A threat loomed over the murky lands of the water nation. A cold presence that once harbored the safety of the village and the nation it resided in had disappeared and with it made way for a dark existence. An existence that had a small dim fire was reignited and started to flare up. The iron fist with which the Mizukage had ruled over the land of water had disappeared and word of it had reached to every corner of the land. Crime rates that were relatively low had instantly skyrocketed to record highs and the village wasn't prepared for it. The slow-paced response from the village elders and the daimyo to elect a new Mizukage hasn't helped the state of the country either. Without proper clear guidance, the shinobi were left to do what they felt was best. Now that the inauguration of the new Mizukage, Hōzuki Chigetsu, had finally finished, it was time for the Village Hidden by Mist to fight back.

This 'mini' event will run from the 19th of July to the 19th of August and during this period every mission can be taken once by everyone. Threads may only be started with these missions in this period and can be completed at any point. Upon completing all 5 missions you'll be awarded an additional 5 ep.


Mission name: Rats in a house.
Mission rank: C-rank
Objective: Get rid of the thugs.
Location: Kirigakure
Reward: 300 ryo + 1 ep
Mission Description: There's a band of thugs roaming through the village hiding in one of the many warehouses that can be found in the city. Round them all up and make sure they won't be able to cause any more harm.

Mission Details: There are 8 thugs total hiding in the warehouse. Their mostly brawny people having C-2 strength and endurance with their other stats at D-2. They also possess a wide variety of crude weapons that are capable of inflicting mid value C-rank damage.


Mission name: Ambushed routes.
Mission rank: C-rank
Objective: Secure the trade routes.
Location: Kirigakure Wilderness
Reward: 300 ryo + 1 ep
Mission Description: With the land in such an uproar a lot of the trade routes are being ambushed. Secure one of the many trade routes that go out of the village to any of the remote villages in the country.

Mission Details: There are two ways of going about this mission. It's either possible to openly protect the route and clear any spots from which a trade route could be ambushed or shadow the trade cart and clear the bandit group that would attack the trade cart. In either case, you'll end up facing a group of 6 bandits. These bandits have put their emphasis on being covert and subtle. Their dexterity and perception are of C-2, their speed is at C-0 and their strength and endurance are at D-1. Their lack of damage is supplemented by the use of high C-rank weapon which deals max damage for their rank. They also possess a wide variety of supplement items such as, but not limited to, smoke bombs and tripwire.


Mission name: Enslaved.
Mission rank: B-rank
Objective: Rescue the captives.
Location: Kirigakure wilderness
Reward: 500 ryo + 1 ep
Mission Description: A lot of kidnapping has happened in one of the more rural villages, investigate and find the lost people.

Mission Details: A rich man has hired a couple of crooked ninja's to help do his dirty work for him. Capturing young children to work as slaves for him as they grow up. Once you find the location of where they're held captive, you'll find that it's relatively heavily guarded. Releasing the captives through stealth or brute force. At one point or another, you'll be forced to engage with some of the guards. In total there are 15 guards in the building, at least 5 have to be encountered. They all possess an average of B-0 in their stats, two specializations of A-rank and a single element of A-rank. They possess jutsu for their corresponding specs and elements. Further, they're not beyond doing the cruelest of things to get their tasks complete, even if that means killing the captives.


Mission name: Bandit Warlord.
Mission rank: B-Rank
Objective: Kill the warlord claiming to be the Mizukage.
Location: Land of Water
Reward: 500 ryo + 1 EP
Mission Description: A bandit warlord have built up a sizable army in the countryside using peasants and mercenaries. They’re claiming that they intend to march on Kirigakure and declare themselves the true Mizukage. This is unacceptable. Get rid of this threat by any means necessary, and disperse the army they’ve gathered.

Mission Details: The bandit warlord may be either killed or captured, but they cannot be talked down or convinced away from their goal by any means. The warlord will be a relatively run of the mill jonin in strength, having A-0 stats across the board and having access to the Water Nature Library up to S-Rank and the Fire Nature Library up to A-Rank. They also possess a wide variety of supplement items such as, but not limited to, smoke bombs and tripwire. The army they’ve gathered will be collected in a campsite out in Kirigakure’s more mountainous region, and will consist of roughly two hundred peasant civilian level fighters, and roughly a dozen genin. The peasants will all have E-0 stats across the board and will likely flee should an engagement turn against them. The genin will each have D-0 stats across the board and access to the Water Nature Library up to C-Rank.


Mission name: Disloyalty
Mission rank: B-Rank
Objective: Assert order among shinobi forces.
Location: Kirigakure
Reward: 500 ryo + 1 EP
Mission Description: The Land of Water has been sent into a panic at the disappearance of the Mizukage. Large portions of Kirigakure’s shinobi forces have gone without pay due to the bureaucratic inaction on the part of the Daimyo and village elders, and because of this, the previously well-oiled machine of Kirigakure’s military has ground to a halt. Those who aren’t paralyzed into inaction at the lack of pay have taken their frustrations out into the suburbs of Kirigakure and Kibo, where they’ve been offering “insurance” to the wealthier landowners. This is nothing more than an act of desertion though, and so you, a more loyal shinobi, will have to root out these deserters and convince them to either return to Kirigakure or face the consequences.

Mission Details: There are two ways to complete this mission. It is either possible to convince the several shinobi who have deserted to return to Kirigakure and simply wait for the backpay they’re owed, or forcibly bring them back to face corporal punishment for their desertion. As these former shinobi are simply attempting to capitalize on the wealth of the surrounding noblemen they’ll be more than willing to return should they feel that what they’re owed will be paid back. These jonin strength shinobi will do their best to limit any collateral damage to the farmlands and suburbs of Kirigakure, and thus will not engage in large scale area of effect ninjutsu. There will be three of them, and they will all possess B-3 stats across the board in addition to the ability to use techniques up to A-Rank in strength from the Water Nature Library. They also possess a wide variety of supplement items such as, but not limited to, smoke bombs and tripwire.
