Bukatisuto Clan (Complete) Chikara-strength-6

Clan: Bukatisuto

Kekkei Genkai: Unmei no Kan

Elements: Fuuton ( Must be Primary )

Specialization: Bukijutsu (Must be Primary) | Ninjutsu

Location: Sunagakure

Clan History:

Far from Sunagakure, along the borders that the Land of Wind shares with the Land of Sand a small village once sat. In this village lived a people whom referred to themselves as the Bukatisuto, or Weapon Artists. Like many that did not live among the shinobi these people had come to focus their talents on the various weapons the world had to offer. Though unlike other small villages, when the first of the wars between the shinobi broke out the Bukatisuto rose to the occasion searching for any means by which to test their skills. Their contribution would be forgotten, however, though the memory of their skill remained with the powers that be in Sunagakure. For this reason the Bukatisuto were given a stipend which lead to the growth of their small village into a bustling town.

When the second of the Shinobi Wars came to pass, the village of Suna called upon the Bukatisuto personally. Though it was not their skill in battle that they sought but their prowess with their weapons. The powers that be wished for the Bukatisuto to train shinobi in the use of various weapons. Though the elders of the Bukatisuto accepted their new task there was no question that they’d felt insulted by their lack of inclusion in the actual battles that were taking place. As such, before the war drew to a close the Bukatisuto left Suna and returned to their village without word or warning. There the clans elder Kitohara began to train both body and mind in pursuit of a new technique that would make his family worthy in the eyes of the shinobi of Suna. It is said that he was the first to discover how to use chakra among the Bukatisuto. Though the ability was raw and barely viable in battle. Still the Bukatisuto trained at the new skill, eventually the entire clan gaining this raw and unchecked basic control of the chakra that flowed through them.

By the time of the third Shinobi War the Bukatisuto had gained a skill that would lead to the creation of their legend. This time the Bukatisuto were not asked for their help, Suna remembering how the clan had abandoned them the last time. Despite, the clan entered the war of their own accord. Quickly rumor spread of Suna warriors that fought so fiercely and skillfully with their weapons that it was believed they might poses some modicum of precognition. In truth the Bukatisuto had developed a doujutsu of their own that would rival both the Uchiha Sharingan and the Hyuuga Byakugan; the Unmei no Kan. This allowed them to react and perceive the movements of their opponents with such speed and accuracy that nary a foe could defeat them. At least for a time. The wild and unruly chakra of the Bukatisuto would prove to be their downfall as the usage of their doujutsu drew heavily upon that chakra eventually causing all that had used it in battle to go blind. And thus the Bukatisuto were forced to withdraw from battle.

Sometime before the fourth Shinobi War, the town which had now been renamed Kitohara in memory of their early forefather was visited by shinobi from Sunagakure. They had taken interest in the stories heard of the Bukatisuto’s prowess in battle and a number of children were taken from the town in order to train them in Suna. Or at least the Suna Shinobi attemptd to take the children. Kitohana, a descendant of Kitohara forbade it and when the Suna-Nin went against her wishes she lead a small squadron and attacked them. The exact reason why Kitohana was so adamant in her position is lost to history, though many Bukatisuto believe that she merely did not wish for the children to be so forcibly removed from their families. What is clear, however, is her understanding of the backlash that would soon come due to her actions. Under Kitohana the Bukatisuto’s training intensified and by the time the Suna-Nin came to exact revenge the Bukatisuto had learned a new skill. Their chakra now in check their strange doujutsu became all the more powerful. So much so that Kitohana, the strongest of them was able to defeat the entire squad herself.

Over the next few years the town of Kitohara and Sunagakure warred lightly, neither gaining an advantage over the other until finally Kitohana made a plea for peace. In exchange for further training with their still fairly raw chakra the Bukatisuto would fight for Sunagakure. As expected the offer was rejected initially as it seemed no less than preposterous though peace was still found in light of it. The Bukatisuto retreated to their homes in Kitohara and there they began to hone their skills further. By the time of the fourth Shinobi War the Bukatisuto had mastered their wild chakra, by means of channeling it through their weaponry. Most notably Fuuton jutsu seemed easiest for them to utilize. It is little known, but the Bukatisuto had a hand in the battles of the Fourth Shinobi War though they had not been called upon by Sunagakure. It is unclear what lead the clan to aid the hidden village against the Akatsuki’s Zetsu Clone Army, but their aid did not go unnoticed. Relations between Suna and Kitohara were renewed and various members of the Bukatisuto clan eventually went to live in Suna.

Years later, the entirety of the clan can now be found in Suna. Their remains raw and unruly though their mastery of it rivals even the best of Suna native shinobi clans. Though they’ve never lost their love and focus for Bukijutsu, for which they are best known to this day.

Kekkei Genkai Description:
Unmei no Kan

Stage 1: The basic stage at which all Bukatisuto are born. There is no change from the average human eye.

Stage 2: The practitioners eyes are flooded with chakra granting them a kind of telescopic vision while also increasing the speed at which the brain processes information. Objects viewed within their line of sight up 100 meters are perceived much faster, granting a +1 to perception. Unfortunately this added speed of perception makes the user more susceptible to Genjutsu triggers and causes greater difficulty in recognizing the clues that a Genjutsu has been activated, this translates to Genjutsu used against them receiving a +1. This stage is reached through training (2,500 words). It costs 10 chakra per post that it’s active.
+1 Perception
+1 Genjutsu used against them.

Stage 3: Upon reaching Jounin a Bukatisuto gains further control over their often unruly chakra allowing them to increase the range of their vision up to 200 meters, in addition the greater control of the chakra which allows for this to further fuel their brains ability to process information. Unfortunately, the greater ability to process information leads to even falsehoods created by Genjutsu’s being perceived as real increasing the Genjutsu’s effectiveness against the practitioner. This stage is unlocked automatically when the practitioner has reached Jounin level. This skill, however, comes at the cost of 15 chakra per post that it is active.

+2 Perception
+2 Genjutsu used against them.

“The Unmei no Kan”:

Due to the wild and unkempt nature of their chakra, Fuuinjutsu techniques used against them for the purpose of sealing their chakra or jutsu receive a -1 in effectiveness (rank).

Drawbacks:

Secondary Element must be learned from scratch. (Starts with only Clan Element)

Due to the nature of Bukatisuto Chakra they receive +1 Damage from Katon based attacks.

Cannot learn Katon based Jutsu.

Cannot learn Fuuinjutsu techniques due to the wild nature of their chakra.

Due to the focus on Bukijutsu, Bukatisuto members must also take Hesitant (Specialization).

Members:
Bukatisuto, Hisano (Future Clan Head)

Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:

“Bukato”:

“Kyusobuki”:

“Sutobuki”:

What is the difference between this clan's visual enhancement and the Sharingan? The actual sight boost seems to be identical, which is no good.

This doesn't really solve the issue of the whole "fine movements" aspect of the eyes being a rip from the sharingan. Telescopic vision is fine, but when you're getting into fine body movements and the like it's still encroaching on the sharingan's basic utility.

Alright then, here we go~

Why the separation between the second and third stage being passive and active? Honestly, they should both be active abilities. I can't think of another Doujutsu that isn't a constant drain while active. The cost of stage two also seems a bit excessive. 20 chakra per post is a lot for binoculars and a stat boost, especially since they come with their own penalty.

Now getting into the deal with the bukijutsu add-ons. Typically when a clan has a doujutsu or an advanced element, that is it as far as what they are allowed for clan benefits. The bonus damage on weapons and universal weapons knowledge could be a clan in and of itself. They aren't the most overpowered thing I've ever seen, but even so, you're probably going to have to dial the bonuses back a bit. The universal weapons knowledge for instance, is a convenience, but it weighs down the app. Mastering the weapon sub-types you want to learn IC isn't the worst thing in the world.

Inheritence without a negative characteristic is meh. It overcomplicates things. If you were really insistent on something like this, it would probably be easier to allow clan members a free C-Rank item from the weapons catalogue or something like that.

The fuuinjutsu business... I feel this can be made more specific. As fuuinjutsu can be used in an infinite number of ways depending on how creative the user is. For example, it can be used in such a way that it has no effect on your chakra specifically whatsoever.

Drawbacks are balanced around the benefits the clan offers, so we'll start with the above points.

The cost of maintenance for their doujutsu can probably be brought down a bit for what it offers.

The constant ranges for the Bukato jutsu are kind of insane given the nature of the jutsu. Most jutsu of that rank that use ranges like that are single use and usually projectiles.

I'm unsure exactly of how Kyusobuki will play out in rp. Could you explain it to me within the context of our system?

Are you sure that's all you want strong weapon to do? Once you start using weapons above A-Rank this jutsu starts seeing heavy diminishing returns as it is written now.
