1 Things just don't turn out [private] Thu Jul 25, 2013 8:52 pm

The trip up to sky point was one that would take a lot out of him, knowing he wouldn't be able to see his path at all times; due to the blindness, but also because he'd have to calm down and possibly rest every few minutes - due to his genetics. He knew the venture up to the peak would take it's toll on him, but that is what he sought to accomplish, knowing that there would be no turning back, and that the venture down ward would certainly have to take a while. No turning back. He had come to a decision, one which he would not take back. It was useless taking another path anyways, he knew he'd be restricted otherwise, knowing that others would interfere if they knew about his intentions; others only referring to a single individual who he knew that would not truly be affected, they only had one meeting that meant something, the other was formal due to squad assignments. Rui, however, could care less about the squad mentality itself, knowing that it wasn't for him. He needed his freedom, he needed his prior life, the life he had before arriving in Kumogakure no Sato.
It had been roughly 30 minutes and he barely had climbed halfway up the mountain. He had expected for the journey to be long with the liabilities that came with his person, but he had expected to be further up the trek by this point. He was lagging behind, not that it truly mattered to him, the task would be accomplished by the end of it. His brief break had only been less than five minutes, before Rui decided to continue his trek, wanting to continue upwards and complete the task he needed to accomplish. It was a bit past noon, no one would be here, he knew it, so there was nothing there that could possibly stop him, nor would he allow it if something did come in his path.
'It'll be done soon.' Though, knowing his luck, something would turn it around and cause his entire chance against himself. Continuing his steps further up the mountain, Rui felt a tug upon his left leg, the one closer to the mountain, as his right foot was nearing the edge of the cliff. This'd be obtrusive to his goal, though he'd have to at least attempt to tug out his foot, if he wanted to continue forth, or even go back and attempt it another day. No. It had to be today. Grabbing his left leg with both hands, Rui began to pull it, to free it, to be able to continue onward. Though with his physical prowess, he struggled, being unable to free it without pushing himself even harder. He knew he'd have to though, he couldn't just stay here the entire time.
Focus. That's what he needed. Calming his breath, putting all his effort in to his upper body muscles, Rui attempted to pull his leg free once again, though careless about his position entirely; forgetting the consequences of what would happen. A small, struggling tug. A slightly harder tug, more effort put forth. More was definitely needed, but at least he wasn't trying to free something heavier. With his back towards edge of the cliff, Rui pulled once more, even harder than before. His foot came loose, though the momentum sent him backward. Unable to regain his footing, unable to place his left foot down on the floor before it went beyond the cliffs length, Rui's entire balance was thrown off and the momentum would carry him. He would have been able to react accordingly, but due to his illness hampering him at the current moment, he was unable to react accordingly. He'd have to take the fall, and knowing his current height, he'd be unable to survive the fall. So, there was only one thing he could possibly do, and that was to just accept his fate, though this was, in a round about way, his ultimate goal.
ooc||This was coming for a long time, though I kept putting it off. Rui is now dead.
