Sairento Bakuhatsu
D-rank
After his horrible defeat at the hands of the genin Suzume, Sairento was taken to the medical ward of the Ivory tower where he was cared for under the watchful eyes of many skilled medical shinobi. He had suffered bruises, a broken rib or two, cuts, and quite a few burns. He was in terrible shape, and had a burn on the right side of his head, near his temple and on his left cheek. They were also bruised as this had been where he was hit with the girl Suzume's tonfa. He had bruises on his shoulders, but those were not as bad as everything else. The burns were wrapped in gauze, with special medicine to heal them and the cut on his chest from the hit he took to attempt to trap the girl was closed, thanks to the quick thinking of a medical shinobi. He was now in a wagon drawn by a horse, on his way back to the village hidden in the mist.
The male sighed, laying in the wagon on a bed made specially for him. His head rested against a pillow and he stared at the sky, his eyes filling slowly with tears. He had let his squad, his kage, and his friend Isamu down. He had lost what should have been a simpler battle than what he made it out to be. The wounds he sustained would be healed by the time he arrived at the village, but the wounds on his ego could not be healed. He had lost his first fight because his concentration had wavered. He wasn't good enough. He wasn't good enough.. Was that it? Was he not good enough to even be a shinobi? Why did it have to end like this? Why did it have to be him that would return to his village sorrowed and broken from his fight. His eyes closed as the tears rolled down his cheeks, the words 'You will never be good enough!' repeating over and over in his head.
