Kenta Inuzuka

Kenta Inuzuka

D-rank
Alright; he desperately needed a break from life and mental headaches. What better way then training a new and useful jutsu. He'd seen Temporary Paralysis in action before and it was a beast of a jutsu. Hell the ANBU captain he'd seen using it had stopped a friggin stampede with it. It was INSANE. One second; half a dozen spooked horses where running in circles around the pins; nearly taking out the fences and crushing the hands trying to calm them; when suddenly an ANBU patrol appeared. The captain removed enough of his mask for his eyes to be seen; and all the horses dropped completely frozen. He'd never seen anything like it before then, and the memory of the jutsu had stuck with him from his genin years on. He'd been reading up on the jutsu lately; interest resparked in the wake of many... incidents, in which he'd wished he'd had it. Jesus, that would make meetings with the village elders so easy; just knock them out, rageragerage, and be done with it. Yummy thought.

So then, everyone he'd spoken to about the jutsu said that the easiest way to visualize what you wanted was to think of steel chains, erupting from the nearest solid surface to bind the target. Easy indeed. The hard part was making his chakra respond and do just that; without being visible. That was the part no one could explain; everyone had a different, half assed answer for him there. It made sense in a way; everyone's chakra handled differently, and something like a paralysis ninjutsu was just far enough out of the box to really screw most people up. Some never managed it, turning to wires and ropes instead of jutsu; or else barrier jutsu of some sort. Lord knows he had his fair share of barriers, but it'd be nice to have something that couldn't be seen; disabled before hand, any of that. Just walk up, look at a person, and bind them.

Kenta was borrowing a few of the dogs for this training; Yuki, Akai, Aki, and a couple of the unassigned pack dogs. They'd enjoy the fresh air, and all they had to do was play around while he worked this out. Better safe with the pack dogs then trying it out on random animals. Then again, Yuki wasn't doing much; just laying out in the sun with Aki while Akai tried to get them to play with their pack cousins. Neither was having any of it; they just wanted to sunbathe while they waited for Kenta to get working; between the kids and their puppies, the two large dogs where as worn out as Kenta was.

Said blonde was sitting in the shade under one of the many trees is the clan compound; enjoying the warmth without burning himself. A scroll with his notes on the jutsu was laid open at his feet as he went over it one last time before his first real attempt. He'd tried it out earlier, on a fly that was bugging him, but nothing had happened then. Too small a target, prolly.

Alright... he was good and refreshed on the concepts, the dogs where in the general area he needed, he had plenty of time to work. Good, good. Closing his eyes; he worked on the visualization part of the jutsu; using his ears to track the movements of the canines and the rest of the world. The sounds where so sharp to his ears that he was able to build a mental map that was so details; you would think that someone just removed the color on a photograph. This was due to his familiarity with his home lands; he knew every square inch of this place intimately. The dogs where blurs in his mental map; but that was fine. A blur with a mostly defined shape would work; he just needed to be able to imagine trapping them with the chains. Focusing was harder then it could have been, the urge to join in on the fun was strong at the moment; but he did eventually manage to tamp it down and work out the mental imagery. Yes... the chains where thick enough to bind, but not so thick that they could be escaped or where too heavy to move quickly. He needed something more like the chains of a swing then an anchor, after all.

In his mind he saw the chains laying pooled on the ground now, waiting to be used to bind the dogs as they passed. This would be about timing; as they where sprinting in wide circles and moving to quickly to just flail the chains about. Now was the time to wait and watch, get a feel for the movements. Not as difficult as it could have been; the rhythmic running of the dogs was well known to him, and they where moving at a fairly easy speed. Just a matter of picking up the chains and waiting.

And waiting...

And waiting...

He could nearly taste the instant, flinging them just right to catch one of the the older dog, Ranmaru. The chains draped over him and instantly tightened, free ends digging into the dirt to create the perfect hold. When he heard yelps of confusion his eyes snapped open; finding the very dog he'd tracked struggling on the ground, fighting against the invisible force holding him down.

Holy shit; that was beyond easy to learn.

Closing his eyes again; he release the chains and released a whistle; telling them to start scattering. He tried this a few more times; managing to catch more and more of the dogs at the same time as he worked. He sent them running again after the 6th try, but this time he opened his eyes for it. It was... more difficult; insanely so; but he knew what the feeling was now. That sense of incoming, an almost taste in his throat, a ghost of a scent; like metal, even. He threw the chains and caught all of them that time; holding them for as long as he could before the jutsu broke and they where free. Huh... a good few minutes; he'd need to work on that later. For now, good enough. A click of his tongue sent the dogs inside the main house for water and treats. They'd done a good job all of them. He'd feed the dogs, make sure everything was ready for when everyone else got home; then grab his kids from daycare and take them out for ice cream or something. They deserved a treat too; having to put up with him being gone so much.
