Shortly after Zoro finished his escorting mission he was assigned yet another D rank mission.
"what the hell! Another stupid mission!" Zoro obviously was confused in why he was assigned to catching a kid right after he proved he had what it took to escort people by himself. Ontop of the c rank mission, he also went on a B rank mission with Keiji, but that doesnt count since Keiji did most of the killing.
While Zoro may only be a mere Genin, he has shown great skill and may even be promoted up to special jounin fairly soon, of course after he completes many more missions.
"No matter, ill just catch this brat and get it over with."
As alway though, before Zoro started his mission, he lit a cigar and inhaled deeply. After finishing his Cigar, Zoro started to walk the streets, since that was the best way to catch a brat.

As Zoro was walking, he started to think about how loyal he is to his village, for he is a Kimura after all. As a matter of fact, the only thing that is keeping Zoro from not doing this mission is his loyalty to the village. Zoro also thought about the effect of his clans jutsu and also how the damage of his fire breath is 1 rank higher then that of a normal gennin. And thats not all, since he had two chakra natures, fire and wind, he could breath out both at a stronger then normal rate.

"There he is, stupid brat is running on the rooftops..." Within moments of completing that thought, Zoro sprinted to where the roof ended and climbed up in such a way that he wouldnt be seen. At just the right moment, Zoro jumped up on top of the roof and grabbed the brat. "Gotcha, Your comming with me. What a shame that such a young brat like you is already a trouble maker..." Zoro said to the speachless brat.

About half way to the hokage's office, the brat took one of his smoke bombs and escaped through the smoke.
"hehehehehe, the fun begins" said Zoro in a sinister like voice.

Zoro knew exactly where the kid was going for while he was walking earlier, he was actualy tailing the kid to all of his secret hiding places. Zoro first went to an ally with no luck whatsoever, and then continued to a hole covered by a tarp. What Zoro found was not the boy, but pictures of the boys dad who happend to die during an s rank mission. "No wonder he is such a trouble maker, all's he wants is attention, sadly for him i was assigned to this mission, when it comes to the village i will never not complete a mission given to me." Said Zoro with sorrow hidden with his voice.

Zoro checked every spot except for one, which was an old storage crate. When Zoro opend the door, the boy was there ready to pounce. Zoro decided to let him have fun before taking him to the kages office, so instead of grabbing him, he decided to let the kid "beat him up" all the way to the office. As Zoro kept backing up and blocking the kicks, he wore a smile that he hadn't wore for some time.

"You're pretty good kid, too bad your only an academy student, it would be nice to have a good fight" Zoro said.

After 5 minutes had elapsed, Zoro had lured the brat to the office, and so he grabbed at the kids final punch, picked him up, and carried him to custody.
"It's a shame that it was me kid, anyone else would have let it slide, i really am sorry bout your pa, after your released, come find me and i may teach you a thing or to about tai". Zoro said.

Zoro then walked back to his tree and went to sleep with that little brat on his mind.
