1 Catching a Prankster [D Rank,Repeatable] Sun Jun 02, 2013 12:14 am
Takeshi
Retired
A couple of days after his first C ranked job, Takeshi was assigned another D ranked mission. He was hoping of course for something like another C ranked mission, but he just saw this as a growing process. He knew he couldn't be assigned back to back like that, he was only a genin after all, at least that was the excuse he made up for himself. In any case, he told his mother and father about his new job, and they wished him luck. This mission couldn't be that hard, all he had to do was catch some kid who was painting on walls. Once again, reminisced about that cat mission he took, and that quickly changed the tone of his thoughts. Takeshi chose to wait until mid day to start trying to find the kid in the act. He knew the academy didn't end until sometime later, but he figured that he would have to increase his time frame, due to the fact that the kid could be trying to skip out of class. He walked around the village trying to stay incognito, which kind of got him excited. He started to think what the ANBU would do in this situation. Would they maybe change the way they walk? Would they try to alter their overall appearance? Would they conceal their appearance or just keep it open and natural? So many different things jumped about in Takeshi's brain, he tried different things. He changed his walk into some kind of side step lean that looked dorky. He kept on putting his hood on and then off.
In short, he looked very out of place and noticeable despite all his efforts. So he just went to the rooftops of the village which, by this time, the academy let out its students. Takeshi knew this due to the loud screeching some of the kids made. He could hear some of the kids playing, and even heard some kids playing kick ball. Takeshi was jumping roof to roof to try to get a better sense of where most of the kids were at. As he jumped around he saw some graffiti on the side of a house that was slightly taller than the rest. He jumped closer to the graffiti and rubbed on it with one finger. The paint was still somewhat wet, which let Takeshi know this was fresh. He looked around and from the spot he at, he had a pretty good view of some to the other roofs in his immediate view. He looked right to left for a good five minutes until a caught a glimpse of something moving from place to place at a decent rate. It was too big to be a cat, but too little to be an adult ninja, so Takeshi went out to investigate. As he got closer and closer to person in question, he began to see it was a kid. He could see that the kid was carrying an paint can that moved wildly behind him. I wasn't open, but some was still dripping out.
Takeshi could see the paint drops that was spilling was the same color as the thing that was painted on the side of the house. He made an attempt to move closer to the boy, but when the boy heard Takeshi behind him he started to move faster. He still however wasn't going too fast because Takeshi was still able to keep up with him with little effort. Hey kid! Slow down, I need to talk to you!Takeshi yelled out in attempt to reason with the boy, but the boy just sped up even more. So while they hopped from roof to roof, Takeshi put out his hands in order to do Bunshin no Jutsu. So he got a little closer to the boy and summoned a clone right in front of the boy, which in a slight panic made him trip up due to the confusion. When the boy tripped he couldn't regain his balance due to the shifting weight of the paint can behind him. So as he was about to fall into the street, Takeshi from behind managed to catch him before he fell down to far. They landed on another roof and Takeshi questioned the boy. After a short interrogation Takeshi found out it was the boy who was creating all the graffiti and turned him into the academy to let them deal the punishment.
