The Island was always peaceful, and today was no different. Tsino, always had something he wanted to say to me, or to teach me, so when he told me to stop by his house today, I didn't think of anything out of the ordinary. Actually, I am hoping that he'll be cooking something because he makes really tasty dishes and he lets me have as much as i want!
I admired all the hard work we all put into this Island: cutting down trees, and wild jungle bushes and grass. It made it so much easier to get around, specially since we also made paths. It looked like paradise, a tamed jungle, unlike the uninhabited surrounding Islands that we sometimes went into to forage fruits. It also reminded me, that the time to do maintenance on the Island was quickly approaching. I loved it, because everyone got together and everyone cooked meals, and it was all very fun.
Suddenly, I heard the voice of my mother calling out from behind me, "Nel!!!"
