"News of a Warlord claiming himself to be the new Mizukage after Ayakashi's disappearance had quickly gathered supporter of all shapes and sizes, while this man claimed to be the strongest in the land the council decided to go in a different direction. Appointing some else to the title of Mizukage, while normally this would have ended then and there, the Warlord took offense to the fact that the council chose someone other than him. He declared war against the village hidden in the mist, and plans to make a move against the village. This incident has formed a rift throughout the country, the cut off of the village's trade routes, the insurgents of bandits becoming more profound, even the shinobi desertions all can be lead back to this one man." There was a long pause as the man who sat behind a desk leaned back against his chair, as if he was contemplating his next words. His face had been shrouded in shadows since Ruvaak entered the room and his voice was distorted by some kind of device, as if the man did not want the male to know who it was that was speaking to him. While he could have easily activated his Onikeigan to reveal the man's face, the male decided to play his little game. "We are on the verge of a civil war the likes of which this country has never seen. While the village is strong enough to withstand this war and we are certain we have enough forces to stop them, the true Mizukage does not wish his inauguration to be tainted with a blood bath of innocences who are only doing what they think will be the most beneficial to their families." There was another pause as the man stood from his chair and walked to the window, even in the light his face remained shrouded. "I had the Anbu run a dossier on you, you have been quite busy since your return to the village just a few days ago." Ruvaak felt his fist tighten, this man had been spying on him. Whoever the man was to have enough authority to have the Anbu do his dirty work he must have some importance within the village, but the question was why were they tracking him of all people. The male's thoughts interrupted by the man's next words, "you are quite the marksman, even for a Sogeki. Those are the words used by the Anbu to describe you in my report, I would like to see how great of a marksman you truly are. The Warlord has made his camp on the southern side of the mountain range, there are hundreds with him and if we were to make an assault on his camp those hundreds of innocent people would die just trying to get to him. I would like to commission you to take him out and end this war here and now before the land has to suffer further. If you do this, you and your family will be well rewarded." The man finished turning to face the male with his shrouded cover, awaiting a response from him, Ruvaak would clear his throat before he spoke. He did not expect this, nor did he believe he deserved such praise that he would be offered such a task. "I am unsure if I am worthy of such a task, surely there are others who could handle this." The man would raise his hand to stop the male, "this task is high risk and there can be a lot of collateral fallout, you are right there are others more skilled than yourself, however this will be your defining moment. Will you back down from becoming a hero of the land or will you do what needs to be done for the good of Mizu no Kuni?" Ruvaak was not sure how but the man had managed to get under his skin with those words, the male gripped his talisman tightly in his left hand as he stood and headed for the door. "I'll do it," were the only words that escaped the male's mouth as he left the room. Once he was outside the male wasted little time as he made his way through the village heading for the mountain range, his mind already running different scenarios on the outcome of all of this. The question was, was he truly ready for a task of this proportion?
