A small stream of crimson liquid trickled from the corner of Odaya’s mouth; once again he had been the victim of the larger teens in the Hostel. This time was different; normally his beatings were received because of some imagined slight they had created, this time he had been savagely beaten as nothing more than sport. The aggressors were members of the Hoshigaki Clan, the overly macho shark-men had been targeting Odaya for over a month now because he was “easy prey” and “moving target” for them to test their new techniques on. Odaya lay on the dirty street in the slums of Kirigakure, the sound of laughter filled his ears as the Hoshigaki aggressors made their way through a back alleyway to their hide away.
“God, you are such a pussy, look at us Odaya…you should have let me take care of them.” Came the echoing voice of Zanko from deep within the recesses of their joint mind.
“Why so we could have had wanted posters all around Kiri with our face on them? No thanks.” Odaya whispered in response.
Even as Odaya slowly and shakingly stood to his feet he could feel the judgment radiating from the deepest recesses of his body, his brother despised his weakness, as did Odaya. Slowly, Odaya wiped the blood away from the corner of his mouth; the crimson hue stained the cuff of his jacket and took its place alongside dozens of other deeper and older stains of similar nature. After wiping the blood from his mouth Odaya formed two quick hand signs then spaced his palms apart evenly and allowed a small orb of light green water to materialize. Odaya then splashed the healing water onto his face, the parted skin on his busted lip reformed and the bruises on his face slowly disappeared.
“I still think you should have allowed me to take care of those assholes.” Came a harsh echo from Zanko.
“I know…” Was the only words Odaya could manage to utter in response.
