Akiko had been requested to perform for the Kazekage, she would exemplify the skillset the Sunagakure Ninja Academy endowed the young Genin with. While Akiko’s heart burned with the purest of hatred for Uzumaki Trilby and what had occurred between her father and Sunagakure’s fallen Saanin none of that hatred was extended towards the Kazekage. In fact, after the loss of her father Akiko only had her loyalty to Sunagakure and her lust for vengeance motivate her to become a greater ninja, she would need it to best the twisted Uzumaki. The performance was simple; complete an obstacle course that had been laid out with three challenges, only using the Academy jutsu that she had learned. The young Uchiha stretched her legs, arms, and cracked her neck before entering the small room and facing the challenge.
Before her stood the first of three challenges, a single massive stone wall with no visible ledges, cracks, or even places to get a foot hold. Akiko walked forward and placed a single hand on the stone surface, it was smooth, as if the entire massive wall had been smoothed over perfectly. This challenge was an obvious one; it was a test on her skill with Fushizen Aruk'kata or Supernatural Walking Practice as it was commonly called. Akiko glanced up at the camera and sighed slightly before walking backwards to the entrance so she could gain a running start. Then Akiko placed her left leg against the back of the wall and launched forward, using the extra momentum from pushing off to gain an extra burst of speed.
As Akiko approached the wall she allowed the chakra to flow through her feet, this would allow her to grip onto the wall with ease and scale it with little to no effort. Akiko charged up the surface of the wall, not feeling the slick surface of the wall in the slightest, as was the effects of Fushizen Aruk'kata. Suddenly, a chunk of the wall in front of Akiko exploded; Akiko altered the course of her chakra to her hands as she rolled to a clear section of the wall to avoid the falling debris. As she came to a full roll a single hand slapped onto the surface of the wall and Akiko slung herself forward with what momentum still remained from her roll. Once again, she altered the chakra flow back into her feet and continued up the wall to the summit of the wall and the end of her first challenge.
However, Akiko was instantly greeted with her next challenge, from the ceiling two turrets emerged and fired two shuriken at her. Akiko reacted instantly using Kawarimi no Jutsu, or Substitution Jutsu to replace her physical form with a chunk of debris that had been blown off the wall earlier. The shuriken bounced harmlessly off of the chunk of stone and Akiko altered the flow of chakra once more to her hand as she slid down the wall, using Fushizen Aruk’kata to control the speeds at which she descended. Upon touching the ground Akiko looked over her shoulder at the massive wall and the turrets which had opened fire on her, she wasn’t impressed.
However, this final test would prove the most challenging, Akiko turned around to see the center of a small clearing split open and a single Shinobi rise from the now gaping hole in the clearing on a metal platform. Before Akiko could react he formed several hand signs, Akiko felt a sudden gust of wind pick up around her which was impossible due to the fact of the obstacle course being inside. Suddenly the sand around her shot up towards the ceiling, Akiko took a step backwards she couldn’t help but wonder, what was this? Her answer would soon come in the form of her worst nightmare, after a few second the sand disappeared and she was left standing in her own home with a familiar scene before her.
Before the horrified Uchiha sat her father’s corpse and none other than the Saanin Trilby, her eyes flickered between the corpse of her father and one of the most respected shinobi in the village. Akiko wished this was a mirage, that it had only been an image the Genjutsu had pulled from her subconscious but it wasn’t, it had happened. Akiko dropped to her knees and screamed in anger as she saw the blood on Trilby’s hands and the blood that flowed from the wounds on her father, a single sensation was felt, hate. Akiko’s flexed her chakra through the usage of Genjutsu Kai and charged towards the last known location of the Chuunin who had forced her to watch that horrifying scene over again. However, she was met with nothingness; the platform had descended along with him after he had cast the Genjutsu on her.
“GOD DAMN IT!” Akiko shouted in rage.
