Mission Info:

Juyo moved as swiftly as he could, the bandages on his chest restricting his breathing only slightly. This didn’t bother him much, however. Ever since his dream and losing his parents, he didn’t really feel much anymore. The absence of feelings didn’t even bother him either. To Juyo, it didn’t even register in his mind that things were different. He could feel things in different ways, but he didn’t see this as a bad thing. He remembered that in his dream he had asked for strength to save, so whatever he felt now was just what was needed.

Keeping his mind on the present, he ran through what all he needed to do. Assigned on his first B rank mission, he was to take a partner, travel into the mountainous and ruggid regions of Kumo’s wilderness, find a troll, and kill it. The mission sounded simple, but being labeled as a B rank mission, Juyo knew the troll would be much tougher to fight. He remembered his C rank mission that he fought a drunkard with Genin level Taijutsu. Being a more long and mid-range fighter, Juyo had his hands full and nearly got knocked out. The mission details warned Juyo of the strength of these trolls. They would be even tougher than the drunkard from before.

Making his way up one of the many mountains that surrounded Kumogakure no Sato, Juyo stopped to look around him. The village already was high enough to be completely enveloped by clouds, but now Juyo was higher than the village and could see some of its buildings poke through the clouds. The view was marvelous, but unfortunately Juyo didn’t feel any appreciation for this. His face was completely frozen in an apathetic manner. It was quite breezy and cold up at this altitude, so Juyo zipped up his hoodie and stuck his hands in the pockets to keep warm. Lifting up his right arm, however, he tried to block some sunlight from his eyes. Juyo looked around for the person he was to take this mission with. He had no personal knowledge of the ninja, and didn’t know how well this partnering would go, but it was how things had to be for this mission so Juyo went with it.

Did these ass holes really think that she would simply team up with another ninja because they told her too? She scoffed as she walked towards the mountain that they were supposed to meet at. She would be sure to let the person know that she would not be bossed around or treated like an inferior ninja. She was perfectly capable of handling herself. She wasn't afraid of a stupid troll, even if it was powerful. Her long blonde hair struggled to release itself from it's pulled back position as her deep blue eyes showed only anger for no reason at all. Her sword rested flat on her shoulder as she moved up the mountain, stomping with every step. Some might call her a child, but she simply saw herself as superior. That was it.

As she reached the top of the mountain, she saw the boy at a distance. He didn't seem that powerful. His facial expression was blank and his appearance was quite plain, at least to her. She drudged over to him with a furrowed brow and stopped at about ten meters away. "I'm guessing you are my 'partner'?" She huffed as she spoke to the man with disgust. The boy better not slow her down, or she would kill him along with the damn troll. "Let's just get this done." She sighed with aggravation as she waited for him to lead the way. She was to angry to listen to the actual details of where the troll could be found during debriefing, so she would let him lead. She wanted to keep her eye on him anyway.

His eyes quickly found his ninja partner, making him frown slightly at the sight of yet another girl.  She walked with an arrogant step, her sword shining blatantly in the sun as she openly carried it over her shoulder.  Trolls weren't completely blind or dumb so any kind of flash of sun glinting off of the girl's sword could either alert trolls to their location or make them run off.  They weren't any more than normal animals, yet here this girl was stomping her way up the mountain.  She obviously wasn't a hunter-nin.  Sighing, Juyo decided somethings needed to be said.

"I'm guessing you are my 'partner'?" She huffed at him in disgust.  For what reason, Juyo had no idea.  She was the only one not befitting a ninja.  Seeing her actions, he decided against giving her hunting advice. "Let's just get this done."  Juyo nodded in silent agreement, waiting for a  moment, expecting the arrogant individual to lead on, but when she waited as well, he merely smirked.  Typical kunoichi, thinks she is the best for being assigned to a relatively high ranked mission, yet solely relies on others to take care of the objectives.

Shaking his head, he moved up the mountain, picking up his pace into a soft run.  They would be entering the trolls' hunting grounds soon, so silence would be key.  Knowing how visible his partner would be with her shiny new sword, he darted off onto a higher cliff face, just 10 meters above the path that they were on, and began running along the narrow path that jut out from the side of the mountain.  He would use his partner as bait, hoping a troll would be hungry and go for something so shiny as her.  There was no intention of leaving her behind or letting her die, that wasn't his plan at all.  Just a simple lure before taking the beast down swiftly and quietly.   Making too much noise inside the trolls' hunting grounds could end up leading them into a pack of trolls.  One would prove quite the problem already.

She waited for the boy to take the lead and simply followed for a good distance behind him. She didn't really care if he lived or died, as she didn't particularly want a partner in the first place. As long as she was a ninja in Kumogakure, she would have that problem though. Maybe she would leave this place soon. It wasn't like they were hurting for ninja, and it would allow her to focus solely on getting stronger. She would ponder that later, however, and focused on the mission at hand. After a few minutes of heading forward, the boy moved to higher ground. She rolled her eyes at the tactic, as it was kinda pointless in her opinion. They were fighting one target who was bigger and slower than them. it wasn't like this would be that difficult. Either the 'ninja' she was with was a coward or overly cautious. Either way, she didn't care. She would gladly take the lead on this fight, to prove that she was stronger than him in every way.

A few more minutes passed before a low rumble was heard out of her left ear. Her head snapped in that direction and scanned the area. There was no mistake, the Troll was close. She stopped moving forward at such a fast pace and decided to take a quieter approach. She used cover to weave closer to the source of the sound she had just heard. After moving a few feet, she saw the beast in plain sight. It was tall and dark green in skin color. It was quite stout and looked as if it was an idiot. Slobber hung from it's over sized teeth that stuck out of it's mouth. Any other woman might have been grossed out, but it simply just made Hoshi want to put the bastard out of it's misery. She crouched down behind a rock, waiting for the beast to turn it's head. Once that happened, she sprung out like a lioness as she drew her sword back to strike. She decided to amplify the swords capabilities with one of her jutsu as well, activating Ranton chakra all over the sword. The light blue chakra that covered the blade crackled with excitement as she neared the beast. Though, not everything went as she planned. The troll turned, hearing her in some way, and blocked the vertical swing with it's arm. The sword connected, going three and a half inches into the trolls arm, but it seemed to only make the troll grunt.

Hoshi landed on the ground and moved backwards immediately, now having the beasts full attention on her. It was quite a bit faster than expected. Apparently, size didn't not always mean a lack of speed. She got out of the Trolls reach and waited for it's next move. Her blade still glistened with Ranton chakra as she waited for an opening. She didn't need the other ninjas help, regardless of how good the damn troll was.

Shaking his head as he watched the girl charge straight at the troll, he couldn't help but be disappointed with his partner.  Just like he expected from her demeanor, she was overconfident and underestimated the troll.  Trolls wouldn't be a problem if they were as slow in their movements as they were in their heads, however that wasn't the case.  They were slow-witted, but the could still move and strike fast, their bigger bodies giving them more strength as well.  At least Juyo had paid attention during the mission briefing.  He watched from above as the girl sliced the troll's arm, making a good sized cut, but it seemed to be only a scratch for the beast.

This could take some time and seeing as the troll knows where she was, Juyo decided it was time to intervene.  From his higher position, he was only a foot or two higher than the troll's head, but with it being distracted by the girl, Juyo had a straight shot at the back of it's neck.  Taking note of the small affect the girl's sword had on the troll, Juyo decided to play it safe.  A circle of mist soon surrounded the troll in a 10 meter diameter.  The mist would be invisible to the troll but visible to the girl and Juyo.  Inside the the ring, three illusionary clones of Juyo sprang from the ground around the troll.  That would keep the troll distracted for a bit and allow both Juyo and the girl to land strikes and then evade.  Hopefully the girl would understand just slightly how to use the ring of mist to her advantage.

Having set things up for the long haul, Juyo formed three lightning javelins that floated in the air around him.  The troll was busy swatting at the clones, each swat dividing them into two, increasing their numbers with each hit.  Juyo fired off all three javelins at the back of the troll's neck, piercing into it's rough skin and sending a slightly rough shock through it's body.  The beast roared in anger at the electric shock, though it didn't seem to be in too much pain.  It would take more hits to bring it down, it seemed.  Not even the weak spot of the back of the neck was very helpful.  Juyo looked down at the girl and her sword.  His three javelins had landed on top of each other in a pinpoint strike, creating a three inch deep cut at the beast's neck.  It hadn't done much, but if there was a way to get the girl to strike the troll's neck, it would definitely send the creature reeling, if not kill it.

Hoshi was just about to strike again, but was stopped by the appearance of a chakra based mist around the troll. Apparently, her partner thought it would be a good idea to actually participate in the fight. It was about damn time. Hoshi observed the trolls confusion, noting that it swung randomly in the mist like it was blind. The boy that she was with probably used a Genjutsu on him, which was fine. It would simply give her the opportunity to strike and kill the troll. Just as she was planning her next attack, she heard the crackle of an element that she knew all too well. She looked up to see three Raiton spears being formed by her partner. After a moment, they were launched into what looked to be the back of the trolls neck. He wanted to play it smart then. The back of the neck was a trolls weak spot, or so she had been told. She would use this opportunity to her advantage. It was now time to strike.

Hoshi did not hesitate as water formed around the soles of her feet. She used this boost of speed to weave in and out of the trolls strikes, and launched herself off the ground into the air. As she passed the trolls body, she turned to see the back of the trolls neck. There would be no way she could hit the troll with her sword in this position, so range attacks would have to work. Allowing the blue glow to cover her sword once more, she launched a blade of Ranton chakra at the beast's injury. It speed across the air and landed on the back of the Troll's neck with a glorious cutting sound. The troll screeched with pain as it stumbled a few feet. She was far from done though, as she concentrated chakra in her hands. The sound of crackling Raiton can could be heard as she built up chakra in her hands. Suddenly, it was release in a violent wave of lightning as it crossed the short distance between them and hit the troll. It screeched one more time, as she numbed it's neck and burnt it even further than before.

The last jutsu sped her movement speed up, causing her to land on the cliff that the boy was standing on. She smirked as she observed the troll's pain and watched it struggle to stay conscious. Her 'partner' could finish it off for all she cared. It wasn't like the damn thing could heal itself or fight back at this point. It wasn't worth her time anymore. She shook her sword to get any excess blood off of it, making sure it was clean and pristine. "Go ahead and kill it, then we can go get our ryo." She said to the boy without a care. He was probably her senior and supposed leader of the mission, but that never stopped her from being an ass before.

His partner reacted perfectly to Juyo's attacks. He watched from the cliff as the girl moved in to strike the already exposed wound at the troll's neck. However, when she was finished, the beast was still alive. Even after using raiton attacks, it was still breathing. The beast was barely holding itself up, heaving and roaring in it's pain. The girl started to walk away, cleaning her sword. Was she really about to leave while the mission had yet to finish. "Go ahead and kill it, then we can go get our ryo," she called out to Juyo. After such a flawless cooperative attack she just calls it over? Juyo shook his head as he pulled out two kunai from under his jacket. This girl really was an awful shinobi. She showed promise in combat, but her skills at being silent and unseen were horrible, and she should never turn her back against the enemy.

Juyo refocused on to the troll. He was by no means a sensei yet so there would be no point in trying to teach the girl. He doubted she'd listen even if he was the Raikage. Taking the two kunai in his hands, Juyo pushed off from the cliff, falling down hard onto the back of the troll's neck. Landing hard from the high jump, he slammed the two kunai down into the deep gash in the neck with both of his hands. The cut was deep enough that he could see where the spine and brain stem connected. With a quick cross-cutting of his two kunai, the stem was cut. Almost instantly the beast collapsed into the ground. Juyo jumped from the beast as it landed so he wouldn't fall with the beast. Landing softly to the troll's side he made his way down the mountain. Juyo didn't care to mention anything to the girl, instead just walked on back to the village to report the mission.

As she walked away, she heard what seemed to be a crashing sound. So the troll had finally fallen, huh? Good, it was about damn time. She rolled her eyes at her 'partner'. He was useless in her opinion, despite having contributed just a bit. She Imagined his face as she just walked away and pushed back a chuckle. Most ninja would never do such a foolish thing, but she had nothing to worry about. The boy could obviously handle an almost dead troll and he wouldn't dare attack her. She once again set her sword to rest on her shoulder as she continued down the mountain. This damn mission was a waste of time, as she expected. She would make sure to make that clear to her 'superiors' the next time she saw them. They were fools to think she enjoyed such an easy task.

As she continued down the path, she thought of her place here in Kumogakure and what it actually meant to her. She had no real ties here and didn't care about it's well-being. Why was she still here? If it weren't for the Anbu Black-Ops, she would have already left. If she could just find a way around them, she could get out of here and focus on her skill alone. Such a moment would be bliss for a fighter like her. Being tied down to a mission for some pompous government is far below her stature. She would find a way to escape one day.
