Trash Collecting? Strafe a little hot walking down to the lake. Why would a ninja need to pick up trash at a lake? It seemed like busy work, which was not ideal considering the state of the village. Strafe didn't really even want to go, but he had to. He said he would do the mission, and now he was stuck doing it. The upside to this was that it wasn't hot out, so he wouldn't be uncomfortable while doing this chore.
Strafe continued down the trail to the lake. His attire was white as snow, but his face had a bit more color from being slightly angry. He tried to breathe deeply to calm himself down. He was just going to do this and forget about it. It was hard to make Strafe angry, but for some reason this was getting under his skin. Maybe it was the fact that he could be using this time to train. Whatever the case, he was approaching the lake quickly and needed to focus on the mission. If he kept doing well at these small time missions, maybe he would get that promotion he has been wanting. He was a little young for the average Chunnin, but the Mizukage was quite young too, so age had nothing to do with it.
The lake was crystal clear and beautiful. As Strafe approached the bank, he stared at a reflection that was exactly like a mirror. The lake it's self wasn't the problem though, it was the banks that needed cleaning. You would think after working so hard to rebuild the place, people would try to keep the place nice. Obviously that wasn't the case, as Strafe decided to get right to it. He reached down to pick up the first piece of trash, putting it into the bag he was given. While the trash wasn't terribly messy, it wasn't pleasant to pick up either. He should have brought some gloves with him.
As he picked up trash, his mind drifted to other things happening around the village. The Mizukage, Sero, had recently left for the Kage Summit. He left Otto, a jounin of the village, in charge of things until he gets back. Maybe he would need to go have a chat with Sero when he returns. After all, it would be nice to personally know the Mizukage instead of him just being your leader. He wondered what his Mizukage was like, as he had never actually met the man. He just knew of him and his clan, the Osada. They were strong, that much he knew, and he was doing a great job as Mizukage.
Before he knew it, time had flown by. He had already picked up the banks he was assigned to and more. Maybe this wasn't as bad as he thought. He smiled as he looked at the now clean banks. He wanted this place to stay clean, now that he had cleaned it. Maybe he would be assigned this mission again so he could make sure of that. Perhaps that was the whole point in giving him the mission. Then again, he could just be over thinking it like usual.
He tied his bag off in a knot, throwing it over his back. It was time to head off to dump the bag and report in. While there wasn't much to report, it was required for every mission. Strafe started walking in that direction, humming a soft tune as he bounced down the trail. He wondered what the next mission would be like. Hopefully, it would be with his new squad.
