WHAT IF THE EARTH REALLY IS DEAD?
WHO CAN HELP US?
In the large mass of the clans, CardinalClan, RussetClan, HopeClan, and IronClan. . There is something terribly wrong. This summer has been too hot to bear. "The lake has always been low. But never has it gone down fully." Without rain, there could be nothing left of anyone.
The rivers, the lakes, have all dried. Something that no cat, not even the elders, would have thought to happen. It has never happened before. So why would it happen now?
It was the longest stretch without rainfall for a while. No one thought that it could happen. But then, it did. So what were they going to do about it? All they had to drink was the little bit of dew that would develop in the morning. But the clans are becoming weak. They're turning on each other. So what are they going to do? Are they just going to sit there and let the other cats point the blame? And if the tiniest speck of rain would begin to come, the cats would be so happy. But not even StarClan could bless them with that. In time, maybe the rain would come. But not yet. .
The only thing that they could find is a small ravine in the CardinalClan border with RussetClan. While the two clans are allowing the other clans to drink from it without fighting them for it, they begin to get restless. What if it runs out? The two clans begin to fight other clans off, telling them that it could not happen. That they would have to find a new source of water in their own territories. Or else? Well, they would die trying.
But HopeClan and IronClan refuse. They fight, but it doesn't go on for long. They are too weak. They all are. The water is needed everywhere. And without water, most of the prey is dying. Carcasses scatter with no way to be saved. So how are they going to do this?
StarClan continues to frown upon this, but they can do nothing about it. All they can do is sit and watch as their children fight to the death. The kits that had just been born all dying. It was horrible. Hideous. What were the clans supposed to do? Just sit there and take it? No! They would find water if it took them forever!
So if you really wish.. Why don't you just come on over and join us?
