Ukiyo
Dead
Ukiyo had just fought the head of the Senju clan, Sousetsu, and was heading towards Tsuchi no Kuni underground. She went rogue the minute she challenged Sousetsu, knowing full well what she planned to do to him. Ukiyo was thankful Sousetsu didn't come accompanied, or else it would have made her plan difficult. Her only regret however was not having succeeded in that plan, however it was only a matter of time before the two of them meet again. Still, Ukiyo's mind was plagued with chaos along her whole journey.
I...can't believe I missed my chance to dispose of him. All that preparation, that training, for what? Perhaps it was selfish of me to go after him, to concentrate on the Senju because of my personal vendetta. It should have been Konoha...maybe then I would have succeeded. Perhaps it was the goal that was wrong... Perhaps. What do you think we would have done? You would not care about individuals, only the whole. Correct. I am still very much human, unfortunately. I cannot fully think in that way... I try to, I really do. I can sometimes, but when I see the two clans... when I remember my parents... I feel all too human. You are what you are Ukiyo, do not forget that. You are human and you are a Senju. Ukiyo was furious at the thought of being one of them. The Senju were despicable to her, everything she stood against. Things change. Caterpillars become butterflies, seeds become flowers. We can't escape what we are right now, but the future can be anything. The seed does not wait to become a flower, though. The caterpillar enjoys its leaves until one day it gets full and moves on. They do not wait, they simply be. Well right now I am running to a foreign land after failing my main objective, so I'd like to know it will get better. It is impossible to know that, only a fool would seek the answer.
At the Tsuchi no Kuni borders, Ukiyo emerged from the earth. She stretched her arms out and twisted her torso, aching severely from her journey. Her entire body felt as stiff as a tree, and her spine crackled as she twisted like the snapping of bark. It had been a long journey, but Ukiyo had finally made it to where she would meet Mitsuo: the land of Earth. Towering pillars of stone could be found everywhere, along with barren trees scattered about. Ukiyo saw land forms magnitudes larger than she ever has before. Valleys and caves, plateaus and peninsula. There were patches of grass here and there around her, and some shrubs along with them. A few trees garnished leaves, though not in any plentiful quantity. Ukiyo's expression was somewhat grim at the dull grey landscape, despite the impressive forms they took.
So this is the place? Everything here looks...dead. Is this really where I was supposed to meet him? Ukiyo thought for a moment, recalling what Mitsuo told her. She didn't doubt her memory, and knew exactly where to go. Well, this isn't the exact spot anyway. Perhaps things get a bit greener closer to the village. She shivered at the thought. The village. I wonder what they're like here. If they're anything like the leaf...well, I might as well find out now either way. Who knows? Maybe they hate Konoha just as much as I do... With that, Ukiyo continued inland towards the village of Stone, taking in the surroundings of this strange new land every step of the way. Her travels had come to an end but her journey had only just begun; from this day forward, a new era in her life would begin.
