In a time where bloodied battlefields littered the soon-to-be shinobi world, a set of siblings, a brother and a sister, discovered a fantastic ability that ran through their veins. So early on in the discovery of ninjutsu, It was considered a powerful ability to be even able to utilize one or two elements. Possessing the mystical prowess nearly ensured survival, but it was one day on the field of battle that these two warriors fully realized their untapped potential. Yuki, Shuurei and Yuki, Ouran were the first two of their families to meld the powers of Suiton and Fuuton into Hyouton release. the element of ice was born. Their integration of the two elements allowed their clan to bear the brutal war until its end. Due to the necessity of water as a basis for their attacks, they headed to the land of Kirigakure to call home. Their years there have been long and prosperous with Shuurei, the noble daughter, being deemed the clan leader for her immense power.
For years and years they lived in a loving peace, passing down their clan techniques in order to protect their village. Secrets of the ice being strengthened and formed as they all honed their abilities for any upcoming threats. Unfortunately, their preparation had not been in vain, as the village that they settled in soon became a bloody battleground where their very existence was threatened. The Bloody Mist, as the times were referenced as brought much misfortune on the clan as their numbers went from vast to a dwindling few dozen. However, they were able to survive extinction during the dark times. It was said that one of the direct descendants of Ouran, the brother of the first clan leader was able to coordinate a concentrated defense using some type of ice mirrors. It was never recorded in their history texts whether or not this was true, but that's how the story goes.
There was even a brief time where the Yuki were hunted down within Kiri under the rule of the Fourth Mizukage due to their powerful bloodline. This forced the members of the clan to the point of extinction in the land hidden in the mist until relatives from the distant Kōri clan began to repopulate the area and take their place once again, allowing the reborn Yuki to once again roam the land of Kiri without having to worry about using their abilities in public. It took a little bit of time, but they were able to assimilate back into Kirigakure and help the economic shift of the land. Their abilities even proved useful in a wide variety of fields and they were able to use their skills as shinobi into trade skills whenever needed. They now live in the piece that the shinobi world has brought them, with their aid in the rebuild of the city, and the Yuki clans homeland having been destroyed by the black fires of Amaterasu, they are renowned in the land of Kirigakure as one of Kirigakure’s five founding families

Hyōton
Members of the Yuki Clan are able to create Hyōton chakra through the combination of Suiton and Fūton. Hyōton, or Ice Release, uses Suiton to organize the water in the air and Fūton to rapidly remove the heat from the water and surrounding air to form ice crystals in specific shapes. This combination of elements is only possible when an individual has an affinity for two basic elements instead of only one, which allows them to perfectly mix the two into an advanced element. Members of the Yuki Clan have an affinity for both Suiton and Fūton because of this, which must be their primary and secondary elements. Both Suiton and Fūton begin at C-Rank for members of the Yuki Clan. The rank of a Yuki's Hyōton is equal to the lowest of its two parent elements. For example, if a member of the Yuki Clan had S-Rank rank Fūton and B-Rank Suiton their Hyōton will be B-Rank. Likewise, if a member of the Yuki Clan has A-Rank Suiton and C-Rank Fūton, their Hyōton will be C-Rank. Hyōton automatically ranks up when the lowest constituent element does. Hyōton may become Legendary-Rank through this method.
Hyōton relates to the creation of ice, snow, frost, and even just simple cold and freezing air, and can operate in any of these forms. Hyōton is naturally advantageous against Mokuton and disadvantageous against Yōton. Hyōton chakra is capable of easily channeling either of its constituent elements, taking on the elemental advantages and weaknesses in place of its own should the user chose. When casting any Hyōton technique, the user may state if they wish to use the elemental weaknesses of Suiton, Fūton, or the base advantages and weaknesses of Hyōton. In addition to this, any Hyōton technique may have unique effects depending on which of these three elements are channeled, acting as the “Can channel 2 elements or has 2 elemental variants” Mid-Effect.
The Yuki Clan is infamous for their incredible dexterity, speed, slender figures, and skills in archery in addition to the use of Hyōton techniques. They often make excellent archers, lock picks, and spies as a result of this. Members of the Yuki Clan receive the "Multitasker" special characteristic for free.Flash Freezing

Description: This individual is able to divide their focus equally among multiple tasks, allowing a shinobi complete multiple tasks at one time. Ninja with this special characteristic are able to perform any jutsu requiring hand-seals with one handed seals instead of two.
Hyōton techniques which uses cold and freezing temperatures to bring their targets to the lethal damage threshold over time only will take two posts before triggering the threshold, instead of the standard three.Hypothermia
The mere presence of a user of Hyōton chakra can lower the temperature of their surroundings, and even naturally cause snow to begin falling in the immediate vicinity. Those with Hyōton have such a naturally low body heat that stealth techniques they use which lower their body heat or otherwise use cold or Hyōton chakra require sensory techniques of one rank higher to locate the user.

Members of the Yuki Clan cannot learn any new elements, and cannot take the Hesitant (Element) special characteristic. Members also need to take the Hesitant (Specialization) special characteristic without balancing it.

Description: This person has a comfort zone that he/she doesn't like to venture out of. Learning a new field of techniques can be scary, and this ninja puts it off, ignores it, or lacks the affinity. This individual has their rank cap lowered by 2 (can only spend 18 ranks instead of the usual 20, their maximum cap is also lowered to 23 from 25).
Users of Hyōton chakra, due to their low body temperature are more easily burnt by heat-based technique. Any burn dealt to the clan member increase in severity by one tier. If dealt moderate burns, these burns will become severe. If dealt severe burns, these become minor of the next rank.Cold Blooded
Should a member of the Yuki Clan take any damage from an attack with a heat based descriptor, or one which causes heat burns of their own rank or higher they will suffer additional negative effects from the shock induced by the burn, and their otherwise poor constitution. They will take a penalty of minus one tier to their endurance until this damage is healed. This burning effect may stack up to four times.
In extremely hot environments like Sunagakure and the Land of Wind, members of the Yuki Clan must keep their body temperature low by reserving a fraction of their total chakra. Their maximum chakra pool is temporarily reduced by twenty five while in these environments. Jutsu which state they create extremely hot areas may trigger this, although only temporarily and this chakra will return should the affected target leave this area of heat.
