Dead
A few days ago

A small boy was alone in the forest training hard, as he lifted rocks and was throwing them into the air. As the rock went high up into the air he took a deep breathe before focusing as he dashed with a large back step as he reached down to grab his sword as it lay on the ground. The rock seeming to float in the air before coming to a stop that lasted but a moment.

That was when he drew the blade as he dashed the rock falling as he seemed to pass through the rock as it shattered into fragments of dust as his blade had some electricity flowing from it as he looked down taking a deep breath as he looked down. He thought to himself it was not enough, he was half a second too slow as a small little stone fell to the side showing he did not get the entire rock.

His mood changed as an aura filled the air, an intent far different from before as a woman in the distance looked on in awe and to some degree with fear. She had chosen this boy to serve them, but it seemed more like he was a threat making her want him even more. As she looked on and noticed something she disappeared into the shadows as the boy raised his sword up to face towards the sky.

He had been developing a secret technique which he had not revealed to anyone and was busy training in secret. As chakra in the air became dense it was hard to determine where exactly the chakra was gathering but it seemed as if the entire location was within his range. It was unknown what had happened as the boy had left the area, but where there once was a forest field full of trees, was a crater which had filled with water. An Oasis in the middle of a forest that did not exist before. The boy was beginning to change the world in ways that he had not truly done before, as some travellers had to change their maps and route as this lake had become a bit of an inconvenience. The rumors of it spread, as to who had done this it remained a mystery.

Yesterday

Over the past few days many new lakes and some occasional hot springs had appeared during the child's continuous training. It was only this day that things changed when he heard that his mother was going to be in the village and it seems they were going to be gathering eggs together.

The boy looked up into the sky has he held his hand up in the air trying to grasp at the moon which he felt was the only egg truly worth having.

"I almost got it"

As he took his hand and placed it on his chest he felt his heart racing as he began to feel excited to finally be able to see his mom again. He had changed and perhaps so too did she, either way he wanted to make her proud even though hunting eggs might not really be his specialty it was perfect as a chance to rest his swords.

The Day of the Hunt

A small boy dressed in a casual black top that was loose as his blue eyes had a pale look to them, like mirrors of ice with a feel of water that could flow at any time. He waited by a tree by the lake for the moment of truth as he had his arms behind his head in a cool relaxing against the tree type of stance. He did not really get taller or change much at all in the years he had spent in Konoha, he had hoped to comeback sooner but his failure to find Mitsuhide and his inability to find time to face the Sousetsu was something that had bothered him.

He was older and knew a bit more now then he did before, but he was still lost with most general things as he was spending too much time training. He did develop a somewhat more stubborn and rebellious attitude that he gained through no fault of his own. Ever since his defeat at the hands of that Hyuga girl he had developed a need to become stronger as this was his first true loss and he could never let it go. Not until he faces her again once she has risen to his level, if she could not rise he would at least like the chance to defeat a member of her clan to calm his soul.

It was a warm day and the wind was picking up as it blew through his hair the only thing going through his mind being.

'mommy, where are you'

Gin had a bit of a spring in her step and a mischievous grin on her face. In her current state, she was transformed - a jutsu that she had recently put together and taught herself. It made it so that she was considerably weaker, with the abilities of the average Chuunin. It also made her seem like a small child with very faint similarities to the older version of Gin. However, people would only notice this if they were told beforehand that this small child was the member of the Seven Swordsmen that wielded Soul Cutter. There were no telltale clothes or weapons on her. And she was intentionally keeping herself this way. It would be the perfect prank to play on her little boy, Ren. Gin snickered to herself. She knew that she was in this colorful little village. She had heard as much from the people talking about someone that fit his description. From then, she had just asked around and given a description of her little boy. People pointed her in the right direction until she eventually began to sense his presence around the area.

Gin found herself in the surroundings of a lovely little lake. It was a rather sunny day, almost blindingly so. Gin scanned the are, shading her face with her tiny hands. She could see the silhouettes of trees and other objects, but not Ren's. She frowned. In any case, she could feel that he was around the area. Now it was time to enact the first part of her plan. She took a deep breath and braced herself. This would maybe not work, but it was worth a try. She punched herself in the gut repeatedly. Right. This form didn't have the same amount of endurance that her actual body had. Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes. Good, now she just had to make crying noises to attract attention.

Gin wailed as loudly as she could. She hugged her knees to her chest and pretended to look weak and defenseless. To be fair, when this jutsu was active, that wasn't that hard to achieve. A simple frown made the townspeople crowd over her and try to help her in whatever way they could. It was actually a pretty useful side effect from the technique, one that she hadn't really expected or planned for when she started to expand on the initial concept of it. Bonus points for that, though.

In any case, Gin was excited. It had been a while since she had last seen Ren. She wondered how the boy had changed, if he had grown and if he had managed to get stronger. She would hit him upside the head if he hadn't improved at all since they last met in Konoha. She expected him to have at least learned a few more jutsu or something along those lines. But all in all and above everything else, Gin was happy that she would finally get to see one of the biggest reasons that she had for living, for getting stronger and for being the person who she was now.

He took a deep breath as he waited patiently, for about five minutes before noticing some rabbits hopping around. He began to chase them as they kept dodging him, though he was running like a normal kid instead of some highly trained ninja since if you just dashed and caught them there would be no fun at all. He was happy that these were not evil rabbits, but he wondered what was taking his mom so long, or was this all a trap to get him out here for an ambush. He kept chasing around in circles as the wind blew through his blonde hair, his clothes having folds and going with the wind. He slipped and did a cartwheel before falling on his back then stretching out as his arms and legs were spread out. He looked up to the sky as the rabbits out of curiosity went to the little boy who just laid there as they hopped around him before one got brave and hopped on him as he hugged the rabbit. He smiled as he thought to himself this might be a good present to give to his mommy as he held the rabbit up in the air, then he noticed something shining beneath a tree but was not sure what it was.

As he held the rabbit while looking to the side the rabbit also looked to the side while the other rabbits started gathering around the little boy. He was now surrounded by rabbits as he looked at all the white little rabbits, why were they being so friendly or were they planning to attack him. Were they all ninjas who used the transformation jutsu or perhaps they were expecting him to feed them.
He then hugged the rabbit again before rolling back a bit before rolling forward again to stand up as he began running in the grass as the rabbits chased him. He was smiling and more genuinely at that, though it was just the excitement of seeing his mother really more then anything else. Not counting the fact that he was actually scary strong as there were apparently others who had come their for the rabbits, but someone leaked out that he was a dangerous man eating demon child who showed no mercy. Though it seemed hard to believe, parents who knew better kept their children away saying its off limits for the day.

He then let the rabbit go as he put it down gently, he thought to himself his mom might rather want something other than a rabbit. During his time in here he had heard rumors about his mom, but being her child he could not imagine her doing anything bad that did not include killing. He had learnt a bit about this and that, but he was still not sure what it was all about since he did not get it. Emma one of the girls he grew up with during his academy days had died in Konoha after they got into a fight. She gave him a choice between returning home or continuing his quest to become stronger, in the end he chose strength to protect his family and he did not forget to send her body home by boat to her parents. He did not understand why all his friends had to die, but his family with Gin was the only ones who survived and they the only ones he had left to protect. Though he considered leaving his brother to get eaten by some wolves, though he actually enjoyed having a brother more then he let on. He was stubborn much like his mother and to the point that he still was somewhat disrespectful of Sano sometimes.

This had led to rumors of the Demon Kid who told the Kage to bow down to his sword, though it was just an exaggerated rumor due to someone witnessing the boy call the Raikage by the name Sanoteme with no fear or worries. Just as he was lost in thought he picked up something shiny like an egg, or was it a stone, only time would tell

Rabbits. Rabbits everywhere. Really, how had this town's officials let the fluffy little beasts become such a pest? Gin knew little to nothing about agriculture, but these things could in no way do any good to whatever crops these people relied on for food. She shook her head. This whole "crying to attract attention" thing wasn't working at all. It was a shame, really. Ren was known for his perceptive skills after all - in other words, his hearing range was impeccable. Was it that he was simply nowhere nearby or was he just distracted by something else? If it was the stupid fucking rabbits that were taking up his attention, Gin would be pissed off.

One of the white fluff balls approached her and began sniffing for food. Gin frowned. Alright, so these little critters were actually pretty cute. They weren't something that Gin would actually keep for herself, but maybe Misao would like to have one for company. Chie would accidentally melt the thing and Reiko would be more likely to use it for some sort of ungodly experiment. Shinji, on the other hand, would likely be more occupied with his hormones and chasing his latest future conquest - be it male or female. Gin smiled at the thought of her children. The only one that she really had a chance to see now was her baby boy. She wondered what he would think of the rabbits that were hopping about. Alas, he was nowhere to be seen.

The former Kazekage's frown grew deeper, etched onto her childish features. Looking at her hands, now petting the small animal gently, she realized how unused to this form she was. When she drew her weapons, they were almost her size. That didn't mean that she had any difficulty wielding them, however. Thanks to her extensive experience, skill and knowledge regarding weapons - swords especially - it was easy to adapt to her new size. However, that didn't mean that it still felt... odd. Gin shook her head from one side to the other. She let go of the white rabbit that had been lying on her lap and stood up. She gave a small grimace at her pants, now covered in a thin layer of hair. She brushed it off frantically.

Gin looked around the area. If Ren wouldn't come to find her, she would have to go out of her way to find him instead. Well, so much for playing a prank on the boy. Gin let a disillusioned sigh escape her lips. Nothing ever went as she planned it and now wouldn't be the time that that fact changed. Nevertheless, Gin supposed that she could still have some fun if she kept herself in this form. She shrugged, thinking that she might as well give it a try.

She looked down at the ground by her feet purely by chance as the rabbit scurried away. There was a small, golden egg where the rabbit had been standing. Gin picked it up and stared at it momentarily, wondering if it had any worth. She had heard a few people around town saying something about how these small animals started laying golden eggs this time of year for a short period of time. Maybe this was what they were talking about. She also recalled them saying that some of the eggs were completely worthless. It depended purely on chance, from what the former Kazekage gathered. She slipped it into her pocket for further inspection. Those things weren't her priority right now. She needed to find Ren.

With that in mind, Gin began walking aimlessly around the lake. Thankfully, the bright sun overhead would help.

The little boy had picked up what appeared to be just an empty shell of what he thought was an egg, it was just a hollow stone that had some water reflecting light from it. He was a bit upset and with almost no one in sight he decided to help his mother find him the only way her knew how. He had to do something that would not endanger the wildlife too so he looked around for a target for his signal to give to his mother to let her know where he was.

He had been reading a few too many books and began chanting something he once read inside some absurd book called 'The Adventures of Hikaru: The Shinobi of the Hidden Light'.

"I have travelled across the land guided by the light of the sun, the light of the moon and the light of the golden star.
The stormy seas and the raging trees, the burning sands and the barren lands as I shall claim thy wisdom no matter how far.
I am the Angel who shall protect those trapped within the darkness unable to see.
I am the Demon who will break the cycle and set you all free.

By the light of the North, by the light of the South
Break the poles that close the hidden path
By the light of the East, by the light of the West
I accept all trials in order to achieve thy quest
By the light of the Sun may your golden light shine all over the earth
By the light of the Moon reflect my soul since the time of birth

I am Hikaru of the Seven Stars, Shine Light Sabre Hikarimune"

As he announced that slamming the palm of his hand to the ground as the tree that stood before him began to light up and crack as light shot up through the tree shining as the branches then also released light from them similar to a Christmas tree as he perform his lightning jutsu Suteki Shoten as the tree of light was now visible from a distance he hoped his mother would find him now.

He then began to remember the last time he used this as a signal to his mother back in Konoha when they met on top of the mountain. They did not get to spend too much time together and she also told him a bit about her encounter with the Hokage which is why he was more desperate or interested to face the Hokage who was always too busy to play with him so to speak. He had hoped his mother would find him while some rabbits got curious and ran towards the light while others seem to dig into their burrows in fear. The weather also seemed to change as the wind seemed to pick up as well blowing through the little boy's hair as he began to feel as if he was enjoying himself, excited that his mother could appear any time. If not he had another way to find her, although he hoped he would not have to use his last resort to find his mother.
