Kurama

Kurama

D-rank
Kurama took a deep breath while standing infront of the door of the classroom in order to mentally prepare himself for his second day in a row of substituting for Sonohara sensei. Sonohara sensei had injured herself during a training session. The class Kurama was going to be helping out again today was class 24-C. In this class there was a prankster named Hikaru, who on the first day rigged a chalkboard eraser to fall on Kurama as he slid open the door. At the time Kurama was feeling nervous and vulnerable so he had picked up the eraser and lit it on fire with his Katon chakra. Kurama smiled, remembering how big a deal he made the eraser into last time; but somehow it was a success in that he now had the admiration of the whole class including the prankster himself.

Kurama slid the the door open slowly, not walking through the threshold of door to hopefully avoid another childish prank as he had previously. After a few seconds of standing there akwardly, Kurama was convinced that there was no prank today and smiled at the children who had been watching him stand there. "Good morning class." He said as he looked around the room. The class responded in unison, "Good morning Kurama Sensei.". Kurama strolled to his place at the front of the class, turned and then faced the room full of aspiring shinobi and kunoichi. Kurama opened his mouth to tell the class what they were going to do today, but sadly Hikaru cut him off. "What are we going to do today Kurama sensei?" Hikaru asked, his voice full of excitement and anticipation. Kurama sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Well, since today is such a beautiful sunny day, I figured that we would have a little sparring practice." He replied, wanting to lecture the kid for being slightly irritating. Although Hikaru was starting off the day by being annoying, Kurama knew that the kid's intentions were in the right place.

"Woohoo"'s and "yeah"'s erupted from the children. I guess the kids don't really get to spar all that much.  Sonohara probably doesn't hold class out side that often because the weather sucks here and the kids could get sick. Kurama thought to himself as he motioned for the kids to follow him out the door. Kurama walked out the door, down the long nostalgic hallway and through the large doors at the end of the hall that led to the courtyard. Kurama was like a mother duck, with long line of little ducklings behind him, all chattering and excited about what is to come. There was a circle about 10m in diameter painted in white  in the center of the courtyard.  Kurama made his way to the side of the circle that was opposite of the entrance back into the building and waited for all of the children to all gather outside. Once they were all outside Kurama spoke in a loud voice in order to make sure that all of the children heard him. "Now, today we are going to do some sparring. Everyone find a partner and then line up along the edge of the circle with your partner, and I will then explain further."

The children scrambled to find partners. Hikaru was partnered with his partner in crime like always. His name was Keita. Kurama felt sort of sad that he didn't have such a good friend during his academy days. Well, he did have his sister whom he was grateful for but it wasn't the same as making a real friend.  "Now that you all have your partners, you guys will be sparring two on two. Remember, teamwork is key, not only here but it will be an important skill to have when you finally become shinobi." The children sparred until sunset, yet they still wanted more.
