Lini

Lini

Lini woke up from his mid-day nap today he was headed to konoha for the first time, actually this would be his first time traveling someone without it being for school. He ate some lunch them got dressed in his finest tattered robe he chuckles at the thought. He was traveling with a guy named sunset another weird named fellow then again “Lini” was not one to talk about weird names. He walked down the stairs slowly and deliberately stopping only to great his neighbors they were nice people unaffected by the ninja world… for now but eventually like everyone else they would be affected. He climbed down the stairs then stopped at the front door he talked with the front desk manager for a good ten minutes he was early and thus he was in no rush.

He began to jog to the area they were supposed to meet at and began to contemplate what the guy would be like he had a similar name to the kage… maybe they were brothers or related in some way they were obviously members of the same clan that went without saying. He wanted to meet this guy maybe sparr with him a few 5rounds they weren’t that far off from each other the guy was only a chunin and Lini well he was a Senju genin kind of boosted him to a different category right? Probably not… but he did have some skill and power under his belt. Maybe he could get the guy to spar with him in konoha. That would ease the boredom of watching those idiots in the chunin exams. The only reason he was going was so that he could take a few missions and be promoted to chunin. Why watch a bunch of people fight for the easy way out of being a genin.

He approached the meeting spot with a smile then sat on a rock a few yards in front of the city gate he was tired of being a mistrusted genin maybe he would get some respect as a chunin, once again probably not but he would get respect one way or another even if it meant some people had to go missing, and some stuff had to go boom. He chuckled at the thought of senseless violence that would at least make people take him seriously. Before they try to kill him of course.

It was time for the Lightning Chuunin to finally leave Kumogakure for once. He did not know what to expect being away from the village for so long. He heard of the Chuunin exams being held. Aahh, the rememberance of his Chuunin Exam days, even though it was only last year that he was promoted to Chuunin. Getting out of his bed, he pushed himself to sit at least sit up and stretch for the early morning. Rubbing his eyes, his vision got a little blurry from the rubbing. This was not his day already. But that was beyond the point at hand. He had pushed his body to jump out of his bed to start his day. The sun was out and the beaming light shined everywhere. He had intel of going to Konohagakure. He was excited on the inside; but on the outside, it was all average to him. "This is going to be fun."

Getting on his clothes, his Kumogakure headset was properly set on his neck as a chain. He opened his window to get a view of Kumogakure. It was time to leave. He did not know how long he would be up in Konohagakure, but the journey sounded wonderful to take. He jumped from his window to the other and climbed to the rooftop of the house and stopped. The sun was glistening; shining. "I have someone waiting on me." He said, reminding himself to move quickly. He jumped from rooftop of each rooftop quickly and lightly, issuing the people in the house to hear light taps on their rooftops then nothing at all. This genin was a Senju, a master of the Wood Release. But wasn't the Senju suppose to be in Konoha? He guessed that they finally spread the clan. Good. Now; the matter at hand. He stopped at the last house near the pathway to the village gates, seeing no one there. He was early; or late.

He approached to the final meeting spot which was the Kumogakure village gate. He looked around and saw no one there at the time being. He did not particularly care that he was late. Better late then never. But being early was a good thing also. "Now where is this genin?" He spoke softly, showing a nonchalant; non-caring side. Midnight was gone so Sunset had no one to play with clan-wise. He leaned on the village gate, waiting. "..." Time was wasting; and Sunset did not like to wait for too long.

Lini saw the man pull walk up he smiled the man was more or less on time. He looked atr his watch it was about time that they walked on, but first time for the useless formalities of human conversation he approached the man with the most charming smile he could muster then began to talk to him,” hello there the name is Lini Senju… you must be sunset” He hated being indirect but most people seemed to prefer fakeness over some one treating you the way they actually feel about you, and thus he was forced to be polite.
He looked at his wrist which ironically held no watch then said, “well it’s time to go are you ready?” He does not wait for a response instead he begins walking through the city gate. He glances behind him to see if the Chunin was following him as he began hi walk to konoha. He knew that this was going to be a decently long walk so he decided to talk with the ninja so that they could pass the time and Lini wouldn’t seem like a complete ass. Partial ass was fine but if he was going to be traveling with this guy he could only afford to be somewhat stand offish not completely. “Have you ever been to konoha?” This trip was actually rather important to him this was probably the only chance he had of seeing his ancestor and learning about the senju clan. Kumo had no information about the Senju they weren’t founded by them.
The guy must have been at least somewhat strong him being related to the kage a rather high pedestal to be on. He would have to be on his toes should they do battle. The guy had an odd look to him he had extremely long hair he wore jewelry and his clothes were just odd. The guy had an air of uncaring as if it didn’t matter what people thought of him… interesting guy. He then asked the man, are you related to the kage?” He had already guessed that the man was but it was always better to know for sure rather than guess Guessing he had the kages abilities was stupid but knowing would allow him to know what to expect should they be attacked during their travels. He was also prepared to answer any questions the other man had it was only fair.

"If you are trying to stagger a smile, you are trying hard enough." Sunset said to the Senju genin as they continued onward to their destination to Konohagakure; the village Hidden in the leaves. So this was the Senju of Kumogakure; the first that Sunset had ever seen. Conversation was good, although the Senju was a talkative type. But it was not polite for Sunset to ignore the Senju at that. "Yes, I am Sunset. Nice to meet you Lini. Sunset said as he looked at Lini and studied his features. He was nice looking, but the more distinctive feature that came across Sunset was the scar on Lini's right eye. It was the color bright red. Sunset did want to ask what had happened, but it wouldn't be polite of him to say something that was probably personal to Lini at the moment.

Sunset saw Lini constantly looking at his watch and pondered to the fact that, Is his watch really that important? I guess time is of great essence to some point. Sunset thought to himself at the moment while they were walking, leaving their home village to travel to another in broad daylight. "I am ready." Sunset said as he walked with Lini. A question was being asked by Lini, saying that has Sunset ever been to Konoha before. "No. I heard they do have alot of strong shinobi there by the way." Sunset said, answering his question as they walked. Hmm... Konohagakure, Lini being a Senju. I guess this trip was somewhat important to Lini because Sunset really did not care about the trip to be honest. But he guessed that Lini wanted to trace back to where his ancestors started at the time. It was good to know about your ancestors and where they came from. Reason why Sunset stayed in Kumogakure for the time being.

On the way there, Lini had asked Sunset was he related to the Raikage. What probably gave it away was the jewelry, the name itself, and the clothing. Alot of people had addressed to Sunset as the Raikage's younger sibling, but Sunset immediately, yet politely, declined the fact and stated that he and Midnight were of the same clan. "Alot of people have asked me that. What gave it away was the jewelry, the name, and also the clothing. But no, I am not related to the raikage. We are just from the same clan, that is all." Sunset answered the question as their destination was short but still a good distance away from home.
