Ooc: Zody, don’t forget to add the jutsu description at the bottom in a spoiler. Also, sorry for taking so long to post. Started a new job and the new schedule is messing with me.

IC:

Dameon grinned watching as the events unfolded and made a mental note to award their teamwork at the end of it all. However while Dameon’s subtle counter attack had been avoided being in the air without balance would lead Dovy overexposed. Tenshiro’s attack while accurate was off just slightly in timing enough to allow people of higher ranked skill avoid such a combo. Dameon would avoid this attack by simply leaping into the air with his full speed using his bokken to block the incoming kunai. While kunai were metal and should be able to stick into wood Dameon’s bokken deflected the shuriken with ease sending them flying erratically as he swung upward in a vertical form to strike Dovy in his stomach with the bokken. Dameon was a fair sensei but an error in timing deserved punishment. The bokken would hit in a good area and though the strength of a jounin would slam against his stomach it wouldn’t cause any permanent or lethal damage.

Dameon recognized his exposure and turned to face Tenshiro realizing he was the bigger threat at the moment. Taking out another kunai he launched it at the genin at the speed a special jounin would launch it at to improve upon his last throw and to see if the genin would adjust accordingly. As he landed on the ground he back stepped away from the three keeping them in front of him as he stood there his bokken out to his right side the tip of it touching the grass slightly. He looked at them with serious eyes as he watched them then they reverted to a softer form.

“That was actually very good. You can tweak the timing a bit and it would be perfect. Keep at it though,” he stated hoping to give them some added motivation with his compliment to their fighting style. The fact of the matter was Dameon was miles above them in ability and he knew this. However seeing their teamwork work near flawlessly to make him have to think and not rely on muscle memory was something to commend. Enemy shinobi that were a lower rank than him might have actually been hit by such a combo. The way Tenshiro had used Dovy to hide his water jutsu while Dovy avoided his teammates jutsu at the last second was amazing considering tey had only met for the first time a few hours ago.

If it was fairly obvious at this point that the two Genin were in-sync with each other's movements even though they had never met prior to this situation. It was like clockwork, just before Shotō's "Mizurappa" made, what could be a devastating blow to both Dovy and Sensei, his blonde haired teammate managed to push himself out of harm's way via a very crafty wind technique that Shotō himself couldn't place. Unfortunately for them, Dameon moved out of reach at the last second as well which proceeded in a projectile battle between Dovy and Dameon. It was in this time that Shotō began devising another plan.

Standing in the exact same position he eyed his various surroundings, truly there was nothing to note here. The scenery was the exact same, the same grass, the same rocks, but now there was a stream of water from Shotō past technique, which he knew would come in handy with his technique. Fortunately for Dovy, Shotō was a smart guy. But in his next attack he had to make absolute sure to keep Dovy out of harm's way and in the process keep from drawing suspicion on himself. As noted before he knew for a fact that Dovy would try to draw as much attention to himself as possible to which Shotō knew exactly how to take advantage of this.

His eyes still directed upward he made no hesitation to throw himself out of the way when Dameon threw what he presumed to be kunai at him. Almost in the style of a barrel roll he jumped to the right while curling his body in a formation that allowed him to roll a little bit farther than what he intended. But thankfully, he managed to move out the way just before he saw the kunai plunge into the ground. Had he been standing there three seconds earlier he probably would've been dead by now. But thankfully his reflexes helped him out with this one.

Without skipping a beat he ran back to his original position pulling the kunai from the ground and holding it to his side. This will come in handy later. He thought to himself as he now moved a few meters back creating what was now a 20 meter distance between himself and Dameon. He watched Dameon and soon after Dovy come to the ground. His sensei commented on their skills frankly was a step up from their previous treatment but he had no time to waste. He had to get this done. His eyes locked with Dovy then they quickly moved to the right sending a signal for him to move out of the way just in case.

Quickly he devised the necessary handseals necessary before performing the Water Release: Rising Slice Jutsu. He shot them almost as if he were a clock moving from different angels starting from the far left then reaching the far right. One after the other creating four total that would make attempt to crash into Dameon. A smile pressed upon his lips now with the knowledge that with the pre-existing water source from his past technique, the potency of this one was increased. And with the high speed it was moving at there would be little time for Dameon to dodge it without having to deal with Dovy as well. As the jets of water ran across the ground reaching at 4 meters high, Shotō knew that while this technique can be dodged the victim in question would have to focus on where to dodge and in the time that he was dodging Dovy could easily attack him from behind. It was simple. But it had to executed properly and he hoped Dovy could execute that part of the plan without a hitch.

But for now, since the jets didn't require him to stay in one place he moved to the left of his original position since he knew very well of the consequences when you stayed in one area for too long.

Dovy rubbed his throbbing abdomen as he kept his eye on Shikyo-Sama and Shoto in his peripheral vision. He gave a quick thought about the events that unfolded in those last minutes to learn from his mistakes, and to conduct better decisions for future plans. First was the jump toward Dameon, foolish maybe?--or just too slow? His potential teacher manipulated Dovy's energy and momentum to be used against him. That was almost too close, especially since Shoto shot a water justu at him. Luckily, he was able to dodge it, and his plan stacked up rather well like he hoped. For once he realized that teamwork could be improvised. It might even be the best kind. It was that call and response and trust in the abilities of your teammates. Yes, Dovy was finally bringing to understand now. In the long run, his decision to execute a basic tactic and distract Shikyo-Sama was not that bad. Second, he now understood the disadvantage of being in the air. It limits movement and evasion, giving you opponent an easier hit if you had no tools or jutsu to maneuver with. Had Dameon not held back, or had he used an actual blade, Dovy would probably be dead. While taking his hand off of his sore tummy, he made sure to stamp a massive mental note on the events that occurred.

The three of them stood away from in each other to form a triangle, giving heavy eye contact. “That was actually very good. You can tweak the timing a bit and it would be perfect. Keep at it though,” Dameon said to them. Dovy tried hard to keep his cool and show little signs of excitement hearing those words come from him. He was right though, timing could have been the deciding factor since it generally is in most situations. Either way, it was expected from the improvising duo. Dovy was still very impressed with Shoto's work. He managed to dodge two quick kunai, and he took the initiative to attack Dameon as well. This was only their first time fighting together too. Imagine what the the two could accomplish together after a few training sessions together. Dovy was now really looking forward to fighting him after this training exhibition.

Immediately, Dovy caught Shoto trying to get his attention, giving him eye contact and strong nonverbal communication as a signal to prepare himself for the next attack. It was almost like a very weak form of telepathy. He responded to Shoto's cautious signal by getting into his fighting stance, knowing that Shoto would be the first to make his move and that he would have to follow. "Stay on the floor this time..." he thought to himself, waiting for the proper timing to react. Shoto jolted right while forming hand signs. Dovy got low, kept his distance this time and threw two kunai aimed at Dameon's feet, once again, to grab his attention and force him to multitask. The only problem about this was that by no means would it be a surprise to him. Still, there was a twist. One of the two Kunai had a flash bomb attached to it to set off right before Shoto's four slices of water flew toward Dameon. Dovy positioned himself in the proper area so that if Shikyo-Sama were to dodge the attacks, he would be away from the incoming attack. As a follow up, Dovy reached in his back pocket for five more shuriken and threw it at Dameon wether he stayed in the same position or dodged the attack. This was to make sure the pace of their combo didn't slow down. He stood there cautiously and on his guard, ready to counter, waiting for the results of the event.

Dameon watched intently making sure he mapped all of their movements and knew exactly what he would be dealing with. The time he had taken to speak had been used as his two opponents had already begun to form another attack. He grinned and liked the initiative. He watched the hand signs that were being formed and quickly stepped back recognizing like most that certain hand seals generally meant a certain element at least in conjunction with other hand seals. He also noted that he was now in a small puddle of water a coincidence he didn't find likely. Keeping his bokken out he knew it would be able to overpower their ranged attacks if he could deflect them and simply block them from coming in. Dovy had obviously realized this because as Dameon concentrated on him for a second he noticed the kunai with the flash bomb attached to the ring on the end of it. As it flew at him he quickly slashed at it and deflected it followed by the water rings that were flying at him he made sure to block those as well.

The shuriken on the other hand he had a plan for. Angling the bokken slightly as it collided with the shuriken sent them flying straight up into the air. Using his advanced knowledge of weaponry as well as his speed he collected them all individually in his left hand as he rested the bokken against his right shoulder. By now his opponents would have realized that simple range attacks especially with weapons would be of no use to them. He fanned the five shuriken out along his hand and launched them at an incredible speed equal to his own skill. Two would fly at Dovy, another two would fly at Shoto, and one would fly at Kara aiming for their jugulars and as such even though the speed of the projectiles was great it would make it slightly easier to dodge considering he didn't want to kill them.  He hung his bokken back onto his left hip and walked slowly toward them like a beacon of destruction that would move or bow to nobody. He got within ten meters of them and stopped and grinned.

"You two are good enough. I won't be holding back from this point forward. I wont dishonor you by holding back anymore and instead allow you to see exactly what you might have to fight against. I will try not to kill either one of you but I can make no promises. Consider this a final test to be on my squad. Welcome to the bloody mist," he said with a maniacal grin as he drew the Midnight Childs Blade from the sheathe on his back. The dull old dagger looking very plain and boring until he sent his chakra into it and the chakra blade quickly appeared and extended out to its full meter and a half length. The chakra blade becoming so beautiful and majestic looking that the blade appeared to be solid and glowing blue as opposed to actually being made of chakra.

"If I have one piece of advice to you. Do not let my sword touch you. You will die or at the very least lost a limb with the flick of my wrist. Remember this is still a test and I gave you the parameters before we had begun. Use them. Fear is your worst enemy hear, you wont have time to respond to my moves so go with instinct. If you cower when I attack I will know that you don't deserve to be on this squad," he said boldly as he continued walking toward them slowly but surely as he moved into the middle of the small triangle they had formed.

"The question is...who will I attack first?"

Shotō expected this, frankly he had to be a fool not to expect Shikyo-Sama to practically bypass all their techniques as though they were nothing but child playthings. But considering his ranking over them, this was all but to be expected. However, Shotō knew from experience that even the biggest of brutes could be taken down with enough effort and with enough skill. It is because of this alone that he mentally decided it was time for him Dovy to regroup. His golden eyes watched closely, at each and every movement that Shikyo-Sama made in dodging his own abilities as well as defending himself from Dovy's weapons. He analyzed him like a lab rat, picking him apart in each and every way that he could. He was good with dodging weapons and good anticipation, especially with things that he could see. However, naturally the brain could only do so much. No matter how much he anticipated their movements, if they could find a way to trick him he would be lost. This would be their key to victory. But for now he had to dodge the incoming shuriken coming at him.

Keeping his body in the same position he waited for the shuriken to get close enough, and using the kunai he acquired and his keen reflexes, he tumbled to the left and threw the kunai causing it to collide with one shuriken which in turn collided with another. As the three weapons fell to the ground, he picked himself back up and moved back to retrieve the fallen projectiles. Smooth move Shotō, smooth move. Gathering the fallen items he directed his attention back at Shikiyo-Sama.

The entire time Shikyo-Sama spoke, Shotō watched Dovy giving him mental signals that now was the time to regroup. He understood the signals last time so hopefully he understand this time.

His eyes watched the blade and he listened closely and as soon as Shikyo-Sama stopped speaking, Shotō dashed into the woods like a deer running to its den. While he hopped Dovy would follow, he assumed Kara wouldn't since frankly he didn't know whether or not she was still alive and kicking but if she was, it was time for her contribution and if not, then hopefully she was alive just enough to be taken to the hospital. But either way he knew know was the perfect time to pull out all the stops, no mercy none of that. All of that flew out the window, even if he had to retort to using his kekkei genkai, which while he hated it, it always managed to give him an upper hand since no one aside from himself knew about it. That was the brilliant thing in having a different last name other than Jugō. No one knew meaning he could use this to not only get Shikiyo-Sama to keep his distance but he could also use it to gain the advantage for himself and Dovy. But only time would tell.
