Kirigakure as a vast militaristic nation that few other nations have a hope of comparing to should they come to war, and as such Kirigakure is known to have an impeccably well organized standing army and ninja force. Squads in Kirigakure are sorted by the rank of the Leader of the squad, the highest being Hunter Squads who are known to be experts at eliminating other ninja specifically, with the lowest being chuunin squads, usually consisting of Genin and lead by a Chuunin. Unlike many of the other nations, Kirigakure's squads assigned at Genin are not static, ninja are known to, and even encouraged to, break up and form new squads for individual tasks and missions that their skill sets would be considered an asset for before returning to their old ones. This operation can lead to high ranking ninja or even lower ranking ninja being a part of multiple squads at any given time.

Ninja who are part of squads, when learning from their mentors and performing missions together, naturally benefit from the bonuses offered in the Squad Rules. Ninja in kiri are able to be members of up to 2 active squads at any given time and cannot be a part of any more however, special divisions like the Kage squad and the 7 swordsmen are considered as squads for the purposes of those rules when 3 or more of them are working together, and do not contribute to this limit. Additionally, players are able to app NPC squads and offer them to be added to the list to further expand the forces of Kirigakure no Sato. These NPC's are public, but should be cared for in threads as though they are PC's for the purposes of Metagaming and Godmodding.

The seven swordsman of Kirigakure, are legendary weapons masters who are each granted one of these new bladed relics, each of which are known far and wide for both their power, and their difficulty to wield. To become a member of the Seven Swordsman is the highest honour the Mizukage is able to bestow upon ninja of Kirigakure.

Each of the ninja given one of these blades become an Honorary member of the land of waves, becoming protected by its edicts and its boarders, this means that a ninja who is a part of another village becomes entwined in an interesting position between two villages, while non Kiri criminals and Ronin become bound to Kirigakure by both honour and Duty.

Though the swordsman are powerful ninja in their own right, their duty is more the safety and the village and the country, rather than the word of the Mizukage herself. The Seven Swordsman are in fact, in such a trusted position that the Mizukage often holds their council on par with the villages Sanin in importance.

These swordsman are the Elite of the Elite, and though many of them hold the rank of Jounin or even Sanin, they stand apart as the most powerful members in Kirigakure, and by attaining the weapons they wield, their names are etched in the annals of time and are never forgotten.

To Qualify as a member of the 7 swordsman, you must be an A-Rank ninja or higher with Chakra Flow trained to at least S-Rank.

Once you have applied for the position you will be given a task by either the current Commander or the Mizukage as a 'test.' This test will come at a word count of 6000 words and a cost of 2500 Ryo.

The only known rank among the members of the Seven Swordsman, is the Commander, from which the other Swordsman revere and follow as their leader. Always the wielder of Sessho Sekki (or another SS-Ranked legendary weapon), the Ninja must be an S-Rank ninja with SS-Rank Chakra Flow to apply, and must also complete a task set by the Mizukage to attain the position like the other Swordsman. There will be always only one commander at each given time.

Each of the Legendary Seven Swords of Kirigakure are relics which for generations have been wielded by the most powerful swordsmen of their respective ages. As such, the blades almost have a living need to be used by those with skill in swordsmanship. Should the blades fall into disuse for very long periods of time, they are known to find their way to the land of Mist for relocation.

Each of the S-Rank Seven Swords as legendary artifacts are each aged relics, some of them little more than shadows of their former selves or future potential, be they degraded by years in both power and sharpness or greater than they appear. But that is not to say that they shall forever remain this way, to the ninja willing to look for ancient and secret means to reforge the blades into their 'true' selves would find their power dramatically increase into something truly fantastic.

At the cost of 10k Ryo, and a 6k word minimum 'plot' thread organised by the kage OOC, a member of the 7 Swordsmen can journey on a search for a means to awaken the true nature of any of the S-Rank swords they possess. The method of tempering can take many forms, be it searching out for the legendary smith whom forged them, renewing the fading chakra within the weapon or many, many other means which can 'awaken' the power within the sword. Once the deed is done, the weapon is reforged by the kage into its true state, and the swordsman's epic tale is recorded for the ages on the weapons history as part of the weapons' legend for all to know and see.

Unlike the ANBU whom patrol the land of Kirigakure, operating within the bounds of the country, keeping both its people and its borders safe. Hunter ninja, need not worry themselves with the plight of the ANBU or their country, living much of their lives outside of Kirigakure as nomads and wanderers, lending themselves out to countries as mercenaries and hunting down bounties as the core export of the village hidden in the mist. Hunter ninja, are an alternate organization standing along side and parallel to Kirigakure no Sato's dedicated ANBU corps, however similar in dealings they can be, Hunter Ninja operate with their own Captains, Commander and their own ranks, fiercely loyal to the Mizukage to the letter of the law, whomever the Mizukage may be at the time. Hunter ninja roam the continents in and out of Kirigakure, forever looking for Missions for both the ryo to make a living, as well as send back to their country to bolster the overall economy of Kirigakure no Sato.

Hunter Ninja are widely known, respected, and feared world-wide for their effective and brutal tactics, as well as their advanced, effective and borderline cruel weaponry. Their weapons ranging from barbed senbon to bombs and even trap-making seals. Above all, they're known as the two faced serpents of the village in the mist, due to their mentality, rumored to completely focus on the letter of their missions, whether it be cutting down the defenseless or turning against even the closest of friends should they find their names written within their list of bounties without thought or hesitation.

Hunter ninja can be used in any thread in the ninja world where there is an NPC missing ninja or target in order to aid in their capture or elimination. The process of doing so ICly would usually require a message to be sent to a local kirigakure office asking for aid before having the required number of Hunter ninja sent to aid the person, to a maximum of 1 full squad (3 hunter ninja.) Hunter ninja are primarily anti-ninja, but are also trained from sabotage to body-guarding, scouting, spying and even political assassination, these ninja are the highest class of mercenaries and are in no slim number nor short on demand in almost any country.

By looks alone, Hunter Ninja are immediately distinct from ANBU save for a few functional similarities. Commonly wearing black with blue trimmed uniforms and armour variants rather than the silver-blue armours and black-brown underlay of normal Kirigakure ninja and ANBU. The Masks of the Hunter Ninja also bearing a few differences, completely featureless aside for the holes made for the eyes, Hunter Ninja masks do not bare the animal features of traditional ANBU. Instead, across the surface of the face of the mask, each mask bears coloured patterns, symbols or designs donning the plain ceramic masks which differ from ninja to ninja, potentially representing a great many personal or practical uses.

By and large however, save for commonly used equipment which were made famous by the Hunter Ninja of Kirigakure, the Armour of the Hunter Ninja is identical to the countries' ANBU save for colour scheme and other small aesthetic quirks which often change from ninja to ninja. Hunter Ninja receive the same Free Armour & B rank item for joining the prestigious group and the free upgrade or A rank item when becoming Commander of the Hunter Ninja.

Hunter Ninja Mask:

The Requirements to be met for Attaining Hunter Ninja are Identical to those of ANBU, requiring a special Jounin to have completed 8 missions and pay 2500 ryo. Approval grants all of the perks of the basic ANBU, as well as all jutsu and items.

Conversely to become the Commander of the Hunter Ninja, it requires 10 missions and 3000 ryo. As usual there will be only one Commander Slot for the village.

Alternatively one may simply pay 4500 ryo with Kage approval for either stage so long as you're the appropriate rank.

When it comes to invasions, due to the much lower density of Hunter Ninja spread out across the ninja world, Hunter Ninja are not able to simply automatically invade the threads of others, and must roll to invade in the countries they are in as per normal. However, due to them being sought out and widely renown for their efficiency, Hunter Ninja receive +15% to the rewards given to them from missions, upgrading to +30% at Commander as per usual with ANBU.

When it comes to training and techniques, unlike their Brothers and Sisters, Hunter Ninja are known to be far more aggressive, as a shadow of Kirigakure's bloody past, they fear nothing. Hunter Ninja track down and eliminate their targets with the fiercest of resolves, each agent is trained in offensive arts, straying from the more balanced path of the ANBU, learning instead a potent variant of the Hidden Mist Technique called the 'Predator Concealing Mist Technique' upon becoming a Hunter Ninja as well as the 'Silent Killing Technique' in order to better stalk and bring down their elusive targets. These two techniques replace the 'peaceful stasis palm' and 'ANBU Barrier' techniques which provide more balanced utility, synonymous with the ANBU corps, but otherwise, Hunter ninja receive all other ANBU techniques Freely as normal.
