Zen woke up. He was feeling...better. That spar with his students filled him with the vim and vigor he missed. Something that one his age should really have naturally....
Either way, he had a job to do. The absolute same one that he did before, no less.... He had heard rumors of the boar he and Takumi had subdued raging about the Wild West again. Was it some folly of theirs that this menace was out and about again? Surely not.... Zen wondered what could have been wrong with the poor thing that it was doing such heinous things. As he had thought before, animals do not do things without reason, even if people think that they are mindless.
Regardless.....Zen set off for the Wild West after he had donned his Black Coat as usual. What he wanted....he wanted to be something of importance in Iwa. That's when it hit him. He knew that Arashi was going to be something great, and Dengen was already so....Takumi was on that path as well. Zen needed to put the thing he had resolved to be the best at to use. He had to use his knowledge. And so, he decided from then on that he would be the captain of ANBU. The Kyouga had done the Village Hidden in Stones a great many services. But he wanted to be something more than a member of Team Alpha. And he didn't want to just be ANBU. He wanted to be able to do something even better for the village...he would become the most senior of captains. He didn't need to be Tsuchikage to be able to change things. He, after all, was but one of many tools of the ninja world. He knew his place. Zen, however, was the type of person to be passive-aggressive if push came to shove. So, he needed to do missions. A great many of them. Whether taking care of someone's cat or taking care of their life, the Profound Mirror would be of as much service as he could.
While musing about his purpose in life, Zen had unexpectedly arrived at the farmer's house faster than he thought he would. He was supposed to meet up with Takumi again....since it was a mission shared between the two. Knocking on the door, and getting no response, Zen opened it. He saw the farmer on the floor, shaking. Running up to him, he tried to get a little of the old man's focus. "What happened!?" "I....I fed it. It...wanted more, but I -cough wheeze cough- didn't have anything else to give it. It ran off again....Please...-hack wheeze splortch-" The old man, upon inspection, seemed to have been headbutted by the huge pig-beast. So much that it made him cough up blood. Zen really needed to learn medical ninjutsu... but first, this had to stop.
He stepped out of the door, hood still up. An anonymous avenger.
