Kishin

D-rank
General Appearance:

It was one of the few times Kishin had left his abode dressed traditionally.  It was just a day after the match his sister had against the one known as Kaekio, a friend to his sister, and now turned enemy to him.  The fight was gruelingly boring at the start, as both of them didn't seem up to the fight.  He, of course, was rooting on his sister Nozomi to win the match.  But that feeble beginning, the lack luster want to compete, he wished that the fight would have just ended there.  Though, not for what would transgress afterwards, but just to avoid the pain he saw on the faces of the two within the arena at that time.  It was disturbing to the young boy, more so than if he had seen his sister lose outright.  It would have been better if that Sand girl had beaten Nozomi than to have what would came about.

The match between Nozomi and Suteki was a match.  Anger, enjoyment, neutrality, surprise, determination, these were emotions he could accept.  The match, though fraught with energy from both of the girls, it was a mutual feelings of a need and acceptance to what was coming.  He of course hoped his sister would win, and was overjoyed that she had managed to beat the girl, he didn't hold a grudge against the sand girl for attacking his sister, even if she would have won.

But the next match, was writhe with gloom and tragedy.  He knew that onee san and Kaekio knew each other, and had a great respect and genuine fondness for each other.  Than to see what had occurred, the match wasn't a match between rivals, or even a respectful match between friends.  It was a match, for lack of a better outlook, misplaced love then deception.

He watched as onee san and Kaekio made there way out to the arena grounds, a simple introduction by the speaker than the start of the match.  The two of them stood face to face and didn't flinch, or rather, respond at all.  Attacks bounded from both, but no effort was placed into them.  The match should have been stopped by the proctors at that moment.  Lack of defense put up by either fighter should have been enough, in his eyes.  Than they got a few scratches, though the mob grew loud with excitement, any trained shinobi would have been able to tell otherwise.  They each let themselves be hit, taking most of the attacks, acceptingly.  The match was strife with emotions that should have been accepted.  That should have been the end of the match.  It would have been better to just end both of the girls suffering right then, but the match had to go on.  After all, it was just the start of the match.

A friendly spar would have been one thing, something that if he had run into, no.  If he had to fight Nozomi, which he had done in the past, they would have held back their attacks, if they would have seriously injured one another, but would have accepted their loss gracefully.  What had unraveled in the arena field below, that was just horribly, horribly wrong.  As he continued to watch, Kishins face grew redder and redder with anger.  He wanted to come between them, he wanted to interfere, he wanted to end the punishment that was to come, and would continue most certainly, but he didn't.  It took all his energy, and an extreme amount of vocal profanity to stop him from helping his beloved sister.  He knew he wasn't strong enough to go between onee san and Kaekio, let along stop either of them.

Kishin was still a student at the academy, learning the basics to becoming a shinobi.  Just two weeks before he was learning how to properly walk up a tree using chakra focusing.  If he had stayed in the village, he would probably still be practicing that art with the other students.  He had managed to run halfway up the tree, being the 3rd highest reaching student of his class.  With the promise of practicing while cheering on his sister, whom had left a few weeks earlier, he would be allowed to leave school for a short time.  So he had taken time off to watch and cheer on his village and especially Nozomi, learning what it took to be an elite, well, at least to grow from being a student to genin, to chuunin.

This though, it had been a little to much for the young boy.  He had wished that he hadn't come at all just to see his wonderful sister be betrayed so horrible in front of so many, including him most of all.  Kaekio had taken advantage of the melancholy and abhorred feelings of Nozomi, thrashing her just before onee sans rational need to survive would kick in.  The damage had been dealt, and the emotional damage was still apart on onee sans face, but Kaekio seemed intent on ripping her to shreds.  Electrocuting, burning, slicing, everything she could dish out to win, to take advantage of the momentary weakness, feelings, emotion shown to her by onee san.  To him, Kaekio seemed to be out for blood at that moment, and to him, she was one to be abhorred now.  Nozomi tried to defended herself, tried to stay off Kaekio as best she could, but she was to weak from the attacks prior, and emotion that gripped her still, even after all that had happened just moments prior.  Than the sword came out, and she attacked in an attempt to permanently disfigure, destroy, end onee sans life.

The proctors jumped in just in time to rush her to the hospital.  He, was to distraught to remember what happened after they jumped into the ring.  His memory fuzzy as he blacked out after rushing to the edge of the arena, trying to jump over the rail to aid his sister, or to kill the girl that he now saw as an agent of all that he found evil in the world.  She was evil incarnate to him, and he might have been acting on the need to restore order to the world as he saw fit.

He was now at the outskirts of Takigakure, taking a day off to try and cool what nerves he could.  His sister was still at the hospital, being tended to by a many physicians, in an attempt to keep her alive.  Yesterday, after regaining consciousness from whatever had occurred to him after the match,  When he had awakened, he was quite confused, almost thinking what he had seen, what had happened was just a dream, some horrible nightmare of what could come.  Though his surroundings in the hospital, the nurses trying to consul him for some reason.  His face had felt wet, and his throat itchy, feeling constricted as if a snake or hands were wrapped around it.  He felt a heating pressure all over his body as he rushed through the hospital, than taken down, restricted by guards.  He waited several hours until he could see the face of Nozomi, just to enter the room, sit next to her and take it all in.  The blank look on his face apparent from the moment he took the chair next to onee san, until early morning this day.   he had spent the entire day beside onee san, anger tearing at him from within, though a rather blank expression planted outside.  He didn't speak to anyone the entire day, unmoved by any effort made by nurses to get him to talk, eat, or move.  He was a blank slate, entirely and oddly unemotional.  The medical staff had though something was severely wrong with him, but decided to withhold efforts to separate him from his unconscious sister for the time being.  They would let time play its role, hopefully being shocked back to reality when she would awaken.

Now, after running for hours on end, anger being his guide, he found himself in a remote area close to the edge of the expanse that made up Takigakure.  He wanted the strength to bring what he thought of as justice for the horrible transgressions that had been wrought  upon his beloved onee san.  Though to gain such justice, he needed strength, something he sorely lacked.  Though, the flame of carnage within pushed him, made him believe he could achieve what was needed in hours, maybe a day at most.  The hours spent running through the forests outside Takigakure just such a form of exerciser in the futility that was to be his day well spent.

He ran as fast as he could that day, for no particular reason, and no particular location in mind.  Kishin decided to just run, as if something pulling him to the end of the road from the hospital.  Then, he just continued on, to the edge of the civilized portion of Takigakure.  When he got there, he still felt more could be mustard. So he ran in another random direction, just to run, just to feel something other than the sadness that was pulling at him.  Anger, he hopped, would be his savior, from the unending pain he felt.  At one point, he reached an impasse.  A great cliff that led off into nothingness for at least a good 1000 meters.  An endless sight of green beyond to where he could see nothing else but green.  The pain still wrought within, so he turned around and ran back in the direction he had come.  For how long he ran, walked at some point, than ran again he wasn't sure.  Though he started well before sunlight shone, being led by the lights that lined the streets, and peoples houses.  The sun now shown almost directly overhead.  He stopped, breathing hard, and collapsed onto the floor.  The sky was now his canvas, as he watched clouds float by, creating figures of animals and some such above.  His eye lids growing heavy as he stared.  The shadow from the tree, the pain within his legs, all were drawing attention away from the nightmare he had witnessed, the nightmare that was reality.  The pain was his friend now, a friend which stuck by his side unyieldingly pleasurable at that moment.  He tried to lift himself, his leg to bend, his arm to rise and push off the ground.  Nothing was giving in to allow him to recede backwards at the moment.  Again he stared off into the heavens, watching some bird squawk as they flew by.  His eyes growing heavier, the world slowly being drowned out by nothingness.  He blinked slowly, trying to strain his eyes open again, though they too gave out to the unforgiving pain, fatigue he was now suffering from.  He smiled for a moment, realizing how futile his attempt was at that moment, but it was a fleeting moment as everything seemed to vanish all at once, allowing his imagination to take over yet again, as it had done just a day before.

In the distance, thunder could be heard, raging yet sofetly, foretelling perhaps of what was to come.  Kishin was back home in Kirigakure, practicing the Petal Storm of the Mist jutsu, with his sister Nozomi sitting on the walkway surrounding the central garden.  The grass garden at his feat weaved as what little wind could get inside through the corridors caused it to ripple as if an ocean.  A small oasis in the center of the room, to his left had a bath like pond, and a few trees surrounding it, weaving slightly from the disturbance.  The little boy was standing in the tall grass, trying to bring forth the petals from his hands as he punched, striking at nothing hoping to see the glistening glow of the chakra exit his outreached fingertips.  He whirled around, kicking into the air and stomping the ground with a look of a sumo wrestling, hand reaching out and pushing forward.  His other hand was behind him, helping keep his balance.  He brought that forward, stepping along with it while it swept downwards and to his front, pushing hard at the end to project force forward.  Nothing happened.  He started to stair at his hand and trying to just have it happened, as a single petal appeare.  Kishin closed his hand and ran over to Nozomi, "Look look, I did it, see!" just a gust of wind came in and blew it out of his hand and it vanished into nothingness.

His facial expression was that of as a kid having his balloon float away or candy being taken from him.  Nozomi laughed at him and ruffled his hair.  His expression changed quickly and he was happy again.  Happy that she had saw it and believed him.  Though he wasn't to her abilities, nobody was really.  But she was helping him learn the technique, by request of their parents, and if he hadn't something to show, chances are something bad might happen to Nozomi.  Though at the moment, he didn't care.  It was rare now that he could spend so much time with his older sister, and he wanted to enjoy it with more than just practice.  He turned around and ran towards the bushes, jumping within.  A crack of lightning, louder than before echoed within the small area.  Though he heard it clear as day, Nozomi didn't seem to react as he looked at her for a response, some fear in his eyes.  He started to run back towards her as he closed his eyes and reached where she was, she seemed to vanish.  He looked around, unsure of where she was as more lightning crackled above, louder than before.   Slowly the area became darker as he searched for her, calling out her name.  A sense of panic now on his face.  He heard his name come from behind the tree and again called out her name but with now response.  A shadowy figure stepping from behind the tree, though he didn't recognize the face.  He did though recognize the voice.  Again it called out to him, telling him to come closer though he stepped back.  Another bolt of lightning and he could see the figure for just a brief second.

Kishin jumped up pushing hard off the ground and looking around.  It was now sunset and he didn't see anyone around.  Again he had that weird dream like last night, sparking this, need to escape.  A need to, do something.  To prepare for a coming danger.  He had tied this danger to the girl that Nozomi had lost against, though he could never remember the face he saw when he woke up, last time or this time.  Though both times, it had scared him enough to break him from the dream, sweating and confused.  Angered and yet slightly scarred.  Whatever it was put a fire to his butt, as now he wanted to continue to run.  No, now he wanted to, he wanted to, do something else.  He had the need to, strike something, or learn a jutsu or something like that.  He slowly started to walk towards the lake, staring at the reflection of the sun and clouds bouncing off of it, the slight glow still radiating from it, causing the world to appear more red and orange than usual.  He wanted to keep his mind off of onee san for as long as possible, and practicing some shinobi skills seemed like a good way to waste the time.

Kishin walked over to the lank, staring out into it and the sunset for a good 20 minuets, just staring. The oranges and yellows; golds and reds were memorizing to stair into.  Though given the way he felt at the moment, the madness that he wanted to unleash upon "that he deemed fitting", he would have simple stared into the sun if it were there, blinding himself upon it's brilliance.  But at the moment, the gloriousness of the sun was hidden behind the blanketed clouds, causing purple and red hues to paint the horizon.  It was inspiring to a degree, and it would have been a high moment of the day for Kishin, if he hadn't been too lost in thought to enjoy it.

His face was blank, solemn looking and lost in some thought or another of what would happen, or what he could do.  The young academy student was lacking greatness of any sorts to carry out any form of vengeance or retort to displace his anger.  He took a step forward, his shoes sinking into the shallow depths of the lakes shore.  He tredged ahead, water being kicked forward and gathered upwards as he lifted his foot out and brought it back into the waters.  With the next step, the water dripped off his wet pants and he settled his foot onto the water's surface, now keeping it steadily atop the ever moving surface.  This was Kishins' first time walking upon the surface of water, though he had practiced the skill of Supernatrual Walking Practice during his trip to Takigakure, and just learning it before he left Kirigakure, it had all been on much more solid surfaces.  Though he seemed to take to it like a fish did to water, by coincidence as one swam below his foot, nibbling on a shoelace strung slightly off, trying to take it under with it.  He looked down, but barely even registered it except to see that it wasn't of concern, returning to face forward.

He was extremely focused, or perhaps focused on very little else at the moment.  He continued stepping out onto the lake, now about 40 feet from the waters edge, heading to the setting sun.  Each step caused a ripple effect on the lakes surface, distorting the image it cast upon it.  Perhaps it could be a simile for how he felt at the moment.  The surface being distorted, was like his heart and mind were, in a sense, at the moment.  He tried and through a strong will, had succeeded in tossing away his emotions for the moment, now deep into a focused state of obliteration.  He was oblivious to the world immediately outside.  Even the cool breeze blowing brought no comfort to the young man, though given a biological in-sensation, it wouldn't have mattered anyways.

Perhaps that was why he was so capable of reaching this state of mind.  He was already missing a certain sense of himself in the world, being unable to feel the world around him.  Cold, heat; the sensational emotion of someones body rubbing against his.  He had always lacked the ability to feel, actually feel such a thing.  And now he was overwhelmed by an emotion rarely brought on, for himself.  Anger; something rare for Kishin.  He could have been poked, prodded, beaten, stabbed, and he would shrug it off, and seeming cold, unresponsive to the action.  And usually this kept others from trying to bring on personal emotional matters against him.

Normally, Kishin always had a cheerful disposition, almost masochist nature when faced with those that meant him harm.  And those that were on friendly terms with him, thought some of his nature was odd as well.   Those that knew him, could have seen him no; the way he was dressed, walking, head slightly tilted down, avoidance of others; they certainly would have thought something was amiss with the young lad.

Kishin always seemed to have a brave front with everyone around him.  He only laughed on the outside, his smile was but just skin deep.  He had the want to bring a visible emotion to the front of those around him.  If one had a look inside, he was really crying in some sense perhaps, and through those around him, he joined in their frivolity of emotion, joining them in anything but a weep.  That was why he was where he was now, stuck inside of an emotion, or avoiding such an emotion, from one he held high on his list of loved ones.

He now stood about 30m from the shore, stopping where he was and just standing there for about 3 minuets.  The wind blew, churning the water slightly before him, blowing his cloths behind him.  It swirled about him as he released several pieces of hardened chakra from his hands.  The petals swirled and danced in the air, reaching upwards into the sky as the wind died down, allowing for the dance to cease.  He looked up, taking sight of the falling petals of chakra.  He rushed towards the one ahead, punching at it and taking hold.  He moved to the next one from behind, kicking it up and grabbing hold, crushing it in his fist.  Two of the petals of chakra about to fall into the waters, he turned around, rushing for them.  He dove, catching one in each hand, than pushing off the waters surface by forcing chakra to his fists, and rolled over pushing off slightly and catching his feet onto the water, causing it to fold over upon itself with slight force.  He jumped off the water up into the air, catching three more in his hands, along the arc. Another one skipped passed his face slightly, catching it with his hand down, turning in the air to see what was left.  He landed onto the water hard, than reversed his propulsion, pushing as hard as he could forward, to catch another that was just inches from the ground.  The petal dipped into the water as he just caught it, soaking his hand with some water as he did so.  He pushed his other hand down, flipping himself around and onto his feet as he rushed for another 10 feet away.  He caught it, and stood still, looking around to see if another was still floating around.  Blood dripping from his hand, mixing with the reds of the last bit of setting sun reflection.  One last petal, lofting in the wind slowly, descending towards where he stood.

He opened his hand, revealing the scratches from the training session, as another drop of blood fell into the water below.  The last petal stayed just off his hand, seeming to dance along the air just above his palm.  The petal picked up some of his blood, now stained slightly as it waved and flipped, circling his hand like a ballerina.  Now another side picking up some of the blood soaking his hand, as more puddled and fell from the edges onto the back and down to the waters.  He watched it dance and swirl, seeming to enjoy its glowing dance among the red below.  He breathed and bent towards the water, dipping his hands in the cool water to wash off his injuries.  He stood back up after a moment, the glowing petal still, seeming to wait for him.  Kishin turned around towards the shore and started to walk back, the petal seeming to follow as if it had a mind of it's own.  It would dip and rise, going towards the surface of the water, scratching it than flip back into the sky.  A gust of wind blew and the petal raced ahead of him, than vanishing when it got to far.

He was about 2 feet from the shore as he released his chakra from his foot, accidentally releasing it haphazardly as he dropped into the water, now half way in it and soaked, some splashing onto his face.  He raised his hand, wiping it off his face, realizing he just wiped his still slightly blood soaked hand onto his face, painting it in red most likely.  He didn't seem to happy about the fact, apparent on his face, but than just laid back falling into the water, letting it wash over him, and floated in the water off the shore looking up as the first star shown above.

He continued to float there, in the water staring up at the sky, mostly oblivious to anything thing else.  He listened to the surroundings, the rocking waves and the occasional chirping of a bird was all that could be heard, as he watched the sky slowly become darker and darker.  At some point he had washed ashore, rolling along the edge as water splashed upon the banks, getting his feet stuck and the waves washing over his head, gurgling the water by mistake.  He quickly pushed and rolled over, going under yet again and pushing himself up, coughing water violently.  The boy stood up, and looked around, still coughing and walked up the shore onto the grass.  After a few seconds he stopped and took off some of his clothing, placing it on the grass.  Now he only had his pants on, looking around to see if someone else was in the area.  He decided to take them off quickly, and wring them to remove as much water as possible, then to put them back on quickly.  No one seemed to be in the area, and it might just be cold enough to cause problems for him.  Though he couldn't feel if it was cold, he knew enough to not take a chance.

After getting somewhat dry, he put them back on than looked around for sticks so he could start a fire.  He was still slightly wet, and a fire would help to dry him off.  It was getting late and he wouldn't be able to safely trek back to the village in time.  He gathered what he could, dumping them next to his clothing then gathered them together.  He had trained for survival and basic camping skill at the academy, so he tried to remember what was needed to start a fire.  He tried to rub the sticks together.  Harder and harder he tried, then noticing some blood dripping from his hands.  That wasn't going to work.  He stood up and paced for a moment, thinking what he could do.  A little light was still available, so he would have time for something else if needed.  He looked around, hoping to see a camp fire from someone else, but non around.  He looked back at the sticks then walked closer to them.  He concentrated on his hands, than shot out a small bullet of lightning, again, and again, and yet again, the small brush smoking on the fifth shot.  He started to blow onto the smoke, and a small glimmer of light shown and he kept blowing, putting more brush on top.

The fire was now roaring, kind of, being only two feet long.  He walked out looking for more twigs and threw half onto the flames and the rest to the side.  The light was fading, and he would attempt one more trip for wood.  He walked out into the darkness, finding only a few more branches before the light from the sun vanished.  He placed his hands close to the fire, unable to feel it's warmth he kept his hands there until his body stopped shivering.  His pants were drier now and his shirt as well.  He would wait at least an hour more before venturing with a lit stick for more wood for the fire, for now he just listened to the bugs speak, and watched the fire dance.

An hour passed, and he stood up looking around.  An odd spectacle was occurring that he never expected. All around him, just 15 meters away, the flowers were all glowing magnificently.  He looked around as the wind swayed the grass and flowers, looking like the ground was on fire or rather an ocean.  He put his clothing back on, and walked out into the meadow nearby, now standing within the luminescent ocean of flowers.  He started to run, watching as the flowers parted way causing a beautiful effect.  He stopped remember what his purpose was, and headed for the closest tree, easily lit by the plants around it.  He gathered what would he could carry, just slightly heavy for him and went back to the fire.  He tossed a branch onto it, breaking it into smaller pieces and set back out, bring back more.  He repeated the trip two more times than settled back into his spot, looking outwards to the flowers.  He almost forgot why he was out here, again trying to forget the pain he felt.  It was an amazing sight, and he was getting lost in thought to easily.  He swolled his sadness, than walked out into the meadow grabbing a few flowers.  It would make a great present to his sister, whom might not get a chance to see this sight before they would have to head back home.  He gathered what he could, and was back at the fire, sitting and looking around.

He laid down in the grass, staring at the moon that shown brightly above.  It was slightly cloudy, the moon easily etching the clouds edges as they skated across the sky.  He was still slightly angry at the girl whom had beat his sister, but he thought that he needed to forget the fact for the time being.  He was calm enough now to think about the fact that something happened beyond his knowledge and he would have to ask Nozomi about it back at the hospital tomorrow.  Eventually he would confront the girl, even if Nozomi had a good reason for what happened, one way or another, he felt that he would at least have to do that.
