Now make sure the words that expel from your mouth are of use to me, or they may be your last. Mitsuo’s mind wasn’t completely all there for the moment, still processing the information that he had just found out. He had been the head of Konohagakure no Kato’s Konoha after all. Even when the death threat came from the blonde he didn’t flinch, and nearly smirked.
Does he think he can kill me? Does he think he can so simply dispatch of Konoha no Kensei? The Chita Sennin? The man who killed Hao Uchiha? Who does he think he’s dealing with, eh nii-san?
Mitsuo looked back towards him, a cooler steeled look briefly flashing across his face as the ANBU side of him had seemed to take over, something that he had to consciously supress as he didn’t want to cause any issues. In all likelihood the two of the men in the room would easily dispatch of him, but he didn’t want to test that theory and calmed himself instead, carefully thinking of his next words. He was surprised again though when Tsuyo spoke. This man who had committed heinous crimes against Konohagakure no Kato stood before him now and spoke up for him. Was it possible that, even after all these years, after Mitsuo had changed so much, he still recognised him? It wasn’t a farfetched idea and Mitsuo could see it being the case, as he did spend more than enough time with Kimaru before Tsuyo had departed from the village.
Speak boy. I don't control the man. He may yet intend to kill you. There it was again, the idle threat that lingered in the room like an unwanted guest, which to be fair is exactly what he was. He tried not to go to that place, instead showing both of his hands to show that he was not holding a weapon before beginning to speak once more.
“I apologize, Lord Tsuchikage, for I have had a most treacherous voyage. As I have said, I am Sasori Chita, former,” He nearly spat the word as he spoke it, barbed with poison, “Head of Konoha’s ANBU Black Ops. I have bested foes such as the traitor Synn Karisuma and the international terrorist Hao Uchiha, but apparently that wasn’t good enough for my village. It took everything from me, including attempting to take my life. In an attempt to save myself, I faked my own death, and escaped with my life and everything else that I could.” He slowly pulled out three objects and approached the Tsuchikage, bowing slightly once more in keeping with his decorum while dealing with anther Kage. He handed him the ANBU mask that marked him out as the Head of Konoha’s ANBU, the special patterns and kanji on the mask stating as much. “My mask, a showing of truth.” If the kage was to take it that was fine, if not he would place it on the desk and then proceed to pull out a small book with the words “Bingo Book” written in small writing on the front. He would once again hand this to the Tsuchikage, or place it on the desk depending on his reaction. He wasn’t sure what this Tsuchikage knew of Tsuyo Hyuga, and he didn’t know if he would be exposing him, but now was not the time to second guess his actions. “My Bingo Book, a showing of trust.”
As he looked towards the Tsuchikage and reached his hand towards his armour once more he nearly lost his resolve for what he was about to do, this next action being the hardest thing he would have had to do in his life so far. As he reached into his armour he pulled out three folders which he had brought with him. Inside were copies of the files that he had kept, the first one having profiles on every shinobi in Konohagakure no Kato who had either lived there or had visited since his tenure as ANBU Captain, the second holding the ANBU Roster and guard rotations of the village, and the third holding all of the defensive plans and the layout of the village. This information was his bargaining chip of sorts, and he did not wish to give up the village that he loved, but he reminded himself that it needed to be done. He handed the files to the Tsuchikage and looked him right in the eye.
“And these files, all of my files entrusted to me by the Hokage, Takeshi Uzumaki, who has betrayed me. These files will give you anything you wish to know about The Village Hidden in the Leaves and all of its shinobi. I gift these to you as a showing of my sacrifice and loyalty.” Mitsuo got down on a knee in front of the Tsuchikage, bowing his head and planting a fist on the ground, as he would when addressing the Hokage. He could feel the oddly new weight of the blade Messiah strapped to his back as he did so, his Nodachi gifted to him before leaving the village. His next words were said softly but determinedly. “I have been betrayed by my village, Lord Tsuchikage, and in being betrayed I have sought you out. It is no secret that Konoha and Iwa do not get along, your nin Tame having destroyed nearly half of our village and killed the Hokage Tatsumaru Uchiha not long ago, but in that I have come to you. The Enemy of my enemy is my friend, and I hope you will be my friend in this. I come asking you for sanctuary, to allow me to live here in peace and work under you. Nobody knows I am still alive, and nobody knows I am here. I am untraceable by all and I will not cause you trouble.” With those words he kept knelt and looked towards the ground, taking the Nodachi Messiah in his free hand and holding it up to Kazu, still inside its casing so that it would not seem like a threat. He could only hope that, while putting himself at the Tsuchikage’s mercy he would not be stricken down in the process, for that would put an abruptly short end to his mission of saving Konohagakure no Kato from the corruption that ate them from within.
