1 A Meeting with the Hokage Wed Nov 20, 2013 2:05 pm
Ayumi
D-rank
Ayumi stood outside, looking up at the door to the Hokage's office. This was the place. After spending a while in the village, it seemed like a good time to introduce herself formally to the person in charge. Before jumping straight into the flow of things, it was good to let herself known, to prove she wasn't an outsider and was in fact just a wanderer who needed a place to rest. At the time, she had no idea what to expect. She didn't know what this person was going to be like and whether or not she was going to be sent away. She was wearing her usual clothes; a short, black kimono with a red trim and a plain black cloak. Usually, Ayumi wouldn't think of not having the hood of the cloak covering half of her face but for such a formal occasion she decided to have it down, exposing her ash coloured hair that travelled down her back, hints of light purple shimmering in it. She decided that she looked a lot less threatening this way.
Many thoughts accumulated in Ayumi's mind. The most prominent of all was how she was going to overcome her communication problems. She was deaf and found it very hard to talk to other people directly because she was embarrassed of her wobbly tone. She knew it mustn't have sounded right because of people's usual reactions. They held back laughs. Should she just try to explain? Or should she tell the Hokage about her problem first? Using her Mind's Voice jutsu was completely and utterly out of the question. Doing that would only cause people to think she was attacking the Hokage, not to mention the fact that the target of the jutsu cannot respond to her voice while under the genjutsu.
There was no point in standing there wondering how things were going to turn out. She had to go in there and find out for herself. Somewhat hesitantly, Ayumi tapped upon the great doors and waited patiently. She had been brought to that door by signs placed around the place. She hoped it was in fact the right room and that the shinobi guarding the building had already alerted the Hokage about her arrival.
