Why. Just why did he decide to pick up yet ANOTHER ridiculous mission instead of going straight to the Living Quarters and plopping on to that comfy bed and heading to... sleeeeeppp... But no, as if instinctual, rather than making that turn into the street that led to the Living Quarters, he, in his drowsiness, went to the administration building, picked up the public dossier, found a short term mission he was alright with doing, and signed himself up for it! By the time he realized that what he really wanted to do was to catch some damn Zs after having gone through countless adventures and five missions, it was way too late to turn back at this point, as he was already making his way to the jail where an infamous drug lord was being held captive. His mission was to escort this dude to the execution grounds, where he'd be killed. While he held the unorthodox, and often ridiculed, belief that the state should not be involved in murder, he didn't have too many qualms about a violent drug lord, although he preferred a life sentence for a piece of filth like that. Though really, at least in his opinion, the best way to cut off the power of these drug lords was not to kill them but to allow for legal drug use, bringing their trade out in the open. After all, killing them didn't do anything; as long as there was a demand for drugs, there would always be new suppliers popping up.

Why was the young chuunin so intent on cramming in as many missions and adventures in the shortest time possible at the expense of his sleep, you might ask? Well, Lord Kenta, the Hokage, the man named "Satoshi", and the genin "escort" were set to arrive soon to meet up with Kashizudoto, who was serving as the front messenger for this mission, although the group was very late by Kashizudoto's standards. His goal was to use his time in Iwagakure to be twice as great as he was when he left Konoha. It was a very... extreme goal; however, Kashizudoto was an idealistic young man, so he pushed as much as he could for it, doing the most difficult short term missions here that he'd ever done in his life and venturing to some of the most dangerous places in Iwa to improve his physical and mental capabilities. The result? He was so damn tired!

The chuunin walked towards the jail in a really awkward fashion, his eyes half shut. It would appear to most around him as if he were a) sleepwalking or b) on drugs (kind or ironic considering the mission that he was going on). His Konoha hitae-ate sort of slumped down on his forehead as he walked with his head tilted down a little. At this point, his black robe, a gift from Master Piandao after Kashizudoto finished his apprenticeship under him, was noticeably dirty from all the crazy adventures he'd gone on, whether it was fighting monsters, criminals, or even tunnels. On his left hip was his bamboo sheath that contained the Tentetsutou or the Sword of Heaven, a blade that Kashizudoto forged out of a four billion year old meteorite during his apprenticeship under Master Piandao. Almost as if someone had used a suiton jutsu on it, it was somehow in mint condition after all of this, one could see the onyx black glimmer of the blade from a mile away. Next to the sheath was a coil of wire totaling about fifty meters. This thing had been extremely useful during his adventures here, whether it was for backtracking his steps, traversing chasms safely, or propelling himself towards a surface. He could also use it to set up traps for enemy shinobi and rappelling up cliffs, although he could use the Supernatural Walking Practice for the latter. Under the coil of wire, on his upper left thigh, was a holster containing some basic projectiles: one kunai and three shuriken, nothing special.

"Halt, foreigner!" screamed a guard at the entrance. Hah, that scrub must have thought that the sleepwalking chuunin was an addict trying to free the drug lord so that he'd get some of that coke.

"No thanks, he said, straightening out his Konoha hitae-ate, his half-shut eyes still looking down at the road rather than in front, "I'm here to escort the criminal to the execution grounds." To appear professional, he struggled and finally lifted up his head, pulling out the mission scroll from his pocket and showing it to the guard who allowed him through.

"Heh heh, Iwa requires Konoha's little ones to go escort a great criminal such as me," said the bandit as he was released, "I feel insulted."

"Shut up," said one of the guards, "There's a compression seal on his back. Now you're clear to head off. He'd have to keep a close eye on this guy's back then... if he could keep his eyes open, at least.

"You look a little high yourself," said the drug lord as they made their way to the execution site, "Want some heroine? Maybe cocaine suits a young 'un like you? I've got sources, if you let me free, that is. He couldn't blame the guy for thinking he looked like that. He was dirty all over, and he was basically sleepwalking.

"No," he said firmly, "Just a little exhausted, that's all. Don't try any funny business though." A few seconds later, he questioned his judgement on revealing to the drug lord his condition of sleepiness, that could give him some hints later on; after all, he was half asleep, so he didn't have the best mental clarity at this time. The drug lord would go on asking him questions in an effort to extract information; he would either not respond or would dodge the question when given depending on what it was asking.

All was well until a projectile was thrown onto the ground. What was this? He'd get the answer soon, as smoke would fill the air and cover up the scene. When it cleared up, he saw a small figure, a petite little girl who was probably a little younger than him. In a touch of the drug lord's back, the seal was disarmed by the girl and now the man could run free. Shit. He was tired and there were some problems. The two began to attack Kashizudoto while he was barely awake. In the state that he was in, he could only deal with problems one by one, so he made a shadow clone to deal with the girl; however, the clone was just as tired as Kashizudoto was. This would be extremely difficult; it could even by deadly if Kashizudoto couldn't pull this off correctly.

Gosh dammit, this drug lord and the little girl were gonna be a pain in the ass to fight. Especially considering that he didn't want to harm the little girl too much. He and his shadow clone both unsheathed their katanas, which glimmered onyx black in the sunlight.

The tired shadow clone dashed as fast as he could, which was a little more sluggish than usual considering his current state, towards the little girl, slashing around his katana to knock her off balance, not to seriously injure her. Luckily for the girl, the shadow clone's strikes were disoriented due to his sleep deprivation, so she dodged and punched the clone hard in the gut, sending it flying back. However, it, after a few seconds of its head spinning, got back up and charged again with greater passion this time. Unfortunately, the shadow clone was not able to land a hit in this state; however, it kept the little girl on her toes. Damn, sleep deprivation was hell.

Meanwhile, the original, just as tired as the shadow clone, charged at the drug lord, though with more ferocity than his shadow doppleganger. The drug lord shot out a fiery dragon head of some sort out of his mouth; it was all a blur, but Kashizudoto instinctively made the snake seal with his left hand, creating a chakra barrier to take the brunt of the offense. Afterwards, he continued his assault, putting the drug lord on the defensive just like his daughter.

At this point, it seemed clear that the fatigued kid and his clone would eventually beat the two (there was a minor chance that he would pass out from exhaustion before that though). As a result, the girl jumped in front of the original Kashizudoto as the drug lord leaped out in an attempt to make an escape, the crazy girl trying a suicide bombing by setting off five explosive tags. Dammit, dammit, dammit! One sheep. Two sheep... No, no think!

He eventually got back to his senses, grabbed the girl against her will, and jumped out just in the knick of time, as the explosions went off. Damn, that was close. But... he.... was drifting off to... Three sheep... Four sheep... THUD! He landed on the ground and made a sharp cry. The drug lord looked back to laugh at the chuunin, which was a grave mistake. Kashizudoto quickly took out his wire, tied it up into a loop, began swinging it like a lasso, and launched it at the drug lord. As a result, the man was apprehended, along with his daughter who clearly seemed to be knocked unconscious by their thud on the ground, though her heart still seemed to be beating (at least he thought). The sleepy chuunin would then continue escorting the two to the execution grounds, where the man would be killed (although Kashizudoto wouldn't watch).
