Ano
D-rank
Mission name: Our Bread and Butter: Basic Needs.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Forage for food, etc.
Location: Wilderness - Kaze no Kuni.
Reward:150 Ryo.
Mission description: As a desert state, we've always been reliant on other countries to export goods, that we might simply survive. This marks the beginning of our endeavors to become self-sufficient, and embrace our culture.
Mission details: Quite simply, this mission entails going out and finding plants, hunting animals, and collecting resources that are useful in keeping the citizens of the Hidden Sand well-fed. Finding specific items of interest that the infirmary can use will net you a small bonus. You're unlikely to find any major threats while you're in the designated areas.
Mission name: Adjunct Teacher: Academy.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Teach the students in one area of ninja knowledge.
Location: Sunagakure no Sato.
Reward: 150 Ryo.
Mission description: One of the normal instructors for the Academy is out on a mission for the day. You just have to teach them what you know best.
Mission details: There are bound to be a few troublemakers. When are there not? Deal with them without critically injuring them, and continue your curriculum.
Mission name: Patrol: Within the Walls.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Scout out criminals inside the village.
Location: Sunagakure no Sato.
Reward: 150 Ryo.
Mission description: We didn't think this was actually necessary, but apparently we have to pay you for this. Lately there have been some issues with people stealing, vandalizing buildings, roughing up the villagers, there's no end to what these gangs will do. Genin, do not engage the subject of your suspicion. You are to report to a superior-ranking ninja immediately with your findings.
Mission details: You can take this mission even in the middle of an ongoing thread, should the occasion arise! (You cannot use WC from prior to when you put this mission briefing in your post.)
Mission name: Recruiting: Ninjū.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Find wild doges, cates, and other beasties.
Location: Kaze no Kuni.
Reward: 150 Ryo. -50 if you deal major damage.
Mission description: The police force of Suna has always been understaffed, if not strapped for ninja then for animals. We have to sniff out these drug dealers somehow... There are plenty of strays around the village, but if you want to find us some more...feral companions, feel free.
Mission details: Catching, much less subduing, an animal relying on its instincts can be much easier said than done. Whatever the case, they will have D-2 Perception and Reaction Time, as well as D-3 in either Strength or Speed. Their Endurance is their weak point, as most animals tire fairly quickly, relative to humans. Any animal you encounter will have D-rank natural weapons, such as teeth or claws. If you deal C-rank or higher damage to the animal, its medical bills come out of your paycheck.
Mission name: Charting: The Endless Dunes.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Make a map!
Location: Endless Dunes - Kaze no Kuni Wilderness.
Reward: 150 Ryo.
Mission description: The busiest busy work we could get ya. Yep. It's big. It's empty. But even we haven't mapped every inch of the place. Let's get to that before someone else does. Even if it's dull and tiring work, it's very important to our national security.
Mission details: You're going on a camping trip! You might encounter a pack of coyotes, but even they don't hang around such barren wastes much....
All you have to do for this mission is mark landmarks and their distance in relation to either the village or other landmarks; no cartographical skills required!
Mission name: Checkpoint Setup.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Help set up a camp in the Wilderness.
Location: Wilderness - Kaze no Kuni.
Reward: 150 Ryo.
Mission description: Fairly simple: since we've started scouting out the dunes that make up the Land of Wind, we've found some pockets of stable ground and rock formations that make really well for rest stops. For us? Yes, that's true. It also helps for us to keep track of...visitors.
Mission details: All you have to do is ward off a few animals while the caravan reaches its destination, before assisting them in pitching tents, hollowing out natural caves, building divider fences, and so on.
Mission name: Sprint for Supplies.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Complete an emergency restocking run.
Location: Kaze no Kuni.
Reward: 150 Ryo.
Mission description: It might be one of our training camps, it might be one of our outposts, or our travellers' checkpoints. All we know is, they might need food, water, kunai, it varies from case to case. If we don't send when they ask, they might be dead from starvation or dehydration if we're late. Even a Genin courier holds lives in their hands.
Mission details: You'll be given a rather heavy backpack full of Sealing Scrolls, containing basic survival equipment and rations. Just take it to the designated area and you'll be fine. They take inventory, by the way. Don't try anything funny.
Mission name: Dusting Duty.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Clean the employer's house or business.
Location: Anywhere within Sunagakure no Sato.
Reward: 150 Ryo. -20 if you break anything.
Mission description: It shouldn't be too hard. A desert storm came through and dirtied everything up! All you have to do is get every nook and cranny. You can do the walking-on-the-walls thing, can't you?
Mission details: You should meet with your employer before starting. Don't want to make a ruckus without them knowing what's going on. Otherwise, as above. Oh. What your employer didn't mention, because they didn't know, was that there are Wind Spiders or Sand Salamanders that infested the place during the storm. Evacuate them, kill them, just...don't let them be there after you were supposed to have cleaned up. Also, don't let them even know that there was an infestation. Bad for real estate. If property damage occurs, it comes out of your paycheck.
Mission name: Tunnel Troubles.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Assist the spelunking team.
Location: Wilderness - Kaze no Kuni.
Reward: 150 Ryo.
Mission description: A team of subterranean specialists was sent to investigate the rock tables below the sea of sand that comprises most of the Land of Wind. While they have been making progress in finding natural passages carved by water long ago, they've encountered a literal roadblock.
Mission details: Since the spelunking team is just made of highly trained civilians, they need a ninja to clear a path for them. Two D-rank jutsu should do; using precision with weaker techniques makes it easier to control. A C-rank jutsu will cause the local burrowing animals to become upset, and you'll need to ward them off somehow without hurting the delving troupe.
