"I kind of know that... A few of the elders in my clan are blind in one or both eyes... They tried to experiment with the doujutsu and faced some pretty bad results because of it..." He flopped back on to the couch and looked out at the window. The rain was still coming down as hard as ever. "You look kind of worried about the book... Why is that?" If there was one thing Skye would ever be famous for, it would definitely be his curiosity. He could easily see that Karoshi was a bit panicked about the book. Maybe it was very important to her? Or maybe it had some value to someone else... He couldn't quite put his finger on what she was thinking though. Skye's clothes seemed a bit more dry now that he had been out of the rain for a short while.

Karoshi laughed as Skye went on about the elders, of course he knew that part. Little bit stupid to add that part in but then again he did ask to hear more about it.
"Well in that case then, you should be fine. Just try and get some rest." She said as she ran her finger through her long orange hair.

"You look kind of worried about the book... Why is that?" Oh god. He was onto her! He was due to find out! Karoshi began to panic on the inside but on the outside she just started to laugh, a little snort here and there. Well, that's attractive! Letting out a small sigh of defeat, she gave in. There was no point in hiding it. Walking over to Skye, she flashed him the book.
"This is property of the Kumogakure library...It's been ripped because of me and now I'm in trouble and..." She began to panic and go off in a small rant. This is it. This is where she gets punted back down to the Academy...

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. Calm down." Skye stood up and put one hand on Karoshi's shoulder. "So you stole a book and accidently had one page ripped out. It's not the end of the world." He looked at the book and took it away from Karoshi. "And your not going to be in trouble, trust me, I've done a lot worse than rip a book." He opened to the ripped page and examined it slightly. "It's not that bad. All we need is a bit of paste and it should be fine." He smiled and looked up at Karoshi. It looked like he wanted her to just take a deep breath and smile back.

She was hyperventilating at the time before Skye had mentioned the paste, completely ignoring what he had said before. Turning her panicked gaze over to Skye, she noticed his hand on her shoulder. Oh god, human contact! her face began to shine a bright red before she managed to even blurt out a single word.
"Y-you mean we can fix this?" She stammered, her lips trembling as her body shook and quaked.

Looking at the book, Karo examined it even more and had agreed to what he had said. Just a very precise hand and patience was all it was going to take to get it back into shape but that still wasn't going to hide the tear that the page was going to leave behind for being ripped. Hopefully, when she returned it, no one would even know the difference.

"Sure we can fix it. You just need to chill out for a second." Skye set the book down on the couch and looked out the window to see that the rain was lightening up slightly. "Hold on... I'll be back in a bit..." He walked over to the window, opened it, and jumped out. A few minutes passed until Skye came back with a bottle of paste and a notebook for extra paper if they needed. "I'm back and I have the supplies... I'm also soaking wet again.." He got wet again on his way back. The rain had started to intensify a few moments before he jumped back into the room. Skye laughed and put the supplies down on an end table. It seemed Skye had made a new friend even though he didn't realize it yet.

Karoshi smiled as she watched Skye leap from the window, she knew why he'd disappeared. Now to just wait for him. Moments passed as karo walked about the room, examining all the furniture around the room and dusting a few pieces here and there since it was beginning to annoy her a bit, she heard Skye enter back through the window, dripping wet with a smile on his face. She shook her head and sighed, letting a small grin grow across her face. Typical. She may have only known him for a short while but she had him all figured out already.

Walking over to him as he placed down the supplies, she jumped and squeaked with joy! Finally! Now she could avert her mind from her ridiculous thought of being punted back down to academy level. The thought alone could make any genin shudder.
"Thank you Skye-kun!" She said, bouncing up and down on the spot.

"No problem, least I can do for letting me stay dry in here." Skye grinned and twisted the bottom of his shirt to get the water out. Again, there was a fair amount of water in his shirt. As soon as he got himself somewhat dry, he sat back down on the couch. Taking the book in hand, Skye grabbed the paste and slowly applied it to the ripped page. He made sure he wasn't overdoing himself. The page was fitting in perfectly and it almost looked like nothing had happened to it. "Almost done..." Skye stared at the page closely as he finished up with the gluing. "There... Good as new." He held the book up to show that the page was now restored. "I've actually never done this before, but it looks pretty good if I do say so myself."

Karo walked slowly to the back of the couch where Skye was sitting, watching him intently as he began to paste the glue onto the paste with such precision. Not many ninja at genin level without medical as a spec had such fine precision. Interesting to say the least. As she made her way round to Skye, just when he had finished up, she tripped and went flying into a stack of books, paper and pieces of junk went flying into the air whilst she made a rather resounding thud against the floor.

She shot up to her to her rear end, sitting at a hunched position and gripped her elbow, it wasn't that sore to be honest with you but she was just being a little drama queen out of the situation. She's a fragile creature so really anything that doesn't involve battle, she'll make a fuss out of.
Looking over to the back of Skye's head, she let out a strained groan.
"Oh great! Good job!"" She said through gritted teeth before pushing herself up to her feet.

Skye couldn't help but quietly laugh to himself when Karoshi fell over. It definitely looked funny from Skye's point of view. He quickly stopped his laugh when she held her arm. "Oh... You alright?" He stood up off the chair to make sure that his new friend wasn't injured badly. "Looked like you hit your elbow. I'd normally ask if I could do something for you... but from here it doesn't look too bad. Of course I don't don't have much say when trying to tell that to a medical ninja." He resumed his laugh, but it was a bit more noticeable now. Laughing at his own jokes, that's one thing Skye would always seem to do. His laugh sounded cheerful, and almost like it would be contagious to others. Skye wiped under his eye as he laughed, it caused some of his purple face paint to come off.

Looking over at Skye, laughing at her, Karo couldn't help but laugh as he gave his analysis on her hurt arm. Sill, telling a medical genin on what's wrong with her. She returned the laugh and nodded, in response to his earlier question.
"Yeah, I'm fine thanks." She giggled, getting back to her feet, staggering slightly she shook her head and sighed. The day was flying by since the sun was now setting, the rays of the sun shining through the racks of the grey clouds and the rain was still beating down hard as ever. Looks like it was going to be a long night though her parents might be looking for her. Though, they trusted her and believed that she could take care in herself.

Skye took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He looked at Karoshi, grinned, and sat back on the couch. "I have a question for you... Both times I touched you... you jumped and made a face... What's up with that? I thought a medical ninja would be fine with people being around..." His voice sounded light and caring. He really did want to make Karoshi feel better about her little problem with people touching her. Even if it was a slight tap or touch. It did seem a bit like a personal question, but Skye was curious nonetheless...

Hearing Skye's question, her face went from happy to slightly stunned and shy. She had a reason though she really had no words to best describe it. She'd never really been asked that question before but now that she had...it was a rather awkward moment for her indeed. She brought her hands down to the front of her waist line and began to twiddle her fingers about each other. You could tell she was nervous, her voice kept breaking up whenever she tried to come out with an answer. She sighed and gulped down hard and pushed herself into saying something.
"I'm uh...I'm a little...skittish around new people and I don't know how to react around them at first and then I get nervous and begin to go off in little rants like this and I start to...to." She said before she began to hyperventilate a little. Expected since she has a habit of doing this but after awhile she got back her breath and went on to finish her sentence.
"I start to do that. If any of that made any sense to you at all, probably not?" She said in a squeaky and confused tone

Syke tilted his head slightly to the left and stared at Karōshi. "If you get skittish around new people, then why are you freaking out around me. We're friends now, right? I'd say so since we had to be stuck together in this dusty old room for quite some time. Shared a few stories, fixed a torn page on a book." He grinned once more before laughing. It was funny to him that after a few short hours, he was able to make a random friend. Or what he considered to be a friend at least. "So just calm down, take a deep breath, and chill." Another smile was shot at Karōshi. Skye was still chuckling to himself.

"Friends?" She said to herself. She hadn't even caught onto what Skye was saying before until reality hit her. They were friends now and she was completely oblivious to it. How could she have been so blind? Oh well, at least it could be settled now for sure. She smiled back at him and bounced a bit on the spot.
"Friends!" She said in a much louder and cheerier tone towards Skye. Things where getting better by the minute, now that weather had stopped and the sun was now fully out, though the streets were still slightly flooded to about ankle level but nothing that a Kumo nin couldn't handle.

She walked over to the window before busting open the window, the shutters opening and hitting off of the walls outside with a bang. She walked over and lent out of the window, her long orange hair waved in the wind as it wafted her perfume and her tropical scented hair around the room. She smiled as the sun shone on her face.

"I'm guessing someone's happy. And it looks like the weather finally cleared up." The sun was still out, but in a few hours, it would be gone and the moon would take it's place. Skye jumped up off the couch and went over by the window next to Karōshi. He placed on hand on the wall and one on her shoulder. It didn't look like he realized he was touching her shoulder. "The village looks almost flooded by all that water that came in... Lucky I found this room... and pretty lucky I found you in this room. I would've been bored out of my mind if I was alone." The rainwater was flowing down the streets and heading off somewhere else.

Karo felt Skye's hand place upon her shoulder but she didn't really seem to care as much now that it was established that they were friends. She became more relaxed now and much more energetic now that she didn't have to be all skittish and such. She looked down at the ground. It was a good 20ft drop if you hit the pavement below and and extra 20ft if you missed it. The damned village had to have gaps and such. She gulped hard and let out a small puff of smoke for dramatic effects.

She got back up into a more straighter stance before placing her foot on the ledge and hunching her body over again. She turned her head and smiled at Skye. Their time together for the day was coming to an end but not without it's highlights.
"It's getting dark." He soft, angelic voice seemed to drift through the air like silk.

Might get kind of dark while you walk. Wouldn't be kind if I just ditched you." He smiled and nodded once. "How about I escort you home?" It looked like he was silently laughing to himself. He was trying to act like a gentleman, but he wasn't very good at it. He seemed more like a friend helping a friend, which in all truth he was doing.

"If you can keep up!" She taunted before giving him a playful push and bounding out of the window at a great speed.

She laughed as the wind beat off her face and her hair whipped while the wind seemed to shoot through it. High in the air, she angled her body into a more streamline position and flew to the ground in a diagonal line. Just before she hit the ground, she stretched out her arm and latched onto a pole before swinging back into the air and over a couple of roofs. She turned back to see if he was able to keep up, a smile slapped across her face.

Skye hopped up to the edge of the window and jumped over to the building opposite the room. He then used the sides of the building to slide down to the ground. "Keep up? I'll do more than just keep up!" He yelled playfully towards Karoshi. It took him a few seconds, but he finally bolted in the direction that Karoshi was headed. It wasn't long before he reached her. "This good for keeping up?!" Grinning, he turned his attention back to where his new friend was going. Being new to Kumo definitely gave him a disadvantage when trying to find out where he was, but all he really had to do was follow Karoshi.

Looking at Skye now, him finally caught up to her, she noticed he was a few paces behind; almost as if he was following her maybe? A grin grew across her face before she leapt for a pole overhead, swinging on it; the wind making a low whooshing sound as she forced herself high into the sky, the speed making small streaks as she soared through the air. It was just the rush she needed.
"Who says I'm, going home!?" She hollered back, more of her laughing got into the sentence than actual words but it was still fairly recognizable.

She was heading home but she decided to prolong the journey back and see if he could catch onto her little game that she had now dragged him into. A game of cat and mouse. He was the cat and she was the mouse. She wasn't going to go home without a good waste of energy since she had quite a bit pent up inside her.

Skye sped up and tired his best to keep up with Karoshi. He had a huge disadvantage because he had absolutely no clue where Karoshi was taking him headed. It seemed like he was having trouble with catching up. A single thought shot into his head as he followed her. "Use a genjutsu..." Skye shook his head but couldn't get the thought put. "One genjutsu could get her caught in a loop and cause her to tire herself out really quickly." He didn't feel like it was right to do it, so he continued to chase after Karoshi. A few people on the streets looked up and saw the two pass by. Some just ignored it, others seemed to stare for a second or two.

She found it humorous that he was finding it hard to keep up with her. She decided to stop the game however and let him walk her home. They weren't too far away from it actually. 3 blocks and they were there! She stopped in her place, a couple of paces just ahead of Skye. Bad choice. She didn't give him enough time to move, suddenly stopping would do that. She quickly turned and opened her arms whilst laughing. If they fell down the hole just behind her, they could take a shortcut to her house and it was getting dark so she didn't want to keep him out too long.

Skye didn't have any time to react when Karoshi had stopped. He had to hit her full speed. It ended up being a tackle of some kind and caused both of them to fall into the hole behind them. "OH CRA-!" He tried to open his arms and catch Karoshi so the hit wouldn't be as bad. They fell a few feet, but after a second or two, Skye was able to reposition himself with Karoshi and land on his feet. He looked down at Karoshi and started to bust out in laughter. "That was awesome!" His laugh seemed to echo slightly because of where they were. It was somewhat dark, but one's eyes would easily be able to adjust to the darkness.

"Thanks for walking me home. You didn't have to but it was nice of you. see you later!" She chirruped before walking off into her house, closing th door slowly behind her before giving him a cheeky wave goodbye. Maybe they'll meet again but who knows. Only time will tell.

"Now to find my way home... Where is it again...?" It seemed as if he was mumbling to himself as we walked off. It would be a while, but he would eventually find his way back to his clan. His father might have a fit about him going off, but he wouldn't really mind it. He was used to that kind of thing. Later on, he hoped that he would see his new friend again.
