Nakazo Ashitaka

Nakazo Ashitaka

Nakazo walked down the long corridors of the Grand Colosseum, touching the stone walls as he moved through them. This place had a long and storied history among the shinobi of the Hidden Sand, and he was glad to be finally be here. Nakazo had actually been here before, but he was a child, and only in the stands, watching other ninja fight. Tonight I'll be one of the ones doing the fighting. He remembered watching the championship match one year long ago, and cheering so hard, though he couldn't remember their names. I wonder what became of them. The stone passage eventually gave way to a medium size square room, which connected to another straight pass. In the distance he could see it opening up into the arena. Inside the square room was a single table with a woman at it. She had a paper in front of her, and look rather bored. Nakazo walked up to her and began to speak.

"I'm Nakazo Ashitaka, here to sign in for an evening sparring session."

She looked up and noticed the Suna forehead protector he wore, and nodded back, scribbling something on the page. "Go right in, there's nobody there now, but you should have someone checking in very soon. This place gets busy, nobody waits very long."

"Thank you," he replied, as he followed the final path in arena number three.

Before long he had arrived, breaking through the underground tunnel and coming out into the fresh crisp air. The days here could be scorching hot, but the nights could be deathly cool sometimes. The sun had gone down hours ago, but the arena was well lit by four massive flood lights. He had on his standard blue shirt with long baggy shorts that reached well past his knees. His forehead protector stood prominently atop his brow, with some strands of brown hair falling over it. His ninja pouch contained a single kunai with three shuriken. Nakazo began doing some stretches, trying to get in shape for his opponent. He wasn't sure who would show up, but he was excited at the prospect of training. Each ninja had their own specialties and strengths, and he wondered what new things he would discover and witness this night.

Ryo sighed heavily as he looked around trying to find something to do. Rather he had something to do and it was head to the Colosseum. He had heard that Shinobi could apply to fight in the Colosseum, so he figured this would be a good outlet for his time. So, with that idea in mind he made his way to the place ready to fight in a sparring battle. As he arrived there was a place to sign up in order to participate in the fights. As he approached the spot he smiled signing up right away. The man looked up at him “You’re just in time. There is already someone waiting for a fight. Arena three.”

This was all the information that Ryo needed before he did just that and headed towards Arena three. He headed into the Arena traveling down the length of the passageway wondering just who it was that was waiting for him, what kind of person, ninja, and fighter they were. He had many skills himself, but it was likely that he would fight someone who was nearly as skilled as he was if not more so. It didn’t take him all that long to clear the passageway and when he did he beheld another ninja.

On this evening Ryo was wearing the black shinobi pants he usually wore, and kept his long-sleeved blue shirt under a grey shirt today. His silver hair was kept out of his face by his forehead protector, and hanging from the right hip of his belt was a slab of leather holding tightly to a ninja scroll. He looked over Nakazao bowing lightly “The name is Ryo.” He said only sounding slightly interested. He looked around the arena turning slowly before he faced Nakazao again giving a soft tsk sound “I kinda remember this place being a lot bigger, I guess that’s what happens when you’re a kid.” He looked to Nakazao with a slightly amused smile before nodding his head “Let’s have a good fair fight.”

Nakazo watched as who he assumed was to be his opponent emerged from the tunnel, coming into view in the floodlit arena. He studied him as he approached, trying to size up his competition as best he could. Nakazo noted that the boy was a few years younger than himself, and couldn't have been much more than five feet tall. Best not to underestimate him, he looks to be a genin after all, he thought. The Ashitaka had fought many opponents in his short career as a ninja, and he learned early on that sometimes the younger they were, the most dangerous they could be. His get up was simple, black pants with a grey shirt. The most striking feature was his silvery hair, under which blue eyes sat, much like his own. Finally he spotted a ninja scroll on the boy's belt, the likes of which he recognized were usually for summoning some sort of item. Nakazo was instantly curious as to what the scroll's purpose was, and was eager to get started.

"I'm Nakazo of the clan Ashitaka, it's a pleasure to meet you. Thanks for coming tonight," he replied at Ryo's introduction. They exchanged some small talk before finally assuming the position to start the fight. Nakazo held up his fingers in the tradition shinobi gesture at the beginning of duels, and when it was reciprocated he would start the fight.

The duel began and Nakazo was quick to reach into his ninja pouch. His fingers found the three shuriken inside and latched on to them. In one swift motion he brought his right arm over his chest, and then swung it outwards in an arc. All three shuriken flew off his fingers and spun towards Ryo, whistling through the air as they did so. His aim wasn't as precise with the shuriken as it normally was.  He was mostly using them as a distraction technique so he could use his next jutsu, and to have them already placed on the battlefield for one of his typical maneuvers later. Nakazo then began to summon up his chakra inside his body. He willed it outwards and commanded it to harden the skin around his body. This technique was an Ashitaka ability that all clan members learned. It allowed the user to  harden their skin to defend against both physical and chakra based attacks. With his defense up he waited in a crouched position, prepared for whatever would come next.

Ryo looked over his opponent, he was a few years older, but that didn’t always mean a typical advantage over another. Still, it was not in his nature to underestimate people, and seeing as he was fairly calm he could actually think and not lose his mind. Now he was ready to begin his battle. He thought that his chances were okay, but he wouldn’t underestimate his foe as he wouldn’t have that luxury either. He slowly ran his fingers over the purple tear drop tattoos under his eyes nodding his head in greeting. As the other bowed to introduce himself and set the match to start Ryo held much the same greeting speaking him “Ryo, of the Knetegawa clan.” Was all he said before the battle was started. The key difference in the way he gave the salute to start the battle was that his scroll was in hand unwrapped and ready to go.

The moment the battle started Ryo flexed his fingers to let the scroll open. It was facing him so he pressed his hand to the seal and in a great puff of smoke his puppet appeared in front of him. Thankfully it appeared just in time to catch two of the three Shuriken in the side of its body the weapons sharp enough to stick fast into the puppet. The third grazed by the puppet’s tail as Nakazo hadn’t been going for precise aiming rather just distraction and it clattered behind Ryo somewhere in the arena. The puppet was fairly large in size so it helped to hide Ryo and protect him. With the breathing room made by Nakazo using the defensive jutsu Ryo had plenty of time to attach his chakra strings to Kuro making sure he used his best strings focusing on the control of this singular puppet. He also touched Kuro with one hand sending some of his chakra into it as a safety precaution for the future of the fight. Now he snapped his hands moving the strings which shot the puppet forward flying/running towards the other sand Shinobi.

As he got to a three-meter range Ryo twitched his right index which caused Kuro’s mouth to open from his mouth shot three Senbon in the shape of a triangle right at Nakazo’s chest. Ryo decided to give fight closing the distance between his puppet and opponent. As he did he would twitch his left index finger and from inside of Kuro’s tail a sword would come springing out acting like a stinger on a scorpion’s tail and the puppet swung it in a horizontal slash aiming to maim the older shinobi. It was clear that Ryo didn’t believe in holding back in a fight. Of course, while doing this Ryo was a good 15 meters away, so it was some distance but well within the range of his strings. On the off chance Nakazo tried to come at Ryo directly as was want to do then he would be ready to pull his puppet back towards him in order to guard.

Nakazo watched as his three shuriken spun through the air towards Ryo. They were a few meters away when a puff of smoke appeared between them and their intended target. Nakazo quickly realized it was a puppet, and the thought of fighting such an opponent excited him. I've never had the pleasure of fighting a Kugutsu user before, he thought to himself, let's see what this thing can do. The puppet was in the form of a man sized wolf, and had long black fur covering the wooden frame underneath. Two of the shuriken cut into the beast, sticking out from the fur. The other one just barely grazed its tail, spinning away from the pair harmlessly. It's two on one now, he thought, the beast looking menacingly at him in the distance. He tried to formulate a plan of attack for fighting such an opponent. Nakazo figured his best bet would be to just take out the puppet first before trying to fight its master. I know that puppet users need chakra strings to control their creations, so there's only so much he can do at the same time. If I attack Ryo himself not only will he be free to dodge and avoid me, but I'll have to deal with the puppet attacking me from behind.

With a rough strategy set he then began to focus on the chakra inside himself. He willed it to harden his skin, using a very precise control to protect his body from harm. This was the Chakra Defense of his clan, one of the first abilities he had learned. I'm going to need this if I want any chance at winning this fight. He had no idea what sort of weaponry the puppet was packing, but he knew based on what he had seen before that they could store some deadly things inside those bodies. His defense finished just in time, coating his body with a thin layer of chakra for protection. The puppet was already flying towards him as he finished, and it opened its mouth when it was about three meters away. Senbon shot outwards in a triangle shape, and Nakazo instinctively breathed outwards, coating his breath with wind nature. This was his Wind Stream ability, a purely supplementary technique used for just an occasion. A gust of wind escaped his mouth and made contact with the three Senbon, knocking them aside, causing them to fall just off to his side a meter away.

Nakazo smirked at his success, but the puppet still flew forwards, intent on dealing harm. No time to get cocky. A sword sprung out of the tail, and then slashed out at Nakazo, much like the stinger of a scorpion. It came across horizontally, and there was no time for him to dodge this one. I need to trust in my defense. It was a scary thing relying on something that one couldn't actually see, but he had no choice. His left arm came up to meet the blade, successfully blocking the sharp edge. Nakazo felt his defense shudder at the effort, and he knew another such attack would spell the end of his jutsu. His right arm jabbed forward in a counterattack while his left parried the blade. He aimed straight for the puppet's chest, simply trying to hit the easiest target. Nakazo would then kick backwards off the sand, trying to put some distance between himself and the puppet while he gathered more chakra in his throat, but this time using fire nature instead of wind. He took a sharp breath in while holding the Tiger hand seal and then exhaled it all at once. A ball of fireball materialized and shot forward from his mouth. It sped towards the puppet, scorching the air around it as it did so. Nakazo knew it was dangerous to use a technique like that at close range, but it was a risk he was willing to take. In his mind he thought that either the puppet would dodge the attack and give him more breathing room, or that it would press its attack and suffer the damage of the fireball. He would have to trust that his defense would hold here, as there wouldn't be much he could do to dodge at this point.

Ryo was fairly impressed with the fact that this person was capable of deflecting his Senbon launcher with such ease of success. It was a fun challenge to have when someone was able to completely ignore a puppet’s hidden weapon. Well, ignore was probably the wrong word choice, but still it was impressive if not a little frustrating. Still, he was expecting such a thing to happen simply because there was no other choice in the matter. He was also giving his puppet a much needed intense test run. The way his puppet moved so organically was beautiful, and he did truly look like a real wolf terrifying, but beautiful at the same time. His face burst out in blush of his hot desire to see his puppet work successfully.

Of course, he wasn’t completely distracted by his artistry as what Nakazo wasn’t likely to notice with how intensely Kuro was coming after him was that Ryo was closing in as well. Unlike most Puppeteers Knetegawa weren’t afraid to get up close and personal with battles, nor did they have a weakness against Taijutsu that most others seemed to have. Most notably the Knetegawa clan’s biggest Rival for puppet master clan the Chikamatsu. So, at the present he was closing in making himself only a meter ten meters away, but he made sure to keep Kuro on the offensive so that Nakazo, wouldn’t be able to devote much time to noticing such a thing. As Nakazo tried to land a blow against Kuro’s chest Ryo made the wolf dance away out of the path of the attack. It was thanks to the power of his focused threads that he could do this manipulate his puppet with the skill that would be astounding to all. The way Kuro moved was almost like he was a living wolf not just a puppet.

The blade danced in front of Kuro’s face and front to keep Nakazo from advancing. All the while he was slowly retreating giving Nakazo the ground he needed, but also giving Ryo the time that was his want at the moment. As both shinobi had some breathing room they were both able to weave their hand seals with the desired effects. While Nakazo was in the air giving himself some space with Kuro, Ryo was already weaving his own hand seals with his right hand. One skill he had developed was the one to use a puppet and also weave hand seals for Jutsu with only one hand. The Knetegawa were determined to be the best puppet masters and the only way to do that was to eliminate the weaknesses that were traditionally associated with Kugutsu users. Now the moment Nakazo landed Ryo’s hand seals were finished and he unleashed his jutsu.

With a sharp snap of his right hand upwards from the ground he created a water jet that came from the ground cutting a deep rivet into it as it traveled towards Nakazo even as he sent his giant Fireball towards Kuro. There was no way that Ryo could completely protect Kuro from the fate that was going to befall him, but he still pulled on the strings with all his might beckoning his lovely creation to hurry back to him in a desperate attempt to save him. He was successful to some degree and recalled Kuro to his side, but the puppet was smoking and the fur was severely damaged in many places from the flames and heat of the fireball. The left side of Kuro’s body was burnt and damaged. It would have to be repairs for the beautiful Kuro.

Ryo’s eyes flashed red as he noticed all of these tragic damages to his puppet and he whipped his head around to follow his opponent “You filth!” he screamed before moving his arms and sending his puppet forward once more but with the speed of a real human this time “You’ve damaged my beloved Kuro! How dare you hurt him in such a manner! Kill me, and hurt me all you want, but harming my child is unforgiveable! Prepare to die!” he shouted his temper clearly getting the better of him as it was want to do when his beloved puppets. The stream of water that he had sent towards Nakazo surged towards the other Sand shinobi in order to slice him with the high powered water that was hunting him down.

While this distraction was in place Ryo made Kuro surge towards the other shinobi. He was vicious in this attack making Kuro lash out with a horizontal slash at Nakazo again, before snapping it up and slashing a vertical arc in front of the black wolf puppet. Again and again it continued this pattern Ryo’s face twisting into one of rage, agony, and utter hatred. He had snapped, and it was plain on his face and in the way he was using his Kuro.

Nakazo's right fist hit empty air as Kuro danced away from the blow. He's quick to react, he noted as he just stepped from the beast, this is a skilled puppetry user. Nakazo kicked back off the sand and made the hand seal for his fireball jutsu. The chakra gathered in his throat and then merged with the fire nature. He expelled it all at once, and it began rushing towards the puppet. Nakazo was so focused on fighting the puppet that he had ignored Ryo completely in those moments, and it allowed his opponent time to attack. The puppet was singed badly by his fireball and the Ashitaka almost began to smile at the result, but the jet of water rushing towards him quickly brought the genin back down to earth. The water was literally slicing through the ground as it came upon Nakazo who was caught completely off guard, hanging uselessly in the air after just completing a jutsu of his own. How did he manage this? Was the only thought he could muster. Clearly he had misjudged his opponent's capabilities, and he was about to pay the price for it. The water connected with the right side of his body, pushing violently against what was left of his Chakra Defense. His ability couldn't hold out for long against the powerful attack, and it faltered after a moment. A sharp line of water cut across his right arm, leaving a long gash a couple inches long and an inch deep. Red soon appeared alongside the wound, and he was now bleeding profusely.

Ryo had yelled something in that moment, but Nakazo didn't fully pick it up. He was too focused on surviving, though it seemed whatever he was saying had left him and his puppet rather angry. He took some solace in the fact the he had managed to hit the puppet with his fireball, even though he sustained damage himself. The construct was still moving though, but the ninja decided perhaps it was time to switch up his strategy. The beast left him no room to recover and surged towards him, slashing widely with it's sword, again and again. He dodged the first slash, but the second nicked him across the chest, leaving a thin but still drawing blood. He grunted in pain, but tried to ignore it as best he could, pushing it to the back of his mind. Nakazo rolled to the left away from the puppet and began his counterattack. He quickly drew the last thing left in his pouch, the kunai, and tossed it Ryo. He aimed in the easiest spot to hit, his torso. Nakazo had purposely rolled towards the senbon the puppet had fired earlier. The Ashitaka formed the hand seals necessary for the Ninja Tile Shuriken jutsu, and focused chakra into the three senbon poking out of the sand. He was holding on to his ability, waiting to fire it as soon as Ryo was finished reacting to the kunai, and then fired it off, sending the three senbon through the air at him. I hope this works, he thought, blood pouring out of his wounds, I've not got a lot of fight left in me.

Ryo watched as the Ashitaka was injured by the water jutsu that had come to hunt him down. It was constantly homing in on him so it would prove difficult for the other sand shinobi to get away from it or to put up that much of a counter attack. Yet, counter attack he seemed to want to do. Of course, with Kuro baring down on him slashing at him as rapidly as the shinobi fought for himself. It was at this point that a wicked idea came to Ryo. He didn’t have to deliver the final blow, as his Jutsu was still active and hunting down the shinobi, all he had to do was wait it out and make it harder to defend against. With this terrible intention in his heart he licked his lips slowly holding up the single sign he needed with one hand. No sooner had Nakazo rolled away than Ryo began to exhale a great thick cloud of deep mists. As he did this he slowly began to spin recalling Kuro to him as fast as he could in the same instance. The mists were spread out due to the spinning and soon they covered the 15 meter radius around them.

This was due in large to the fact that Ryo had slowly been closing the distance and there was only a total of 8 meters between the two ninja. He had made sure of this, and so now they were both completely caught up in the visual obstruction of the Jutsu that was being used. Releasing this jutsu however forced him to take the Kunai, but as he was spinning in a circle he removed the easy target of his chest and instead caught the Kunai in his right shoulder. He gave a scream of utter agony as the blade sank in deep into his flesh. Still, his jutsu was done and now he sank to his knees hissing in pain before he forcefully removed the Kunai from his shoulder. This was painful to do as well, but he managed to pull it out and with a smirk he slowly licked his blood off of the blade “mmmm so this is an injury…Well, my right arm might be weaker and possibly useless, but I have done what I needed to.” He muttered to himself crouching down behind the bulk of his great lupine puppet Kuro.

The jutsu that Nakazo fired wasn’t stopped and he had the full ability to cast it and send the Senbon out into the mist. Despite his intense cover Ryo wasn’t about to stay still however and he was quick to back peddle in a zigzag keeping Kuro directly in front of him as the Senbon shot into the mist. The other thing that the mist hid from both Nakazo and Ryo’s sight however was the still moving and hunting stream of slicing water that was once again closing on Nakazo. Ryo knew his slicing water would last for a bit longer yet, and so he didn’t need to see in order to hurt his opponent, but Nakazo would need to see in order to avoid it. With his speed and the lack of sight Ryo was able to avoid two of the three Senbon that were sent towards him. However, he heard the sound of one hitting wood and his heart stopped dropping him to the floor of the arena again “No! Stop hurting my Kuro!” he screamed in anger trying to keep himself from losing his mind once more. He made it a point that he would add this Nakazo to his list once this was over.

Nakazo watched as his kunai flew through the air towards Ryo. His opponent had already started to spin at this point, and a mist was spewing out of his mouth. The area around him began to obscure itself from Nakazo's vision, but he saw the kunai connect with Ryo's shoulder before he disappeared from his vision. Kuro being recalled by its master was the last thing Nakazo saw, and he watched it fly backwards, entering the intense fog. The mist was close enough to Nakazo that it had obscured him as well, and they were both hidden from each other within it. Nakazo was already halfway through his jutsu when the mist completely obscured the puppet and its owner, but he decided it was too late now to stop. It's now or never, maybe I'll get lucky with this. He followed through casting his ability, and he saw the the Senbon float upwards beside him and flew into the mist and out of view. Nakazo approximated what he assumed Ryo's position was inside of the mist but he had no idea if it hit, or even where his opponents were. This is bad, he thought, I've got to get out of here.

As if to spur Nakazo on he heard the water jet slicing through the water towards his position. Got to move! He ran out of the mist as fast as he could, doing a complete 180 and moving away from Ryo and the mist as fast as possible. The Ashitaka wasn't sure what the range on this ability was, but he knew he needed to run away from it in the proper direction. He hoped the ability would run out of steam soon. Because I'm almost done here, he spoke to himself in his head. Nakazo exited the mist as the water jet did at the same time. He turned and jumped, and the water sliced along the side of his leg, catching mostly his pant leg, tearing a section of it clean off, but also cutting a thin gash along his skin. Nakazo landed on the ground in pain, taking a knee as he no longer had the energy to stand. He was bleeding from three different wounds, and his breath was labored. From inside the mist he heard Ryo shout something about his Kuro, and he assumed that the Senbon must have hit after all. That brought some small solace to the Ashitaka, he won the battle but had lost the war.

"I surrender!" He called back to the mist, his good arm cradling the one that was bleeding. "You win, I'm spent..." He felt woozy from the pain and blood loss, but tried to keep his composure, not wanting to appear weak to the fellow Genin.

Ryo was quick to pull himself out of the mist when he heard his beloved puppet get struck by a Senbon. No sooner had he emerged than he looked around furiously trying to see if anyone was going to come after him. Thankfully no one was coming for him and he pulled the Senbon from his puppet tucking it back into his pouch. The kunai he had pulled from his arm was already sheathed away, and it was now his for a time. He looked around desperately trying to find his opponent making sure that he wasn’t going to die, or be attacked soon. After he heard the sound of surrender he suddenly licked his lips and held up his hands releasing his jutsu with the action. The mists vanished, and the water crashed down to the ground splattering it in several directions. He found the opponent he was facing and with that he quickly pulled his scroll out placing Kuro on top of the sealing formula and sealed him away into the scroll again.

With that done he rushed over to the other ninja quickly pulling his shirt, and his under shirt off as fast as he could. He cut his shirt in half at the seam to create a large cover using the Kunai that he had picked up. He didn’t know much about medical Ninjutsu, or skills, but the basic idea of stopping any kind of bleeding was to cover it in a bandage of some kind. He knelt next to the other shinobi “Surrender accepted. Now hold still.” He said wrapping his shirt as many times as he could before he tucked it into the wrappings. He looked at the other shinobi being very careful “Do you have any other wounds?” he asked before looking and seeing the leg wounds “Hold still, and don’t move.” He moved around to the leg and after slicing the long sleeved shirt to make it even longer he bound what he guessed was the worst of the cuts.

He looked up at Nakazo smiling slightly “You hurt my Kuro, and for that I had to make you hurt. I am sorry about that, but we are not enemies here.” He said rather simply sitting back and relaxing in the sand of the arena now before he pulled out his scroll and kept opening it until he was well beyond the seal and began to scribble down something using a senbon and his blood to write with using it more fine than a quill or a brush and then blowing on it “Although I have to add hurting my puppets to my slights list. Anyway, we aren’t enemies and we both serve the sand. So, hold on just a minute and don’t hurt me.” He reached under Nakazo trying to help him to his feet “We need to get you to a hospital. Oh, and thank you for letting me win. I appreciate you holding back on me.” He said sincerely.

The mist disappeared moments after Nakazo gave his surrender. Water that hung in the air came crashing down to the sand, and all that remained was a minor fog, though that too was soon blown away by the strong winds of Sunagakure. His opponent pulled out the scroll and Kuro was placed on to of the sealing formula. The puppet disappeared in a puff of smoke, after which Ryo wrapped up the scroll and placed it back in its holster. Ryo ran towards Nakazo, pulling off his shirt as he arrived at his side. The boy stated that the surrender was accepted, and he began wrapping up Nakazo's injuries. I've never seen a bandage wrapped quite like that, he thought to himself, chuckling slightly. It didn't look like Ryo had any formal training or knew much about Medical Ninjutsu, but he had the basic idea right. Besides, it's the thought that counts. One moment they were enemies, but the next they were just Shinobi of the Sand. That thought brought a warmth to Nakazo's heart, knowing that their allegiance to their village could bring people together in such a way.

Before long Ryo had all of Nakazo's wounds wrapped up in his makeshift bandages. They did the trick, and for the most part successfully stopped the bleeding from his chest and leg wounds. Though red started to appear and begin seeping through the cloth. Nakazo knew he would still need a hospital visit to get himself sorted out, but he was glad of Ryo for helping him. His opponent was clearly upset over his puppet getting hurt, and Nakazo thought that interesting. To him the puppet was just a creature, an object, but he was beginning to understand to Ryo it was a very different thing. He cared about it in a way that one would care for another person. "I'm sorry for hurting Kuro," he offered by way of apology. "I hope you can get him fixed up without too much trouble. If you need help with him just let me know, I do owe you one." He finished, nodding at his bandaged wounds. Ryo pulled out his scroll again and began writing down something, going on about adding Nakazo's name to his slight list. He smiled at that, he's a good kid, but I guess I do deserve that, I did hurt Kuro rather badly. Finally he helped up the Ashitaka, and offered to him get him to the hospital, which Nakazo gladly accepted.

The conversation finished with Ryo thanking Nakazo for letting him win. He didn't see it that way however. "You won on your own merit," Nakazo replied, "next time go easy on me." He joked as the pair headed off out of the Colosseum. His chest and arms were quite sore from the damage he sustained, but the ninja was starting to feel better already. He had learned much from his fight with Ryo, and had a new found appreciation for Kugutsu. These puppets can be quite powerful, I'll need to find a way to deal with them in the future. "Thank you for the bandages and the help up," he said, grateful for the kindness his former opponent had shown him. "I hope our next meeting we are fighting on the same side."

Ryo knew that his work was shoddy at best, but that wasn’t his fault nor was there much to be done about it right at that moment in time. He was not trained in how to do this in any sense of the word, and so he would have to do the best he could. The words that Nakazo spoke made Ryo smile slightly. He looked at the older shinobi with a slight smile. As he looked at the older shinobi he shrugged “Kuro doesn’t hold grudges really, and while I do I will forgive you for today. You’re down to two strikes today before I let you just stay out of my face. I’ll be able to give him a proper fix after we get you to the hospital.” he said still helping the older shinobi out of the arena and towards the hospital.

The compliment however made him stop and think wondering what he was going to do, and what he did that was impressive. He only shrugged lightly “I only won because you didn’t know I could use Jutsu in tandem with my puppet strings. However, I am not sure I could do it with two puppets, and that could be a problem. I think I’ll have to push up the speed of my next child’s birth as soon as possible. Kuro needs a brother, and I need a puppet to make up for Kuro’s weaknesses. I think I’ll name him Shiro. Get it?!” he said with a soft bit of laughter as if he was making some big joke out of it. He didn’t have a great sense of humor, or rather he had a very specific sense of humor. Presently he shrugged again moving through towards the hospital and it was in sight now “Ah, well that’s possible. However, I do hope you’ll help me test Shiro when he is born. Yet, that won’t be for a bit of time. I will try my best not to overwhelm you.” He said before guiding the older shinobi into the hospital
