PIGGEHZ YOU ARE MEIN

This day seemed slightly more beautiful than the last couple. With the sun shinning on the snow it really gave the Kumo a bright shine. Everyone around seemed to be in a cheerful mood, Zetsume noted while he was in the market thinking about buying some new items for his house. Like everyday he always checks the mission board hoping for a new challenge. On this day he noticed one that kind of stood out from the rest. It seemed that the farmer had lost his prized pig and is offering a reward for anyone who can help him capture this pig. It seems he was going to use this pig in the upcoming contest. Though Zetsume never thought he would have to catch a pig, it seemed this was the only job at the time and he needed the money. After letting out a small sigh of disappointment he set off in the village in hopes of finding this pig.

His feet began to hurt while trying to find this pig. He seemed to be walking aimlessly for hours and hours. He did have a general description that was given by the farmer. He looked back at the note, it said the pig was around three hundred pounds, and has a blue tie around its neck. Somehow Zetsume figured that finding this porky fellow would have been easier. Just when he was about to give up hope and return to his house, he noticed what seemed to be a squeal and saw the a pig run past him. Just from the moments glance he could tell that, that was the pig he was looking for due to the blue tie around his neck. Zetsume got his rope that he had grabbed awhile back when he read the mission and began to chase the little pig.

The pig was much faster than Zetsume had thought, Zetsume could barely keep up with him as he chased him through the streets. He could tell that no one else had seen the mission due to no one else chasing the pig. The more he ran the more tired he got and this pig was making a break for the gate and if the pig got out he would lose all hope in catching him. He had to think of something quick and soon. Noticing an alley that in the end was a dead end he had to take this as his only chance to corner the pig. Zetsume made the rope that he carried with him into a lasso, in any hope he would get it around his neck, if not maybe he could make the pig turn. When the alley was right next to the pig that he needed him in he threw the lasso, missing the pig. Luckily he did turn into the alley. Zetsume chased him as the pig ran toward the end until the pig saw a wall. Panting and trying to catch his breath he looked at the pig only a few feet. He would have to catch the pig now or it would be lost to him. Zetsume slowly started to close the gap between him and the pig who kept backing up until its back hit the wall. When Zetsume was just 2 feet from him the pig attempted to run past him from the right side. Zetsume jumped toward the pig wrapping his arms around him. The pig smelled bad and was covered in mud from head to die. It squirmed and squealed as Zetsume wrestled with it for some time before finally getting the rope around its neck. Sighing and holding onto the rope Zetsume looked at the pig to make sure his troubles were right. The pig fit the description. He began to bring the pig back to the farmer.

Upon arrival the farmer knew that, that was the pig he has been missing and ran up to hug it. After a short talk, he thanked Zetsume over and over again for finding his soon to be Prized pig. Zetsume got his pay and went to walk away but before he left the farm he could see that the pig did not want to be there. It was as if somehow it knew that soon he would be slaughtered just to become food, and his escape was for its own safety. Yet, this was the reality of the pig. While chasing it, it seemed to be alive and happy and while it was in the cage, it looked miserable and almost already dead. A small part of Zetsume felt bad for it, but he knew he could do nothing for him and went about his way. Looking down he was covered in mud and decided that going home to shower and sleep was the best idea he could think of at the time.
