The morning rays gingerly licked at the exposed face of Ritsuka who was making his way from the Administration office, to the academy, having picked up a mission from the board moments prior. The mission parameters stating he'll be assisting an academy instructor, teaching a group of students about the basics of being a Genin – a fairly straightforward mission. Gracefully making his way through the streets of Konoha, dodging a couple of individuals who seemed like they were in a rush, while smiling warmly at a few passersby, many of the female persuasion. His thoughts drifted over what all he had accomplished in the few days of being a Genin and a frown couldn't help but mauling his features, for his lack of improvement. Yes, he do done two missions so far, but as of yet they haven't been process by the Hokage's secretary – meaning he hadn't got paid for them yet. Which royally sucks! Not only that he haven't started training in neither his specialties, more importantly genjutsu. He's a Kurama member for crying out loud! He should have been training in his trade. Alias he hasn't. So in short Ritsuka was disappointed in himself. His musing were cut short, however, when realizing he had apparently arrived at his destination, a smile couldn't help but tug on his features. Isn't this a surprise. he thought reading the classroom number out loud.
“Classroom 105”
----
Ginzou-sensai, chunnin of five years, happily taught the class of academy students, about the art of genjutsu. A subject he himself wasn't that adept at, thus having to refer to the textbook more than once during the session. After the whole fiasco with Kurama Ritsuka, the class as a whole had calm down significantly and many were adamant about learning more about the deceptive art. Some even thought about specializing in the art – Ginzou almost chuckled at the notion considering those who want to specialize in it were the same ones who had thought it was useless and a woman's art. Oh how things have changed.
“Genjutsu ca – “ Whatever Ginzou were about to say was cut off by the rapping knocking at the door.
**Knock**
**Knock**

“Come in.” He stated wondering who might be at the door. But remember recently there has been a d-rank mission tasking genins with assisting teachers in a class – teaching the students about the basics of what it means in being a genin. Maybe it was a genin who got assigned to this class?
The classroom suddenly got quite. To the point that a pin drop could be heard as the students and teacher patiently waited for the door to open.
And when it did.
The class erupted in chatter. While Ginzou smile fondly at the genin who appeared behind the door.
Kurama Ritsuka, had entered the room!
Sparing a glance at the students before walking towards Ginzou.
“Take it you are hear to teach the class?” Ritsuka nodded at the Sensai's statement, not being surprised that the chunnin had figured it out.
“Yes, I am.” Ritsuka said skimming across the papers on the oak desk in front of him, smile tugging at the lips when seeing the subject they are covering
Funny.
Look back at the teacher who nodded at the unspoken question and then at the class who seeing that Ritsuka was looking at them became quite. Not out of fear. But rather respect.
That's right respect.
“Okay class. As many of you might know. My name is Kurama Ritsuka. A member of the Kurama clan. But more importantly a genin of the Konoha shinobi forces and your teacher for today.” he said pausing to make sure everybody was listen. Needless to say they were.
Moving towards the chalk board, Ritsuka elegantly wrote five words on it, before dusting his hands and turning back to face the class. Though not obstruction their vision of the words written on the board.
The basics of a Genin
“This is what I'll be covering with you over a few days.“Ritsuka said, making some of the students look at him in confusing. Didn't he mentioned earlier that he'll just be teaching for one day? One red hair student decided to asked the unspoken questioned, by raising his hand.
“Yes, Akane?”
“Ritsuka-sensai. I thought you were only here for a day. Does that mean you will be coming back?”
“Of course I'll be coming back. To cover the basics of a Genin adequately it will take a day or two or three. Now does that answer your question?” The students nodded, accepting the genin's answer.
“Chakra in the most basic context is the molding physical and spiritual energy, to a 1:1 ratio. Once molded, it can be channeled through the chakra circulatory system to any of the 361 tenketsu – chakra points in the body. Chakra can be manipulate through various methods, hand seals being the most common, creating effects that would be considered impossible otherwise – water walking being a prime example of this.
However, the most important aspects of any shinobi with chakra is control – more precisely chakra control. A fight can be won or lose simply because one has better control then their opponent. How you might ask? Let's say two ninjas were sparring. Both ninjas suddenly decides to use the same C rank fire jutsu. Ninja A chakra control isn't as precise as Ninja B, thus he pumps more chakra into the jutsu then necessary while Ninja B used the right amount. More jutsus of the same caliber are flung around throughout the spar, ultimately having Ninja A calling quits for the lack of chakra. While Ninja B precise control allowed him to have more chakra towards the end. Reason being? Ninja A's lack of control, cause him to waste a lot of chakra while performing those techniques. Ninja B didn't have this problem because of his control. In short bad chakra control cause early exhaustion, that hinders the ninja's capacity, while good chakra control doesn't.
So how do we rectify this? Through exercises such as, leaf balancing, tree climbing and water walking that emphasize control, thus by practicing them one can build of their chakra control. Many might say that medics are the only one's who need to have almost perfect control. That's not entirely accurate, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu specialist, all benefit from good control. This is extremely true for genjutsu specialist like myself, for without a good grasps of control many genjutsu wouldn't be able to formed.”explained Ritsuka mentally smiling at the students who had decided to write down the key points of control, that he had written on the chalk board.
They seemed eager to learn.
Looking at the clock, he mentally frown seeing that time have went by incredibly fast, him no longer having enough time cover the two subjects he wanted. Instead only have time to cover one, and maybe show a demonstration of it.
“The Tree climbing exercise is the first thing you should learn to not only increase your control but also your reserves One must channel chakra into their feet in order to stick to a vertical surface. Channel too much one will be blown off, too little and you will slip and not stick. Someone else might tell you to get a running start. I personally doesn't like the method, instead I recommended simply walking to a tree and use one foot to place against the surface and experiment with different amounts of chakra till your foot sticks. Once it suck do the same with the other then continue upward. Now of course you shouldn't use the academy walls like I'm doing, for you can damage them and end up hurting yourself.” He said chuckling laughing at the students who were craning their necks, looking up at Ritsuka who was upside down on the ceiling.
Luckily he didn't have anything in his pockets.
Letting his control slip ever to slightly, Ritsuka fell gracefully to the floor, landing upright and place his shoes back on. Before returning his attention back towards the class.
“Now, I'll leave you all today with some homework. Under the supervision of either Ginzou-sensai, an experience ninja, or maybe a parent who's a ninja. I want you to practice your chakra control – starting with small tree before moving to bigger ones. Only after you are able to running up and down a tree ten times, then you can try tree hoping. When I return, I will like to see your progress and then we'll cover the other aspects of being a genin.”
A shout of 'Hai' resonated from the classroom, as the students thanked Ritsuka for teaching them before starting chattering with each other, while said genin snaked out of the room and heading towards the tower to report the completed mission. Not before getting a nod from Ginzou.
