1 Catch the Cat! [D-rank] Wed Feb 20, 2013 8:06 pm
Takeshi
Retired
Takeshi landed on the ground and hid behind a bush to take a breath. Looking around him, he couldn't see it, but he knew it was around here somewhere. After catching his breath for a quick second he ran up a nearby tree and stopped on a branch. He crouch to one knee and used his hand like a shade from the sun so he could see better. He heard different noises from baby birds churpping, to the sound of a wild boar in the far distance. He wiped off the sweat from his with his right hand and unzipped his coat all the way down. I shouldn't have worn this thing today. he said in a irrated tone. He heard a small branch break somewhere to his left, so he turned in that direction. He saw a bush move so he jumped over in that direction and grabbed the animal. Then he noticed that he ended up grabbing a rabbit, which of course shattered Takeshi. Dang it! he said in a loud tone as he let the rabbit go.
It all happened so fast after that, all he had heard was the sound of something moving in the wind. The next thing he knew, he had a small cut on the right side of his face. He didn't have enough time to move out of the way, and as fast as it happened it got away. Once again he ran up a tree and scanned the area for the creature. He untied the forehead protector that was hanging loosey on his neck. He stared at his village's symbol, and then he felt motivated once again. He tied the protector on his forehead and scanned the area, listening to every sound carefully. He could hear a low growl coming from his right, so he jumped from the branch he was on and landed right next to the creature. He made a grab for it, but it moved out of the way at the last second. He attempted to chase it on foot, but it was way to fast.
Takeshi had gotten assigned to this mission today. Apparently, this rich old lady had lost her precious cat once again. This seemed to happen alot, and Takeshi was expecting this to be just another easy mission like the last one. Nobody told him it would be like this, the cat was a beast. It was fast, and its claws were as sharp as a kunai, if not sharper. Takeshi had been at this since early this morning, but the cat was just too fast. Every time he got close to it, he would be just out of reach, not to mention its fur color helped it blend into the shadows. Thats not even the worst of it, it wasn't afraid to attack back. Over the course of the day, Takeshi has gained several small cuts on his face, hands, and neck. It was a good thing that Takeshi was wearing a coat, other wise it would have been alot worse. There was one time however that the cat had got its nail caught up in his coat, luckly its nail didn't break.
Takeshi would have to hear it from the old lady if the cat got damaged in any way. He would have to think of a plan soon, the sun was going down and it would be harder to catch the cat at night. Plus he would get in trouble if he came home late to dinner, he would have to wash dishes for a week. Just thinking about it sent chills down his spine, he hated to wash dishes. Hiding in a bush, he tried to think about something he could do, looking down he could see a rock. Then an idea came to him, he grabbed the rock and then he created three shadow clones. He told them the plan and sent them to three key places, now he had to make the cat come out. At that moment he rememberd the cat's name. Still holding the rock, Takeshi called out the cats name, with one clone in a tree and two in the bushes he was waiting for the signal from one of them. The he heard a loud whistle coming from nine o'clock, just at that moment he threw the rock just to the right of that direction. He heard it hit the ground and a loud meow with the sound of paws running.
With the cat running to its right side, a shadow clone hoped out the bush which caused it run north. In turn another shadow clone hoped out the bush which made it run west. Like clockwork the clone that was in the tree jumped down in front of it, paniced the cat ran south. Running, the cat ran through a bush and right into the real Takeshi's chest in which he caught it. Just as planned, he made the cat run to him by setting up barricades using his shadow clones. The clones set themselves up according to the whistle the clone in the tree made. It was quite simple really, Takeshi only wished he done so earlier, he made the three clones disappear and made his way back to the village to report. It was kind of difficult to do so however with the cat moving around, but Takeshi made it back with no problems and returned the cat to its owner.
