So he had been fine since the last time that they had talked. That was good. Him being fine was a good thing in her opinion. Maybe it was because she enjoyed his company... Why did she enjoy his company? Maybe it was because of his quiet nature, and how he acted shy, or perhaps because of how respectful he was towards her, despite the fact that they had done what they had done with each other. She simply nodded her head in response to his answer, and then proceeded with, "So, have you had any luck in your pursuit to acquire a genjutsu teacher yet? I would offer my help , if only I knew anyone that could use genjutsu; but alas, I do not."
She heard him agree to a glass of wine, the sound of his clothes rubbing against each other, and the sound of liquid hitting the glass as he poured himself some of the red wine. Why, in fact, was she enjoying his personality so much? Well, he was a lovely break from the generally truculent people she tended to run into in the market, a break from the overly hyper and talkative people one could run into at a park. He was different from the normal dregs of society, from what she could tell, he had class. Unlike some of the dogs that she had dealt with before. He carried himself with a somewhat unapproachable air, something that would make anyone submissive around him feel awkwardly out of place. Except her. She was only submissive towards certain people, and then only to a certain extent. Naturally, due to how she had been raised, she was submissive towards men, but she didn't just follow their every whim and wish; no, that was a type of submissive that was reserved for one's lover or husband. She obviously lacked that person, and therefore she had no need to be that submissive to anyone.
The sound of his voice pulled her back into reality once again. What was he talking about? Oh, yeah, right. He was answering her inquiry on what his favourite food was. He was saying that he didn't have a favourite in particular, and that he just really prefered homemade meals, but if he were to chose, he would chose samosas. So he liked homemade food? She nodded her head softly to this answer. What was homemade food like? She had never gotten served a hot plate of food by her mother, the abuser had always given Himi cold, lower quality leftovers from her plate, and then only after a long day of cleaning and begging for food. Pathetic, she had been a pathetic child. Meek and timid, ignorantly following orders in fear of being hit again... She wondered to herself what a true homemade meal tasted like, sure she made and ate her own food at home, never making anything super elaborate or anything, but she had never had a warm meal cooked for her by someone else.
Wait, he had asked her a question. What did he ask her? What was her favourite food? Hmmm.... What was her favourite food? She was fond of onigiri, but she also liked mei fun. Or rather, she could say that she liked food that just wasn't flavoured as strong as it would be normally. It wasn't that she disliked flavour, she just couldn't bear it being strong due to her somewhat heightened sense of taste. So... What was her favourite food? "Hmm... My favourite food? Well, I have a strong sense of taste, so I lean towards the blander foods like Onigiri or Mei fun. What type of Samosa do you like?"
After a few moments, the server, a pretty dark haired girl with freckles and glasses, came to their table. She was wearing a stark white shirt with black pants and black shoes, her medium length hair pulled back into a high ponytail. She smiled, dipping her head before introducing herself as Hiyako Hanso-san, before asking if they were ready to order. Himitsu glanced to Yuudai, she didn't want to say that they were ready if he hadn't had enough time to look over the menu and pick what he wanted.
"Yuudai-san, are you ready to order? I already know what I want." It was true, the hostess had explained the specials and several items on the menu to her before Yuudai had joined her. Needless to say, she was ordering a plate of chicken Mei fun. It had been a while since she had enjoyed some mei fun, so why not have some tonight? Shifting slightly, she sipped some more of her wine.
