Santaku Nariko

Santaku Nariko

D-rank
Stupid Mass Murderer of Kiri Forest. Stupid Kiri Forest. Stupid world. First she had spend days surviving in Kiri's forest, ending up in the Swamp of Sorrows with that, as she searched for food and something that could point her in the right direction towards Konohagakure. Naturally, the wildlife harboured little civilisation, and animals didn't seem as cooperative as the puppet servants she was used to have around. Food wasn't readily available and baths were nowhere to be seen either. Her clothes had a few tears that were in need of repairs, and her hair was tangled to such a point she'd probably need a rake to get the knots out. This environment was so realistic, so uncaring for rules and regulations it was almost a shock.

Almost.

It was exhilarating to be in a place where all what she had learned was pointless, where all her screams and pouts fell into deaf man's ears, where her nails would actually since no one else was about to take care of her - actually, that wasn't that great - and now she she was travelling into a random direction she thought would bring her to Konohagakure. The idea of warm lands, a good soak in the hot tubs, more culture and art to discover and... whatever more there was to be found in the Land of Fire was just what she'd need.

Then after a good break, she'd wander around to see what structure required a rework or two. Graffiti, sabotage, mayhem, mind manipulations, just an occasional prank, and perhaps severing a limb or two... Konohagakure had to have plenty of things to keep her occupied with. She might find a puppet to play with, perhaps rob a person for the kicks, or some weak-willed moron to command around just because she can. But since she had not the slightest of ideas how the Land of Fire looked like, she was quite eager to indulge her curiosity. Hopefully it wouldn't end up being a bore.

Little did Nariko know that the path she was walking wouldn't lead her to Konoha. Since she was completely lost and barely had a proper sense of orientation while she drifted feverishly between the real world and some odd, freakish overlapping layer of reality - those last mushrooms might not exactly have been the right kind to eat - she guessed all she could do was following the glowing blue lights that danced like lanterns in front of her.

In fact, there wasn't just the wisps. The leaves suddenly seemed brighter than usual and the grass seemed to whisper nonsensical things. While some trees had some eye-like marks in their trunk, they were now blinking drowsily at her, barely interested in the wobbly walking she was doing to reach her destination. With every step more, the wind whispered louder, until it became unbearably loud - it was like having a thousand whispering women as they gossiped about her walking demeanour. So unfitting for a lady of the higher class like her. Just look at her go. Disgraceful. She seriously shouldn't be drinking this much. Right? Nariko sighed deeply, and her sigh took form into a local storm as the wordless noise bounced around against the trunks. This was such an odd forest. Or rather such an odd forest-no-longer, as the vertical maw of trunks and leaves opened to reveal giant stony? stoned? teeth littered with fog and buildings. It looked like half a maw of a grotesque giant that hadn't bothered to brush its teeth in... who knows how long.

... Wait, this wasn't Konohagakure.
