1 Clean the... Libary.....? (D rank mission) Mon Mar 11, 2013 8:45 pm
Etsuo Yukimura
D-rank
Today was not very pleasant to the outside world in the village. It could be noted that a large storm could come though, so everyone should be inside and on alert of severe weather. Too bad this lone genin didn't get the message and he had a mission to do. This specific mission was actually something that would help the village unlike a lost shoe would. Etsuo was determined to get to the library and clean it until there was no more dust that could be seen by even the greatest eyes around. The entire place should be sparkling by the time he was going to be done with it. Today was actually the best day in fact to do so because no one was going to the library in this kind of weather.
As he entered though the unlocked front entrance he would say a simple hello for a greeting. But no response came, he wondered if the librarian, Ms. Aoi was even here, but he didn't reach this conclusion. He assumed she was just in a far part of the library, unable to hear the opening of the door or his greeting. So he continued with his mission and made a few comments along the way.
"This place is really dusty." He would say as he set his scarf and coat on a table, leaving him with a long sleeve shirt on.
He started off by finding the cleaning stuff which was left on the front desk which was very convenient to him. He made a reminder to thank Ms. Aoi for doing so while she was away from the desk searching for something or another. Finally, the true job of cleaning could begin for Etsuo.
He began with all of the tables and open counters, wiping the down one after the other, start with the one with his stuff on it. He eventually cleared the place of all the dirty open counters. But he still had to clear the ones that had books on the still. So Etsuo took piles one by one to the front desk and place it behind where all books could be sorted out, then returned to the proper shelves. Once he was done with that small task he returned to cleaning the remaining counters that once had books. It was about this time that Etsuo noticed Ms. Aoi wasn't back after all this time. Then he realized that he was all around the library and still didn't see her.
"Is Ms. Aoi even here? He asked himself quietly.
He came to the conclusion that she wasn't there, but continued to work, with or without her, Etsuo still had a mission to carry out for his village. He wouldn't fail them even with such a minor task ahead of him. So eventually he got around to dusting a good amount of the shelves in the library when he got to his limit of focus and was tired. He looked out the window to find a storm brewing. Before he could complain he turned around to the less messy than before library. Walked to his stuff, grab it, found a chair, and proceeded to fall asleep.
At least, they would know that he did the mission even if he didn't make it shine and sparkling like he wanted at first. As he fell asleep, he dreamed of warm days and a sunrise, want to awaken early for tomorrow. He wanted to experience every moment of that dream in real life but more important things were going to happen. He got a message from his brother, telling that he would be home very soon.
