It was an early morning for Hayasa. Today was the day where she would be assigned her first mission as a Genin. She rushed to get ready, slipping on every layer of her clothes in a hurry. She was in such a rush, she almost put her shoes on the wrong feet. She laughed a little about the mishap and continued getting dressed. There was a feeling of excitement to her, you could see it in the way she smiled. She ran down the stairs and out the front door and was on her way to the mission board. Her hair flowed in the wind as she jumped up onto the rooftops above her to take in the setting before she started her mission. The sun shone brightly in the sky to the east, birds were chirping and fluttering around her. This was the perfect day to do a mission. Hayasa made a mad dash for the mission board, jumping from rooftop to rooftop.
She got to the last roof and jumped off, as she landed  a little bit of dust kicked up from her feet and she stood up, staring at the mission she would be taking on. She saw a scroll with her name on it, Hatake Hayasa and pulled it off the board.
"Let's see what todays mission is. I hope it's something where I can take out an enemy ninja."
The letter read: Hatake Hayasa, you are hereby assigned to your first mission which will be helping out the ninja academy, training young ninja with the help of a teacher within the Academy. Report to the Ninja Academy on receiving this assignment.
"Ehhh.." Hayasa's face had the look of dissapointment all over it. She didn't know that only being a Genin that she had little missions to work with. She looked at the bottom of the letter.
P.S.- I bet you're pretty bummed about the mission you will be taking but look at it this way, you're  helping out the village in a pretty big way. You should be happy!
This gave Hayasa a big relief because she wanted to help the village in the first place, and what better way then to help young ninja who were in training to become a Genin like herself.
She started to make her way across the village to the Ninja Academy.

After a few minutes of walking, Hayasa made it to the Ninja Academy. She went through the doors and up to the administrator at the counter. She pulled out her mission scroll and handed it to the Ninja behind the desk.
"Hatake Hayasa reporting for my mission." She smiled at the Academy Ninja and he gave her a quick smile back.
"The Hokage let me know a head of time that you would be coming here. Just make your way down the hall and the first room on your left will be the junior ninja substitution training."
"Okay, sounds good thanks!" Hayasa walked down the hall and opened the room doors. In the room were 12 junior ninja and their teacher who was instructing them until she walked in the door.
"It's as easy as that. But to get a better idea we-Oh." The instructor turned around to the sound of the door opening.
"Why hello there. I was just teaching the juniors about the substitution jutsus. I was about to tell them it would work better with another ninja helping to show them and you happen to walk in. Nice to meet you. I'm Takanashi Haruka. Nice to meet you, Hatake Hayasa correct?"
"Yes sir. Nice to meet you and nice to meet all you junior ninja!" Hayasa was estatic. She waved at all the junior ninja.
"Well class, ready to start?" Haruka asked.
The junior ninja nodded.
"Okay, well start like this. Hayasa would you please go to the other side of the classroom? Once you're in position, I'll throw a kunai you're way and you use the substitution jutsu and dodge it, letting the Kunai hit the substitute."
Hayasa nodded and proceeded to the other side of the room and got into a defensive stance.
"Ready Hayasa?"
She nodded again, signaling she was ready to commence with the exercise.
Haruka threw the kunai, you could hear the force of the throw cutting the air as it drew nearer to Hayasa.
She quickly signed Tiger, Boar, Ox, and Snake as the Kunai was within inches of hitting her. In a puff of smoke, the kunai hit the log and dropped to the floor. Hayasa appeared behind the log unscathed.
"This time, I'll be throwing two kunai,you think you can handle this?"
Hayasa readied her stance again. Haruka threw two Kunai at mid speed this time, insuring that Hayasa would be able to counter the attack.
In quick succession, Hayasa signed the substitution Jutsu, one kunai hit the log and fell. One down.
The other kunai drew near and it hit it's mark. Poof. Two down.
"Very good Hayasa! You see that class!? That's the way its done. Everyone thank Hayasa for helping us out today."Haruka said.
"Thanks Hayasa!" All the junior ninja shouted.
Hayasa had a huge grin on her face. She was happy she had got to help.
"No problem guys, it was really fun for me. Just remember, when you get to my rank, you will be able to do the same." She said. Hayasa took a bow.
"Thanks for the chance to help Haruka."
"No problem Hayasa. Feel free to come back and help anytime."
With that Hayasa had finished her first mission. She was finally on her way to becoming a true ninja.
