1 A "friendly" spar [Migoto, open to genin/chuunin, no kill] Thu Jan 17, 2013 2:40 pm
Makato
D-rank
In an open terrain of rock, a young shinobi could easily be spotted by his distinctive orange hair. The people and a few shinobi of Iwa would know this boy to be Makato Kobayashi. However, he was a little bit out of his element today, as anyone could tell. Makato was usually relaxed, smiling and lighthearted. Makato took this mission because he wanted to see how determined he was in real combat. Only a few days ago, from this day, Makato had a taken a mission with his teammate Alessi. The mission was to stop a boar that was attacking the villagers and their crops. Makato and Alessi chose to go a slightly non-violent route, not killing the boar, and even healing it's injuries. When Makato came home to tell his family of the occurrence, his mother was proud of him, and his father disappointed. Makato's father brought up the point that, just like an enemy ninja, if you healed the boar and let it go, what's stopping it from coming back and attacking again? Makato was indeed, only 12, but nonetheless a shinobi. He had to be able to kill.
The young boy trudged down the rocky steps which would lead him to the battleground. H eaccepted the mission for a few reasons: he thought that hanging out with Migoto would cheer him up, and he knew that fighting and sparring would make him feel better. He also wanted ryo, but that was never a big concern to the young boy. With his hands in his grey jacket pockets, he finally entered the stadium, not looking up to see it's marvels, but continuing to sulk and trudge down the steps. He removed his jacket, throwing it off somewhere in the stadium before hopping up on one of the large pillars. Looking around the stadium now, he felt a wave of excitement.
Five minutes later
Makato sat alone upon one of the large stone pillars in the underground stadium. The stadium was huge, having rows of seats for spectators and quite a large battleground. He sat by himself, one hand supporting the left side of his face, the other hand twirling a kunai around. Sometimes he would hit the tip of his kunai against the pillar, and as noone else was in the room, the vibrations would echo across the stadium. He wore a bright white t-shirt with two japanese kanji characters plastered across the front of it. The two characters were the symbol for "wisdom". He wore black cargo shorts that were cut off before his knees, and some yellow shoes. He was sitting her waiting for people to show up. He knew his teammate, Migoto Tenshi, would show up. He trusted that he would surely come, but he wasn't so sure about any other. Makato had posted a couple fliers up in the business districts of Iwa, telling the shinobi where to meet and around what time if they wanted to have a friendly spar that would inevitably get them some ryo. Seemed like a win-win situation to Makato.
