed to be like family. Perhaps he could outmaneuver them and move out of the way of attacks long enough for it to end? This raced through Anon's mind before he realized he didn't actually know who they would be fighting, if it were even each other. This was bothersome, to say the least but he wouldn't have much more time to deliberate this. The last spot on the squad was apparently filled with an all too familiar sight: Kei Iriye. The grotesque, charming male made his way into the arena last of the three, and had a short conversation with the other genin: Ryo. Interesting.

His attention turned to Anon and he seemed a bit annoyed, but still remained cheerful greeting him as 'future ANBU guy.' To be fair, it wasn't uncalled for. Anon had been rather rude to him the last time they'd met. Which, ironically enough, was also the first time they'd ever met. He didn't intend to come off rude but seeing the reaction of his new squad mate informed him this was in fact the case. With a bit of a sigh, he looked towards the other young genin and then back to Kei. They were obviously already friends and while his dreams of becoming an ANBU meant he had to become stronger than he was now, possibly stronger than them, he didn't want to be the odd man out. Burying the hatchet and being polite as well as working together was their best chance at trying to form a working team. Who knows? The three of them could go on to be ANBU together if they all worked hard enough, or at least become more powerful together. The first thing that needed to happen was teamwork though.

"Hey there, Kei. Sorry about the museum, if I seemed rude or anything. I didn't mean anything by it and I don't doubt your word or how you can help people. I was mainly angry about the village seeming to care less about the problems than we do. But since we're on the same squad, we should try to be friends, so why not start over? Anon Brier, of clan Mitarashi at your service! And it's nice to meet you, Ryo was it? As I said, I'm Anon and I am your other squad mate."

Anon realized how artificial he must sound at this point but nothing could be further from the truth. He truly believed that the best thing to do was to be friends with these two, as anything else could hurt their teamwork in the future. What he was worried about now was the sensei they had and what exactly he wanted the three battle ready for. He assumed he'd have his answer soon enough as he looked up to the man, who had started speaking. It was a long spiel about how they were unfortunate to be put in a squad with him and that he wouldn't go easy on them. Break their spirits and such and such, but once he was done they'd be historic shinobi, with their places in history cut out for them next to the legends of the village's past.  This sort of thing was rather protocol for teachers at this point, but this man did seem to have conviction in his words. At least, that's what Anon hoped for. Too many people took the easy way when it came to squads and took their paths of least resistance. He didn't want that, he wanted to get stronger.

The man jumped down from the upper parts of the Colosseum arena, landing in a crouched position in front of them before moving towards them. He spoke once more, introducing himself in a rather stern fashion. Atsuhiro Mitsuhada, a foreigner from another land, just like Anon had been, so they had that in common. He said he didn't even want to teach students but Anon understood why he was now. Teachers were desperately needed in a village of so many genin. Which was understandable since so many of the higher ranked ninja had gone missing, died, or simply left the village for whatever reasons they had left. This man seemed to be interested in getting the genin in his care to greater heights though, and strength would definitely come with the mentoring he offered. This made Anon smirk underneath his mask. He was not dissuaded from this course, if anything it cemented his need to be here even more.

Lotus Squad

Sensei Atsuhiro asked if they had any questions and the young Ryo had asked them before Anon had the chance. His very same questions were asked and it seemed that they were on the same page. It all came back to why were they here for battle? Were they really meant to fight each other? Or perhaps..they were meant to fight him? He wouldn't ask them to do such a thing, surely? Fighting their teacher seemed tantamount to an impossibility! Or perhaps it was meant as a training exercise to make the three work together. Anon mentally rubbed his temples trying to figure out the strategic capabilities of asking them to fight him or each other. He couldn't really place why this was something they'd need to do or want to do. All that Anon could come up with was that the teacher wanted to gauge their abilities for himself and wanted to know exactly what he was getting into, teaching wise. This would be interesting to say the least.

"I'm with Ryo, I would like to know why we're here ready for battle. Though I've two guesses. One, you wish for us to fight each other, to gauge our abilities. Though that would probably put a dent in our team building if people take the spar to heart. Or two: you wish for us to work together to battle you, in which case we'd have to work as a team to beat you or collect something, etcetera.  Either way, it's your orders, sensei."

Anon simply shrugged after speaking, his hands moving away form his weapons to return to his pockets. He had his legs tensed underneath his tights ever so slightly, enough to be ready to move, but not enough to be seen without having a good perception of the world around you. While his arms tensed slightly as well, ready to pull back out if needed. All in all he was ready for whatever might happen, but his hazel hues lazily stared at his sensei, waiting for his orders. He made sure to listen intently, not just to him, but to the movements of the other two on either side of him in case he needed to move quickly.

It made him happy to see how happy Ryo was, seemingly running over to him and closing the distance between them, nodding his head with a huge smile. He liked it when others were friendly enough, and so far Ryo has been close to nothing but good to him. There was the whole having to deal with the idea of killing someone over calling them freaks situation, but nonetheless. He would however continue talking, whispering a question about his mother, and if the money helped, and if he needs his help to get more. The Genin would blink once at this, his eyes opening up slightly wider than normal for a short millisecond before returning to normal. He couldn't mention how she couldn't see at the moment, definitely not. Honestly, receiving even more help wasn't exactly something he wanted either. It would take away from the learning experience overall for him to rely on someone else for his needs. He had to think of something though, an excuse or fib or half-truth, anything.

"She's alright and yeah, the money helped. We're good for now, I appreciated your help with that, buddy." He would whisper back before shooting a smile that was followed by a wink. It seems Ryo had taken an interest in Anon as well, as he spoke about his like of weapon masters, about how they're trouble for the enemy and if he's on the team he'll be a big help. 'Maybe.." Kei would say to himself as he narrowed his eyes in the direction of Anon. The guy was certainly aspiring to be stronger than before, to be the best, so he didn't have much of a doubt that he'll be useful and even extremely strong, but would he continue to help play his part in driving a rift between the two of them along the way? If so, then all it'll prove to do is make healing a bit harder on Kei himself, as he still can't find much of a reason to heal someone that openly spits in the faces of others.

Ryo seemed to be the type to actually not want such a rift to be driven, as he did apologize about the rude act at the museum and further specifying that he doesn't doubt his word or his ability to help others, instead admitting to being angry about the villages' lack of caring in regards to the problem, even less than they do. Since they're on same squad, however, they should try to start over and be friends. He then introduced himself once more as Anon Brier of clan Mitarashi, before introducing himself to Ryo as well. Kei immediately understood that this isn't as genuine in regards to feeling bad about the said rudeness as much as it is an apology made of necessity, to ensure that nothing bad occurs that stems from their disdain of one another. Still, while he takes this as the apology not being genuine he does recognize that everyone is definitely better off not wasting their time with this situation, and overall burying the hatchet would make things way easier anyways.

"S'all good Anon, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pissed at the village's lack of caring too. Let's consider the hatchet buried and move on." He'd respond, offering a smile to the masked male. It would be then however that the elephant in the room, their sensei,  would speak, his baritone voice carrying over the area as he did. It seems that they're the "unfortunate few" that have been placed into Lotus Squad under him, and that he would say he'd feel sorry for them, but he dislikes lying. He's not a nice person nor a sensei they wanted to be paired with, he's not an easy ride to the Kazekage's good side, either. At this point, the patched Genin would rise an eyebrow and cross his arms as he listened to this guy try to make himself out to be some terrifying demon or whatever. He honestly didn't care much about a new Kazekage, especially considering the past few or the lack thereof have been overall pretty sad, not to mention that if he asked for an easy ride he would've just tried again in leaving Suna. The place is a piece of shit, and he's pretty sure anywhere else is better than here at the moment. So far, this scare tactic isn't working.

He would then speak about how he's going to beat the living shit out of every one of them until they're crying and begging him to stop, that he's going to break their spirits and, at that point, they will realize there is no one better at what he does than him. When he's done, they will be superior Shinobi, and will be carved into the history of Sunagakure alongside Gaara, Sasori, Gin, and others. 'Aren't the latter few criminals and traitors, though?' He'd think to himself as he had considered this. This guy, while trying to make himself seem terrifying, did just provide a decently hefty assurance of them, though what happens when he can't break their spirits, if he can't make them beg? Will that hurt his idea of training?

The guy would then jump down from the top of the coliseum, landing and approaching the three. He introduced himself as Atsuhiro Mitsuhada, a man that has come from a foreign land with no intention of training people, but their Kage begged him to teach students, and so here he is. He will harden each of them, though then ask if there are any questions. It seems like Ryo was the first to speak up, asking why they're here and prepared for a fight, and when they begin the hardening process. Anon spoke up, agreeing with Ryo about wanting to know why they're here and ready for a fight, though guessing that either they're here to fight one another or working together to battle him, though amounting it to it being their sensei's orders. "I'm with Ryo and Anon on this." Kei would chime in himself.

The responce from the three boys in front of him was about what he had expected, none of them backing down from his speach. He was curious to see if any of them would make it past the training regime he had planned out for them, but he hoped that they would be able to do so. Strength of character was important to Atsuhiro, and he believed that each of these people, after standing up to him, could likely go far enough to give him what he wanted. He had no interest in teaching a squad and instantly having them fall in a mission again, that was something he simply couldn't live with having on his conscience at al. He looked over the three boys, putting his right fist in his left hand and cracking his knuckles on that hand before switching and doing the other. The three of them seemed to be eager to learn, and it appeared they were willing to get along, so Atsuhiro didn't have to worry about that either.

The youngest one, Ryo, had a question for him about why they were there and prepared to fight, which Atsuhiro chuckled at. While it wasn't a terrible question, he thought the second part was fairly obvious. He would let the other's answer as well before responding. "You're here because this is where I wanted to meet you. You are prepared for a fight because as a shinobi, you should always be ready to fight any enemy. If I were to attack you right now, and you guys weren't ready, you would all die. It is the way of our world unfortunately, and therefore it is important to always be prepared." Mask was proven incorrect with that statement. while his thoughts weren't bad, they were incorrect for the occasion. Atsuhiro smirked as he looked his squad over one more time, trying to think of what to leave them on today. It was unfortunate to cut the meeting short, but he wanted them to wait it out, see if all of them would stick around. He expected to lose at least one of them, but had no idea which. Such was the nature of their world as well; people were cowards.

"Now, perhaps I should go ahead and make an example of one of you right now, but I don't think that needs to happen. Stitches, you look like you could use a break from whatever horrible medical treatment you have been receiving recently, and possibly something to cover up that ugly mug. Captain Mask, you look like you need to drop the Kakashi-wanna be act really quickly. That guy was a complete tool from what I've heard, only ever worried about himself, and that is not the type of person I want under me. And you..." he turned to Ryo, still trying to figure out what to call him. "I don't think I have anything mean to say to you. Congratulations, you're my favourite." He put a hand on Ryo's head, were he to let him, only briefly before lifting it away and taking a step back. He would have built some animosity right there as well, which it was always interesting to see how people overcame that.

He walked towards the entrance to the coliseum. "Meet me in one week back here. I'll have some opponents for you guys to fight so you can show me what you're made of." With that he waved back and left the coliseum, heading towards the fighting cages that he was famously known in. He had no interest in being late to his fights, as they were pretty much the only way he made any money in this village...

Ryo Knetegawa

Ryo Knetegawa

Ryo looked to Anon and bowed his head slightly “Yes, it is Ryo, a pleasure to meet you. Ryo Knetegawa of the clan Knetegawa at your service.” He said very politely. This was of course before he was recalled to the fact that his teacher was there and he watched the others in his group ask similar questions to what he had asked earlier. He was also happy to see that he was soon echoed by the others of his group and he was certainly glad that they shared his sentiments and inquiries.

What had Ryo annoyed however was the simple fact that the answer was typical and sadly melodramatic. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes instead the comment only served to relax his body further only giving a soft exhale that would likely go unnoticed by the sensei unless he was looking for something like this. The answer was so typical, so cookie-cutter and basic that it almost turned off Ryo’s mind and senses. Still, he forced himself to focus and watch his sensei. If he thought the answer to the questions was terrible the next bit of irritating slaps were even more so. He heard the whips of verbal insults that had been shot at his teammates. Ryo’s character flaws came out his eyes glowing with a fire. He shook his head viciously and snapped out “You can’t talk to Anon, and Kisei that way! You may be the sensei you may be looking to make us great, but you can’t talk to people you want to work under you that way! How dare you be so cruel to Kisei! You don’t know the story behind his stitches! Besides they look awesome!” He didn’t bother pointing out that he himself didn’t know the full story behind the stitches only that they were a gift from his father, and when he had said it the way made it sound like it was a bad thing. He then shook his head almost growling “And Anon should impersonate a shinobi so widely known as Kakashi! He was a Hokage, and fought in the great ninja war of the past! Even if his personality sucked he was strong there is nothing wrong with impersonating strong ninja! You even said you were going to make us legends among our own village! You even named Sasori who is a master puppeteer that the rest of us only try to come up to in greatness, but he was still a criminal!”

He stopped as he had to take in breath and the sensei didn’t seem to hear his words and in fact Ryo’s eyes widened as he heard the half compliment half insult about him being Atsuhiro’s favorite. Suddenly, his face flushed red as he quickly looked to Anon and Kisei terrified about what they would think of this. Would they think that he had betrayed them? Would they think that he tried to please a sensei who was so rude to them. His heart fluttered as fast as could be, and was truly terrified about what the others would think of him. More specifically Kisei, whom he knew and actually liked as more than just a teammate. He only just heard in the faintest reaches of his mind that they would meet back here in a week before he shook his head closed his eyes and took off like a lightning bolt surging out of coliseum. He wouldn’t wait around for the hatred, he wouldn’t wait around for them to become more venomous towards him. Truly, he was now ashamed, terrified, and he made it a point to remember this slight as he would add his own sensei to his list of those whom had wronged him. He would get even one day, and on that day Atsuhiro would regret how he had wronged the Wolf Puppeteer.

Of course, he didn’t know how he would face either of his two teammates after this. He didn’t deal with people well, they had these complex thought patterns and he really couldn’t understand all of them. He only hoped that they would forgive him the next time he saw them otherwise he really didn't know what he would do.

Syekren quietly shook his head and began to walk towards the exit. There was no use in staying on a squad with someone so clearly enveloped in their own self interests to treat their students the same.  He definitely wasn't someone that Anon wanted to learn under and would not be putting any effort into remaining on his team. Anon waved to Kei Iriye as he followed Ryo's suit of leaving the stadium. He was happy that Ryo had actually tried to defend he and Kei, and that he was trying his best not to seem as though he wanted to be the favorite of the group. But there was nothing else for it. Their teacher had obviously picked favorites and decided his path so Anon would decide on his and start towards it. He didn't know where that path led, but it obviously didn't lead here.
